This is the fist Applebee's I have ever been to that had breakfast! I have to say it was great. It was so good that I ate breakfast here everday for a week. The service was great as well. I was here 8 am every morning and it was slow. I love that about the place. Highley recommended for breakfast. I cant say about after breakfast.
Been here many times when we have visited NYC. It's always clean, food comes fast and good service. For a simple quick meal (most below $20) would definitely recommend. Pictured is their chicken burger with chips (I chose it grilled my partner had the breaded both were very nice)
Adrianna was very warm and welcoming. She gave great service and recommendations. I definitely recommend trying something new every time you go. She's never led me astray with her recommendations.
I had a lovely experience being served by Adrianna. She was incredibly friendly and attentive to my table! The food was great and just what my group needed. The whiskey bacon burger was incredible and very filling.
Brought my mom to New York on a trip for her birthday and Dylan was very helpful to make sure she had a great dinner! He was on top of his service and had a very positive attitude. He deserves a raise
Fantastic breakfast. Shame it was our last day, we would have gone back for lunch. Great service, great value. Definitely recommend the breakfast burrito
Friendly & helpful service by Eric. Very knowledgeable about menu items. We had many food requests that can be annoying but he handled our guests with care and kindness. Very appreciative for his hard work and service. Food was good.
Oh em gee ! AMAZING AND TASTY, our waitress Norma was SPECTACULAR and made our experience that much better. Even when it was busy, she attended us with care, AMAZINGx WILL BE BACK
Had great service from Hussein. Came in for a late night meal and drinks with friends and left full and satisfied. Really attentive and friendly service. Would recommend over the 42nd st location.
Food was delicious, comfortable and bright, uplifting surroundings. Cocktails are delicious. Our server, Allyssa, was warm, friendly and very efficient. Highly recommend here if you're looking somewhere and have a family.
We had a perfect experience at Applebee’s! Everything was absolutely great from start to finish. Our orders were delivered correctly, exactly as requested, and the food was delicious and fresh. We were attended by Adrianna and her colleague, and they were both fantastic — friendly, attentive, and very professional. They made sure we had everything we needed and truly enhanced our dining experience. Thank you for the excellent service and wonderful meal. We will definitely be coming back!
We had Donnell serving us and he was great! He helped us out with the menu and recommended some great add-ons. He checked on us a lot and helped me arrange a birthday surprise. Cassidy is also a great hostess!!! I called her before hand to make a reservation and she spoke very kindly and professionally over the phone. She also helped me with arranging a birthday surprise. The oven-baked cookie is a dessert must!
I had a fantastic experience at Applebee’s, and a big part of that was thanks to our waiter, Eric. He was an absolutely great guy - friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we sat down. He made sure everything was perfect, checked in at just the right times, and had a brilliant attitude that really made the whole meal more enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly cares about giving great service, and Eric definitely does. He’s a real credit to the team, and I hope his hard work gets recognized. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
Outstanding service from Lipu at Applebee’s New York We had such a fantastic experience thanks to our server, Lipu. From the moment we sat down, he brought this perfect mix of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care that made the whole meal feel special. He anticipated what we needed before we even asked, checked in at just the right moments, and kept everything running smoothly without ever feeling rushed. On top of that, he had such a friendly, upbeat energy that really lifted the whole table. It’s rare to meet someone who can make a busy restaurant feel personal, but Lipu absolutely did. He turned a simple dinner into a standout experience. If you’re visiting Applebee’s in New York, ask for Lipu — he’s a star.
