The service was incredible and our server (Aymara) was excellent. She knew the entire menu front and back. She was able to offer options and alternatives to dishes we had questions about. She checked on us a handful of times and our food wait time was very short. The overall vibe and energy in the restaurant is beautiful! I love this spot!

Came to Mamazul on a Friday and had a lovely dinner! We got the spicy rio grande cocktail which was really delicious and great to share! I liked that the tacos were mix and match. The vibe inside is very lively- fun music with lights and cool decor. Our waiter, Hugo, was a pleasure! He was attentive and quick with our service! We celebrated a bday and they brought out a shot of tequila with a sparkler and a quacking duck! Overall a really fun experience!

This place is a MUST if you like Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere es so nice, the music so good! A mix of old and new latin music ✨ Hugo was our amazing host and he delivered 20/10 service will definitely recommend to ask for him and the food simply mouthwatering

My friend and I sat at the bar. Ordered Nachos and drinks. Got the drinks was on the next round when the people next to us came in sat down, they ordered and their order came out.....what happened to the nachos??? The bartender was very nice about but the food service needs improvement.

There are only a few places that will get me to travel into Manhattan for food, and this is one of them. Service was ok, but the atmosphere and the food were amazing. It's worth the congestion pricing!

If this review is helpful, please make sure you give it a like. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 I actually had a blast at Mamazul. We took my cousin here for her birthday. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they did a birthday singing for her, which definitely made it perfect. I had the Beet salad with shrimp and the truffle fries. When they brought the food out, they forgot to put the shrimp on it. So we had to get that corrected. Also, they mix the fries up. They gave my little cousin my truffle fries and gave me the garlic fries.I wasn't able to tell the difference until after I tasted them. So we did have to have them, correct that as well . There were a few more minor mistakes, and that's the only reason why I don't give it a perfect score. But all in all, I would definitely go back here. The atmosphere was nice. The food was good and it was plentiful.

Great place with just about everything else being great. Food, service, portion sizes, and drinks. Only reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars is due to the price. It’s midtown and in a touristy area so it’s somewhat understandable.

I attended Mamazul for my birthday dinner with friends and family. The waitress was very short with her responses, service was lacking n slow. The food was decent but pretty overpriced in my opinion. The birria for example was only 3 tacos and consume for $30 no rice or beans or anything else. The watermelon margarita was in a very small short glass for $20. I understand this is NYC but I was surprised. They also charged $20 for 4 churrp sticks with a sparkler for my birthday dessert. Maybe the server didn't put in effort because we were a table of 6 n there is a mandatory automatic 20% gratuity added to our bill but either way I doubt any of us will return.

My drink was very delicious the did not skimp on the alcohol. The appetizer was good could have been a little more the portions was small Especially for the price. My entrée would have been great except it came out cold. My waitress forgot about me she took my appetizer order and never came back. Had to call another waitress over to take care of me. The waitress did try to accommodate me but it didn’t help the situation. The decor was nice.

I was served raw shrimp ceviche. I was told by the server “this is the Mexican way”. However, it was completely raw. I even had a chef of a Michelin rated restaurant verify. UPDATE: The restaurant was unable to process a refund as they were not familiar with the technology to do so.
