I love everything about it. The food is great and the drinks is amazing. They have free wifi, also charge your phone while you sip and eat. prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly.l love going there.
I go here every other day. I love the Milk Tea, Thai Tea, Honeydew, and the Ice Jelly Peach Tea. I really love the popcorn chicken too, I've tried Basil and Spicy so far--both great!
Bubble tea boba in midtown. There's a lot of options here, not just the classic milk tea, and you can ask for jelly, boba, different ice sugar levels. There are slushies and other options. The food is also very good for a bubble tea place. Place moves through a lot of customers, so while staff isn't the friendliest, they are very efficient. There is a rewards program.
By far the best bubble tea I have ever had. Very fresh and delicious. The location is a little dirty and could use some TLC but it is definitely worth stopping in.
3Q bubble milk tea - always reliably good, with the perfect balance of sweet, tannin-rich tea, with custard and boba. This is my “go-to” when I can’t figure out what I want to drink. And it always makes me happy :)
I love the great flavours you have. Especially the tiramisu. I had it with coffee jelly. Pity we don't have Vivi in the Netherlands. A lot of vegan options, too. 🥰
They recently renovated their space a little bit, so it’s now much more pleasant to stay. Food and drinks good as always. They also give free size upgrade with student ID
Awesome Taiwanese bubble tea spot. They have lots of great toppings like tapioca balls, grass jelly, and pudding. And they have many many delicious flavors like Melon tea, Thai ice tea, and Oolong milk tea.
The boba was very good!! I ordered Taro bubble tea which was very tasty. I loved that there’s many bubble teas without milk on the menu.
When I travel from London to visit my son, who lives a block away in Manhattan, visits to Vivi are a must. Had my first taste of Bubble Tea here and I have tried it since in London and elsewhere in NYC. It’s the best so far for me.
New fav bubble tea place! Tried the QQ passionfruit and kumquat plum with half sugar, and both were delish. Love the ice jelly. Provides the sliminess/fun texture of boba without the density. One thing I don’t like is that some drinks only come in L, and there’s no S option at all. Why offer M/L sizes if there’s no small?
This is a nice little shop with great food and beverages, whatever you are in the mood for, they had what we wanted and were able to help us out thanks to the helpful and friendly staff who could answer our questions. Our orders were delicious and we would come back if we're in the area.
The tea was good and at least they had a few seats.
Amazing bubble tea. Ask about reduced sugar and ice options if that is a concern. They are very accommodating. Thai ice is the best I've ever had!
When My son and I first arrived to The Big Apple in 213 he introduced me to Coco's Bubble Tea. But it weren't long before I were introduced to Vivi's they get my vote anytime. Their Bubble Tea is soooo good & The Twanise Saugages are delicious. You haven't had Bubble Tea until you had Vivi's
Not sure about their bubble tea as I've never had any but their shrimp ramen was always my go to dish when I had a cold! So delicious!
an extensive bubble tea menu with many different kinds of toppings. good place to grab your tea and go, as the seating is limited and in peak hours there can be a line.
This isn't like any bubble tea place that I have been to before (I'm from Maine). The menu is extensive, I felt like a kid in a candy store! I'm hoping to get back to NYC soon so I can try more delicious flavors of bubbles tea.
Found myself wandering the streets and came upon yet another bubble tea store! Deciding to finally try it, I was glad I did. The staff were so friendly and explained everything about caffeinated teas, all about the jellies and aloes and tapioca etc even though it was busy. I loved my tea! I tried their famous one “VIVI Milk Tea” with soy milk. And they’re so specific with the amount of sugar you request which is great if you like customizing your drink orders.
They got good food, what can I say. Popcorn chicken, what else do you want! So good and filling for a bag. I just started going on a low sodium diet so won't be coming back here very often but was so good before that ...oh how much I'll miss you.
Great options and delicious tea. You can call in your order ahead of time. They accept cash and card. If you arrive during lunch hours you're guaranteed at least a 15 minute wait. Otherwise the service is usually quick and friendly. The vegetable dumplings are pretty good, but don't bother with the ramen! You could make better ramen at home with those $1 packs!