Junior's Restaurant & Bakery is a classic New York diner that's a must-visit for anyone craving iconic cheesecake and a warm atmosphere. This beloved institution has been serving up delicious American comfort food since 1950, and it's easy to see why it's a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The menu is packed with mouthwatering options, from fluffy pancakes and decadent French toast to savory burgers and sandwiches. But let's be real, the star of the show is the cheesecake – it's creamy, rich, and utterly addictive. Whether you opt for the classic Original Cheesecake or something a little more adventurous like the Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake, you won't be disappointed. Service is top-notch, with friendly staff who'll make you feel right at home. And don't worry about breaking the bank – prices are reasonable, with most meals falling in the $20-$30 range. Highlights: - Iconic Cheesecake: A must-try, with a graham cracker crust and fresh strawberries - Classic American Comfort Food: Burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast favorites - Warm Atmosphere: Cozy vibes and friendly service
Junior’s Restaurant may look a bit old-fashioned, but the service and food were excellent. From the moment we arrived, the staff was very attentive. Someone was always checking to see if we needed anything or wanted more drinks. Even when the restaurant became completely full, the service never slowed down, and the staff continued to check on us regularly. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were very generous. The chicken portion, in particular, was very large. If you are looking for a place that serves high-quality food with big portions, this is the right place. Highly recommended.
Was going to see the Bueno Vista Social Club show on 45thth street in NYC & noticed this restaurant 1/2 a block away and had plenty of time to have lunch. What a find. The food was exceptional. It reminded me of my youth in NYC and traditional Delis We ordered Matzah Ball soup to start and it was outstanding. The Matzah Balls were huge and fluffy. Of course, they had pickles, Cole slaw & beets in small dishes on the table. For the main dish we ordered Ruben Sandwiches. My wife ordered a combo of corned beef & pastrami & ordered the pastrami. They were huge and the bast we ever had. We were stuffed but could not leave without having their famous cheesecake for desert. We ordered the raspberry swirl and was unbelievably light tasty. We had small bottles of Proseco to top off our meal. The price and wait to get a table was well worth it. When we left the restaurant, the line was queuing up for our show; perfect timing.
Feels a little like a chain because there’s more than one, but it really is great food! Made the right decision and got the matzoh ball soup! So good especially on this freezing cold New Year’s Day! You can ask for things that aren’t on the menu like a vanilla Coke and it’s perfection! My BF ordered us something else which is potato pancakes and beef brisket with three sides of different dressings, applesauce, and then he also requested sour cream, really really good!!!
Went to Junior's just for dessert and everything was great. We got their: - Pumpkin pie cheesecake - this is a slice from a pie that was half pumpkin pie on the bottom with a cheesecake on top. - Carrot cake cheesecake - a real, hearty carrot cake layered in between cheese cake. - Fox's U-Bet Brooklyn egg cream - old-timey chocolate soda. Service was polite, quick and accommodating. Don't sleep on Junior's famous cheese cakes and desserts!
Great place with a cool atmosphere and better people. Kyle was our waitress at the bar and was the kindest person. She made very good recommendations (the pumpkin pie cheesecake 10 out of 10) and was so considerate with our cultural questions. First impression of NYC at this restaurant, 11 out of 10.
Junior’s in Times Square delivers solid classic deli comfort, and the food overall was very good. The pastrami is the clear standout—tender, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a New York deli sandwich. I’d recommend sticking to that, though, as the turkey and corned beef were on the leaner side and ended up a bit dry. Still, for a hearty meal in the middle of Times Square, Junior’s is a reliable choice.
A family-friendly restaurant with a long history in New York, located in the heart of Times Square. They offer a variety of cheesecakes, very good Burgers, and Delicate Sandwiches. I was expecting a better Matzah Ball Soup, but I found it a little salty. The waiters were busy and a bit rushed when taking our order. Thank you JUNIOR'S 👍
First night in NYC and came straight to Juniors off of a recommendation and it did not disappoint! I had the steak sandwich which was cooked to a great medium and seasoned well. We also had the pastrami sandwich that was tasty and had a great thousand island dressing to go with it. My boys split the chicken and ribs dish which was super tasty. We also had a crease chicken salad that had great flavor. Overall, great food at a reasonable price and good portions.
