Oyster Happy Hour!!! The best place to eat seafood in town. The oyster was incredibly fresh!!! Lovely experience, we will definitely be returning soon.

We have been here several times, mostly for the oysters which have always been very fresh and gorgeous. We have tried the oyster tasting platter which offers one the opportunity to try three different types of oysters and they were all excellent. I would positively recommend this place for seafood lovers. They also offer seafood to buy for home, we bought some fantastic extra large tiger prawns which were great after some quick pan-frying

Never been disappointed. Always well looked after and every meal has been beautiful. We love sitting at the bar watching the food be prepared. Wine selection is good too!

Highly recommend. I was really impressed with the tuna Ragu starter it was almost like mince but with that fresh tuna taste. The mussels were fantastic meaty and sweet not a chewy overcooked one in sight. The boys had the thai fish curry it smelt amazing big chunks of fish with a potion of jasmine rice our mussels came with a potion of thin chips I had a small handful and the boys had the rest. The sponge was heavenly, mum had the crème caramela personal, My brother had the chocolate mousse the berries were tasty and fresh the mousse was actually mousse like. Definitely one to try

The best creamy and tender oyster i ever had. Literally melting in your mouth. I kindly inquire their chef about the sauce on the side - simply mixed with shallot and red wine vinegar. I would never forget the splendid lobster as well. One of the few highest quality seafood bar in Newcastle I been over three times in one year.

Lovely spot in the main food hall. Very friendly service and oysters were superb. Go for the happy hour. Only negatives are the complete lack of windows / natural light which makes it feel like a gastronomical casino, although through no fault of their own; and the seats at the counter which are awkward and feel like they belong in Beverly Hills.

Love the food and how hygienic and great quality the food is. Loved the staff as well. Not the biggest fan of the table seating arrangements and the high chairs I feel that it disrupts the dining atmosphere. But the quality of fish is great. I’ve attached photos from two different days.

I love the cosy intimate atmosphere when sitting at the bar area. We were attended throughout with offers of drinks and sauces. I 100% recommend the oysters! They were fresh and local. The hake was thick, seasoned and the salsa was delicious.

From walking to the welcome desk, to leaving the restaurant, wow! The food was fresh, service amazing and every expectation was exceeded. Dale looked after us, gave recommendations and made sure we were happy with every aspect of the experience. We sat for a while and enjoyed a few courses, there was no rush or pressure. Their knowledge and experience is evident in the prep, cooking and taste. You 100% get what you pay for. Thank you for making our afternoon so special. We came for oysters, left with much more it was so nice.

A fabulous seafood restaurant in Fenwick's Food Hall. The service was excellent. We sat on high stools around a bar and enjoyed excellent prawns with mustard mayonnaise, plaice on a seafood broth and a grilled halibut fillet. The fish was cooked to perfection and really can't be faulted. Nice wine list and plenty of water. Highly recommend.

i had goujons to start, which were crispy, tender, and full of flavor, followed by XL prawns with fries for my main course. Both dishes were absolutely delicious—without a doubt the best seafood I’ve ever had. The quality of the food, the portion sizes, and the freshness really stood out and made the whole experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great seafood.

Fish doesn’t get better than this. The freshest you can possibly get with impeccable combinations of flavours. The staff are also so knowledgeable and helpful

Ate here this evening and was blown away. Food was incredible, some of the best in the north east by far. Eucklid & Kamile looked after us and the service they provided was second to none, the depth of knowledge they had about produce and wines stretched beyond impressive, and they made sure it was an experience to remember.

What a brilliant place! Spent the day in Newcastle and was delighted to find this seafood restaurant for a magnificent lunch. Very surprised to find it in the food hall of a department store (Fenwick's) but very glad we did. Food was superb and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The open kitchen meant that we could watch our food being prepared and the fishmonger section added interest as there was a huge variety of fish available to take home and cook (if you live in Newcastle, which we don't). The only very slight issue was that the food is served at a bar and the barstools are quite high for a small person. Will certainly visit again when we are next in Newcastle.

Me and my friend had the best experience, hands down the best fish and chips I’ve had literally THE BEST. Chef Dave is such a master of his craft and it was an honour watching him everything from scratch to the beautiful meal that was served to us both. We were also given the best service and the best wine pairing was provided to us. Overall a wonderful experience would definitely visit there again!!!

My favorite place. If you’re a seafood lover in Newcastle, this place is a must! Everything is fresh and full of flavor. The food is amazing and the staff are warm, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We also love the cozy but busy department store ambience. Highly recommended and we'd like to thank Dale and Sophie for looking after us. It was 9 darter service.

XL king prawns were amazing! As you can see from the picture, they are XL. Bit fiddly as they are skewered & covered in sauce, so you have to peel cautiously as not to splatter yourself in the sauce. however that would not stop me from ordering it again.

