Always fun! Good music, amazing people, strong drinks. Anthony is my favorite bartender. Highly recommend this bar!! Has yet to disappoint.
Who can give a bar that has 3 dollar happy hour specials anything less than 5 stars in NYC? Oh and did I mention that there's karaoke on Tuesdays which is always a blast? Fun drag shows, fun unpretentious crowd makes this a special gay bar in The Village
It gets cozy in here when there’s a drag show! Phenomenal from start to finish. Bartenders were quick and efficient, kind, and overall this was a wonderful stop on our night in the Village.
What a gay bar should be, not pretentious, friendly and safe. Bathroom could do with some attention.
From the fabulous drag shows to cute bartenders, I’ve never had a bad time at Pieces. If you’re in NYC, this place is a must if you want to dance, sing, and laugh all night.
Nothing makes Pieces feel like home more than the excellent staff, especially Liam. He always welcomes me by name, knows my drink order immediately, and always gives the best conversation. I can always count on the staff to cheer me up on my lowest nights when I just wanna drown my sorrows. Thank you Pieces for being a friend.
Pieces was my first gay bar many years ago. It has never disappointed me. The queens that performed and the bartenders have created a great atsomsphere for this gay cub. Ruby Roo was amazing, great bartender and so friendly.
Great lgbtq bar. They have drag shows on Saturday evenings ( not sure about other nights). The bouncer was exceptionally friendly and nice. Drinks were nice and so was the bartender. Although it's a pretty decently sized bar, it can get a little cramped up when the crowds start pouring in.
Pieces is a WV gem! The bar is usually frequented by locals and attracts a more chill gay crowd compared to HK. Having said that, you'll get the occasional annoying females/visitors who don't know how to act in a gay bar. Always fun any day of the week!!!
i'm honestly surprised this bar has 3.5 stars! i've been a few times and have always had an absolutely wonderful time here. came out last night and the vibes were just WONDERFUL. awesome drag performances, the gogo boys were divine, bartenders super friendly, and the crowd was SO friendly. love this spot :)
The first gay bar I’d ever been to. I was 16 with a paper bracelet my friend’s cousin had passed back to me. That was 18 years ago, and I don’t say this to disparage the bar. It was literally the first time I was ever able to be myself. It might sound silly with the underwear parties or whatever, but I consider this place holy ground. My own personal stonewall.
Most fun I have in all the gay bar/club in nyc. No jokes, shout out to the queens performing on Saturday night( bootsie/dd/ruby). Funny, energetic and professional. Also the dj was doing a wonderful job. Shots are generous and wifi without password. Bar area and dance floor are both clean and well planned. Mixed crowd and people are all having fun. Definitely recommend to come around 11pm.
Best drag show I’ve been to. Went Monday night for the Drag Wars show (starts at 11pm). The Hostess is a freakin’ riot. She made me laugh all night and that isn’t easy. I went during world pride month and yes she made us laugh but she stopped and talking about the important of Stonewall which is huge. Many people, including LGBTQ+ don’t know its history or importance. She taught the children than night, including a close straight friend I brought with me for his first show. It’s small, intimate, inclusive, safe, and fun. 10/10 recommend.
We had a fantastic time on New Year’s Eve. The bartender was friendly and made us some delicious cocktails.
Liam Hames Daniel’s is the above bartender and person you will ever meet. Everyone should be so lucky to have such a gem like them on their staff. He is the only reason I can to the village
I came into a dance floor, and it inspired me to dance. I thought the service was amazing and accommodating. And then the drag queen who performed made me laugh. Liam and Ruby made me so happy.
This is the bar to go if you're looking for a down to earth place to hang out. The beverages are well priced and the show was worth it. When you arrive seek out Christian, he's top notch. Not only was he professional, he also was attentive while delivering the quality of service you expect from a great bartender. His friendly smile was welcoming and he made my group of friends feel at home. I highly recommend you check this place out next time you're seeking a place to enjoy your night out!
Took the wife and super conservative sister to see a drag show and we had the best time ever! We laughed, danced and smiled the whole time. Such friendly staff and performers. I'm straight and loved the experience. That was my first time in a gay bar. Highly recommend it!
