Amazing food, delicious drinks and attentive service. You cannot ask for more for a brunch on a weekend. Free flowing food and drinks and they make sure neither your plate nor your glass is empty at any time!! Lychee mimosa and salmon Benedict were my favorite, but we loved all the food
There isn't much about this place that hasn't been said. The food is very delicious. The mix of Mexican and Asian cuisines worked very well. The drinks kept flowing and service was fast and pleasant. This was my second time there, and our server David gave us another reason to keep going back. Everyone from our table left the restaurant very pleased.
I should start by saying that this place has one of the best brunches New York has to offer. For just $49, you get two hours of unlimited food and cocktails. Coktails include Mango Mimosa, Original Mimosa, Lychee Mimosa, Sangria, Blood Red Sangria etc. The server took great care of us and made sure we had the time of our lives. The vibes are great and the place is beautiful. Zengo, you rock!!
What a fun place. Food was great too. Good small plates/sharing options. Not busy on a Saturday night was a bonus. It's off the beaten path and that was fine for us. Tequila bar downstairs was a great added bonus. We liked the potstickers, crab guacamole, and sushi. Mushroom flat bread was a bit off. Fun place for going out with friends.
I had to order the chefs choice when I came here. It had everything I could ever want in a sushi platter. The drinks were amazing as well. Me and my friends loved it.
Great place, ambiance and bartender was awesome. I was initially there for La Biblioteca. Although I was a bit confused. I guess upstairs the place is called Zengo and downstairs is La Biblioteca. I stayed upstairs since they were able to offer us La Biblioteca menu, which has tequila tastings. If you love tequila this is the place to be. The upstairs part is big and great for large group get togethers. The bar area is small but there are lots of tables. Downstairs is darker and cozier. I will definitely return.
All you can eat small plates, plus bottomless cocktails. And those cocktails are STRONG, not weak and watered down. This place is my new favorite brunch spot, and our waitress Cindy was excellent!
Wonderful food. Very fresh and original. We had a large party and they were very attentive.
Th restaurant is well kept and very cozy. Very well disposed. Music is soft and great for ambient/mood. Prices and service are good for what you pay.
Fantastic food. I had the Restaurant Week menu. The service was excellent, even though I showed up at 9:15 and they closed at 10:00. The coconut flan was amazing.
It was a great experience definitely should go there for brunch. You need reservations for sure.
Unlimited brunch, everything was yummy. It was served family style.
Spectacular atmosphere to spend with friends and family. I would definitely recommend!
Excellent service, delicious food, great atmosphere for family or a group of friends. A lot of bang for your buck! Totally worth it!
This room gives great ambiance. Tacos were really good!
Love the decor and ambience. I've twice so far and have enjoyed each visit immensely. Talented bar staff. Lower lounge for those who really need to be seen. Sushi is pretty delicious. I usually stick with the starter menu because there is lots to share. :) Nice music and sometimes the beautiful people are there too.
Happy hour downstairs in the library is amazing. Not too crowded and easy to talk, drink, and snack. Dont get a bottle during happy hour. Cheaper by the glass. They have a heavy hand with the wine which is great. Great after work happy hour spot.
I think their brunch is THE best kept secret of NYC. $50 for unlimited fusion food and yummy drinks too. My go to for big parties because there is something for everyone! The inside is beautiful and bohemian style as well with great natural light from the windows. Can't express how much I love it.
Fantastic ambience: loved the decor. Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Choice of tasty veg & non-veg starters. The collection of non-American beers was really wide, and we got to try out some interesting new Japanese beers. The collection of liqueurs available was also excellent, with a couple of Asian liqueurs that we had never heard of. We couldn't stay for a full dinner, but there's always next time. All in all, a wonderful experience. Will definitely visit again.
I was pleasantly surpised! Although a bit on the pricey side, the food was really delicious! The steak, and all apps were amazing! Best Asian bbq ribs ever! But you only get three small pieces for 17$ I think! Nice decor as well.
This place is incredible and so are their prices. Drinks are delish and the bartenders are super nice and cool. For my third drink, I couldn't make up my mind so I asked him to surprise me.... that he did. My drink was amazing. I think it had some strawberry juice, triple sec, and one other flavor mixed with tequila. It was pretty darn amazing. The steak mini tacos were good to. You get 3 mini ones for $5, and they also have a shrimp flatbread that was just as good for the same price. This is perfect for after work gatherings. They have couches that can fit large groups and the vibe is really chill.
Delicious food!! We went there for brunch on Saturday, it was bottomless plates and drinks for two hours for $50 per person! The plates are more family style/tapas and they had a wide variety of drinks. Our waiter was awesome and the atmosphere and style was very modern and beautiful. Would definitely go back!
Came here for Saturday brunch with a group of 9 and was very pleased. Our waitress was amazing with providing the bottomless food and drinks - we definitely felt that we ate and drank our money's worth. Some of the food could use improving but most dishes were delicious and the drinks were great. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to being back here in the future!
