Very thick broth which was absolutely great though the aftertaste could have been better, chewy noodles and delicious but scarce bamboo. Super authentic. 8.5/10

We saw a youtube video about this place and had to try it. It was so good! I had never had ramon so full of flavor. We were in NYC for 3 days and honestly was the best food we had the whole stay. This is our third time in NYC and this will definitely be a place I return to in the future.

Broth is suburb, one of the best in NYC. Very few ramen places have broth that is this perfect. Ignore the bad reviews- those people don't' know anything about ramen. This is authentic Japanese ramen. It's flawless.

From the second we walked Into the restaurant we were greeted, sat down to drink drinks and felt comfortable to arrive within less than 10 minutes. Excellent fresh. Quality

This was a really good ramen restaurant. Small, intimate, and cozy, with delicious ramen that really hit the spot. I’d happily come back.

Solid Ramen place. It’s pretty small but overall it’s a great atmosphere and very intimate. I recommend going with friends and nice for a cold day.

I had to see if Ramen Nakamura lived up to its #3 ranking on Timeout's best ramen list. This hidden gem on the Lower East Side is a small, intimate spot perfect for a quick, fantastic meal. The appetizers were a highlight, especially the yummy Yuzu Wings-which was my favorite. Also enjoyed the shishito peppers, the geso calamari had a nice chew. My parents enjoyed the corn ribs and gyoza. For ramen, our table tried the rich and creamy Tontoro Pork, the light and clean Jidori Chicken and the Tokyo Tsukemen with pork and flavorful fish dipping sauce. I've just returned from Japan and this is pretty authentic ramen. A special shout-out to our server, Carlos, who was attentive and made the experience even better. And a fun fact we learned: Chef Nakamura is one of the "Ramen Gods," a title earned from competing on a Japanese TV show called Ramen King, the ramen version of Iron Chef.

Nakamura reminds me of the small places with good ramen in Tokyo and Kyoto. Small wooden tables, a tiny bar, excellent ramen and a clean and shiny place that makes you want to keep sitting there and watching the small kitchen making the magic of delicious ramen. We had the pork ramen and the chicken curry ramen. Both broth and noodles were savory , rich and delicious we both added chili 🌶️ oil cause we like it spicy 🌶️, we added cooked egg which was perfect and the experience was excellent with a very friendly and welcoming staff. It is like a small ramen bar somewhere in the back of a small neighborhood in Tokyo.

This place has the BEST clear ramen broth (though I wouldn't be surprised if their creamy tonkatsu-esque broth was good as well, I just haven't tried it yet). I've had the yuzu shrimp wonton ramen (incredible, lovely yuzu shoyu type flavor without being too strong), the xo miso (the 8-year in house fermented miso is incredible) and the torigara ramen (probably the best chicken ramen I've eaten). All were *excellent*. The chili oil they provided for the table was a great topping. Their chicken katsu rice bowl is also great, along with the chicken gyoza. 10/10 ramen, love the hole-in-the-wall vibe.

We loved Jidori Chicken (thick noodles) and Torigara Chicken (thinner noodles) ramens - flavorful and light. Also recommend the Edamame pesto as an appetizer!

This place is legit!!! Hands down one of the best ramen bowls I’ve ever had. I ordered the XO Miso (highly recommend adding an egg), and my husband had the Pork Ramen. Both broths were absolutely packed with flavor. The noodles were perfectly chewy and delicious. The food was incredible, but the service was just as memorable. We arrived late, around 9:30pm, and were warmly welcomed without any sense of being rushed. 10/10 recommend!!

Awesome food and portions. The Yuzu Wings were super delicious. We got the ton toro pork ramen (generously add chilli oil, it will be even tastier) and the pulled chashu mazemen. You can also order from the menu of the sister restaurant next door, Niche, which focuses on mazemen. The Yuzu Line Soda was refreshing and just the right amount of both sweetness and carbonation. We will definitely be back. We read a recent article on Time Out New York naming this as the top ramen spot in the city and had to try it out for ourselves. We were lucky to get a same evening reservation and that they could sit us within five minutes on a Saturday night after we were delayed nearly half an hour by the subway (shoutout to the MTA!!!). Super nice staff and it was easy to order via phone/app system. Service was a bit slow but likely because they were busy and nothing that would knock off a star.