We popped by without a booking and were able to take a couple of seats at the counter. The staff were friendly and attentive. As a gluten free diner I often get a bit nervous about asking about available options. The team here were fantastic and did everything they could to accommodate. Will definitely return

The seafood here is exquisite, beautifully cooked, and absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend the razor clams, lobster and giant prawns. It was also lovely sitting at the bar to see the expert preparation and cooking. Would absolutely come back, and would (and already have) highly recommend.

A lovely first visit trying out their Newcastle Restaurant Week menu. Impressed, delicious food, great service. Enjoyed the best chocolate mousse I’ve ever had!

Had the fruits de mer last month and I have to say it was as good as the one we had at Rick Steins restaurant in Padstow. Will definitely be back.

Had a fantastic lunch with some truly amazing dishes. The Fish market stew name doesn't do this dish justice with a super selection of fish in a fabulous sauce. Staff where very friendly and attentive. Will be back.

We booked this placed after reading the reviews and we were a little turned off when we arrived and realised it's located inside Fenwick's food hall,but we decided to give it a try and I'm so glad we did. Everything was perfect! The service was nice and attentive,the prices were good but speaking about the most important part, the food was amazing! We went for the fixed price menu and we were expecting smaller than normal portions,but we got large dishes, perfectly cooked with nice,balanced flavours. Even the dessert was perfectly prepared! Being passionate about cooking and fine dining I was delighted to watch the skilled chefs preparing our meals and it was a nice experience overall. I highly recommend this place!

Came here for an anniversary dinner and the service was beyond brilliance. The food was fresh and amazingly prepared, cooked to perfection. And a wonderful waitress made the experience so comfortable and enjoyable, suggesting a wine which paired beautifully with our meal. She constantly made sure we were happy with the food and engaged in such a nice conversation. I believe her name was Kate or Katie and she definitely made the overall visit perfect

Excellent service nice place think it's a casual place it's nice lively clean and tidy liked the bar seats with the kitchen in the center it's inside Fenwick food hall there is also a steak house it is pricy but it's kind of worth it they serve a large selection off alcohol and all sorts off sea food you can also buy to take home and make it your self

Located within the food court of Fenwick department store. Ordered Hake which is very soft juicy fish just a bit salty to me. This is a busy restaurant mainly serve all day menu up to 6lm every day. Reservation is recommended.

We were recommended this restaurant for good oysters in Newcastle. I ordered 2 happy hour Lindisfarne oysters, 1 each of the 3 other oysters on the Blackboard, and a special Calabrian Chilli and Crispy Shallots oyster. For someone who wanted to try the selection the restaurant had, I'd say it was worth the money, but I have to admit £4.50 per oyster is steep. The Lindisfarne oysters were salty, but it could've been from the ice because I did catch a salt crystal or two in my mouth. It was still yummy, and £2 per oyster is a great deal for happy hour. The oyster topped with the chilli and bawang goreng was meh. Which made the £6 pounds ever heavier. And it was recommended by the waiter! Oh well, it was an experience nonetheless. I'm grouping the Isle of Mull and Whitstable oysters together because I honestly can't recall the taste except that they were briney and okay. I LOVED the Cumbrae oyster. Sweet, briney, and rich. A fine specimen of an oyster. I loved it with just a bit of lemon and a dash of Tabasco. YUMZ.

Front of house friendly but respectful and helpfully explained in detail the dishes making it easier to choose. The fruit de mers which came with excellent oysters and perfectly cooked scallops. I'm not sure I would add the lobster next time; it's a little disappointing.

A bit busy for a relaxing lunch really (due to so many shoppers going past) but the food was fantastic. We weren't told when we booked that the shared seafood platter should be ordered in advance, so that was disappointing.

Went for Happy hour (Oysters £1.50 each) which is good value for money. Other dishes (we had mussels and Fries and Jumbo Prawns in chilli and garlic) were at best average, eaten better at home and other eateries at a fraction of the cost. Drinks hugely over-priced. Will return for Oysters but will go on somewhere else for mains.

50+ minute wait for food. Everyone else served before us, who entered after. Staff couldn’t identify which dishes were allergy free, additionally fsiling to raise the question upon arrival. One person on main courses in kitchen, expect a slow service. No resolution offered by restaurant after complaining. Very disappointed in my experience. Won’t be going back. Wouldn’t waste your time, overrated.

I came here at 5:40 pm and they're supposed to close at 6:30 pm. They turned us away and said something about the last seating is at 5:15 or something. The initial man we spoke to was going to get me a menu, then he whispered something to his supervisor or owner, not sure, and they said we r closing. I had a hijab on, so I suspect if racism or discrimination had anything to do with it. We struggled to find the place for a good 20 mins we walked all over the mall. They didn't give us any option to take away food. Far as I know, cooking seafood usually only seconds for things like shrimp and 6 minutes for things like salmon steak. Very dissapointed.
