Solid college bar right near campus, excellent craft beer selection. I got a BLT, which had a surprising pesto layer to it! The bacon held its own. Fun vibe, great for post-classes drinks.
The brand new Raclette burger was amazing. Bacon jam is nice and spicy. We came here with 5 kids and spilled two glasses of water on the table and the host staff was excellent about it all. Small lunch crowd and wonderful food. A must stop if you're in the area.
Half Pint is hands down our go-to spot for a laid-back dinner and drinks. This place is buzzing with energy, and the food never disappoints. With plenty of TVs for sports enthusiasts and its proximity to NYU, you can expect a vibrant college crowd. Now, let's talk about the steak salad, which is an absolute standout and our absolute favorite on the menu. We simply can't resist ordering it every time we visit. One of the reasons we keep coming back to Half Pint is their fantastic rotating draught beer selection. They always have something new and exciting on tap, which keeps us intrigued. During our last visit, we savored a chilled glass of chardonnay and indulged in the delightful Sloop Jaegermeister beer. I tell you, that Sloop beer is a gem that I'll definitely be revisiting before it disappears from the rotating taps. If you happen to find yourself in the Soho/Village/Washington Park area of NYC, we highly recommend giving Half Pint a try. Trust
Spacious pub with a very impressive selection on draft! I'm always excited to see them add beers to their rotation from some of my favorite NYC breweries and they always keep the menu interesting by changing up their draft selection every week or two. Definitely be sure to order some of their Sweet n Spicy Wings...they are absolute fire! Honestly, I'd consider it to be a wasted visit without ordering those babies. The Half Pint is definitely worth a visit for any beer (or wings) lover!
Yooo I love this spot but I’m wondering why the playlist is trash
We had stopped here for a few drinks but wow the food was so good. The loaded nachos are really loaded, and the smoked pork shoulder tacos were amazing. Nice server. Will definitely come back.
Hosted an event here last week for a group of 15 and it was fantastic! The service was great and we loved the ambiance of the space. Drinks and food were both delicious. Will definitely be booking more events here in the future!
Had a great time with family at The half Pint during our New York visit to a concert to The Blue Note. The beer variety is excellent and the food is also very good with generous portions, though I was a bit taken back by the tab. That's on me though for not watching more closely. Service was also excellent.
My favorite time of year is winter to come here, warm and good beer! In summer, still good beer. Nice beer selection! Haven’t eaten here, but looks good
The Half Pint is one of the most welcoming and friendly bars I have ever been to in the city. They have a wide selection of beers on tap that are constantly changing so that you always have new options! Neil, Ashling, and Brian are some of the best bartenders I have ever met. When I walk into this establishment, I feel at home, with even the managers contributing to this feel. Run, don't walk, to try out this place!
Just had my engagement party there in the newly renovated bar space Ernie’s about two weeks ago on a Sunday and it was absolutely amazing. There was about 50 people. Vicky the manager made things so easy with the planning process and did an amazing job carrying out everything I asked for. The staff working the event were so nice and the bartenders were great and so friendly and the food platters were amazing. The new room was very intimate and also fun. Highly recommend for an event. They also let you decorate how you want and make you so comfortable. Everyone had a blast.thank you!!
Great atmosphere, good drinks, and overall pleasant experience!
Amazing staff (especially Irish woman!)! Great place to hang out and get a drink. Happy hour has great deals! 10/10 recommend!
This little place opposite the NYU Kimmel Center was just what my friends and I needed. The food was gourmet quality and the draft beer was good. Everyone loved it. Will go back. The wait staff was helpful and friendly. The food was reasonably priced without trying to overstuff you.
Had a couple of Happy Hour beers while I waited for my daughter to get out of class at NYU. Had to order though an app, and $6 per bottle of Ultra isn't my idea of a Happy Hour price, but it was nice to just sit outside and chill.
Grabbed drinks with a friend at the bar the other week to catch up. Service was quick, cocktails were well-made, price was fair. Haven’t felt this well taken-care-of at a bar in NYC post-pandemic in a while.
Best espresso martini I've ever had! The servers are very friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere inside and plenty of outdoor seating options. Delicious nachos. Will definitely be back!
One of the best beer lists in the city! Service was slow, but the beer was some of the widest ranging drafts, with a few that are always hard to find anywhere. We did not eat the food, but it looked like typical pub fare. The atmosphere is first class, with a few seats at the bar. Try for a corner table to people watch the street. Called in for drinks while walking through. Staff friendly. Great selection of drinks. Clean and tidy. Great spot. Thanks all👍
I had a holiday event here for my job. Vicky (GM) is absolutely amazing. She made it very smooth and was considerate of all of our needs. I've never experienced anything as easy as Vicky made it. Also, prices were bar none for the number of individuals we had at the event (53). The food was great. The staff was quick and friendly. They have one of the largest drink selections. Overall, this was positive experience and will be booking more events in the future.