The staff are working hard to dish those orders out, from my perspective. There is a lot of orders from places like these so usually the delivery couriers pick them up due to the long line. Friendly & courteous, and attentive. Not even McDonald's can top that. Recommended.
Taiwanese popcorn chicken is my fav here. It can be a little salty sometimes. Brown sugar milk is 🤩 Authentic full of 台灣味!Portion is good too! One thing to be noted is that THEY KNOW HOW TO COOK BOBA!!!
I've been to the other 2 locations and this one is my favorite one. This one provides more variety of food, in particular rice balls, sushi, ramen, and different flavored popcorn chicken. Of course they offer all the flavors of drinks and offer them hot or cold and with/without tapioca aka bubbles aka boba. It's as small as the 17th Street location but I was able to get a table out of the 3 they have.
Viva bubble tea is always been excellent no matter whenever time whatever time Etc it is a great place if you like that type of stuff if you like those teas and have Bubbles and all that stuff once again I highly recommend you stop and visit let them know the chef Eddie said Hello thank you continue to subscribe and like have a great day bye.
Enjoy the veggie miso ramen soup. Also the vegetarian dumplings are great. Reasonable prices for the food quality. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Once in a while a order the bubble black tea.
Omg! So I stumbled upon this place while searching for a place to get some Bubble tea..I figured I'm in NYC there will be plenty of options. I ultimately settled on trying here because it was near some areas I wanted to go shopping in...omg best decision ever. First I walk in and the place smells of warm tea and it is so comforting. I ordered the Strawberry lemon Jade tea with boba and shrimp tempura ramen with a spicy base. I tasted the tea and thought I had died and gone to heaven. It is PERFECT...and there are so many flavors I don't even know what to try next because I want them all now! It was the right amount of tartness from the Lemon....then the ramen comes out and it looks like something from a Studio Ghibli movie. It tastes wonderful and was so hot which was a nice comfort on a cold NYC day like today. I am telling all of my friends to try this place...I'm obsessed now.
This is by far one of my favorite bubble tea places to go to after a long day at work. They have amazing flavors of bubble tea to choose from, and their popcorn chicken and taiwanese sausages taste amazing. They are always quick to have your order ready and the workers there have great attitudes!
Great bubble tea, it's nice that they have a free size upgrade if you're a student. I also love their popcorn chicken. All the flavors are great. Seating is limited so good luck trying to find a seat during lunch time.
This hole in the wall serves up popcorn chicken that has no right to be so good. It's crispy, juicy, blisteringly hot inside, and flavorful. The decor is bare bones, indoor seating is practically non-existent, but the food and bubble tea selection is great.
My friend and I were walking around so much the day we came here. It was super hot outside so we were so thirsty and drained. Luckily we stumbled across this gem. Seems to be the only bubble tea place around Times Square. The workers were really nice and the ambiance of this shop was very relaxed and laid back. I got a mango bubble tea and it was delicious. Usually places have the bubbles sticking together so there's just a clump of bubbles at the bottom of the drink. This place, however, didn't have that. The bubbles never stuck together. And the liquid was sweet enough just to my liking. Yum. Next time I'm in Times Square, I'll be sure to come back.
I love Vivi in general so I'm a bit biased. This location has 3 tables and seats inside. If you can grab them, it's a great spot you can chill in. The ladies behind the counter make the drinks fairly fast and I've never had an issue with an order. The popcorn chicken is great also. I'm always trying to fill out that stamp card for that free drink!
I love ViVi!! I’ve come here for years before, during, and after Covid and I do believe the service and staff has improved. Yes there is a language barrier but if you are nice they will be nice. They deal with many rude, rac*st, or homeless customers due to their location. I feel bad for them. Unlike other boba shops this location does not force you to tip, there is no screen if you are paying with card it’s old style. The quality of the drink is good for what you pay for, not super high quality but still good. The popcorn chicken and French fries are excellent. The sushi is not bad. Delivery orders are usually super quick and food is still hot. Sometimes you have to ask for ketchup.
the honey dew milk tea is by far my fave item they sell.
Their flavor tea such as grapefruit, peach, mango, passionfruit tea are often too sweet. I would suggest ordering 50% sugar and light ice. This location specifically offers student discount which is an upgrade from medium to large. This offer is rare to find in other locations. Wide variety of food & snack choices.
