I stopped by to check out the private space in hopes to host a private event here in the near future and to my surprise, the whole team from the host, to the bartenders and all of the staff was just a delight. Kelsey, thank you so much for your hospitality in showing me around. Best happy hour ever (as I was there at the time for that)! If that was good, I really can't want to come back and try their full food menu. Highly recommend!!
This is our second visit to The Palm, the first time in Nashville, and this time in NYC! It is literally across the street from Wicked and Just In Time so extremely convenient for a lunch before the matinee! The food was fresh, well prepared, and tasty! The highlight today was our server Salem! Talk about someone who can elevate the entire dining experience! I hope the company realizes what a gem they have! Highly recommended in NYC and ask to be seated in Salem’s corner! You won’t be disappointed!
Excellent Christmas dinner with the family. Staff very accommodating to any requests. Food was prepared to perfectly. We had steaks, au gratin potatoes, creamed spinach and even the lasagna was delicious. But of course we had to try the homemade donuts...the best! Thank you for an amazing experience.
The Palm is a boisterous, bold, big-city classic that doesn’t whisper elegance—it roars it. From the moment you walk in, it’s all swagger, sizzle, and steakhouse self-confidence. It was so nice, that I visited twice. We kicked things off with the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, and jumbo is no joke—plump, proud, and perfectly poised, these shrimp were chilled, charming, and ready for their close-up. The Smoked Bacon Macaroni + Cheese followed, a sinful, smoky, silky situation that leaned all the way into indulgence. Zero shame. Maximum melt. The Palm Meatball was big, bold, and beautifully beefy—comfort food with confidence. Meanwhile, the Gigi Salad brought a crisp, cool contrast: fresh, flavorful, and fabulously balanced. The Classic Caesar Salad was crunchy, creamy, and classically correct—no gimmicks, just greatness. When the mains marched in, the mood turned magnificent. The Chicken Parmigiana was golden, generous, and gloriously gooey—saucy satisfaction on a grand scale. The Linguine with White Clam Sauce was briny, buttery, and beautifully balanced, with tender clams clinging lovingly to every silky strand. And then… the showstopper. The Prime Bone-In Rib Eye with Cowboy Butter Shrimp arrived like a mic drop. Steakhouse splendor at its finest—rich, robust, and ridiculously juicy, with buttery shrimp riding shotgun in a glorious, garlicky glaze. Powerful. Proud. Practically poetic. Final verdict: The Palm doesn’t chase trends—it carves its own lane. It’s classic, confident, and comfortingly over-the-top, delivering polished plates with personality and portions with purpose. Come hungry. Leave happy. Possibly loosen a button. I definitely want to highlight the linguine and Bacon macaroni and cheese. Give it a try! 🍽️🥩✨ Also, a huge shout out to my servers Cesar and Carlton. Shoutout to the Service Superstars Can we talk about Cesar and Carlton for a moment? Because WOW. Smooth, savvy, and seriously on top of their game, they delivered service that was polished, personable, and perfectly paced. Not a missed beat, not an empty glass, not a single misstep. They didn’t just wait tables — they worked the room, ESPECIALLY Carlton. "It's not unusual" to think of the Fresh Prince and that classic Tom Jones song when you hear his name. Anyway, Absolute legends. Ask for them. Thank me later.
We rolled up to the palm after being denied service at Lily's Victorian due to accessibility accommodations which have previously been arranged, but we're ignored. The palm was very gracious and showed the utmost professionalism. The host is asked if I was able or wish to transfer from my wheelchair to a table chair. They had an empty private room that was in line of sight to our table and offered to store my wheelchair in there. The waiter, Lewis, was fantastic. Food was top-notch. Service was impeccable. We had an amazing evening. Thank you to the staff of the palm for saving a mother-daughter birthday celebration day in New York City.
I had an EXCELLENT birthday dinner at The Palm while in New York. I had the soup of the day which was a tomato 🍅 soup (not pictured). For my main I had a rib eye steak with grilled asparagus and creamed corn which was to die for!!!!! Good to the last drop. For desert, a layered chocolate cake which was also a very nice. A little pricy I was told but it was worth it and I enjoyed 😉 every bit of it. The walls have lots of character!
