Five Guys in Times Square delivers big flavor! The burgers are juicy, customizable, and always fresh. Fries are crispy with just the right amount of salt. Service is quick, and the vibe is upbeat despite the busy location. A solid spot for a satisfying bite in the heart of NYC. Never disappoints!
I miss this place here in Brazil. The burger and fries were wonderful!! I can’t wait to go back.
I’ve had Five Guys in other cities and at various locations in NYC, but perhaps it was because we were so hungry after walking almost 10 miles that day, but this was hands down the best Five Guys burger I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, the fries were a bit over-salted. The gentleman at the door (security) was incredibly friendly to my entire family. He noticed that the table needed to be cleaned after the previous party left, and without being asked, he actually cleaned it for us. It obviously wasn’t part of his job, but his actions spoke volumes about his character. He saw that I was with kids and noticed the peanut shells on the table, and without hesitation, he made sure it was clean for us.
Big shot out to this five guys, not only is it open at crazy hours of the night to feed your drunk need for warm and delicious burgers, the employees are amazingly nice (and keep in mind that they were serving us at 3am!) and the quality of five guys is still there. So happy I got to stop here and eat a late night burger with shake and fries during my trip.
Amazing food, totally worth its price. I think I 've never eaten better potatoes!
Second time we visit and it’s amazing, super tasty food, all fresh. The sizes are more than fine, and the taste of everything is excellent. The staff is nice and the place is clean. The delivery is quite fast I recommend I will definitely miss this place!
I was very impressed with the service here. My friend mentioned she had allergies to milk and eggs and they took special care to ensure there would be no cross contamination. They prepared a lettuce wrap that she loved.
So delicious, great burgers, fries to die for, and shakes are amazing😋
My daughters and I had dinner here and our food was excellent. The customer service was amazing! James and his brother made our experience a great one and we hope to be back and see them again! Great food, great prices, awesome location, it was clean, and we were provided with outstanding customer service!
2nd time to visit. Brought here by a friends visiting from Manila last year. How they found this place likely by word of mouth. Came back because the food was awesome. Very unique, tasty and eclectic. Place is cozy, clean and the staff very friendly. Its a hidden gem, hole in the wall and budget friendly!! Cocktails and desserts are modern and delicious.
If you’re looking for a sensational and unique Thai restaurant, where your palate will “ thank you”, you have to make a reservation at BKK New York on West 56th Street. We’ve eaten in many Thai restaurants but none with a menu or dishes like we experienced in this fabulous restaurant. Our server, Prare was wonderful. She helped explain our options and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy our dinner before heading to the theater.
As a Thai customer, I was truly impressed. I ordered the crispy pork basil and garlic shrimp, and both dishes were exceptional—beautifully cooked, rich in aroma, and full of authentic Thai flavors. What really stood out was the ability to choose Thai-style spiciness that tastes exactly like food back home, not toned down or adjusted for tourists. The quality of ingredients and balance of flavors show real attention to detail. Another big plus is that the staff can speak Thai, which made the experience feel warm, comfortable, and genuinely Thai—even in New York. The only small drawback was the lack of Wi-Fi, but with food this good, it hardly mattered. Overall, an excellent dining experience and one of the best places for refined, authentic Thai cuisine in NYC.
One word - Delish! Came highly recommended from a friend and so glad we tried it out. Ambience had a cool vibe to it. I picked the sang neon for cocktails and loved the unique colors and taste. For appetizer, we went with the shrimp donut and it was mouth watering. Mains we shared the pad Thai (the best I’ve had in a while) and the goong curry - so flavorful, just wished it had a little more of the curry portion to it.
