Tip: Come before 5 PM to avoid the crowds, as the restaurant fills up quickly. The fried chicken is a must-try, but consider the wings over the boneless option.

Holy holy moly this was phenomenal. The service, the restaurant, the FOOD- everything was exceptional. We couldn’t choose so we shared (and couldn’t finish): bulgogi beef tacos, pork belly from the grill w grilled kimchee and rice, and wings (half original, half soy garlic). The tacos were fantastic. Really delicious and a huge portion. The chipotle Mayo they served with it was some of the best I’ve tasted. The pork belly was very good. Surprisingly not greasy like most places serve it. I’m glad I tried it and I REALLY enjoyed the grilled kimchee, but I’d be ok getting something else next time. To be fair, it was hard to compete with the other two dishes. If you’re looking for a simple meat+rice dish, get this. The chicken: amazing. The wings themselves were huge. It’s pricey for wings but at their size, it’s worth it. We preferred the soy garlic over the original, but both were still exceptional. My only minor criticism was that everything came out within a few minutes of each other, instead of how we ordered (tacos first, as an app). This is very minor and almost not worth mentioning. We cannot wait to go back. Holy cow it was just so good and fresh.
Everything was delicious! Loved the fried chicken! Kimchi quesadilla was great! Be careful with over ordering. Portion sizes are quite large.
Everything from the drinks to the entree was absolutely delicious! Starting off with the Mojitos which was very refreshing and then switched to the Korean Iced Tea which was satisfying. The Fried Beef Dumplings were crisp to perfection and the Shrimp Scallion Pancakes were flavorful with a delicious crunch. For the main course, the Bulgogi beef over Korean White Rice and the Marinated Short Ribs was amazing and blew my taste buds away! 10/10 Would recommend!
The Jin is fantastic. What started off as a quick bite to take colleagues to for lunch near the office has now turned into repeat work lunches and repeat personal dinners. The food is always delicious and the folks running the place are always happy to see you. I highly recommend the Jin, especially their short ribs, fried rice, chicken wings, and their corn cheese.
My friend and I went for dinner on Saturday and it was really busy. There was waiting but we were seated very quickly. The food was nice and the staff was very attentive and kind. The wings and marinated short ribs and thick cut pork belly were sooooo good. A must try!
Came here for the first time and I’m beyond impressed! The staff, especially, Yeshi, was incredibly attentive, and the food was outstanding. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it!
We ordered a variety of things! And everything we had was sooooo good! 5 stars for just the food. But the service was a cherry on top. Checking on us and making sure we are liking things and answering our questions about the food we were ordering. So great!!!! Also we sat in the nice little window/door seat which was so cute!
Nice place to try. During a holiday season some places are crowded and not even good but this place is far from tourist attraction, and food was good too, the guy served us was fast and great.
Went here for dinner before a concert at Terminal 5 and would definitely go back. Their service was very fast and the food was great. I got the Kimchi Fried Rice and would highly recommend. We made a reservation ahead of time and I’m glad we did - although it was pretty empty when we got there, it filled up fast and we would have had to wait for a table if we got there 15 minutes later.
Wow what a hidden gem!! Friendly staff who are always on the look out for an empty glass. Definitely a most go if you're looking for Korean place in hells kitchen. Things to try, the fried chicken, go for the half spicy half soy, the galbi with cheese corn, and the bulgogi with rice you won't be disappointed!
The Jin's known for its Korean foods & drinks & quick service to be served. Friendly, great ambiance, great hangout spot to hit whether you're with family, friends, couples, special occasions, and even alone to chill out in the vibe 🍺 Food Korean fried chicken🍗 is fantastic here at the Jin. Beside that there's top 3 item I recommend (All below are entree size): 》Cheese tteokbokki (rice cakes) 》Kimchi fried rice (seasoned very well) 》Pork belly ( Amazing, can taste the smoke right off the Grilll )
This is such a great place! Personal favorites are the Cheese Tteokbokki and Soy Garlic Korean Fried Chicken, absolutely to die for! The service was simply perfect. Everyone was so attentive and considerate. Very cozy and cool vibe to it. Next time I come to New York will visit again! See you soon The Jin!