I wanted to see the Bama game and the ad didn't say anything about reserving a table,I hope there's a corner seat for me 😭 Rolllllll Tiiidddeeee!!!!! 🐘
Nice spot for a drink. My group and I didn't order any food.
A cozy haven in the village. Food is top notch, the beer selection is robust, and our server was attentive, friendly, and warm. She made it feel like I was dining at an old friend’s establishment. Wonderful time. 10/10 Update: found out our server’s name was Danae!
Love it! Very nice people and great drinks and the food is delicious
Fab brunch spot, delicious food, lovely friendly staff...Mell! And amazingly no line for a table! Will be back soon!
Just the perfect low key local, neighborhood spot, buzzing Kate but relatively calm early, and good for some fine brews on tap and tasty food, especially the nachos. And now they added some new breakfast items (Aug 2022) and the Eggs Benedict are some of the best in the city, equally or better than several of my favorite but fancier (snd pricier) spots.
Came in for a quick shot and drink. Marianne (name on the bill) had such great vibes, so generous with each person that came in. Good job half pint!
I found this spot for me and my friends to try brunch at. Its got a more rustic pub style to it. But of course, the most exciting piece was the mimosa tower which none of us had experienced before. It truly did keep the mimosas flowing throughout. I got the steak and egg tacos which were delicious! The only thing I’d improve is that when the tower is finished, it’s refilled just a tad quicker - we had to wait a bit for the second one. Would definitely come back again! Update: came back again this last weekend and we had a blast with a cranberry mimosa tower this time!! The chicken and waffles were delicious. Always good times here!
I got myself a really cute drink ☺️ the bartenders were great and the food were fantastic! Great vegan options to choose from. The pub was fall and Halloween themed! So fun! And there was trivia night going on tonight! (Double fun)! Had a great time with friends overall, definitely recommend as a week night chill spot.
I’ve been to Half Pint about 5 times already & I think a review is due. First, this place has endless deals like $6 aperol spritz and espresso martinis and fun events like trivia and football on Monday’s. I love it. Came here on various occasions and every time the service doesn’t disappoint. Food is absolutely delicious (the half pint burger is my favorite), and I love that it’s close to the NYU campus, as my friends and I always think of this place first to grab a bite after class! Looking forward to more visits & lastly, thank you to the hardworking staff, you guys are amazing!
Great place. Went for a private party. The bartenders were amazing and we loved the DJ. Tons of fun. Definitely worth a visit. It has a very warm vibe. The catered food was great and varied-- vegetarian and non. Having a private party has to be a breeze there with the professional staff. We arrived, they had the guest list and in seconds we were in our Nye party and out of the rain. There is one bathroom but the line moved quickly. You can fit easily 70 people in there. Wonderful service.
I have to give Half-Pint 5 stars. If I could give 20 stars I would do that to. The drinks are always amazing. The waitstaff was fantastic! When I go to Half-Pint I always get The Professor. It’s a meal with gravy over fries and cheese. It’s delicious. If you’re ever on West 3rd street you must stop by Half-Pint and get a few drinks!
Good local neighborhood pub, came here during a bar crawl. There are a few TVs (if I remember correctly). The place was packed (although it was Saturday and the day after St. Patrick's Day), and we had a large group (of 12) that they were willing to seat even though it had a good crowd in it; however, we were starting off a pub crawl. I will be back!
Given the location, very unpretentious and cozy. Good variety of beers on tap. They understand that having 24 beers on tap does not mean you shoumd have 20 IPA'S. The bar itself is a bit small (only 8 seats) so if you like sitting at the bar you may be out of luck. Recommend the place.
Make sure to double check the bill before you pay. I got charged the full price for happy hour drinks. Other than that the service was fine and the location was great, lots of outdoor seating.
Been here a few times. Food is decent. Hood selection of beer on tap. Wish the wait staff would pay more attention. Stood at the doorway to be seated and got stared at while I waited. Had food not touched for 15 minutes while waiter walked back and forth numerous times. I was clearly done. Maybe because I was alone my money isn’t good enough. Would give 3.5 actually. If I was waited on would have be a solid 4.
I came here with a friend on a late Friday night. We got a seat around the corner from the bar and had a nice time chilling and chatting. I ordered an Old Fashioned.
I came here for drinks 🍺 and an NYU trivia night. Had fun, good bar service. Would recommend for a night out in the city.
Good selection of craft beer and the Avocado salad I was was very good. The salad itself was $14 adding chicken was an additional charge I think $2 so it's on the expensive size for just a salad. The waitress was kind and provided great service overall this is a nice place that I would visit again. Salud!
