I just had the most lovely midday outdoor dining experience. They were packed, and yet managed to give us personalized attention, and never rushed us. The burrata is from Puglia and absolutely delicious. The prosciutto, also from Italy, is aged 48 months and was nice and dry and velvety soft. The olive oil is from Tuscany and was floral and aromatic. Tiramisu didn’t last long enough for a photo. The owner talked to us about the products he uses and the difference between the olive oil regions - I love learning things like that! Take someone special here - it’s fantastic.
Great food and a very nice atmosphere. This was my second time at Mesa Luna and everything was excellent again. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was great, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d recommend.
Very friendly service and staff, felt very welcome and the atmosphere and noise was great!! The food was good, too. Even during lunch, the staff took time to be friendly and the food wasnt too much of a wait. Everything was very good and seemed very fresh, thank you! Will be on my radar next time in the area!!
placed a large order with them for a company event, the order was fulfilled in a timely manner, Joe was very polite and kept a open line of communication. Over all this was a pleasant experience.
Great food. Attention to quality great service excellent wines reasonably priced. Always top quality.
The atmosphere was amazing, our waiter Carlos was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The food tasted like it was made in my grandmothers kitchen. 10/10 recommend the lasagna bolognese and tiramisu. Will visit again as soon as possible!
Very good pasta and a great wood fired pizza oven. The staff were very kind to our 3 year old who really enjoyed himself. Its small inside but I enjoyed the clamor. It made things feel more european.
Quaint Italian resto. Friendly service and great variety on the menu from salads and antipasti to pasta, pizza, and salmon and steak. Our table ordered margarita pizza, lasagna, ravioli, and linguine nere. Perfect al dente pasta and a mildly spicy tomato sauce with nuggets of tomatoey grape tomatoes made for a perfect black linguine. Everyone was happy with their meals.
Absolutely loved the veggie panini. Buffalo Mozzarella pizza would have been greatly enhanced with some cherry tomatoes. Service was great. Atmosphere and crowd were eclectic and fun. The music selection was unfitting for a trattoria. Rap? Still, I would highly recommend this spot. A real NY example of how important and well executed food is in the city.
Absolutely amazing! My mom and I came in for dinner and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The food was a 10 out of 20. Our waitress was so attentive, sweet and gave us great recommendations. I wish I remembered her name but she said she’s been working there for six years! The bread they served was amazing it was so fresh. As an appetizer we got the Caesar salad it was super good and very fresh we loved the twist with the crunchy bacon! For our entrees we had the margarita pizza & the Taglierini alla ciociara. The margarita pizza was super thin and so tasty. The Taglierini alla ciociara was probably one of the best pastas we have ever had. So much flavor in everything! We will definitely be coming back soon! If you’re looking for an Italian place that has great food this is the place for you!
I had a wonderful dinner here. I got the Linguine Nere Sciue Sciue & Gamberetti and it was probably the best pasta dish I’ve had in a while. For dessert, I had the tiramisu, which I inhaled in about four minutes. Everything was great, the texture of the pasta was perfect and the slight spiciness of the red sauce really complimented the dish. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful, and I would come back here in a heartbeat.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch here, including Spaghetti al tonna. I didn't look up one ingredient, Nduja, which is actually a spicy, spreadable pork sausage--not something I'd normally eat. It explained the nice kick to the dish but I would prefer this dish without. Wines were pricey for the quality ($17 for a standard Montepulciano) but enjoyable none the less. Top notch espresso and a rich chocolate cake finale.
This place was highly recommended for it’s delicious food. Hmm, I would not even say it was ok. We ordered pizza, shrimps and calamari. Calamari was so bad, it had bitterness, I’m not sure if the problem was with souses or calamari itself but we couldn’t eat it. The service was pretty good, everyone was nice and understanding, they didn’t charge us for the calamari, and it was not a problem. Pizza with mushrooms was ok, as shrimps were, but I will not come back or recommend anyone this place. Come on guys! The main reason we go to restaurants is delicious food!
I have been going to Mezzaluna for years with my family and friends. However in the past year I have noticed that the quality and care for their food has gone down ten fold. Recently I ordered the chicken milanese and noticed that my tomatoe still had the sticker on it and had been sliced up with the sticker on it. When i brought this lack of the kitchens sanitary awareness to the manager, he shrugged and only discounted an iced tea from the check, not the chicken milanese. Now knowing how far the quality has gone down, I will not be returning to this establishment that is a shadow of what it used to be.
Manager drunk disrespecting us all the time, gave us table at 9:30, & kicked us out by 10:05, but food had been in table for 10 minutes when he started to say, this isn’t Madrid making reference in Spain you typically would eat late. Can you leave, I wanna go home he said, and I immediately asked for the bill, two workers came up & said sorry for his behaviour making reference he was drunk, but clearly unacceptable. I still tipped 20%, ain’t the workers fault manager is so unprofessional