Went to The Jin for lunch and was really impressed with their food and service! The portion and the price were also very reasonable for nyc. Both korean fried chicken (soy garlic & spicy) and short ribs with corn cheese were sooooo good! The fried chicken was full of flavor and crispy. The short ribs tasted just right and was tender. Would definitely go back!
Very tasty food and very reasonably priced. Ordered the soy garlic wings and grilled pork belly with kimchi. The wings were very crispy and flavorful, but not too overwhelming. Wings were a good size too, not those tiny pinky sized wings. The pork belly has a very nice charred and grilled flavor. The alcohol looked pretty expensive but I didn't drink. The staff was friendly and helpful too. No complaints
We've come to The Jin for lunch and brunch. This is a casual place with drinks. So far, I've tried the bulgoki, which was as amazing as the kimchi fried rice. The kimchi side was also very good. The spicy wings are a slow burn on the sweet tangy side. The wings come with a side salad and pickled radishes. I want crazy about the kimchi scallion pancake, which was a little dougy. I highly recommend the bulgoki, wings and fried rice. I'm looking forward to trying their burger on my next visit. Pictures below are of the wings and the kimchi fried rice.
The Jin has one of the best Korean foods I’ve ever had. The place is nice and cozy. My favorite was the marinated short ribs and the Korean fried chicken. The servers were so nice and attentive which made the dining experience so pleasant. I’d recommend to anyone that wants high quality Korean food.
A Hidden Gem on 10th Avenue! Jin Korean Restaurant is an absolute delight! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The menu is a treasure trove of authentic Korean dishes, each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I loved it!
I visited here because of a tiktok influencer on my lunch break and I did NOT regret it. I arrived early afternoon when it was pretty empty. The Waiter was courteous and respectful. All of the dishes were amazing! I’ve never had these traditional Korean dishes, but I’m certain this won’t be the last! I was going to opt out of dairy In my spicy rice cake, but I forgot. Good quality meal near Columbus circle. My bill came to about $35 for everything. Great lunch and dinner! I’ll be sure to try more things. Good quality kimchi too! The tteokbokki was the perfect level of spicy + a hint of sweetness in the sauce chewy rice cakes. I’m not sure why expected something similar to onigiri lol
This is my favorite Korean fried chicken place in NYC! The Jin is a wonderful restaurant with great consistent food and customer service every time I have dined in or gotten delivery from them. It has been a terrific place for affordable comfort food despite the crazy times we live in. It's one of the greatest hidden little gems in NYC that I'm glad to have stumbled upon!
THEY COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT I get take out from The Jin about once a month. I usually get the Cheesy Teokbokki w/ Chicken Katsu (pictured above). It’s a hefty portion size for $15. I usually make some rice at home and get 2-3 meals total out of it. I love spicy food and this always hits the spot for anyone who likes to sweat. It’s always ready in 15 mins or less. All around love this place. Highly rec.
I LOVE this place! The food is absolutely amazing (I’ve tried six of their dishes so far), the staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and the prices are more than fair. I found this place last month and I’ve been back several times since. They have the only japchae I like other than my mom’s but the kimchi quesadilla is still my personal favorite.
It's rare to come across a gem of a place where all the stars align and the food Gods smile on you. We had the Korean fried chicken half and half with spicy and sesame mix + the bulgogi beef with caremelized onions with a side of rice. As I said it all tasted incredible! The fried chicken was moist and not oily at all! They provide sides of kimchi and spicy sauce but you MUST ask for their pickled radishes. Having Korean fried chicken without pickled radish leaves the whole experience a bit incomplete... The staff was also super friendly with impeccable service. Hopefully we'll get a chance to eat here again!
March 2022. This is a small Korean restaurant. The menu is simple, with only a few small plates and larger dinners to choose from. We tried the boneless fried chicken and kimchi pancake, and I had the bulgogi beef fried rice. Everything was delicious. We especially like the fried chicken, which was crispy and juicy, with flavorful sauces. Expect to spend $20-30 per person. The only problem for us was the music was maybe 50% too loud and we couldn't hear the wait staff (or each other, for that matter).