Missing Jason so much. He was such a staple! Very very hard to replace him. Jameson is the guy who keeps my friends and I coming! Shout out to Greg for always making me feel at home ❤️❤️❤️
Pieces is an iconic staple of Christopher Street! Cozy yet comforting, the decor is always above and beyond for each holiday or season. The staff is also so welcoming! I cannot overstate how kind Liam and Ruby are. They know how to make a drink ;) I love Sunday bingo with Chaka Khanvict. She’s so funny and the team behind the bar along with her good humor work so well together. Couldn’t recommend enough!
I was in this bar on the last day of pride month 2023. I love this bar no matter what. But tonight was different. The young person who was the waiter in the bar tonight was kind and attentive. I am disabled and he made sure I was ok and had my ginger ale drinks. So sweet. Also the entertainment was wonderful. I don’t know the red heads name from drag race but thank you for recognizing an ally. I’m here for it…❤️❤️
Pieces is by far my favorite local in the city! I’m a local and when I tell you… it’s rare I don’t choose pieces for a night out. Come for the show, stay for the boys! Saturdays are by far the best happy hour drag show in all of New York. They have the best staff, amazing DJ’s and their shows are unbeatable! Do not miss this west village gem.
This place never disappoints. Super fun atmosphere, really good mixed drinks. Hot staff that's actually friendly. We've brought people here a few times that weren't from NYC and it's always been a great night.
Ever since moving to New York, Pieces has been such a safe haven & constant for me to go to. I have made genuine friends & connections with the workers there, Matty, Christian & Ant. The shows there are always a spectacle that you would NOT want to miss, along with celebrity sightings. 10/10 would recommend.
I cannot say enough good things about Pieces! This place is a true treasure and has become my go-to spot in the city. The whole staff is super welcoming, friendly, and attentive, but I must say Anthony is an absolute gem! I seriously never fail to have an amazing night here!
Pieces is the BEST gay bar in the Village! The bartenders are always amazing! Happy hour has great drink specials and awesome music, and a KILLER drag show on Saturdays! My go to local!
Just as most places can feel electric with music, under the right circumstances, almost anywhere can end up fun when the stars align. But identifying an awesome NYC Institution like Pieces Bar, in Manhattan with explicit dance music, fun, entertainment and the bartenders (Liam) are very generous with drinks, is just awesome... Must see institution in NYC!!!!!!!
I had such a great experience the other night. It was a busy Halloween night, and the bartenders were so on it, in terms of service. I didn’t have to wait long at all for drinks all night. Anthony was so nice, and I will definitely be coming back!
PLACE THIS IN YOUR BUCKET LIST! Pieces is a must-go-to bar whether you’re visiting or a local. All the vibes in this place! Gorgeous bartenders that will put a smile on your face filled with vibrancy paired with show stopping Queens all around - the talent & entertainment is unmatched! My absolute favorite nights to go is when startender Anthony is there (I’m not sure if there is more than one Anthony, but either way - go when Anthony is there! Sweetheart is an understatement!) …Great drinks and music.
This bar. Period. It’s so much fun! Drag queens are fun, but bartenders are better! CHRISTIAN is the mostly friendly (and sexy) bartender there is. There is no way you can’t have a good time when you come to 8 Christopher Street!
I am so impressed by the drag show here. the queens really have such a nice stage and they put their all into the shows. it's a fantastic time. I highly recommend!
I have been coming to “Pieces” at 8 Christopher Street, Manhattan for a number of years. I especially love this gay bar because of its pleasant atmosphere with super efficient and friendly bartenders Jason and Jamison. I usually go there early and find the clientele relaxed, comfortable and enjoying their cocktails. I see myself frequenting Pieces for years to come. I highly recommend stopping by to give it a try.
Piece waste a true vibe Aaron was amazing so friendly and personable will definitely be the reason I come back!
