Pretty large "hamburger stand", with a bit of a 50's vibe. Lots of pictures of the original location and crew. The Wahlburger was a little greasy, but tasted very good. The fish sandwich was good and way to large for the roll.

Aesthetic: 5 stars Food: 2.5 stars We used to love this place when we lived in the area and recently visited for the first time in 4 years. The food definitely tasted different (the burgers seemed a different consistency, they were soggy and had to be eaten with utensils because of it, everything was more bland especially the Mac salad) but we’ll chalk it up to a fluke and try again someday. Husband said the root beer was still 10/10. Still an extremely aesthetically pleasing place to eat for that retro vibe.

Food was exactly how i ordered it tasted great hot & fresh only reason they didn't get a 5 star is because the manager talking to employees was annoying & negative in ftont of about 8 people waiting for food there's just things you don't say in front of customers POSITIVE VIBES ARE KEY

Tom Wahl's reminds me of SmashBurger...just a little. Good burgers and fries. Service here is good. The Zweigles are interesting. Finally tried them recently. Hearty hot dogs! Shakes are okay.

First time visit. Awesome dining atmosphere. Prices for basically fast food were a bit steep. We spent $40 on 2 happy hour floats, a garbage plate, and a fish dinner. (Neither meal came with a drink might I add.) I don't think we will be visiting again. Food was hot and fresh but okay at best.

The food wasn't bad but it was kind of expensive for what you got. The restaurant was a cute retro diner. When asked if the burger he ordered had tomato on it, the server gave my husband an attitude and kind of rolled her eyes. The homemade root beer was cloyingly sweet.

Way overpriced. The burgers were bland. The bun was pretty good though. The fries were bland as well. Asked for lettuce and pickles on the burger, didn't get any of that. Got a $2 root beer float because it was happy hour and that was really good and big. If I had to pay full price I wouldn't have got it. Doubt I'll ever be back, the food just wasn't that good for the price they charge.

They give you a crap ton of fries and a thin burger that’s 75% bun and sauce and barely seasoned. The root beer is amazing, so I will give them that. This place is way over priced though. It cost $90 for the five of us to eat dinner there tonight. Not worth it at all!

Burger was very cold, not enjoyable at all ask for cheese fries which had to be accommodated for because they only make chili chess fries. When they gave me the fries was sprinkled with barely any cheese and I asked about cheese sauce and wasn't told there wasn't any cheese sauce.