Stumbled upon this new spot in the neighborhood and immediately agreed it is one of our new favorites. The food was so wonderful: simple yet delicious and interesting and wonderfully prepared. The portions we more than generous for the price point and the service was truly top notch. We had the rice bowls that were bangin’ and the wings were spot on (so I was told by my fiancé who devastated them!). This will be a frequent dinner spot for us. I just hope they hold us a table!
Went to the Jin for dinner. Place is nicely decorated. Waiters came to us right away and gave us a lot of attention the whole evening. Food menu is simple and very effective. Everything we ordered was really good. Fried chicken was delicious as well as the Bulgogi Taco. Definitely will come back again.
Food was affordable and good tasting! I ordered the chicken katsu ($17) and the kimchi fried rice ($15), both also came with a side salad which is a plus. The chicken katsu was very crunchy and the Kimchi fried rice was the perfect amount of spice, I maybe wish the egg would’ve been runnier. Other than that, a great place to get korean food in the upper west side ✨
The Jin is great! Came here with some friends on a Thursday night (no reservations required) and it was popping. The vibe of the place was great and love how it's decorated. The staff was friendly and showed us to our table. The restaurant was unique in that the menu is against the wall. The fried chicken is the thing to get here. It may be the crunchiest fried chicken I've ever had. Though I liked both, I definitely preferred the garlic soy. One thing I have to say is that these wings were MASSIVE. I shared a plate of 11 with someone else and even that was not enough for us to finish. But what I was most surprised by was how good the other dishes were as well. My friend got the kimchi fried rice and it was amazing. Will be back here to try the rest of the menu (will get the cheese ttoboki next time!)
Nice chill spot, amazing Korean fried chicken! Food: have come here twice for the soy garlic fried chicken (bone in). Delicious and some of the best I’ve had in Manhattan! They also have a spicy sauce which give a a nice sweet heat kick. Fried chicken comes with a small side of kimchi, radish, and extra sauce. Drinks: I’ve only had the IPA’s here - they’re good! Ambiance/Service: This spot is small and kind of narrow so it does fill up quickly, but definitely worthy it for the food. Service has always been prompt and servers are friendly.
Super cute restaurant! The staff is so friendly And customer service was top tier! The food was also fairly priced and very flavorful. I recommend the soy garlic Korean fried chicken. Definitely recommend this place!
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. The food was delectable, the restaurant had an unpretentious yet elevated atmosphere, and the service was truly excellent. I could not have asked for a better first meal in NYC Recommend: fried chicken wings with hot sauce and the pork belly
Food is solid here. Really like how fast the food came. Everything is made fresh and the fried chicken is super crispy on the outside the juicy on the inside. Cheese corn was very flavourful. The pancake was also very solid. Japchae was seasoned perfectly. Expect service to be a little slower because it is a mom and pop shop. It looks like there is one person cooking, one person taking the order, one person prepping other things and a busser. Be patient and they will get to you. Atmosphere is nice. Very casual place for authentic Korean food. Could be good for casual date night or friend gathering. Would come again.
Ordered Japchae and Fried Chicken, both are fresh and hot. Recommend japchae and do not recommend boneless fried chicken. It is chicken breast and dry, next time will try wings. Kimchi doesn’t have good crisp fresh texture and seem like factory made. Servers are great and atmosphere is also welcoming. Would recommend this place.
I had a wonderful experience at The Jin. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was amazing, and the fried chicken in the soy garlic sauce was the best fried chicken I've had in a long time. The portions were much larger than I anticipated, which for me was wonderful. I was able to take home left overs to have for dinner. I highly recommend this spot. It's a gem for sure!
Stopped by on a weekday afternoon while passing through the area. The weather was nice, so we grabbed a seat by the window. My friend and I ordered a beer and a glass of wine (I think there was only one white wine option, but it was dry and crisp—really enjoyed it). For food, we got 6-piece wings, fries, and corn cheese. The chicken came out hot and crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and both dipping sauces (soy and spicy) were just my style. The fries were perfectly cooked and went great with our drinks. The corn cheese was a bit bland on its own, but pairing it with the spicy sauce from the chicken made it just right. Overall, a great spot to relax and enjoy some drinks and snacks—I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the mood!
