It’s a great place with great people and most importantly great food!
A small pick up place but absolutely delicious! Always super friendly and super yummy.
Amazing tacos and today they free until 5PM.
Very generous welcoming love how they have other options
Crispy chicken tacos are my favorite! Never fails
It’s a hole in the wall but the food is fantastic & authentic. The soft tacos were warm & delicious.
Incredible hole-in-the-wall tacos. So surprised and excited to go back. Don’t be fooled by the modest walk-up exterior.
The food here is amazing! A hidden gem in midtown. Pass by and grab anything you see there and you’ll have a great experience. 5 stars!!
A tiny place but amazing food and servers!!😊From delicious tacos to outstanding quesadillas this is your to go place I've tried the burritos and right now in love with their latest addition Birria tacos!!🌮 🌯 Perfectly spiced and tasty comes with the birria sauce!!😋
This was my favorite meal in NYC, delicious burrito bowls and the pico de gallo was awesome. Highly recommend you try this one.
I got 3 al Pastor tacos, great flavor and quick and friendly service. Definitely a great place to pick up lunch!
Food is excellent and nice to have a non-chain restaurant in midtown.
This tiny pick up Mexican is delicious! Three men work in this tiny kitchen/spot on e43rd between Lexington & 3rd. I will DEFINITELY return to this spot.
15$ for 3 amazing tacos, best deal in the city
Love it here, get the triple meat bowl - meat is well seasoned and it’s a great deal for $14
Great food and great prices great location right next to grand central
Incredibly delicious food. No restaurant. Literally a hole in the wall, but worth it. No seats to si on, take out only.
Great tacos! Good price too
Got the bowl with birria meat and hot sauce on the side. It was amazing! Would definitely recommend for lunch.
The absolute best. The guys couldn’t be nicer. The most amazing food in NYC. You won’t be disappointed.
Birria tacos were some of the best I've ever had and the service was awesome. Check them out!!
Great tacos! Thanks for showing me this place, Andrew!
Consistently great food with great portion sizes as well!
Food was very good, good flavor. Had chicken tacos, side order of rice and black beans with an order of chips and guac. Very reasonably priced. Sorry no pictures, I ate it all and then realized 🤦 Food was made quickly (in a NY lunch minute) and everything made on the spot. Service very good. Will eat there again.
I didn’t know the phrase “hole in the wall” could be a literal expression until I ate here. As we were in line, another patron (who had already ordered I might add) tried to warn us away. He was very disappointed when we did not take his recommendation and continued to order anyway, now with more worry in our hearts than ever before. Since there was no seating, we went back to our hotel to eat. The food was a surprisingly good size and they did not skimp. We dug in with conviction. To be 100% honest I was terrified this food would give us the shits—the kind that flows through you like lava. But it didn’t! Which was good because there were 6 of us sharing 1 tiny bathroom. The food itself was actually really good. I personally enjoyed the chicken burrito. Quite a scrumptious flavor. Overall a shockingly good experience with a tiny New York restaurant.
Excellent! Portion Temp seasoning LOW SODIUM Taste all 💯 On point! Tiny lil space fishing out good food and great Service ! Be aware take out service ONLY !
One of the few reasonable priced taco places in midtown. I order for delivery to my job. My favorite part is when they send me these teeny tiny adorable little carrot cake muffins.
Nice place. Got the Al Pastor Soft Tacos and enjoyed them, very flavorful and a large portion consider they were only $13. Got food very quickly after ordering.
Our first night in NYC, my family and I found this place around the corner from our hotel room. I got the birria tacos and they were amazing! I haven't been able to find anything that compares where I live. 10/10 definitely recommend the birria tacos!
Small little counter right in the wall. You got to watch closely or you'll miss it. The most amazing birria taco I've had. I can't wait to go back to New York just to have those again.!
Awesome place to grab a fresh taco's, excellent biria (!!!), super nice and helpful owner. Go grab your lunch-to-go
Everything it was delicious, we love all the food the fresh and flavor . It’s a hole in the wall but it surprise us so much
I come every Tuesday, and I don’t even have to mention my order. They recognize their clients so well that they always remember my order and deliver it with care and efficiency.