Our experience at Palm Restaurant was absolutely wonderful! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The food was incredible, every dish we ordered was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and honestly to die for. The drinks were amazing as well, expertly made and paired beautifully with our meal. The front staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The manager was personable and came by multiple times to check on us, ensuring we were enjoying everything. Everyone we interacted with was helpful, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience.
We were recommended this steak house and I have to say we were impressed with the atmosphere and service. The food was superb and every bite was delicious. But the highlight of our evening was the service. We couldn’t believe how attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly our waiter Luis was with us. He helped us select an exquisite wine to accompany the food. Made suggestions for appetizers and dinner. All cooked to perfection and served in timely manner. I have an anniversary coming up, we will definitely return here, it is an incredible experience with all it offers from the decor to the service to the food. Thank you Luis for serving us last night, you made our dinner experience one of a kind.
The experience of Palm restaurant really lies in staffs' unparalleled hospitality. The decor may be dated but nothing says "Palm" like their signature steaks. My best friend and I grabbed food and really allowed the experience shape itself out. Salem our waiter suggested two steaks along with a bottle of Cabernet really set the tone for an exceptional evening. We started with oysters Rockefeller along with the classic set. Two steaks a rib-eye and a ny strip creme spinach, au gratin potatoes and spinach with cherry peppers a delightful improvisation. Its been a minute since I enjoyed food this well dressed. Totally worth a go, check it out and ask, Salem for his recommendations he will never steer you wrong.
The Palm continues to impress with consistently excellent steaks that rank among the best in the city. Their team provides exceptional service that makes every visit special. It has become our favorite spot for a reason - the perfect combination of premium cuts, expert preparation, and attentive staff.
Stopped in for margaritas — solid, classic, and exactly what you’d expect from a quintessential Midtown spot. Didn’t get a chance to try the food this time, but the atmosphere is what you come here for: old-school NYC charm, white tablecloths, and the kind of place where deals have probably been made over steak and martinis for decades. Great for a casual drink if you’re in the area.
I couldn’t get into Gallagher’s for lunch so I ended up here. I didn’t even know this location existed, since I still thought the 2nd avenue location was still around. RIP. The restaurant was 90% empty at lunch. I call that a bonus because I’m not into eating with the herd. Service was attentive, friendly and steakhouse professional, less gruff than say Peter Luger’s or Keens. Their steak isn’t dry aged, it’s wet aged. Not a fan of the taste but they cook to temp well. Also, their steak is heavily salted, so you’ve been warned. Adult beverages are well crafted and $$$ ($20 +) Everything else was up and down. Their lobster bisque is very good. Burger was average. Fries- superb. Skip the cheesecake. I have fond memories of the original location when the adults in my life took me there as a young pup. It’s night and day from that environment, but that was a different time and a much different NYC. *Sigh* Note to my future self: It’s a great spot for a cocktail pit stop. It’s also great if you’re not a real lover of dry aged steak and would rather have an intimate but quiet lunch. The end.
Food was not a 4.3 at all! Lobster bisque, lobster was shredded quarter size and the bisque was thick. Shrimp parm with Pasta: pasta sauce was so horrible as if they dumped the diced tomato from the can and didn’t add any other condiments to it. Def no al-Dante either. The wedge salad had premix dressing way too much of it. Tiny thin steak over some kind of rice-size for a kid no presentation at all. Vodka Penn was like it was premade and had no personality at all. My friend barely ate his chicken parm either and didn’t even want to take it to go either. He normally always takes his left over to go. Only thing decent was the zeppelin doughnuts. We chose this restaurant before wicked show but if you are a foodie, not recommanding this place unless we just went too early on a sat. 12:30 seating. The 2 star is for decent service. We bumped to our friends who had an important client and they always left a lot of unfinished food as well. Too bad $350 bill and left hungry and left all the unconsumed food behind