I came around noon on a Sunday. It was raining outside. There were only a few people and myself in the shop, so there were empty seats. Ordering and drink came out quick. I ordered an early grey float, and it was good. The cream and boba were just right. The tea was not too sweet, which is great. Note: minimum $5 for card purchase.
The selection of teas and the variety of the toppings beats the CoCo Tea & Juice location just up and across 9th Ave. There is some seating available, and besides the teas, this chain sells hot snacks, so that's another plus. Orders are prepared quickly and precisely. Teas a a little on a sweeter side. Boba is prepared very well - slick and chewy. However, the place gets a little messy by the end of the day, and definitely loses some charm because of that.
Everything is amazing but one thing. The place is to small of the traffic that goes through it. Often times you're not in the line, your waiting in the line for pick up. They need to reorganize it. Other then that great bubble tea
Never did bubble tea. It was an experience. Staff was friendly and quick with orders. Place was clean. Free WiFi if you wanted to sit and chill. As for the drink, I did a fruit drink and tapioca. The drink was good. The tapioca odd feeling going down... Lol. Wife said it's better when you have an Asian friend telling you what's good to have
I love that they offer a variety of flavors for their boba teas, they maintain a consistent quality that’s why I get 6/7 drinks from them every a month. My only complain would be the cleanliness of the space. I wish the space was more neat and clean.
Quite tasty milk tea at a reasonable price, with an extensive side menu. The popcorn chicken they offer is incredible, but also rather greasy, so you might want to split it. Unlike some other options in Midtown (which have their own pros and cons) they offer some pretty interesting special flavors like tiramisu.
One of my favorite spots for bubble tea. Very small space, but I normally just get it to go. They have all sorts of flavors and combinations. Taro with tapioca is one of my most-liked bubble teas.
I was craving some bubble tea on my commute home and the bright pink sign for this bubble tea store stood out! It was like a sign I should go in. They had quite an extensive menu for any bubble tea lover from slushies to hot tea with bubbles*. Looking over their menu they did have some munchies. From what I overheard waiting in line, their popcorn chicken seems to be a crowd favorite. Feeling adventurous, I thought I'd try the Kumquat Lemon medium slushie with bubbles ($3.75). Good thing I was adventurous because it was a great light and cold choice for a hot, summer day. The slushie was perfect where there were ice shavings but the bubbles were not frozen where the consistency was altered. When you enter, head towards the back where the register is to order. They do accept card, however you just need a $5 purchase. Hold on to your receipt because they call you by order number! They have a small "shelf" off the wall where you could stand and munch otherwise they have about 4-5 mini tables with chairs. Staff was friendly and quick! I can't wait to be back to try their other flavors.
I didn't get a picture of the fried chicken but the chicken and tea combo is extrodinary. I am addicted to the popcorn chicken that is a crunchy flavor bomb of savory goodness, combined with the sweet bubble tea then you have a great lunch. Spicy or garlic chicken is my favorite!
One of my favorite bubble tea places. They also sell really good and cheap food as well. The bubble tea here is sweet and not watered down at all which I do like. The service is fast as well and in placed in a good location.
My daughter got the 3Q milk tea. We had no idea what that meant but decided to try it anyway. It was delicious. I got the Thai bubble milk tea, which was also delicious. The line moved quickly and efficiently and we did not have to wait long for our tea. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the place looks so crummy... It looks old and it's tiny and crowded. There was a bench to sit on while waiting for your tea, so that was good. There was also one table with crumbs all over it and only one chair, which just seemed kind of bizarre.
Good place for bubble tea, decent prices (a little more than Chinatown, but reasonable for the area), and they don't load the bubble teas with ice like some other places. Surprisingly good popcorn chicken! Sometimes the wait can be long, and about 25% of the time they miss my request for no sugar in my drinks.
Stumbled upon this while trying to get to the docks, and oh my god! The place is beyond cute and adorable, and the drink selections are amazing! I have never tried bubble teas before, and everything on their top ten list was delicious. Only con I would say is that the store is small, and I was lucky to get a drink before I saw what their lunch time line was!