I really love this place- it's a classic. This bar has enough personality for the whole west village. The decor is simple and relatively dark. They have a bunch of events from Karaoke to Drag nights so there typically is something to do beyond just drinking, but even if you want to, the drinks are reasonably priced and boozy enough. The energy they use is 100% wind. You've got to love it! Hope to come back when Adele and Jennifer Lawrence come back :)
100% recommend. My favourite gay bar in nyc. The drag queens are amazing, the staff is always very friendly. I left my coat here and they kept it safe for me. Leaving an extra extra big tip next time I’m in. Thank you so much!!!
How does this place only have a 3.8? Wednesday nights are the best with Busted, she’s the best! Hilarious, tragic the best!
At 62, the last time I was here was about 25 years ago. I brought my husband and friends from Florida last night. Surrounded mostly by guys half or one third my age, I thoroughly enjoyed the vide. From the drag queens to the gogo boys to the music to the bartenders. I left with a great feeling. A whole younger generation having fun and enjoying themselves! As for the ridiculous one star reviews on Google, mostly over the drink prices, these dummies need to realize they had no cover charge. In addition to paying the performers, bartenders, and dj, there is rent, insurance, utilities, etc.-----which must number stifling figures in nyc. I'm surprised the drink prices aren't higher. I would definitely return to Pieces. It's just pure fun, whether you eat and drink or not! The energy there was indescribable. Vibrant, an overall feeling of community spirit. Keep up the good work, management and talent!
So much fun. Pride week and the drag show was full of laughs and great performances. Greg behind the bar is quite handsome and attentive.
We are visiting from Canada and explored five different bars in search of drag performances. While many venues had pop-up shows, this particular bar featured a spectacular performance that lasted well beyond midnight. The queens were incredibly talented, friendly, and entertaining. They even hosted a drag roulette segment, allowing the audience to choose songs for the performers to lip sync to. The bartenders were exceptional too! This venue truly goes above and beyond. It is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring NYC's LGBTQ+ village.
I had a really great time at Pieces. It was a lot of fun! The atmosphere was buzzing with energy, and Liam, the bartender, played a big part in making the experience unforgettable. Not only is he a really great bartender, but he's also a genuinely nice guy. He made sure everyone at the bar felt welcome and taken care of. I'll definitely be back for more good times at Pieces!
My husband and I LOVE going here for a drink and the best bartender ever, JOHN! he really does make the best drinks to where’s it’s just the right amount of flavor and balance. Not to mention he’s super kind and funny! The atmosphere is welcoming and it literally has us there majority of our Friday nights. It’s a nice space, fantastic drinks, and you feel safe
What a great experience! John, the best bartender ever, was so much fun and a great person! Loved the drag show with Yuhua, so much fun!!!!
A friendly neighborhood bar. Hasn’t changed in 20 years, but very relaxed and laid back, at least for an early afternoon visit when I went
My favorite drag queens I see here are Essence and Lexington Banks for Caramel Kissed on Sundays and Beaujangles, Mo’Riah, and Janelle No. 5 on Mondays at Queen4Qieen and the iconic Shequida Hall for Drag Wars!
Pieces is hands down my favorite bar in NYC. There’s something for everyone here - drag shows, dance parties, bingo, watch parties, you name it! What makes it so special though is the team of staff and drag queens. From the manager, Ruby Roo, who is always so helpful in welcoming my friends and family visiting from out of town, to the excellent bar staff and servers, and finally, the amazing lineup of queens - especially Chaka Khanvict, who hosts bingo on Sundays. This was the first place to make me feel at home after moving to NYC and I look forward to every return visit!
I’ve been coming to Pieces for years and pretty much every Sunday for bingo since around 2019. The bar manager, Ruby, has always made it super welcoming and is helpful whenever I have a larger group, or family in town who want to join. There are countless bars in NYC, but I’m consistently drawn to this one because the bartenders are always kind and friendly so they make it feel like a fun spot to unwind after work, when I’m celebrating something, or just want to be in a Queer space. The heart of any bar is the staff and it’s a tricky thing to navigate keeping that same fun and welcoming spirit Pieces has over the years. Ruby’s been at the center of it since I’ve been going and is why I keep coming back. It’s been the same consistent place I can rely on to have a great time, and it starts from the top with management and trickles down to the patrons. I also look forward to the Halloween and especially the Christmas decorations every year! It makes it feel like the holidays whenever I walk in and holiday lights are shining. So thank you Ruby for helping keep Pieces a “home away from home” for me and my friends, helping with hiring a consistently great staff, and making Sunday Bingo the thing I look forward to most on my weekends!
