50 嵐 in NYC..! One of the most popular milk tea chains in Taiwan. We had normal milk tea, brown sugar and caramel milk tea… all were great choices. Worth a visit!
Refreshing bubble tea at FIFTYLAN! They serve unique golden bubbles, which are smaller and chewier. Hard to say if I prefer them to traditional pearls, but regardless, they are very good!
Everything was great. Drinks were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, not too sweet. Quality is consistent, service is fast, and the menu has lots of good options. Always a reliable spot when I’m craving a good drink. Definitely recommend and will be back again.
We ordered chocolate and caramel boba tea and both of them were absolutely delicious. The amount of boba was generous which I really liked
Used to go to 50 Lan in Taiwan so the price in NYC is shocking but the product is legit and delicious!!! Not busy on a gray Saturday afternoon and there’s a long seating area on the side of the shop. Make sure you ask to adjust the sweetness and ice level, and if you don’t have a loyalty card, it’s worth getting! 10 drinks get one free 😁 *they have about 4 hot drinks too.
Its near union square, tiny shop on the right while walking towards 17th street. It is something different than the regular bubble tea, these are golden bubbles and it turned out they taste really good. They are a bit hard but thats fine, the most famous is golden bubble tea, tried it and liked it. I recently tried hazelnut bubble tea with coconut jelly and honestly i liked it more. The service is really good and there is also seating area available.
Extremely delicious! I got the Jasmine Green Tea with Golden Boba Pearls (all-natural cane sugar tapioca). Very refreshing! And the optional $5 cup-carry bag is cute, and fits most cups and thermuses! The staff is very friendly, with fast and efficient service. One of the best new Boba Spots in town! Perfect place for spilling tea with the girls, but don't spill the boba! It's delicious! 💜
not my first rodeo but i’ll leave everything i recommend ordering from here/koi: golden bubble milk tea, ALL macchiatos, pistachio milk tea, green tea, black tea
A tiny bubble/boba tea store, with a giant bubble tea cup statue in front of the store. The interior is minimalistic and pretty. They have a variety of drinks from green tea, milk tea to slush. No other type of foods are served. The ordering is typical like other bubble tea stores, you pick the drink type, size, bubbles, sugar and ice level. Drinks are made within decent wait time. They use the golden boba, and put a lot of it. I almost got tired of chewing so many boba in my large Mango green tea, but it was refreshing on a hot summer NYC day.
I ordered the black tea latte which is called 紅茶拿鐵 in mandarin. It tastes really good and same as the one I usually got in Taiwan! But for Taiwanese, make sure you take the half sugar when you order it! I usually take less sugar in Taiwan but it will be better if you take half sugar here. Which means you have to believe the recommendation from worker.😂
The 5 stars is for my drink. My peach green tea with 100% sugar was very good. Wasn't too sweet either. Prices are in the higher end. I would give customer service 3 stars. The young spanish guy with the long puffy hair spoke so low it was hard to understand anything. He definitely could have been more welcoming.
Came across this cute pizza shop as I was walking back to my hotel. Pizzas are more Italian style (not your typical new york style) and individual size. Fresh, made to order, great portion for self and so delicious (reminded me of pizza I've had in Naples, Italy). The staff was incredibly warm and friendly, they offered me delicious tomato soup while I waited for my pies to be made. Thank you for the great service and food!
Simply the best! My wife and I stopped by while touring the area. We ordered 2 pies, margherita and wild mushroom to go. They came in personal size which was perfect for us. The quality of their pizza was unbelievable. So delicious. Also the owners take pride on their products. He presented the pies to customers before the final wrap and would not allow any unsatisfied outcome. We will be coming back for sure.
Pizzazz in Union Square East is an absolute gem! Their freshly made polenta, whether you choose the cheese or meatball option is an incredibly comforting and delicious breakfast or a warm dish. The coffee is strong (as it should be), and the freshly squeezed orange juice is the perfect size without going overboard on sugar. The day I visited, they had Panna Cotta, a velvety smooth custard pudding that paired perfectly with an afternoon coffee. Never had such a yummy dessert in the Union Square area And the pizza…it’s an experience you have to try for yourself. Made fresh to order…no reheating sitting around slices. Just honest, high quality food crafted with care. Can’t say enough! Highly recommend this lovely place!!