This is the one bubble tea place I frequent most and It's always good and the boba are usually perfect but I have gotten them real soft and gooey at times . Staff I cordial and all business but it works well. I get the coconut bubble tea. Prices are typical NYC $$.
I tried Seafood ramen and it wasn't tasty. Milk tea with bubbles is good. Very small space for seating. (4 small tables with 8 seats in total)
This place gets super packed! Which I don't usually mind, however, I don't appreciate a rude impatient staff. I understand they have a lot of people and orders but it was my first time at this place and the register lady didn't seem to want to deal with me when I asked which she would recommend since it was my first time there. She just wanted to get rid of me and move on. I ordered the galaxy since seemed to be their popular signature drink. The drink as ok. Nothing about it stood out to me.
Ideal location with a not so ideal space to serve their customers. The coconut bubble tea is very good, seating is minimal, the facility could be a tad bit tidier. There's a $5 minimum for debit cards so, be ready to treat someone if you're going in for a small drink — only.
Amazing boba tea they make quite quickly. Awful seating areas. It's clean and beautiful but small, cramped, and iirc some other locations don't even have anywhere to sit. Great taste but don't expect to be able to sit or even stand comfortably without getting a million "excuse me"s.
Unfortunately the only boba place in the immediate neighborhood. The tea is quite watery, you get the feeling you're drinking mostly water and milk. Think they need to brew stronger tea or let it steep more before using it in the bubble tea. The boba itself is great tho. Soft and chewy as fresh boba should be!
I'll start with the positives: there's a wide variety of flavors and some really unique options to try. I came here with my sister, in which she ordered the Oreo Creme Brûlée with Moo Milk. I had a sip, and it practically just tasted like milk with no flavor whatsoever. I ordered the Taro Creme Brûlée at 50% sweetness, and it also was overpowered by milk. I usually don't like things when they're too sweet, but it was just so unusually bitter. The place also wasn't the cleanest, either. Maybe try and go to a different location?
Unfriendly staff. Took a while to get a simple Jasmine Milk Bubble Tea. Was not busy when I went in. The Jasmine Milk Bubble Tea was at least tasty. Bummed. I love bubble teas and would have liked to try this place again, but there is too many options in NYC to be treated poorly by staff with no regard to decent, friendly service.
Fun vibe and tasty popcorn chicken, but the service brought it down. The girl in the green hat seemed unhappy and not interested in helping when I asked for a recommendation. Food took a while but was flavorful once it arrived. Cool spot overall, but the staff energy didn’t match the fun atmosphere. Please add kiosk for self ordering.
Staff is not friendly for a very toured city. When asked about flavors she never answered. Did not give one customer their change.
This place was interesting - they serve a variety of food in addition to bubble tea. I ordered a milk tea which tasted great! The only issue with this place is that you can't choose your sugar or ice level - so all drinks come with 100% sugar - that can be a bit much. Would consider going back again, but there are many other better bubble tea shops in Manhattan.
I have a sneaking suspicion that my flavor wasn't correct - I ordered a taro drink and it basically tasted like black tea with maybe some Taro ish syrup on the sides. But the most important part was the creme brulee top, and they really did bring out a torch and create a creme brulee top to my bubble tea, so props for that. Still tasted good and satisfying but i guess I'll just go to k town next time.
Probably one of the worst milk tea I have ever tried. Plain, bitter, no flavor at all. What an unfortunate experience. There are better places, I don’t recommend unfortunately.
Listen to the reviews. Do not bother wasting your time or money. (By the way, the prices are higher than showed on yelp and Google.) We overlooked the reviews because the selection looked great and should have listened to reviews. We had the honeydew milk bubble tea and Matcha tea and both tasted watered down. Also, we asked for red bean Matcha tea and they gave us the regular Matcha. Oh, and the milk tea was barely cold. We showed up about 10 minutes before closing and after about two minutes and the girl at the counter said we are closing at 10 with a rude tone. And we were off to the side, not holding up a line…which there was no line either.
First time here, had the taro milk tea with bubbles (30% sugar). The taro milk tea tastes extremely artificial, the bubbles do have the texture I expected (therefore I do concur with some other reviews). I would love to have a look at the list of ingredients... The staff was friendly though it doesn't change the outcome.