Food came out pretty quick. Beef bulgogi, grilled chicken and vegetables, fried chicken, beef dumplings. All excellent and fresh. My mom complimented the food probably 5 times (I’m lucky to get 1 out of her, typically). We came at ~4:50 on Saturday; empty. Within an hour it was completely filled. Prices were reasonable and service was good. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Insanely delicious casual food! My wife and I have a new favorite in Hells Kitchen, The Jin. This place has it all, insanely delicious food, hip, warm atmosphere and extremely polite service. About the food, first, it doesn’t matter if you love Korean food or not, the place is basically pub grub, Korean style. The beef Bulgogi taco is to die for. The marinated beef is tender and sweet and boy do they pack it full. So much meat. And the peppers and Parmesan cheese add just enough flavor to make it pop. The Jin has a full bar too with local and Korean brews. My wife and I loved our recent lunch at The Jin so much we just booked a table for twelve next week to entertain our friends after a piano recital!
A tiny spot but very lively with great service, delicious food, and comfortable vibes. A great location, right down the street from Terminal 5 where we had a concert to attend. The employees were very friendly and quick. The menu is not that large but everything looked delicious. We were feeling like having fried rice so the kimchi fried rice and the Jin fried rice were absolutely perfect. The egg on top made it even better. The prices are pretty good and the portions are well worth it. I will definitely be back! Now for my standard comments. Location is kept clean and seating is comfortable. The wall to wall windows open up when the weather is nice so you get some fresh air even when indoors.
Environment: 4, good for a sit-down chat with friends, though it was a bit cold since the front of the restaurant was open presumably because of COVID Service: 5, excellent, waiter was super friendly and non-imposing Food: 3, spicy chicken was too sour for our tastes and the soy garlic was more soy sauce with almost non-existent garlic flavor. Chicken Katsu was nice and crispy, tteokbeokki sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking. The rice cakes were perfectly chewy!
When presenting the CC terminal to the customer please don't tap the 20 tip amount for me then hover over me. You guarantee I'm going to lower the tip.
WOW! Just opened in my hood, ate here on the first day! Got a basic small order of wings to go and they were FANTASTIC! Crunchy, crispy, juicy tender meat, good sized wings. Split the sauces to try and they were both awesome! Friendly staff! Cozy atmosphere with a few big screens for games, and beer on tap! Great new addition to the neighborhood!
Casual and tasty Korean. Fried chicken was very popular. The bulgogi dishes are tasty and they've got soju un several flavors.
Had late lunch with my friend and we ordered marinated short rib, fried chicken, and fries. The food was decent, cocktail was ok, the atmosphere was calm and cozy but it was way too hot in the restaurant. I was sweating the whole time. The price for food was pretty affordable.
Don't come here hungry, not bad for small bites though. Service was great. The staff were attentive, friendly and courteous. The place is clean and relatively empty even on a Friday night. The food itself was only ok. For a korean establishment I was surprised they only gave picked radish as bon chon. I was disappointed you need to pay for kimchi but I'm comparing this place to ones in Flushing. The food was on the pricey side and their portions were much smaller then most places. Overall, the taste of the food was satisfactory and left you wanting more, but the portions left you needing more. Drinks are over-priced. If ur craving just a few pieces of korean wings after already having a hearty meal, check this place out, otherwise I'd say make ur way to k-town or flushing.
We arrived 40 minutes prior to closing and we were practically rushed to eat our meal and leave within that time frame. Establishments need to change their hours of operation if that’s the case. If you close at 10pm then close at 10pm not 30 or 45 minutes before. It’s just isn’t a good business practice. The food was tasty but wish we had more time to enjoy and consume the dishes we ordered. The Korean fried chicken is tasty. We are considering on returning on a later date.