Juniors is a cozy spot that serves classic comfort food with generous portions and rich flavors. During my visit, I tried several dishes, and each one stood out in its own way. First, the matzo ball soup was warm and flavorful. The broth was rich but light, and the matzo ball was perfectly soft and fluffy — it practically melted in my mouth. It’s the kind of soup that makes you feel at home. Next, we had a couple of sandwiches, and they were fantastic. The bread was fresh, soft, and slightly buttery, while the fillings were packed with flavor. The chicken salad sandwich, topped with crisp lettuce and juicy tomatoes, was especially delicious and satisfying. The fried shrimp platter was another highlight. The shrimp were golden and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and paired perfectly with tangy tartar sauce and fresh lemon wedges. Overall, Juniors delivers hearty, well-made dishes that feel comforting and satisfying. The quality of the food, combined with generous portions, makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. If you’re craving classic homestyle cooking, Juniors is definitely worth a visit!
Junior's Restaurant & Bakery – Times Square, NYC Junior’s is a gem just half a block from Times Square—literally right next to the Lion King Broadway Theatre and about a block from our hotel (SpringHill Suites Times Square). Out of all the places we dined during our weeklong NYC trip, this one easily made our top 3. The service was good, though not exceptional—but the food more than made up for it. I tried matzoh ball soup for the very first time, and it was hearty, flavorful, and comforting—everything you'd hope for in a classic deli soup. The kids went for the foot-long hot dogs, which were a big hit. My wife ordered the clubhouse sandwich, and when it arrived, we all laughed—it could’ve fed a small army. I had the corned beef and pastrami sandwich with red potato salad, and it was just as massive and delicious as you'd expect from a New York deli. Definitely not a one-person meal, but I gave it my best shot. We couldn’t leave without trying dessert, and my wife’s strawberry cheesecake was absolutely out of this world—rich, creamy, and easily the best cheesecake we had during our trip. Prices were a bit on the higher side, but that’s to be expected in Times Square. Still, they felt fair given the quality and portion sizes. My only regret? Not finding this place sooner. It would’ve been our go-to spot throughout the week.
Before watching The Great Gatsby Broadway show at 8 PM, I stopped by Applebee’s near Times Square for dinner 🍽️ Ordered BBQ ribs and chicken wings with Sweet Asian Chili Sauce both were flavorful and tender, way better than expected I asked to sit on the 2nd floor nice street view, less crowded than the 1st floor. Clean restroom, wide variety of menu options, and they even offered a complimentary photo print! 📸 A perfect pre-show dinner delicious food and great vibes 💛
Great value and flavor — definitely one of the better American fast food places I’ve had. Generous portions and everything tasted great. However, service during happy hour was unusually slow. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and they held our card at the bar, which was unexpected and a bit uncomfortable. That was the only downside to an otherwise good experience.
It offers a casual and friendly dining experience, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The menu has a wide variety of American classics, from burgers to ribs, with generous portions and good value for money. The service is usually quick and welcoming, and the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming.
We had lunch here and found this place to be great for food and drinks. Ambiance is pleasant but needs to be deep cleaned, though. Steak here is good. Drinks are great. The overall menu is rich, and the service is quick during non rush hours. What deserves a special mention? Nothing, I might have to visit again to find something that is above and beyond. What could be better? The seating area needs to be cleaned better.
We stopped in for a slice of cheesecake (or 2) and had a good experience. The location is close to Times Square and it is spacious inside. Our table was comfortable and our service was good. We tried the original and the chocolate mousse cheesecakes. They both had great flavor, but the chocolate mousse was the group favorite. They have an extensive food menu. It was on the pricier side, but it’s NYC pricing, close to Times Square and the portion sizes were huge. Definitely worth checking out if in the area.