The best pizza made by the best people. I’m not even the biggest fan of pizza but this one was truly spectacular. The pizza was made fresh out of the oven, the dough was chewy, and the ingredients were fresh. Above all else, the team behind Pizzazz is simply the most warm and lovely people in the business (who also happen to own the best coffee shop in Queens). ❤️
Was headed down to a different pizza place and decided to stop in. It was full and as soon as we opened the door, the atmosphere was great. The man who took our order was awesome and super friendly. He gave us recommendations and we said we only stopped because it had 5 star reviews. It was amazing and the best was the spicy one. Freshly made and delicious. Not a slice, but a personal pie and was delicious. Want to try the coffee place in Astoria now. ❤️
Some of the most authentic Neapolitan-style pizza I've ever had outside of Italy! The crust is thin but flavorful. The toppings are fresh. And the service is quick. There is no seating inside, but Union Square is right outside which makes it easy to grab your pizza (or sandwich) for an outdoor meal. We only had the pizza (Prosciutto di Parma), but would definitely try the sandwiches which looked just as delicious. We also tried their Chai Panna Cotta. Just as delicious with a hint of spice. We will be coming back!
The pizza is SO good here, highly recommend trying it! I love this style of fresh made pizza, it’s very much like the pizza I had in Italy, which is a nice change up from our standard nyc slice. I grabbed a pie then took it over to eat in Union Sq Park across the street. Pics from two different visits, every time I’ve been there SUPER tasty. Last time I was there they had a Chai-Latte flan type of dessert, it was so good like a creamy espresso flan (I’m not sure what it’s called but it was delicious!)
Pizzazz is a little cute pizza shop with a lovely staff and high quality food! Mushroom pizza was tasty and rich in flavor and prosciutto pizza was also delicious with freshly made tomato sauce! I will come back to try their spicy salami one. Definitely I could taste that the ingredients are top quality! And please get yourself some COCONUT donut!! They are sooo good!
The pizza here was really good! 🍕 The staff was friendly, and I loved how they make the pizza fresh right in front of you that was really cool to see. The dough was thick and had a great texture, the pepperoni had a nice flavor, and the tomato sauce tied everything together perfectly. It was a very satisfying meal, especially for the price. The pizza came out just right—not too hot, not too cold and the portion (a small pizza pie) was filling enough. The shop itself doesn’t have much space for dining in, so it’s more of a spot to grab your pizza to go or eat quickly, but the food definitely makes up for that. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely come back!
This is probably one of the best pizza shops I’ve ever eaten at. They made us custom garlic bread. And the decorations and the wall paintings really bring the place to life and don’t even get me started on the food. spectacular pizza!!!! It’s like a dance party in my mouth with all these flavors.
INCREDIBLE pizzas! We were looking for a quick lunch, stumbled upon this place which promised a fast pizza in under 5 min. It was super fast, and omg so delicious. The crust is insanely good. Chewy, pillowy, just the perfect texture. We had the sweet and spicy salami, and the mushroom pizzas. Both had amazing flavors. I know it’s hard to have bad pizza in NY, but this place immediately goes to our top 10 favorite pizza list. 100/10!!!!
Best pizza I've ever had! Everything works perfectly together and has been mastered to make the best pizza! And the owner is so sweet and makes you feel right at home in his restaurant. Definitely will be back! *There is only 2 small standing tables to eat at so just be weary of that @_eateryexplorer_
Absolutely delicious!!! This isn’t your average pizza. It’s elevated pizza. We were on the hunt for good pizza, and this place did not disappoint. It was amazing to watch them make each pizza individually. What an experience! We ordered a Margherita and a mushroom pizza, and both were glorious. The flavor in every bite was incredible. The dough was airy, light, and packed with that perfect garlic touch, seriously, so good. It’s a small shop, so I recommend ordering online and enjoying it on the go. Oh, don't forget to take some deserts. Highly recommend!
Fifty Lan is my favorite bubble tea in Taiwan, I ordered a Golden Oolong Tea with boba. Golden Oolong Tea is tasty, and boba too. I gave it 4 stars because of the boba. The boba size should be large size of boba, not medium size. Very pity After more than two years, I finally got to enjoy 50 Lan again! This time, I skipped the milk tea and went for just the tea 🍵. Thanks to a Thanksgiving promotion, I got a free topping of pearls with my large drink—such a small joy! The Golden Oolong was as reliable as ever, with a rich aroma and a subtle aftertaste that really deserves to be savored. ✨ As for the pearls, there’s still a bit of disappointment. The texture didn’t quite match the chewy, QQ experience of Taiwan’s boba. Next time, I’ll probably just stick to the tea for a more satisfying experience!