Midtown, You’ve Been Holding Out on Us We stumbled into BKK last night for a pre-concert dinner before seeing the Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Carnegie Hall. Total last-minute booking because our original plans fell through and thank god they did, because this ended up being one of the most unexpectedly excellent Thai meals we’ve had in the city. This stretch of 56th Street is usually a culinary dead zone, the kind of place you go for proximity, not pleasure, so finding something this good felt like cheating the system. The décor was surprisingly polished, almost transporting. It reminded us of the kind of sleek, design-forward restaurants you’d see in Bangkok where every detail, down to the plates and glassware, feels intentional. We started with their signature shrimp donuts, and honestly, whoever came up with these deserves a raise. Fried appetizers tend to live and die by oil temperature and salt, but these were next-level: crisp, caramel-tinged crust, almost like a hint of molasses, and somehow still light. Don’t sleep on them. The papaya salad with jumbo shrimp was bright and refreshing though I did ask for ‘Thai spicy’ and clearly got the “he’s can’t be serious, don’t hurt him” version. Next time I’ll insist. For my main, I ordered the half roasted chicken, which was impressively tender, both white and dark meat perfectly done, no dryness in sight. It came with these small pickles that were so well balanced I could’ve eaten them as a side dish on their own. The sticky rice it came with was also a nice touch just what you want to chase every bite with. My husband had the Pad See Ew with chicken and made a point to also say how juicy the chicken was which, let’s be real, almost never happens with chicken breast. His only critique: could’ve used a little more wok hei, that smoky char you want from a good stir-fry, but otherwise it hit all the right notes. Dessert time: the Thai Iced Tea Panna Cotta was an absolute standout rich, aromatic, and not cloyingly sweet. Whoever decided to make Thai tea into a panna cotta deserves applause. The coconut ice cream with shaved salted egg on top was clever and generous in portion. The coconut flavor could’ve been stronger, but as someone who also loves plain vanilla, I didn’t mind at all. Cocktails? Also excellent. I had the Sticky Situation (Earl Grey, citrus, something else I can’t remember but it worked). My husband had another equally creative one — strong, balanced, and beautifully presented. All in all, BKK feels like the rare Midtown Thai restaurant that isn’t just going through the motions. It’s thoughtful, delicious, and clearly run by people who care about flavor and design in equal measure. I just hope they don’t water things down over time to cater to diners whose idea of Thai food stops at pad thai and spring rolls. We’ll definitely be back preferably before another concert, but honestly, this place is reason enough for a special trip on its own.
An impressive dining experience at BKK New York! The restaurant perfectly balances authentic Thai flavors with creative presentation while preserving the essence of true Thai cuisine. Each dish reflects both tradition and innovation. A must-visit for anyone exploring New York City — ideally after an evening at Broadway, as the location is conveniently nearby.
The food here is absolutely incredible! We came all the way from Thailand, and surprisingly, the Thai dishes here exceeded all our expectations. Even in Thailand, it would be hard to find Thai food of this quality and refinement. Every dish was perfectly balanced — authentic yet elevated to another level. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience. The food, the staff, the vibe — everything was just wow. Easily a 10/10 dining experience. Highly recommended!
I had a blast at BKK! Authentic Thai and creative cocktails. My first time trying a crab with minced pork Thai dish in a hot stone bowl. Love this “Crust Issue” cocktail - cream cheese and scotch based. Also, gregarious team :) love all these amazing people - Tan, Cholly, Prare, Simon, Ryan, Jay, Pete, Gideon, Joseph. Can’t miss this spot when you’re in Hell’s Kitchen!
We had an incredible experience at BKK! The menu had Bangkok-to-NYC dishes that are a New York vibe on Thai staples. We tried a couple of those: the everything bagel spring rolls and the brisket dip…both very good. We also had the Pak Mor (shiitake dumplings) and Larb Pla (branzino) which were both absolutely delicious. Our server, Prayer, was attentive and knowledgeable and such a sweetheart. We highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go again!
Loved the electric, modern vibe at BKK. The cocktails are genuinely creative and a highlight. I found their take on Thai street food inventive and deliciou. The flavors really pop. It’s a fantastic, stylish spot for a fun night out, especially before a show or without the show. A personal go-to for sure
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere! We were pleasantly surprised by the seared tofu (great flavor), massaman curry (so tender), and the drinks. I can definitely see this becoming a neighborhood gem soon, highly recommend to go with a few people to share. Also shoutout to our server Jayjay who gave great recommendations and was so enthusiastic!
Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant that expertly blends American and Thai cuisines. The mixed cultural menu offers creative fusion dishes that successfully combine flavors from both traditions. Our waiter provided excellent service with detailed explanations of each menu item, helping us understand the ingredients and preparation methods. This level of attentiveness made the ordering process both informative and enjoyable. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance - well-lit enough to appreciate the food presentation while maintaining intimate mood lighting that created a pleasant, relaxed environment for conversation. The beef brisket noodle dish we ordered was expertly prepared with tender meat, flavorful sauce, and fresh accompaniments including what appeared to be pickled vegetables that added a nice acidic contrast. The restaurant clearly pays attention to both food quality and dining ambiance. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for creative Thai-American fusion cuisine in a comfortable setting. Will return to explore more of their menu offerings.
30AUG.2025 This was my first time eating here. My friend(has eaten he a couple times), me, an both of our young adult children came here for lunch. This is a beautiful gem in NYC and the Thai street grub is delicious and customer service is excellent and so welcoming. Tan made our families afternoon(well earned tip)..he was super friendly and wonderful sense of humor. The presentation of our individual plates and explanation of what ingredients were in all of our cocktails was superb. I loved my Pad Thai Shrimp and the Prosecco Rosé. The entire experience was an amazing first time for me and I’m looking forward to returning and trying more dishes.
Thank you for staying open so late to feed us intoxicated fools! ATMOSPHERE: If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Big dining area, all you can eat roasted peanuts, messy by closing time. FOOD: Cheeseburger With everything! That includes mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup & mustard. The patty was tender & juicy and has a real homemade taste to it. Fries They're thicker cut shoestrings natural fries, served hot and crispy. SERVICE: Fast and efficient. OVERALL: Pricey ala carte menu with great taste.
+ Get $25 off using the link on my profile! The food was pretty good! We didn’t get the restaurant week menu but it would’ve been more worth the value since we paid around the same with 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and 1 cocktail. The pork ribs were a little sweet so I wouldn’t get that again, but the tom yum fish soup was clear and perfect for the cold weather. I also liked the flavorful wings that tasted like guilty pleasure. The prices are pretty high for what you get, though, so I would try to go with a discount or for the restaurant week menu.
I came here on a cold Thursday evening in mid January for dinner with two others. We specifically booked this restaurant because I think Asian cuisine is the best to have when dining in Midtown and we were seeing a show around the corner. We made the reservation a few weeks in advance; however, that didn’t seem necessary as the restaurant had available seating. With offerings like an Everything Spring Roll and Shrimp Donut, I thought the menu was pretty different from other Thai places I’ve been. The food was fresh and good. Everyone who worked at the restaurant was lovely and the food came at a reasonable pace. We had two drinks per person, two appetizers, two entrees, and two sides between the three of us. We spent about $100 per person including tip. I would recommend this restaurant and I would come back.
Met some friends here for a casual Friday night catch-up last month. Had a good time. First off, I must say the restaurant is very cute. The lighting is sexy and the decor is thoughtful. I particularly like the white signs on the wall. Food wise... as the table was half vegetarian, we ordered all the vegetarian dishes: Mushroom Garlic Rice, Everything Spring rolls, Falafel Bowl, Pumpkin Curry, BKK fries. Fries were a mix of potato and chive sticks; delicious. The everything bagel seasoning on the spring rolls were a nice touch. Pumpkin curry was also very good. The falafel bowl was a cool concept, but the balls were hardly falafel in texture or taste. I do think the drinks need a bit of fine tuning. I appreciate the creative beverages, however I don't think any of us liked ours. My "Sticky Situation" didn't taste like anything. Overall, we had a great time and the service was excellent, so I'll be back.