Spectacular ramen spot at Lower East Side. Super friendly staff, with passion for what they do. The place is very small so expect to wait for a spot if you go during busiest hours. Recommendations: the ton toro pork, the torigara and the steak mazemen. Delicious

Ton toro pork ramen was delicious. Broth was excellent. Could have had more or bigger pieces of meat, especially for a $19 ramen, and I didn't care for the pickled vegetables, which was not listed in the description. Definitely will come back to try the other ramens. Ordering is done through toast and it is slow! Sometimes it fails to load an item.

Amazing ramen. Ordered the Ton Toro Pork and loved it. I always look for a great broth and this one was luxuriant (and tasted like it was a couple steps away from gravy). Looking forward to coming back!

One of the best ramen I ever had! So delicious! The gyozas were so delicious too. Great service, really friendly staff too. Everything is homemade by them and you can tell why it is the best in NYC and ppl come from all over the place to try it! It’s a small but very comfy and with great vibe. I’m so glad we went there!

A truly amazing experience on a cold winter night in New York city. We hadn't reserved a place and the person at the counter was kind enough to give us a spot at the table instead of the booth adjacent to the wall. For a small dine-in place, they were very well managed and everyone was warm and friendly. The ramen was so good. We ordered one set of appetizer and ramen initially but ended up ordering more. Definitely one of the best finds during our trip. I will recommend this place to anyone who cares for a good host and warm delicious comforting food after a tiring cold day in the streets of NYC

This little hole in the wall ramen shop will be one of the best culinary decisions you can make. Expect to wait for a seat because this place is popular because the quality of the food is top notch. Came here with a party of 5 and they were able to accommodate us. For those who are curious, they have vegan and vegetarian options. Will definitely be back here again. Ramen dishes can be customized witch is always appreciated.

Ramen is delicious, the broth is made extremely well and rich yet balanced. The space is a bit tight but it's also very down to earth and cozy. I'll be back too. Their menu is very unique on what soups they have.

I ordered the tsukemen at this small, eight-table restaurant, which appears to be affiliated with the higher-quality Japanese spot next door. Ordering via QR code was convenient. The noodles, while a generous portion, aligned with the $25 price. The ajitama egg was well-prepared, boasting a lovely yolk. Overall, the bowl of Japanese noodles was decent, though it didn't quite reach the level of Okiboru. The place itself lacks any particular vibe. It's brightly lit and suitable for a quick meal, but don't expect much in terms of ambiance. The service was efficient, and the wait time was minimal. While the tsukemen was a solid offering, it didn't entirely justify the $25 price tag, making the value proposition somewhat questionable. The textures in the noodle bowl were pleasant, with the chewy noodles contrasting nicely against the soft egg. The broth, while flavorful, lacked the depth and complexity I was hoping for. The execution was competent, with fresh ingredients, but the overall experience was unremarkable. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this joint for a special occasion, but it serves its purpose for a quick and convenient meal.

This is a really small place with only few tables and a small bar. We tried two kind of Ramen - classic pork broth which was rich and savory. And chicken broth with spinach and a perfectly cooked egg, this was also great, far more light than the pork broth and had thin noodles. We started with a chicken gyoza which was nice. The staff was super nice but you make the order through an app. The place could be cleaner, tables needed a decent amount of soap, not to mention the floor.

atmosphere was nice but short Hispanic waiter is horrible at seating, I had a party of 6 get there, and I know there’s a wait but then he proceeds to seat two parties before us that also came after us! and proceeds to say that they came before us.

We came here after hearing so many great things, but the experience was terrible. The ramen was just average, and within hours both my partner and I became violently ill with chills, stomach pain, and vomiting. Clearly something was wrong with the food. Very disappointing and honestly unsafe — I would not recommend this place to anyone.