Got a lunch takeout, very good very fresh!!
Couldn't say how pleased I was with Cinco de Mayo. I put in a last minute catering order for 30+ people and the staff handled it perfectly. Not only was the service great, but the food too was fantastic! Thank you so much!
Amazing Tacos!!! So good
This place has amazing authentic mexican food, and they make sure they’re customers are always happy with their food.
My order: - 3 tacos (pork w/tomatoes and lettuce) -Birria Tacos (very savory 3 tacos as well) I will say this might be the best Mexican food I’ve had in the city. They are super fast, very affordable, kind folks. Wonderful service. I’m so excited to try other things on their menu.
Super nice service. I got Three different tacos; chicken, pork, steak. I got all the toppings that were offered. And three different sauces. Everything was delicious. Price is good. And they were super courteous. I have been meaning to try this place because I walked by many times. I’m glad I went and I will go again.
Check it out. I got their birria tacos. My God it's phenomenal. I travel the US for work and lord have mercy this little hole in the wall does it right. The consume has a little spice to it while the taco shells still have a bit of crunch. Little lime for some zest. Mind you they don't have a seating area, but again hole in the wall, but by far the best hole in the wall I've tried in a long time.
Super burrito (i had it without rice) was really good. Steak was crispy and delicious, not chewy like most other spots.
A hole in the wall that is a needle in the haystack ; it’s place where servings are generous, the service is warm; the husband wife team are from Ecuador and they are so easy to converse with ; they modify the order per your taste; their vegetarian burrito , vegetarian tacos and nacho bowl are fresh and flavorful and come with lemon wedges; Love the spicy red sauce and flavorful green sauce.
This is a great place for some comfort food. A hidden gem where you can have a great meal without overpaying for it. I had the birria tacos and I loved them. If come here for the gram, maybe this is not your spot but if you are looking for something authentic, stop and try it. There is no place to sit so this is something you should keep in mind. However, two blocks away there is a beautiful park with tables and chair where you can enjoy your tacos.
The staff was very nice and helped me find the menu and pick a great lunch. I had the Barria quesadilla and will come back for more
Delicous authentic burritos, a bit on the pricey side but its worth it for the flavor
Best damn tacos I’ve had in a while omg. Literally PERFECT. I got the Tinga chicken tacos and CHEFS KISS 😮💨
I recommend this place is really good. The meat has a very good flavor. I tried the Steak quesadillaschicken tacos, and 🥩 tacos. I’ll give it a 10 out of 10.
One of the best birria tacos I’ve had. I’ve had a lot. Super fresh. Packed with flavor. Fast and friendly service. A must visit and I don’t do a lot of reviews.
Fresh and delicious. People working there super nice and helpful. It is literally a window you order at and there is no place to sit, so just be prepared to take it somewhere to sit down to eat.
Flavorful and wonderful. Take out only and as big as a closet, but the food is so authentic. Was visiting NYC and exactly what we hoped from a place like this. The guy behind the counter is a kind soul too.
I've created a mini fan club for this place through introductions. Staff members exceeded our expectations. This place won't overcharge you like others nearby. This place serves food that stands apart locally. The place delivers consistently.
Trust this recommendation and go to this restaurant today. Nothing surprised me about the flavors. I enjoyed the comfortable, friendly vibe. They're inconsistent with warmth but consistent with service. I definitely would love to come back here and try out other dishes.
This restaurant impresses every time. Staff display kindness and problem-solving skills. Their dishes taste noticeably good. They serve generous amounts at reasonable costs. Cinco de Mayo very consistently delivers joy.
The restaurant is literally a window. You order outside and there are no tables to sit at. However the food is amazing. I got the chicken quesadillas and you get 4 normal sized quesadillas for $13. The quesadillas were cooked perfectly, soft tortilla and not greasy. Would definitely come back but best to avoid on a super hot day. The wait is short and there is small table seating across the street. If you can’t get a table there is some public, there are some free plazas nearby.