This is officially my new favorite brunch spot!! The staff and waiter were extremely nice and attentive. Hostess set me at table before the whole party arrived just so I can get the full 2 hrs of the bottomless goods. The ambiance and the food were amazing! The choices are abundant, deff recommending this spot to everyone.
It is very big and has a nice decor. There is a more private downstairs area that has more of a nighttime vibe to it with dark lighting and lounge vibe. We ordered a few different things to eat and had a few cocktails. I enjoyed everything. Not the cheapest place but nice overall.
Great eating experience with a very loud atmosphere. The food was delicious although the plates were small that makes you want to try a bit of everything. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back.
Visited this place for office team lunch. Went for the $29 fixed lunch menu which comes with an appetizer, main course and dessert. Each of them has 3 choices of dishes and you need to choose 1 of each. For appetizers I went with the chicken potstickers which were delicious. The main course was mahi mahi which I liked too but felt the quantity was less. The dessert consisted of chocolate lava cake with strawberry ice cream which was again very good.
Loveeeed the ambiance and decor of this place! Came here for a team lunch and was not disappointed. The fusion on the menu was unusual but welcomed as a fellow Puerto Rican. Though, I did play it safe with the Carne Asada sanguich and White Sangria. Also pictured is some sort of veg noodle, which looked more flavorful than it tasted. It was missing every spice, including salt. Go all in and get the prix-fixe for lunch, looked delicious as well!
Great place for brunch if you are looking for an unlimited option. Food pricing and selection on food and drinks. Make a reservation as it can be very busy. But well worth the wait!
Good service with a nice ambiance. Menu is a bit limited, but Sunday brunch seems to make up for it.... overall great place, nice vibe.
Sunday Brunch was great. I wish there was a DJ on deck -that would be perfect
Serves delicious and mouth-watering Mexican and Asian food. Particularly liked the spring roll, dumpling, satay and sushi.
I had my 2/10/18 Birthday brunch here for 15 people, food was very good and drinks were great as well. Management did good job coordinating whole thing, lighting is dim but decor is astonishing. $45 unlimited food/drinks is great deal!
Happy hour drinks and food is the best thing here. The dinner is fine, but nothing to write home about. I think the best is to come after work, grab a few drinks and appetizers then head off to dinner. Happy hour is well priced but main dinner is expensive and I think there are better places. The space is really cool though and there is another bar in the basement that gets busy and has lots of tequilla and is a lot of fun!
I enjoyed my meal here. I met up with a very close friend that I had not seen in almost a year. I had a feeling we were going to be pressured to leave quickly after our meal, and was pleasantly surprised that the waitress was more than happy to allow us to take our time. The food was really good (outside of the appetizers) and the service was also quite good. We all really enjoyed our main entrees and also our desserts. However, we ordered a sushi roll for an appetizer that was barely edible. We also ordered a shrimp oriented appetizer that was soaked in what I believe they have been soy sauce. It basically was a salt bomb. However, no harm no foul, as the rest of the meal was very enjoyable and as I mentioned, the service was very good.. I would not hesitate to go back to this restaurant.
Went there for their brunch on a Sunday. The brunch is 2 hrs unlimited food and drinks. My friends and I went to town, the food was good, the choices after a plenty, the drinks not so much. We enjoyed ourselves, fill our bellies and drank our fill of the mimosas since that was the only one that tasted like it had alcohol. I would go here again.
The prices were fair for the food they offered. The food was good - nothing to rave about but as expected. I ordered a bento box with pan seared salmon. The salmon was a little dry. The decor was attractive and I went during a slow time so service was quick. Perfect spot for a lunch meeting.
I think the concept of the their unlimited brunch menu and drinks was cool for $49 however, can at least make sure that the food is warm when it gets to the table. Everything was cold - even the restaurant was freezing. I’m assuming their heater was broken. I like the ambiance though.
All the food was cold! I went in for the bottomless brunch with unlimited plates and for some reason all the food was cold. The drinks remained bottomless which is why they get 3 stars. We asked the waitress for warm food but she still brought out cold food. Really disappointed.
Nice food if you like fusion places. Big and nice venue as well. A bit pricey.
This was my second visit to this restaurant and sadly wasn't as memorable as the first time. The service is great here but the food can be a little underwhelming depending on the dish ordered. My entree was ok, although nothing I was over the moon about, however the other 3 in my party weren't very impressed by were able to get through the meal. The food portions were questionable for some dishes based on the price and other dishes were a bit too much in the sweet side. Definitely wish I had ordered the same thing I did the first visit. Additional simpler menu items would go a long way here
Decor is great. Wait staff were courteous. Food was decent. Thought the coconut shrimp were over cooked, making the shrimp taste pretty bad, like rubber. Tuna was fantastic. The medium rare skirt steak was more medium well so that's a huge negative not knowing how to prepare a steak. The worst was the 20 minutes wait from end of entree to getting the dessert.