I’ve been going to Pieces multiple times a week for 2-3 years now. All of the various bar staff, DJs, and drag queens are a delightful energy to be around and chat with. Drink service is typically prompt and you always get your money’s worth with those pours 🥂 Whether you’re looking for a place with quality shows or just looking to chill out with friends (maybe even make some new ones!), Pieces is definitely a great place to check out. Highly recommend 💜 If you swing by, make sure to say hi 👋 to the manager, Ruby! I almost always find myself chatting with them at some point during a visit 😊
Pieces is truly one of my favorite places in NYC, and a huge part of that is thanks to Ruby, the absolute star of a manager who makes this bar feel like home the second you walk in. The vibe is always electric — fun, welcoming, and full of life. The staff is incredible, the drinks always hit, and the drag shows are unmatched. Every night feels like a celebration, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. It’s the perfect spot for dancing, laughing, and soaking up that good happy hour energy. If you’re looking for a place that makes you feel alive, this is it. Ruby and the whole Pieces team make magic happen here. Highly recommend!
Had the best time on a Thursday night visiting town…went back Friday! Jasmine Rice was a great hostess. Good vibes and great shows!
Pieces Bar in NYC is an absolute blast and a must-visit for a fun night out. The drag performances are top-notch, full of energy, humor, and talent that keep the crowd entertained all night. The bartenders are friendly, the drinks are strong, and the vibe is inclusive and welcoming. It’s always a memorable experience!
This is my favorite bar to watch amazing drag shows! I think they have the best drag shows and performers in NYC. I also love that the shows would have dance breaks in between and turns into a dance floor after the show. It is packed on the weekends but bcoz it is the best that’s why. ☺️ Alot of performers here from RPDR
I love coming here for the drag show entertainment, especially on Mondays. The hosts are very funny and put on an excrement show. This is just a small sample of one of the many shows I’ve been to here. The crowd is always great with a lot of energy. Friendly security staff and amazing bartenders that prepare strong drinks. Everything is top notch. I believe on Thursdays they do live drag where they sing live, that’s awesome too. Mondays is drag wars which is so much fun to watch especially with Shiquida hall as the host.
Pieces is a historic gay bar in the heart of the west village. It's a chill experience with cool bartenders and culturally relevant music during the day. They have fun weekly shows during the night that change. It gets crowded on the weekend and has a special Sunday program worth checking out. Highly recommended for a night out in the city!
Pieces is a great gay bar in the West Village. The bar is tucked away and a little hard to find. I actually found that refreshing seeing that most bars in the city stick out like sore thumbs when nestled in quaint neighborhoods like that. Karaoke is a blast too! Pieces is totally open to anything, so don't be afraid to let lose and have fun!
Pieces is a super fun bar in the West Village, but this place can get PACKED, and with the space being so damn small getting around is next to impossible. Woe to anyone trying to get into the girls' bathroom; the line is so long that I'm happy I'm a guy!
Fun gay bar in NY. It’s a smaller bar that packs a fun crowd. They had drag events most nights in the back. Bartenders are friendly. It does get busy. It would be nice if they cleared out tables and chairs during busier times to allow for more room.
Cool bar we looked up while visiting. It was pretty dead when we showed up, but seems like it could be a lot of fun. The bartender, Nick R, was super friendly to us tourists and made recommendations for our next stop.
It's a good place. The bartender John is a great bartender
I had a great time coming here on a Thursday night. It's a small bar and we were packed in, but it was a great time. Great show. They are requiring proof of vaccinations to get into the bar so keep that in mind! I had my physical vaccination card and my friends showed mobile records from their healthcare providers, they accepted both. Just be prepared! One star off because the prices are high, but it is New York so no big surprise. Def not worth 0 stars on prices alone as the other reviewers are doing.