Service was great! The food all came out pretty fast. We got kimchi fried rice, half & half chicken, and short ribs w corn cheese. The kimchi fried rice was good but the egg was really disappointed, it was fully cooked and not runny at all. Spicy fried chicken was too sour and the soy sauce chicken tasted kinda like tofu and I wasn't sure if I liked that. Short ribs and cheese corn are good but the amount of meat they give you isn't much. Overall I give this place a 5/10 for great service and good atmosphere, food wise I don't think I'll come back for it.
Did they change their chef? The food is completely different then before and not as good sadly. I used to come here at least once a month. The Japchae and Jin Fried Rice are much blander than before and have different ingredients in them (different vegetables). At least the friend chicken has stayed consistent and is just as good as before! I hope they revert some of their recipes to how they used to cook it because this spot used to be the best korean restaurant in the neighborhood.
The Jin was good. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was good, the host was nice. I ordered the Tteokbokki with the chicken Katsu, Korean rice, and corn cheese. the Tteokbokki with the chicken Katsu, The Tteokbokki was good and had a smoky flavor. I suggest dipping the chicken Katsu in the sauce otherwise the chicken is pretty dry and actually pretty tough. The chicken Katsu was the weakest point of the meal unfortunately considering I usually look forward and order Chicken Katsu. The corn cheese was good.
What a cute restaurant! I love the wide open overhead door with the street views. I was greeted with warm welcome and smile right as I walked in. I like the black color ceiling pain over the pipes. There are menus tapes on the wall at each table. The fried chicken wings/drumsticks are super crunchy with light batter. Would recommend the original over the soy garlic. The ramen was decent. The ramen was over blanched for me and the pork meat was not as soft. The fried rice with eggs was good, extra garlic would be even better!
I asked for specific flavors when I ordered half and half chicken wings, but the restaurant gave us spicy and soy garlic. After the fact, I asked what happened and they only apologized for not letting us know and didn't try anything to make it right. Horrible customer experience. The spicy wings weren't really spicy, just a lot of pepper. Also kind of dry, would not recommend. The soy garlic was ok for first few bites but got sick of it pretty quickly. The cheese tteokbokki was pretty decent. Overall, would not eat again here.
Sadly they changed a lot of their menu and it is not as good as it used to be. They had my ultimate favorite tteokbokki, but now it is much more bland. Overall a lot of their food is on the bland side now (the soondubu was the worst I have ever had) which is sad because they were the best korean food in the city before. Very disappointed :( The service was great and the inside of the restaurant is still cute. Please go back to the old menu!!!!
At 6:45 PM today January 16, 2025 my boyfriend and I went to The Jin, a restaurant on 10th Ave. in Midtown Manhattan. Simon, the manager, refused us service due to having a psychiatric service dog, whose task is to perform tactile stimulation on me. I have PTSD from religious trauma and being rejected by my parents for being queer. The Jin refused me service and said they would call the police if we did not leave. This is the second time this has happened at this restaurant. I eventually left with my boyfriend, feeling embarrassed, humiliated and traumatized by the entire experience.
I ordered food from Jin through Seamless and went to pick it up. When I arrived, I was told it would be another 10 minutes. That’s fine — delays happen. But what’s not acceptable is how I was treated next. Despite spending over $60 and seeing plenty of empty tables inside, I was told to wait outside with the Uber delivery drivers in the heat. No manners, no courtesy — as if I wasn’t a paying customer. To top it all off, when I finally got my food, the side of rice that’s supposed to come with the meal was barely half full. This kind of treatment — rude, dismissive, and careless — is how you lose loyal customers. Jin will not be getting my business again.
I wasn't sure I would post this photo of live rat running around inside (floor, counter, trash) but I care about people's health and my neighborhood. The restaurant has had evidence of live rats in establishment before at an inspection, and they have not fixed the problem. Yes, I did report to the health department
I ordered Uber eats for dinner and spent over $50 for samgyupsal (pork belly) and kimchi, along with bulgogi japchae (glass noodles). The samgyupsal was completely dry and chewy, with sauce on the side that was too sweet and salty. The japchae meat was dry, while the noodles were overcooked and too sweet. I couldn’t even finished 1/4 of the meal and had to throw the rest of it away. Do not order from here. Awful experience!
