Great Chinese place I found in Manhattan. Chicken Wings and Fries and the Subgum Wonton was great. The staff were friendly and even cooked my meal right as they were closing.
Food here is totally under the radar. They have Chinese food that tastes like how you expect Chinese food to taste. Chicken broccoli 🥦 is saucy you can always ask for extra sauce chicken wings are crispy you can ask for them to chop it up. Staff is very friendly and nice It gets busy here during lunch hours as it's right across from mount sinai hospital.
I got a sesame chicken lunch special, the chicken tasted very flavorful, and the rice was nice and fresh. Will be coming back again!
The place is clean. The staffs are friendly. The food is made to order which surprised me, and is delicious and authentic. I ordered mushroom chicken, pork fried rice and hot sour soup and before tax only costs $6.99, with a small bag of friend crunchy flour sticks as snack. Highest Cost/Performance value I have ever seen in the whole states! You can replace pork fried rice with white rice or egg fried rice, and soup with iced coke or egg drops soup. It was very hot that day and the front desk lady strongly recommended iced coke but I insisted my personalized order. The hot sour soup came very dense and rich of contents and a lot of flavor and I like it very much. The pork fried rice was well done too, minced bbq pork mixed well with turmeric colored yellow rice, very loose not sticky, and tasty. Mushroom chicken had mushroom and snow peas, carrots and other veggies which was just what I savored for. A Korean client told me the owner was from Malaysia. The place was very busy at noon, nurses from Mt Sinai nearby, HVAC guys, retiree, traveler, you name it. It is a neighborhood jewel.

I used to eat from here once a month before the pandemic, but ever since they've had that 'C' sitting in the window, I haven't been. I noticed it isn't that packed as well. It could be because of the 'C', it could be because the neighborhood favorite, Mimi, is no longer there. The food started not to taste the same anyways. Some of the dishes that I used to order regularly were either overcooked, dry, or just didn't taste like the Yoan Ming I was used to. It sucks cuz that is my neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Anyone who lives or works around here knows we have less than a few fast food restaurants in this area.....which is a good thing. The next Chinese restaurant is 5 blocks North of Madison and really isn't too comfortable to wait around for your food.
went here a lot bc my school is super close and the food is cheap, there's a lot of it, and it tastes good. I'm a hijabi tho and these ppl watched me unknowingly get soup with pork in it and said NOTHINGGF 😭😭😭. it's ok bc the soup was free cuz if u get smt u can get a free soup or drink nd ion like soup so I'd js give it to my friend BU5 STILL LIKE HELLO?. finally found out one day when a cashier told me like tyy. for my Muslims tho DONT get food from here bc I found out it gas a C rating in health which means the food tastes better right but bc they serve a lot of pork there's soo def cross contamination. the food was bomb tho nd my cantonese friend said it looked pretty authentic 😔😔 BUT I JUST WANNA SAY there are other reviews showing dead bugs in the food and I don't doubt it at all u can see behind from the place u order and it doesn't look too clean and even near the tables there's so much dust and dirt so EAT AT UR CAUTION IG ?
When it comes to takeout/delivery chinese the most important factor for me is the food: how is the food? It's... Not great. I'd give it a C. I ordered sesame chicken and wonton soup and both were pretty bland. The price is nice and cheap for the area, but the flavor is where my heart is at. The lady at the counter was trying very hard to be nice, for what that's worth

My biggest issue is that the restaurant appeared unclean and clustered. It is a small space and with moderate upkeep it can be tidy with ease. I never understand restaurant owners not caring about the cleanliness of their space. Isn’t this some violation? Even though they have chairs, it would be hard to view such sight while eating, in can’t it would be hard to eat the food knowing that the owners don’t care about cleanliness.

Probably the worst delivery order I’ve ever made. Ordered Mapo tofu, Szechuan chicken, and double sautéed pork. They used same sauce for all 3 orders (which taste same things with different ingredients). Just wow.. this is not right
Dont have to say much. Found a spider or god knows what in my food. Legs def had fur in them. Believe the other reviews as well. Rodent issue is still at large here
Well, food is not that bad;but I saw this on the front window...A "D" from NYC Sanitation Dept...I,m not ordering food from this place anymore,Boar's Head looks more healthy than this place...
I was loving this spot so much. The food is soooo good. But my appetite was completely ruined when I saw this in my food.

I had vegetable dumplings and boneless ribs. You could taste that both were recently thawed and were not cooked right. The vegetable dumplings tasted like wet newspaper and the boneless ribs were covered in fatty bits and the few actual editable bits tasted akin to meat flavored rubber all of which was sitting in a bed of oil. Quite gross, i'll never eat here again.
THE WORST CHINESE FOOD I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE AT ALL!!!
This was our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Until a few weeks ago, my spouse ordered our usual dish, and as she was eating, she looked inside the rice container and saw a dead medium size cockroach. We were so disappointed because we really enjoyed their food. Nonetheless, we will never eat here again! We took the food back and showed the cook. We were refunded but left with no acknowledgment/apology of the issue.
I started ordering from them in 1996 when I first moved Into my place. Food was good then. Even before Covid, Things changed for the worse. I just ordered some food. It was bad! Looks like oil has not been changed in years ..chicken wings, BBQ spare, egg rolls! All terrible! There is actually a C rating in the window for a reason. Very disapointed
This rating is for their delivery guy. He is so rude with a horrendous attitude. He delivered food nearby at Mount Sinai Hospital and when he called me I stated that I am walking out front to him, that way he does not have to worry about wondering which person he has to deliver to once he’s inside. He replies with “ok.” As I am walking through the revolving doors I see him walking through the manual doors. I waved so that he can see me. Once he notices that I’m outside he walks back out with an annoyed look on his face. No greeting and hands me my food so rushingly. Whether he was having a bad day or not, he needs to improve his demeanor or have someone else deliver the food. I was generous with $2 tip. He truly deserved no tip.
We ordered online for delivery. They forgot the fries. When we called to tell them, they said they never charged the fries (we ordered online) and all their prices went up so if we wanted the fries, we were going to have to pay extra. Even though they didn't update their website and didn't update their prices the lady wouldn't waive the charge. Horrible way to run a business and an amazing way to ensure that customers don't return.
Every time we order from this place the delivery guy always has an attitude. He calls my wife saying I'm downstairs when he has not arrived yet. How I know because I'm waiting to take my wife home. It's better if you order the food and pick it up yourself. Instead of dealing with the delivery guy attitude.