While I commend Vivi's ability to modify to covid conditions, their service is far below par and I had a horrible experience where I was yelled at by one of their employees. The speaker is difficult to hear from and there was a misunderstanding with what I clearly stated was a matcha green tea with milk and with bubbles. They would not rectify the situation and give me the correct drink saying that I had ordered a milk green tea. The server yelled at me and was BEYOND RUDE in her tone to me. She also stated categorically the she could not remake them and I needed to repurchase the correct ones. $12 for two wrong drinks is disgusting. This was supposed to be a surprise for my sister who recently had eye surgery and I do not have the funds to rebuy the correct drinks nor do I deserve to be yelled at when they were wrong and when I am a loyal customer.
We used to love coming here. However, the staff showed that they really did not care about the surrounding community. A gentleman seemed to collapse in front of the shop as a Vivi customer came out. The customers immediately went to help him up. However the man was unsteady and could not stand. I asked the staff if I could bring out a chair for them. Vivi staff refused. They refused to lend a chair.
Went for a bubble tea to end my day and was charged 50 cents for bubbles which I thought I could stomach but what I could not was the flavor of the taro bubble tea which I've had countless times in my life and left me very disappointed. On top of that upon asking for it to be remade or something different they flashed a tiny no refunds/exchange post it hiding in the corner and said to"try next time". Very unprofessional when paying $6 for a taro tea. Never again.
Okay, don’t get me wrong vivi bubble tea is delicious, but the workers are absolutely horrible and slow. My friends and I went there on our lunch, and right off the bat the lady who took our order looked tired, annoyed, and just not happy with her job. We then proceeded to wait almost 30 minutes on 2 rice balls (which were falling apart when we got them) and 4 drinks. This might just be my experience but please, do better.
Gross gross gross!!!!! Do NOT believe any of the good reviews this place is straight TRASH!!! I got a taro tea....tasted like SOAP. My husband got the oreo creme Brulee...tasted like MILK with oreo crumbs. I told the girl my taro didn't taste like taro n she pretty much called me a liar she refused to give me a different drink or give me my money back she said "well that is what you ordered" I have had taro tea at MANY tea placed and THAT was definitely NOT TARO!!! We spent almost 30.00 and we didn't drink ANY of the drinks they went right to the TRASH where they belong. Don't even bother with this place.Huge waste of money!!!
Rude staff. I found the drink I ordered to be too sweet and asked if they could please remake it with less sugar and they refused. I ended up throwing it out. The chicken I had ordered also took 20 minutes to come out.
Do not eat here if you care about sanitation!! I watched the ladies up front take orders, make orders, touch their face/hair/clothes, and even wash dishes without changing their gloves or washing their hand even once!! I also found a hair in my bubble tea while I was drinking it (since the tea is sealed in house, I know it was know my hair!) I repeat, if you care about eating at a clean place, DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!
The workers are incompetent, they don’t even know what deals they have. They couldn’t understand what I was trying to order. I finally was able to order the Oreo creme brulee boba tea and they made my boba milk tea without the actual boba… Truly disappointed, the drinks are good but the workers ruin the experience.
I would give it a lower rating but I can’t my wife got a taro tea drink and it tasted like s*** perfume and when she told them if they could remake it or if she can get a new one they said nope and then I tried mine and an oreo crème brûlée bubble moo MILK it is just milk and Oreo DUST not even crumbs (see picture) at least I like milk I just want to say strait TRASH!!!!!!!!!!! They even charge you extra for boba
Unfortunately this location doesn't live up to the others. The place is dirty overall and the cups used to make the drinks weren't cleaned properly in between orders. Our drinks had remnants of other flavors in them. When we asked for a new one, they said the dirt was on the outside of the cup and they proceeded to wipe them down with dirty rags. We also spotted what appeared to be droppings on the floor behind the counter. We asked for our money back and they refused a refund.
I guess I’m just used to Muis Tea where the tea is actual fruit tea and not some colorful chemicals but this was abysmal. Spent ten bucks on a drink to then toss it two minutes later. The boba was HOT in my cold drink and there were chunks of pineapple that was apparently part of the drink? What a waste of money. I don’t recommend