Cannot take away from the food as it’s always great and top notch!! But I feel this location don’t have enough staff and during this season should have at least 15 guys working the kitchen. When customers leave they must have a dedicated person cleaning tables to maintain the global standard as in Dubai it’s 5 starts for sure
We came to the place following a recommendation and we can say that we were disappointed. However, the gaps we experienced can be easily fixed. We did not experience the service as required, we even felt disrespected as a customer, we each received a paper bag with the food and into it as if they had intentionally thrown the chips and it was not because there was no room in the chip cup, it was ugly, again it can be fixed, you just need to guide and explain. The area behind the counter where the employees were was dirty and a shame. The smoothie was delicious and the vegetarian dish too, I wish you luck and I would be happy to come back
I had three cheeseburgers to go and carried all the way to jersey. When I opened sandwiches ,they forgot to put patties in one of them and only put the toppings in it . It was a busy time for dinner but after paying a full price, I was unhappy ㅜㅜㅜ wish they pay more attention when they make burgers.
They never get a chance to clean the grill . So you be the judge? I definitely don’t recommend this one location .
A complete misunderstanding. I don't understand how this chain can stay in business. The burgers are tasteless, the chips are useless. My son took us there because he wanted to visit an American chain he knows from games. The atmosphere is like a slaughterhouse. I admire the absolutely friendly staff who have to work there. Respect, gentlemen.
We visited this Five Guys location in New York, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. While we are familiar with the brand and usually enjoy the food, this time it was only average and did not meet our expectations. What really ruined the experience, however, was the service. The employee at the register was extremely rude and ironic, clearly in a hurry, and offered no help at all with our order. On top of that, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very poor, as the space felt dirty and unkempt. Overall, despite the fact that Five Guys is generally a reliable fast-food chain, this particular location failed in terms of service and cleanliness, and it is not a place we would choose to visit again.
Stopped by the Five Guys at 253 West 42nd Street near Times Square for a quick evening snack. As vegetarians, our options were limited, so we ordered a large Cajun fries and a soda, accompanied by the complimentary peanuts. While the food and service at the counter met our expectations, our experience was marred by an unsettling interaction. As we were finishing our meal, a cleaning staff member approached our table and, without any prior conversation, asked, “Are you Indian?” We responded affirmatively, and he walked away without further explanation. This unsolicited question felt intrusive and left us uncomfortable, especially given the lack of context or follow-up. In a city as diverse as New York, such interactions can be disconcerting. It’s unfortunate that this incident overshadowed our visit. We hope the management addresses such concerns to ensure a more welcoming environment for all patrons.
This place is aweful. There was a staff member vaping right at the door so you had to walk through a cloud of smoke to get in. Secondly, it was dirty, filthy, smelly, just dreadful. Order two burgers, fries and a drink. We couldn't get near the pick up due to delivery drivers. They had bags on the rebacks and helmets on and blocked everyone. They just moved people to get to area. Eventually people like ourselves realised we were being called. When we found a table, it hadn't been cleaned in at least an hour or more. Two other reciepts and food was still on it. It would of been better to eat the food of the ground outside, than eat it at the table. It was uncomfortable to eat here. The staff were working non stop but cleaning is obviously not high priority on the managers list. The amount of people and very little space. Burger was bland, lacking proper flavour. Honest, I wouldn't go near any five Guys after seeing the state of this place.
Threw up the food after 30 mins. The top bun is cold bottom bun wet and doesn’t hold up, really bad fries no peanuts on there. This is Times Square by the way, if people think this food is good they are straight up delusional.
This was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Five Guys. I was excited to come to the Five Guys in Times Square last Wednesday night November 12th because it was my first time visiting NYC and I’d heard so much about this location. Unfortunately, the manager could not have been more unprofessional if she tried. I don’t know her name but she was kind of slim light skinned and prettyish. Her attitude was nasty, and she acted like helping a customer was the biggest inconvenience in the world. My food took forever..way longer than it should have. Five Guys needs to seriously reevaluate who they put in charge, because her attitude is definitely driving customers away.