We went to juniors in the early afternoon for a quick meal before heading back to the square and the wife had the burger special D and I had the soup and sandwich lunch special with split pea soup and a Pastrami sandwich. My wife said the burger was good and the fries were actually the highlight of her meal. The burger was a little think for her liking but maybe okay for some. We think a thinner patty maybe even two thinner patties would be better but that is our opinion of course. The meat was good quality. I had the split pea and pastrami and both were very good. The pastrami was in my top 10 which I would say is very very good and the split pea would be in my top 25. It was good but was missing some heavy stock and cream flavor in my opinion. We did enjoy our meal and would go back though. We were too full for cheesecake which we wanted but just couldn’t eat. Please note they have Pepsi and not Coke products. The waiter told us they had Diet Coke but my wife knew instantly it wasn’t…if you know, you know!!
Hello my Foodies! I forgot to post this one. I was visiting NY with family and I always wanted to try this place. We had a good time here. The place is well lit and the decor is cool. The server was very nice. The food portions were big. The price was not over the top, but it's also NY so that sandwich I got was a couple more dollars then I would normally spend, but hey I was on vacation! The food was pretty good overall. I was very excited to try the cheesecake as they are supposed to have very good ones. They even have their own separate bakery attached on the side of the restaurant. I got the apple pie cheesecake. I love apple pie and Bakers Square has the best apple cheesecake. Well unfortunately they still do. This one was not good. I was a little disappointed in the cheesecake. However, they have so many other options I think I will try their traditional strawberry one and work my way down the list. For now I do not recommend the apple one. Sorry folks. If you are in the area come check them out.
I liked the warm setting and helpful staff. Even though I had a reservation, I still waited about 15 minutes to be seated, but the food made the delay easier to overlook. The pastrami burger was good, and the chocolate cheesecake was the best part of the meal. Overall, the experience was solid with a few small bumps.
For a chain restaurant serving North Americana staples I’m impressed. This isn’t high end eating, rather its greasy spoon type dishes that are executed really well. For example, I had corn beef hash…but man, that had to be the best I’ve ever had in this genre. The retro 1950’s atmosphere was very fresh & fun. I wanted to sample their cheesecake but I had no space left. And lastly it’s a nice escape from the noise & lights of time square. Price points are high, but so is everything else in NYC.
I pass by almost every weekend and finally decided to give it a try. The food was good. Loved the pickles and the potato salad. The lemonade too was good, appreciated the refill option. The chicken tenders were definitely overpriced and the Greek salad lacked tomatoes. The cheesecake was okay.
Atmosphere is great and it was easy to get into the restaurant at 8:30 in the morning on a Sunday. Service was OK. Food was marginal and somewhat disappointing. The idea of adding cereal crumbs to French toast wasn’t appealing, and the dish was quite heavy. (Fried??). The apple fruit side, which was probably a topping for the French toast was overly sweet. Corn beef hash with dry as well as the potatoes that came with it. Pancakes were dry.
The staff are very rude. They are not helpful with your requests. When we wanted to split the bill, they didn't want to deal with it and insisted we pay in cash or with a card in one go.
I went into this store today, 11/24/2025, at 4:15pm and was met with the worst hospitality and rudest bar staff in world. The lower level bar on 52nd side was filthy. I asked a brown skin male multiple times to clean it before he heard me and asked for a beer. He rudely told me he was leaving and pointed to another bartender named Willmarire M. That is a NOT hospitality. She seemed like the didn’t know what she was doing. He left and I had to repeat myself to her to ask for a beer and she had to ask a 3rd bartender with white skin and long blonde grey and black braids that I saw outside before entering. She came in with an attitude and a mean mug and offered no hospitality whatsoever to me and ignored me. I had to wait 10 min to pay my check and did so without leaving a tip. I went to the door greeter and asked for the MOD named “Paige” and she never showed up. This place is the absolute worst. I have 8 years in hospitality and I know what service is, this was and is, not it.

Junior's: A Taste of Classic NYC Diner Charm (and Cheesecake!)
Whenever someone asks about those classic New York spots, Junior's usually pops up.