The food leaves something to be desired. I ordered the sticky cauliflower wings and they had no flavor so I’m sitting there with a plate of cauliflower smelling like a fart during the playoffs lmaooooo —- The bar itself it’s chill and really nice! The bartenders were attentive. I’ll definitely be back.
Unexpectedly great turkey burger and a solid choice of local beers. Sat outside for a bit which was absolutely lovely but eventually had to move inside because the AC units above were dripping (which is totally not their fault, just unfortunate!). All of the staff I interacted with were incredibly nice. I'll come back anytime I'm in the area needing a beer and grub and recommend to friends!
Loved this place for the atmosphere and drinks! They had delicious spiked warm drinks like spiked hot coco and spiked macchiatos. However my friends and I also went for the bottomless brunch deal and got the mimosa tower. There were only 3 of us, and we weren’t convinced on the potency of the drink. I would recommend this place for fun drinks, but definitely wouldn’t go back for bottomless. It’s not worth the price you pay for the amount of alc you actually get in the mimosa. The staff was also great and friendly!
Great spot for Alabama game parties, very festive environment. But why is it so loud?? Harmful for employees and visitors. I had to plug my ears with napkins to make it bearable
Went to Ernie’s for the Alabama Georgia game while we were visiting NYC. Great atmosphere for Alabama fans but very crowded. We could barely stand inside. They did have some tables outside with the football game on but they ended up closing that for some reason and they made everyone go inside. We stayed to watch the game for a while but ended up leaving to go get food and drinks somewhere else. If you are wanting to stay and watch the game I’d recommend getting a table reservation as soon as possible, that was where we went wrong.
5/27/23 back to hang out after working the day game, they won, walk-off. I had a couple of Mezcal Margaritas and they were really good. We split the pretzel bites (no more big pretzel) they were good and @ $17, they better be! 9/18/21 wandering around, stopped in for a beer. Flagship's Tunnels to Towers. Busy busy too... Cool place, great beer selection, service was good. The hot pretzel was really good and big too. I'll be back to try more beers and try more food. We sat outside with comfortable chairs but smallish shelf style table, but fine for beer and a snack.
I really appreciate how spacious this spot is! They have specials/events throughout the week, including a Wednesday wine bottle special that's a great price. To be honest, I disliked both cocktails I ordered but liked all the others that my friends got so that's probably on me 😅 Service was friendly and not overbearing. Will be coming back!
I think it’s a great spot for drinks, but the brunch food wasn’t the best.
I understand the difficulty of our times but I had to wait a while to be noticed and asked for my temperature to be taken after I sat down a while. They are probably understaffed and over crowded since indoor dining just opened but I wish I hadn't have to wait this long to get service. Not a fan of their turkey burger but the fries were good, so was the scottish ale!
It's a cool spot, dark (maybe a little too dark) and intimate inside, with friendly staff. My friends were happy with their drinks, but my burger was one of the worst I've ever had - honestly shocked. Dry to the point where I was dabbing it in ketchup for some moisture and flavor.
Food was average at best. Orders were incorrect, food was cold and flavorless. Waffles were burnt and soggy. Overall not great. I’ll give them a little grace because it was busy.
Only 3 stars because the house tequila for happy hour was horrible for $10. Clearly a $7 to $8 drink for that taste. I just drank it fast to finish so I could leave. The wings were good. Nice portion but just like any other bar wings.
Decent little place, was underwhelmed by their happy hour, which was why we went. They have some $6 pints during happy hour, but nothing else too crazy. No happy hour food either. We got the loaded nachos which were $15 and pretty good, but not worth that much. Go if you’re close by looking to kill time but not a must-go type of place.
Went for HH - the drinks were fine, but the food was mediocre at best. The tacos were a huge disappointment as they were extremely bland and tough to eat.
Decent enough bar. It was insanely loud for no reason, a bit over packed couldn’t see most of the tvs at a sports bar, staff were friendly and food was good.
Half Pint used to be our go-to spot in Greenwich Village — mainly for their unbeatable nachos and the perfect setup to watch football. Unfortunately, their recent menu revision has dropped the very item that made the place special. It’s a major miss from their culinary team. Until the nachos make a comeback, I’d suggest skipping Half Pint — it’s just not the same without them.
Excellent staff! Brunch was not great. The chicken on the chicken and waffle was just breast cutlets, probably frozen. One was tough, almost inedible. The California Eggs Benedict were meh. There may be better menu options or maybe it's just not a good brunch choice unless you want the 90 minute, unlimited drinks.