Decent bubble tea, although i ordered 25% sugar and it tasted more like 75% imo. I didn't mind, but in a city like NY this ain't gonna cut it. Doesn't make my top 5 bubble tea list
I wanted to give a 5 star because it’s my favorite boba place in NYC as it’s my favorite brand and milk tea flavor in Taiwan and in mainland China (under another name). The golden bubble milk tea is my favorite and the only drink I order for 98% of the time (because I’m a bubble tea lover and not so much keen on other kinds of drinks) but I can’t give it a 5 star because the bubbles are totally different than the ones in Taiwan and mainland China (they have big bubbles and mini bubbles for you to choose, you can choose either one or both of them together in one single drink and they are free as toppings), but this store here only has medium-size golden bubbles and they are relatively hard to chew. I sometimes only wanna have big chewy bubbles and sometimes only wanna have mini bubbles, and sometimes wish to have them together. (I might be a little picky and specific at one thing sometimes, but I think I can give some opinions as a bubble tea lover since I’ve tried countless bubble tea shops all the way from 10+ years ago. ) The golden bubbles might be the only thing I don’t like in this store, but this only thing is one of the most important factors when I decide which store I buy bubble tea from. The golden bubbles as the only option for bubbles are awkwardly in the middle for the size in my opinion. They are also hard and firm to chew, which I don’t like very much. Although the flavor of the milk tea is absolutely my favorite and is the same as the flavor back home (and is the reason I still come here very often), sometimes I have to choose other bubble tea shops because they have either bigger and softer (but still chewy at the same time) bubbles or they offer the option of the mini bubbles! This is a thing that I feel pity and sad about and is preventing me from fully enjoy the bubble milk tea. If they can offer the same bubbles as the ones in Taiwan and mainland China, then it would complete my wish and satisfaction! It would then truly feel like home!! The difference in the bubbles is the only but very important aspect for me (and maybe for a lot of other customers as well) when choosing a place for bubble tea. I asked one of the staff before if they were gonna have bigger and smaller bubbles as the way in Taiwan, their response was kinda vague and said they will see how the market is and decide later. I’m not sure if they have made a decision yet or had enough observation and analysis from customers. But if they are gonna have the new bubble options as I wished, I’m sure it will MAKE MY DAY and I’ll come more often instead of switching to other boba places for boba variations. P.S. I’ve included a photo of the fiftylan bubble teas I bought in Taiwan for anyone who don’t know what I’m talking about. The left one only has mini bubbles and the right one has both big bubbles and mini bubbles. I still wanna give you guys a thumbs up because I think you are still doing a great job and maintaining great qualities of your products and the cleanliness of both of your stores in NY!
This is actually a 3.5 star review rounded up to 4. The milk tea is decent. It has tea flavor. However what they're known for is their golden boba but their boba is so hard that it is difficult to finish the drink. It seems like it isn't fully cooked because you can see the starch on the inside of the golden boba and it is more translucent on the outside of the boba. If this is their recipe, then they should let corporate know that that is not a good recipe. The boba tastes way too hard! Not tasty at all! It's also bland. They might need to change the receipe to soak it in honey or something if the name is golden boba. I definitely would not get the milk tea with the golden boba. I hope they do something about their boba so that it can be better so they can continue to stay in business because I support small businesses especially if it's something they can fix.
Cool looking spot, pretty solid tea but not the best boba in the city. I got the brown sugar boba tea and compared to other spots which only sell brown sugar milk, here you can get the brown sugar tea. However, the boba was hard almost pebble like. There are better places in the city…
Waited about 15 mins to get my order. Average bubble tea place. Mango green tea macchiato is good. Dense sweet foam that is not cheesy and tea is quite refreshing. Might revisit to try their milk tea and bubbles.
I tried their signature Golden Bubble Milk Tea and a Bubble Ice Cream Milk Tea. No big difference between two, just one added an ice cream at the BOTTOM! ( I thought it will be an ice cream topping) Well, adding the ice cream just made the milk tea sweeter but nothing much special. The golden bubble pearl taste good and chewy, I really like it. But the milk tea is just ok. I probably won’t come and buy the second time since there are lots of bubble tea choice in New York and this brand didn’t impressed me a lot.
This place is nothing mind blowing like the rest of the reviews are making it out to be. The pizza was about 30% crust, which was disappointing. The undercarriage was wet and floppy, making it hard to eat. The flavors were good, but I’ve had much better pizza elsewhere in the city. The entire pie was about the size of two average slices, but cost me $16. Should have been closer to $10. The place is also tiny and has virtually no seating aside from two 6 inch pull out tables. Positives: the staff were friendly and the service was quick. Don’t particularly recommend this place, though.
Came here with 2 people, got 3 drinks. All of them tasted watered down and just bland. Also, this is a personal preference, but eating konjac jelly in diluted lychee yakult makes me feel like i’m a sad child in england eating jellied eels. For good boba, go to literally any other place in the area.
-absolute worst bubble tea I have ever encountered.. I got the oolong tea with bubbles. tea tasted like water on water in water with watered water 🙂 the bubbles were fine but they didn’t have much flavor either. I got 25% sugar because usually it’s too sweet, but apparently this place uses sugar to pretend like there’s flavor.. nice workers tho 😇 but not paying $7 for this sorry -interior nice and clean, just wish the trash cans were on the floor and not on the counter