A bar that at first glance, doesn't seem like much. However a combination of regulars and newbies makes for a great crowd to its many drag shows. Pieces hosts a good variety of events and a fairly diverse crowd as well. Despite how small the space is I feel it's sectioned off well and the culture there is generous enough to always give you space to get to the bathroom. Overall, a good spot to visit a little ways a way from Stonewall.
$24 before tops for 2 bud lights is a bit much, next time will check for deals. Love the Xmas decorations!!
This place is a blast! It’s fabulously decorated, with upbeat staff, a lively crowd, and super fun shows. Ruby Roo was behind the bar, and I don’t think I’ve had that much fun on a Tuesday night in ages. I even came back another night just to catch the show again. Definitely a really fun spot to be!
Pieces is not my favorite gay bar in the West Village. It has a dance area that is not very large, and an even smaller area to just stand and chat by the bar. If you want to dance then you will probably have a good time.
An old stalwart that's still good for a good drag show and a few strong drinks. They also make good hiring decisions on bartenders. Most of them are social, fun, and will earnestly chat you up if you're there for happy hour or early days.
The place is amazing, everyone is friendly...Except for the drinks...you don't taste the alcohol..They come in this little plastic cups full of juice.. I spend 110$ on 5 drinks?? Common on now,,,,That's too much. I am not sure if tip was included but I will come in tipsy next time, tipsy enough to buy one drink. The Queens were amazing though...I loved Xunami
Shows are great and drags are (often) awesome. However, prices are really too expensive that’s crazy. There is no menu so I don’t know if there is anything cheaper but everything I tried ruined me (beer, wine, cocktails) Add the tips to the drags and this always makes a costly evening. Music is great to dance once the show is over. Update: I paid $9 my beer (half pint) before tips
Gets crowded later Fridays and weekends. Did happy two for one go away?
Enjoyed this place in the past but was really turned off by the racists drag show tonight. With everything going on today, the MC/headliner’s should not be making such disgusting and offensive Mexican jokes. any excuse to claim that it’s just comedy is BS. You are not a comedian with a scripted show, you’re putting on a drag show ...[insert sassy joke here].
12 dollars for a bottle of bloody Modelo is a joke. Never going back. Staff is friendly.
We have always loved pieces, fun atmosphere and great service. But the inflation prices are really hitting this bar. A surfside was $16 and that somehow doesnt feel right. Order a beer or a well drink when you are here.
Be aware as a foreigner!. I ask for a jus dorange and they charge 4 dollar for the drink, I paid with 20 dollar and the guy walked away with my money and it took a while when he came back with the change, he give me just back 1 dollar, so I said that I paid 20 dollar but he insisted that ir was just 5 dollar. Next time in a bar ,just say to the bartender the value of the bill when you handed de bill over, it prevent them to insist that it's not the value you handed over. It happened twice this trip in 2 different bars. Be aware!!. The guy that did this was a tall black guy, and the time and date was Thursday 13 november at 1825 hours. I asked around after the first scam and I heard that this is pretty common in new York to scam foreigners,to make some extra money. The reason is probably that a lot waiters and barman are pretty underpaid and life in the city is extremely expensive. But it's still bad behavior. I did this proof as an experiment to see if it's really true, and I found out that the guy that told me about this scam has right that this is pretty common.
The bartender on July 28,2019... white and black striped Adidas pants and a black tank top... was HORRENDOUS. I can hire ANYONE in my business to pour a drink which is ALL he actually did. When I go to a bar,I expect the bartender to remember me at the bar and at LEAST my drink... he didn’t give a care in the World. He seemed bored and bothered when you wanted anything. If you want a gay clientele to be interested, at least have a bartender that can at LEAST talk to the guys at the bar, but he was more worried about his phone and social life than anything happening at the bar.
The mishandling of my friend’s card situation during his trip was utterly unprofessional and inconsiderate. Blaming him for their own mistake was unacceptable and added unnecessary stress to his journey. Avoid this place if you want to have your card in the end of the night.