Went for Sunday brunch with a few friends. Everyone was disappointed with some aspect of the meal/experience. Mediocre food. Stay away from the home fries which don't have a good texture and are over-seasoned. Service was horrible. Table had to flag down staff for water refills about 6 times only to get refilled twice. Had to plead with them to take away several plates that were empty and taking up space on our table. Had to ask for check 5 times in order to pay and leave. All this and they had several empty tables so they weren't at capacity. Don't regret my time there, but probably won't be back.
I went to Half Pint during happy hour, every week or two, for almost a year (2024-2025). It appears that ownership has changed sometime around April 2025 so reviews from before then are probably not accurate anymore. The crowd around 4-6 pm is mostly groups of students coming in for the happy hour cocktails (espresso martinis or Aperol spritzes). It used to fit into the “slightly upscale university bar” vibe a little more prior to the change (ie. a place student go for drink specials but also professors for a cocktail). Now it seems to be rebranding as a sports bar with team flags hanging outside and games on the televisions/speakers. But it’s not entirely a sports bar with the expected drinks/bar food to match. The menu and drink changes don’t make sense. The new servers are inexperienced and awkward (some experienced ones are still there). The mixed drinks are inconsistent (sometimes undrinkable) and the beer list on the website didn’t match what they actually serve (as of late May 2025). The landing page has a quote saying “serious beer bar” but they might have 2-3 beers that are outside the normal NY beers you get everywhere (Goose Island, Brooklyn, etc.) The server had to keep checking if certain beers were in stock. The food options are not great and don’t fit the new (or old) vibe. Cashew Brussel sprouts, barbacoa tacos, and Bavarian pretzel bites ($14 for a couple pretzel bites and a small dipping sauce)??? What is the theme here? One dish from each country a student might come from? At the outside seating, the silverware kept falling through the slatted table, likely because the plates were tiny and the silverware was handle-heavy. Unless you’re coming specifically for the two happy hour cocktails they serve, there are other places in the area that excel at having a vibe/menu/drinks that will fit together into a more pleasant experience.
Has a lot of potential but the service was non helpful and the music did not match the vibe at all. Felt like whoever’s in charge doesn’t seem to care about the patrons.
Overpriced This bar encapsulates the decline of both New York and modern society. Surfaces are grubby and several chairs for paying customers are broken. It looks a lot like a Wetherspoons in the UK or a sad decrepit bar you might find lurking in an abandoned corner of Atlanta. But don’t let that appearance fool you. Nope, it is still $15 for a cocktail here and $10 for a pint. Ridiculous, especially from a clearly less than $10 per drink establishment. Unsurprisingly, this led us to curb our tip. Luckily for staff, however, a table of Equinox members were on hand who always ensure they tip 25% - EVEN if they have to wait 20 minutes to be served and had a less than agreeable time
Had the worst experience here. Security who is probably under 5’5 and whose beard didn’t connect (for context) pushed every one of my female friends out of the bar area and called us F words (it is pride). Then he continued to punch my female friend in her face. Glad I am not filing a police report. This is truly unacceptable. This is a hate crime. I am so upset. Taking my friend to emergency care as I speak.
I wrote a review almost ten years ago which was 5 stars. Well a lot has changed. My wife and I showed up for our reservation and was told we had 30 min to eat and leave because they had an event. I asked why they didn’t tell us ahead of time and they had no answer. They just asked us to leave. The host specifically said the manager told him to tell all guests the same thing. Disappointing. I guess coming for 10 years doesn’t matter!
I came in for brunch with my family expecting a welcoming atmosphere and great service since there were almost no people there and plenty of space. Instead they did not greet us and hesitated to give us a table by telling us the reason for their rudeness was that we needed reservations. Great! Then proceeded to give us the smallest table for 2 for a party of 3 people. Awesome job to the hostess at this place and hope your business continues to boom.
Food is oily and disgusting! I got sick! Drinks were overpriced and can get better at Applebees. The manager/owner whatever she is, short round with an accent is rude and gross! Pretty sure she was drunk! Don’t come here! Came during the week for HH- never again. Staff could be better with greeting guests and cleaning up as well.
I would recommend choosing a different bar at night due to the disorganized and unfriendly staff. On one occasion, a staff member abruptly snatched a drink from my friend's hand under the mistaken belief that it had not been paid for. Despite their error, they offered no apology and demanded we go to the bar to make another payment. When I expressed how upsetting the situation was, I was met with an appalling response, presumably from their manager: "Good, be upset." This further demonstrated an unacceptable level of disdain for customer satisfaction.
Four of us wanted to eat there last night - Saturday 9:30 pm. Inside, the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk. Outside, there was plenty of room but the server said that all the outdoor tables would close at 9:45pm and we would have to move inside at that time. We ended up at another restaurant down the street where the outdoor dining stayed open later.
