They excel in cooking, creating comfort, and serving with attention. I enjoyed the dishes and appreciated the waiters. An employee began with the customary welcome and asked if we were ready to order. i want to give more stars than the system allows. I plan to sample a different dish when I return.
⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely incredible halal street food! If you’re in New York and craving authentic, flavorful halal food, The Cashbah Food Halal Cart is an absolute must-visit. I’ve tried many halal carts in the city, but this one stands out for its quality, variety, and exceptional taste. Everything here is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection — from the juicy grilled chicken to the tender beef and deliciously spiced fish. But if I had to recommend just one thing, do not miss the Moroccan beef kofta. It’s rich, aromatic, and packed with flavor — a perfect blend of North African spices and grilled goodness. Every bite tastes like something straight out of a Marrakech street market. The portions are generous, the service is fast and friendly, and the prices are very fair for what you get. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or looking for a late-night bite, this place delivers every time. Trust me — once you try it, you’ll keep coming back. Easily one of the best halal food experiences in NYC! 🌯🔥🥇
Flavorful, savory food at such a fair price. The gyro meat was uniquely cubed and tasty. The chicken was moist. The rice was fragrant. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The sauces were perfect additions. Staff is friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Perfect to grab and enjoy at Central Park
Was craving for halal food and this cart did not disappoint! Location: It is located West 66th St. It’s a food cart so you just order and go, you can eat at the small park behind it. Service: the staff were nice, they accept APPLE PAY! FOOD: they have a bunch of choices but I picked ROYAL COMBO: it is consist mixed of chicken and lamb with falafel and rice! The chicken was tender and flavorful. The lamb was okay. The rice was cooked well and the white sauce was the bomb! It comes with 2 falafel and it was good cause it’s crispy! Price rating: 5/10. $10 for ginormous food! I can’t finish it. I will visit it again if I’m craving for halal food!
Great halal truck! Got the beef kofta which was very flavorful and delicious. My fiance got the combo which had 3 types of meats and was also very good. I appreciated that the food wasn't too greasy and the salad was super fresh! The cucumber had such a nice bite to it. There were also chickpeas in the salad! It's the little details that really tell the story of how good a place is and this truck is great! They take card :)
I had an amazing experience at The Casbah - Halal Cart, one of the best Halal carts in NY. The food was very tasty, fresh and satisfying. I ordered a lamb over rice with salad and white sauce, and it was one of the best meals I ever had. The lamb was juicy and tender, the rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the sauce was creamy and spicy. The salad was crisp and refreshing, and it balanced the richness of the meat and rice. The portion size was excellent, and the price was very fair. I got a lot of food for a reasonable amount of money. The service was fast and friendly, and they gave me extra sauce and napkins. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Halal food or wants to try something new and delicious.
Do you want to eat LOCAL LOCAL LOCAL?!?!! EAT HERE! A true hidden gem in the upper west side. This is the kind of local cuisine I’d expect to find in Queens. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by a food cart steps away from Central Park and the Lincoln Center. You get enough food for two and just for $10. I can’t recommend this place enough. Forget spending $100 a plate in midtown. Go here, walk to Central Park, and eat like a local!
Outrageously delicious, large portions (more protein and less rice), low prices ($6-8) and ample outdoor seating 20 feet away, making it my top choice for a food truck. Must try and very strongly recommend. We got the Royal combo and the Moroccan kofta and both were exceptional. The royal combo had chicken, lamb and falafel (ample amounts of all three for the size) and with the white and red sauce, it had great flavor and tasted amazing. The Moroccan kofta was our favorite as the flavor and texture of the chopped beef was the best beef we ever had.
Pretty Good FAST Street Food Truck Here In NYC. I was road tripping in the USA and passed by NYC. While searching on google some of the best carts. This popped up. First One is “Chicken Over Rice” So it’s pretty good. Rice was good. The chicken was good, and its not like shawarma; shredded but instead its cubed. Second thing is lamb over rice Rice same thing; good. Lamb is into cubes and the lamb is pretty good. This one had Hot sauce which added another flavour All in all, Nothing here is outstanding but its pretty good for some fast street food.
Was just passing by and my daughter was craving for halal food. Guys serving were really nice, but I was really disappointed with the food.plate was half empty, note that the rice was underneath.
This one is not as good as Casbah Halal 2. The meat was flavorful but dry and the rice doesn't have the same fluffy feeling as well. This one is more cost effective but portions are smaller and foot doesn't hit the spot the same way. I'd say your better off spending a few more and going to the other location in the UWS (the larger truck)