A little over rated. I was really looking forward to coming here but was a little disappointed. The appetizers were good, small sampler plates. My entire party was a little disappointed with their entrees though. The space is great and the lounge downstairs is a nice plus.
I did brunch here one Saturday, it was okay. The decor was really awesome. There might have been a lot of people there but because it is a really large restaurant it felt pretty empty, so the atmosphere was kind of strange. Many of the dishes sounded really good but fell flat. A bunch of the hot dishes came out cold. I was really excited to try this place but wouldn't seak it out again.
So my friends and I reserved a table of 8 for 8:30 pm under Restaurant week. We got to there early and was going get a drink or go to the lounge. They were able to seat us for our reservation early. This was about 7:20. We were excited to eat, and they were very prompt at the beginning of our service. Little did we realized everything kind of went down hill after that. So the rest of our party got here about 8:05, meanwhile we ordered some drinks and appetizers. Drinks were great, as well as the spicy crab guacamole. We then decide to order our food. We all opt for the 3-course prefix meal for restaurant week. We slowly got our first sign of food about 8:56. It was busy so we didn't think it was horrible wait when we ordered around 8:22. Next part of our meal came out at 9:23... not horrible but then only 6 out of 8 was served their meal. We waited and waited then spoke up about it. Somehow we did not get our last two plates for our two friends at the table. No one came to check, and our server was missing or busy with other tables. So we waited for a manager to approach us, he did come by but did not speak to any of us. I wondered why... Our server did apologize but did not tell us what happened. She did mentioned that the chef said all plates were out and completed. Our two friends waited almost 9:54 to get their plates. We also just asked them for our desserts and they rushed it out with their plates as well. Till the end of our meal we were still waiting to speak to someone, but no luck. I guess because we were a large group and during restaurant week we did not matter to the manager. We left the restaurant with no explanation or accommodations on their end. So sadly we could not enjoy our food. I say the short ribs was really good along with the spider roll and kimchi soup. The mahi mahi was very bland. The dessert wasn't too crazy, I think the apple pie was hard, and very uneven filling. The ice cream overpowered both desserts. Check the pictures as always and my IG Jliueats/ LcrazyaznL
I had my 30th bday brunch there. Pros- Very accommodating. You can book a table for 20 on open table. It is easily accessible. It is right by grand central and subway lines. There is a parking lot 2 blocks away for $13. Decor is beautiful and very modern. My party was placed upstairs which was nice and intimate. Cons- My waitress had an attitude. It was clear she did not want to be there. The drinks are pre made and watered down. The flavored mimosas were separating in the glass. We had to keep asking the waitress to fill our glasses. The sake sangria tasted like colored water. They hardly had anything on their bottomless menu. I was really looking forward to the dumplings but they said they don't serve that anymore. The food was tasteless. Only thing i enjoyed were the noodles. Everything else came out freezing cold and sweaty. The concept is great but I could have did without.
Service isn't consistent and neither is the food. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. The prices don't match the food quality or quantity (not in a good way). Went with friends for restaurant week and one person paid $20 for 3 really small dumplings and they didn't even order any drinks. You'll get robbed on the appetizers, stick to the entrees.
Went for brunch menu yesterday. Waiter was great, very knowledgeable, place had nice decor and food was good. This would have gotten a higher star rating (4/5)if not for the horrendous and inhumane policy by management regarding taking home the rest of our food. After ordering the brunch tapas menu the three of us had a substantial amount of food left, entire plates of food was untouched. We asked for a take home container only to be told they do not allow you take home any items from the 2 hour brunch menu and it would all be THROWN AWAY. This is absolutely the most inhumane policy I have ever encountered at a restaurant. For the owners to feel that it is okay to waste food that was already paid for simply to deter folks from ordering multiple rounds. We had only ordered one round and did not ask for anything extra. I feel management is obviously oblivious to the concept of conservation and ethical conduct. As there are hundreds of homeless people living right outside their door, I think they can make better use of their resources. I would hope they put this ridiculous policy in writing on the menu or have the waiter/ hostess clearly state this policy before you order.
Food was ok, service was terrible. Rude host and hostess, they lost our reservation and claimed it was our fault. All you can eat/drink brunch was supposed to last until 4pm. At 3:55, the waitress refused to refresh our drinks despite several other tables still being served. A girl was over-served and vomiting on the stairs and in the bathroom. Had to ask them to clear the dirty plates and bring fresh plates for dessert. Not worth the money or time.
Went for brunch. Multiple dishes were brought out completely cold, after a long wait. We weren't told we didn't have to get the unlimited drinks, but there it was on our bill at the end. Shrimp ceviche was a sweet fruit salad with a couple of pieces of shrimp thrown in-not ceviche! Not worth the price. Mediocre food for expensive price.