Must have been here over a dozen times through the last several years, both during and post-college. Generally a great, friendly vibe, until my experience this Tuesday with a close friend. Having spent 2+ hours at the bar enjoying our time and drinks, and undeniably being the quietest people during our stay there, it confused the ***k out of us when the bartender offered us a last round for free before literally berating and screaming at us, saying that he never wanted to see us inside his bar again. Uncalled for! My friend and I have BOTH have experience bartending in NYC - we knew that this sort of customer treatment was unacceptable, and the bartender's lack of even attempting to justify this treatment spoke for itself. Out of respect we kept our mouths shut until the new bartender came a while later, and both decided to tip HIM what the bartender WOULD have received had he not basically treated us like animals. I think it's safe to say that this bar has lost these two customers - for life.
Not a safe place for LGBTQ BIPOC people. Security guard should be fired. He harassed us and the people we brought into their dead bar THREE TIMES! Seriously was so aggressive for no reason. I regret spending any money here. We will never be back.
I wanted to like this place, but totally not cool for a $108 bill to pop up after two drinks. Charging $8 each for “pizza” bc of the minimum food requirement (that you don’t actually get or want lol) and $26 for a rail vodka soda in a red solo cup is not cool I thought the bill was mixed up with someone else’s. Did not enjoy that price gouging. Just wanted to pop in for a casual drink but somehow ended up with a $100 tab... very very lame
First thing, bartender… I Was at the bar and he was cleaning up all the time. Actually took my drink away a twice, when I was done… I told him the first time nicely ohhh you took my drink away… I was not done with that, and he made another drink, second time, I told him you took again my drink, he wasn’t. I mean your the only bartender around. Who else would do it ? And he said “I don’t care”…. Of course that guy doesn’t care… because I’m the one who paying for drinks unfinished. Yesterday also a problem with the promoter My table was the first one at entrance to the show area. He was blocking. So when I tried to get in by there, he said go the other way, I told him you’re jocking this is my table, and in a rude way he said “I’m not jocking, I’m the promotor and you have to go the other way” I saw that guy doing the same thing to other people who were there… So what they think? They can talk as they want to customers? Guys don’t spend your money here…
My friend and I got kicked out of the bar on Halloween night by a totally rude blonde waiter. I ordered two beers and my credit card was not returned with the bill. When I warned him, he just walked away saying I had knocked it to the ground. We searched the whole place and suddenly the card appeared in his hand. Then he handed it to me in a completely rude way and called security to take us out of the place.
Nov 22. Travelled the world. Love visiting new cities & local night life. Absolutely terrible experience. Unfortunately my first visit coincided with the worst drag act I’ve ever seen. Payed 10$ for 1 Bottle of beer. Stayed less than 5 minutes, Couldn’t wait to leave.
Nice bar, a little overpriced but nothing crazy, entertaining drag shows, but on Halloween night the bouncer refused to give me back my DL or let me in because he doesn’t know the difference between a real and fake ID. After trying to get my license back and him refusing I was forced to call the police, and my night was ruined as I had to wait an hour for the police to arrive just so I could get my license returned to me. Don’t think I’ll be coming back after that experience, such a shame to see a decent bar ruined because of an incompetent bouncer.
I was kicked out of the bar on Halloween by a blonde waiter. The reason: I ordered two beers and didn't get my credit card back. When asking about the card, the waiter said it was on the floor. I looked three times, getting down on the ground, and couldn't find it. After that, the waiter left the bar and “suddenly” the card was in his hand. With that, he felt it was right to kick us out of the bar. TOTAL XENOPHOBIA!
The drag queens here are incredibly talented and I was always a fan of Pieces until last night when one of my friends was rudely verbally assaulted by Lucas the bartender. There was an extremely drunk / half-unconscious woman at the bar last night who was accompanied only by a strange man who wouldn’t explain to anyone how he knew her. She lost her phone and couldn’t tell anyone what her phone number or address was so a number of femme and non-binary people there, including my friends and I, were concerned for her safety and tried to help her. Lucas came outside to defend this man and to call us “bullies” for trying to help the woman out, and then referred to my friend as a “bitch” and a “straight white girl” when she is actually a Black lesbian and formerly a Pieces regular. I will not be returning anytime soon.