One word…two languages… DELICIOUS/DELICIOSO! It’s a take out restaurant with an amazing authentic Mexican street food menu. I ordered and enjoyed 3 tacos Al Pastor, chips and guacamole. $20 bucks! Great value and taste. Great flavors and also nice service. The gentleman took my order and fulfilled it perfectly and was very friendly and personable. With so many places to choose from in the City, you should definitely choose this place!
Honestly if you want something quick, fresh and served with a friendly smile then this is the place to be!
The food is delicious, staff is friendly, very convenient and very reasonable!
The tacos are so fresh. The quantity of rice bowl is great!
Totally solid burrito, well priced, nothing to write home about. The best I’ve had in the area though. It’s just a window so you can’t sit.
It's only a take out place and they were really quick, despite having many orders. I got a burrito bowl, which was good but didn't quite make it to the top tier. The steak in a bowl tasted really good, but everything came together didn't blow me away. Overall, it's a nice option, but be prepared to struggle to find a seating space across the street.
The food was mid at best and tasted like every Mexican restaurant. Also the atmosphere was really dull but the service was nice and staff was kind.
The birria tacos were pretty flavorful, BUT for the most expenaive birria tacos I've had it wasn't giving ($16 for 3). Also, I feel that other places add a bit more to the taco like onions and a bit of pico. Lastly, they also automatically add cheese, which I don't like or eat and they didn't tell me about it. Usually those kind of tacos don't automatically come with cheese if I'm not mistaken. I usually don't write reviews...
Your average spot. I got a bowl definitely more meat then chipotle but you are like paying 20 bucks.
Attention is something that one values when arriving at a place, they seem that the last thing they want is to follow The cost of the product would be fine if the food were at 100, but a burrito with carrot and peas?????????? I would say that a burrito is the worst thing I could buy in this place.
This hole in the wall is garbage! Very rude workers and they don’t practice clean safety practices! I do not recommend! 👎🏼
This was the nastiest stuff I've ever eaten and I review a lot of food but this was tragic I should've known it was going to be nasty when I saw they had a buy 1 get 1 sale ugh so disgusting I threw up 3 times beware of this place its trash
Steak was too salty, I’m a Los Taco (136th Church St. Or 214 W. 43rd) fan & this place can not compare to Los Taco…total waste of $15 for 3 tacos & they charge extra $2 for guacamole which is crazy b/c Los Taco gives free guacamole & unlimited toppings. Worst part is they cook the steak BUT Los Taco Grill the steak. This pace advertise street taco but it’s far from street taco. Lesson learned never cheat on Los Taco again!! Stomach hurts & im heading to the toilet to release this mess. 🤢🤮
Looks great! Nasty 🤢the meat was Not 🫢 I had an upset stomach for days. Hopefully, no one else has the same experience
2 times they delivered food to me with someone else's name, I don't know how long it has been since people picked up their orders, the first time I didn't like it. the second time the food was in very poor condition. Very bad experience. Even if I'm hungry I won't buy here again
If you are a Texan and are used to great Tex Mex or Mexican food, simply do not even think about ordering from here. The burritos are mostly rice (bland rice), the salsa has sugar in it…. It’s SWEET sweet. The meat has no spices on it whatsoever. This was legitimately the worst Mexican food I’ve had anywhere in three decades.
Unfortunately, my visit to Cinco de Mayo was not a good experience. The service was very unprofessional, and it was difficult to communicate with the staff, which caused unnecessary delays. We waited nearly half an hour just to be acknowledged. The food was average at best and did not meet expectations at all. Considering the long wait and poor service, this place was a letdown. I won’t be coming back.
I had a very disappointing experience at Cinco de Mayo. The customer service was really poor, and communication was a big issue, which made ordering frustrating. We were made to wait almost 30 minutes before getting any help, even though the place wasn’t that busy. On top of that, the food was not very good and definitely not worth the wait. Overall, the service and food quality need serious improvement. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