Watch out for Coco, the dancer. Tried to rip me off. Didnt stop the private dance at the 4 minute mark like they are SUPPOSED TO and then tried to charge me $80 instead of $20. I ended up having to break even at $40. Its frustrating to because I just wanted to be an honest and generous customer and I end up being taken advantage of. I had a great night until that point. Completely soured my night.
Terrible. The wait staff is absolutely the most rude ever. Bar apparently has a 2 drink minimum and it's not posted anywhere in the back part of the bar where we were. I ordered one drink then he comes back with the drink and informs me it's a two drink minimum. This is by design because the bar knows most people just wouldn't order anything if they knew that in advance. The bartender Steven was incredibly rude to my female friend. He threatened to keep her card if she didn't order a second drink. In which case she had to remind him it was illegal to do such a thing. In addition, the crowd at the bar was well beyond what the fire marshal would ever allow or consider to be safe. Shame on this establishment and their employees for being rude and for their unethical practices. Formal complaints are next on my list.
I used to go to this bar frequently because it was just a few blocks from my house. Until one night, they charged me over $130 for 5 drinks. I also stopped going because of a couple of disrespectful waiters who would serve in bad shape and treat their customers rudely. I definitely don’t recommend it. There are more interesting and cheaper bars just a few blocks away from this one.
Bar tender charges $11 for a bottle of Corona. To the owner and manager. You think people are that desperate for a bottle of beer. You are a disgrace to allow this. Shame on you and that you get shut down soon for price fixing. #newyork attorneys general for allow this. Unless you are a big tipper and a regular here. Don’t go. The staff and owners don’t deserve the support. Straight off the bat $11 for a bottle of Corona.
Over priced drinks. $10 for a domestic beer. head to other local watering holes for better. Went for a drag show with some friends. AMAZING performances. I hope they pay their staff. the prices charged for the beer was ridiculous. So sorry to say no tip, save my money for the performers.Otherwise I had a great time
Went on Monday night at 8 - it was not crowded. I was completely ignored by the bartenders while standing there at an empty spot at the bar with cash in my hand. They served the group of guys next to me and then went to the other side of the bar to chat with friends. Other bartenders continued to pass through the bar and looked at me without saying a word. I left because I couldn't get a drink or cash to tip the drag artists. Really a bummer since I came from out of state with a plan to see both drag shows that night.
Terrible bartender, I ask for 2 aperol spritzes, paid and left tips; I took a sip, and it was basically soda, I asked him politely if he could put more Aperl and he said I had to pay more, I explained to him that the drink doesn't taste right and he rudely said "it's this is how I do it, if you want more aperol you have to pay more” … I'm speechless!
I’m giving this spot a one, only because I can’t give it a 0. Just because I disagreed with how management handled a situation I am now banned for A YEAR from entering other establishments with the same security. Not only that, but the bartender proceeded to GASLIGHT me by saying I did not put my card down for a round of drinks. After 10 mins of saying they did not have my card - leading to someone else putting their card down - they magically found my card. Clearly the bartender was DRUNK and should not have been working at that time. Crazy how a VERBAL disagreement and a DRUNK bartender with too much power leads to a YEAR long ban due to “VIOLENCE” - not only in NYC but outside of it too, NATIONWIDE. I’ll save you time, don’t go here.
Picture it - you’re a young black man who enters a gay bar where you once worked - the bartender named Ruby looks through you, then walks to the other end of the bar - when he returns you greet him and you order a basic two-ingredient drink - Ruby decides to ignore your order and instead takes an order from others who have just joined the bar - when after several minutes he remembers you exist and reluctantly makes eye contact, he tells his coworker to make you a drink. You leave never to return again.
Uhm, you had straight latinos to dance and they were like "UGH do I really have to do this 😭" they can't even dance they're like forced to do this. There were even no woman, it was weird. If it's no/gay, I'm out. My 40 bucks flew away for nothing. If you're not rich and don't need boys to lap dance on you, and looking for a real interaction, this is not the place honey. Worst sunday.
