⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ A dreamy European-style spot in Newport Beach serving exceptional food!!!! Casa Damí completely exceeded our expectations during our tapas date night! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like stepping into a slice of Europe — ocean breeze, harbor views with yachts gently docked, and even the cutest classic Fiat Jolly parked outside setting the scene. La dolce vita in full effect. 😍 We enjoyed some of the best tapas and cocktails we’ve had in a long time. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, and the wine selection is next-level. Huge shoutout to Alan, their in-house sommelier, who is incredibly knowledgeable and guided us to the perfect pairing — we had no idea we’d end up reconnecting over wine this much, but that’s the magic of this place! The service is impeccable — warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You don’t just feel like a guest here; you feel taken care of. Between the chic European-inspired ambiance, the stunning marina views, and the outstanding food and wine, Casa Damí has officially become one of our favorite date-night spots. Bonus: the patio is absolutely beautiful and pet-friendly, making it even more special. Already dreaming of our next visit! ✨🍷🇮🇹🇫🇷🇪🇸 What we ordered (and every single one was absolutely delicious): Cocktails: • BICICLETTE – Bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with blood orange and rhubarb; such a crisp, elevated sip. • LIMONCELLO SPRITZ – Light, citrusy, and beautifully effervescent — the definition of a “vacation in a glass.” Tapas: • SCALLOPS – saffron risotto, blistered cherry tomato, herb tuile. To die for! The scallops were incredibly fresh and buttery, and the risotto was rich, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. Truly a standout dish. • PAN CON TOMATE – Simple yet gourmet; the tomatoes taste so fresh and vibrant, layered over perfectly crisp bread. • CROQUETAS – serrano ham, manchego. Creamy, savory, and indulgent — each bite felt like a little luxury. • EMPANADAS – beef, Calabrian chili. Flaky on the outside, juicy and flavorful inside, with just the right touch of heat. Comforting but elevated. Dessert (do not skip!): • OLIVE OIL CAKE – meyer lemon, mascarpone cream, blackberry coulis. Light, moist, and beautifully balanced — citrusy, creamy, and not too sweet. The perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. ✨ Highly recommend: Casa Damí is a must-visit destination for its impeccable service, exceptional food and wine, and beautiful atmosphere — perfect for date nights, evenings with friends, celebrations, or any special occasion. 🍷💫
After spending the day on Catalina Island my husband and I did a quick search for dinner and Casa Damí popped up. The menu caught our attention because we both love Spanish food. We figured it was a Spanish restaurant (it is not). We arrived with no reservation and no expectations. We we're fortunate to be given a spot at the bar , but before we were sat down they found out we were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary. They pulled out Champagne glasses and served us some sparkling rosé (ferrari, really good). At first I was hoping a table would open up, but I'm so glad we ended up having our dinner at the bar because every single employee went above and beyond to create a great experience. We felt very well taken care of. Besides the amazing service and welcoming atmosphere (also great music); let's move on to the amazing food! As I mentioned we thought it was a Spanish restaurant, but I will call it an eclectic European experience in Newport beach that transports you. The owner is Italian, the wine list has no Spanish wines( they should consider some good cava like Gramona or Juve y Camps) but they have a great selection of Italian and French wines which we enjoyed. The food is Spanish tapas with a twist. The chef is Filipino and he is amazing( our compliments to the chef ) We may have ordered one of each on the menu. Well worth it! We started with the jamon iberico (it was served at the proper temperature and it melts in your mouth, I wanted more) We had the patatas bravas, croquetas, the truffle bikini, pan con tomate...The star was the tuna! So so good I can't even describe it. The gambas we're also delicious and the sauce they are served with is devine. My husband enjoyed the creme brulee and I enjoyed the olive oil cake with a yummy espresso martini. Thank you for creating a memorable dinner experience!
Phenomenal flavors all around—perfectly cooked steak and absolutely amazing scallops. The affogato was also quite good. Service was excellent and very attentive; the only downside is that it can be a bit on the pricey side.
Perfection. I felt like I had been transported back to a little seaside cafe in Europe. Everyone we interacted with made it abundantly clear that they wanted your experience to be unique and perfect. Our 5 choice charcuterie board was spot on: prosciutto de Parma, aged manchego, double cream Brie, Spanish chorizo and salami with focaccia and apricot jam. Every bite made you stop and just savor the moment. An excellent white wine was selected by their sommelier for my daughter and I indulged in their bright and refreshing Amaro Mojito. You MUST try their Olive Oil Cake! So rich and surprising. Perfectly paired with a mint tea and cappuccino. We were treated to one last perfect touch when the sommelier brought out a Vermouth di Italia that transported me right back to the balcony overlooking the canals of Venice. CasaDami has added a much needed touch of uniqueness to the Newport Beach food scene.
I'd like to give it 6 stars, but the maximum is 5. To start: The restaurant is super well located, just one block from the beach and on the peninsula, so it's easy to find parking. The restaurant has a very cozy terrace and also tables inside plus bar (it's a smaller space than the terrace). The design is super well thought out; you can appreciate every detail they wanted to convey with the concept of a “European restaurant”, even the playlist gave good vibes and good mood. The dinner menu has very appetizing options (you won't know which to choose because everything looks delicious). Our waiter Evan, super friendly and helpful, recommended some options, which were very accurate. The manager, also a sommelier, recommended a red wine "Crown Point" to my husband; that recommendation was very accurate since my husband loved it! I highly recommend trying it. On the other hand, if you don't have time to fly to Spain to eat a real Iberian ham, I honestly recommend visiting this place; their Iberian ham is delicious and very good quality! We tried several items from the menu, everything was very tasty, and the prices are reasonable, nothing crazy! I will definitely be back for Brunch this weekend.
First and foremost, I cannot rave enough about the level of service and care that is shown at this restaurant. We were fortunate to have Ivan as our waiter for the night, who is very very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, dishes and ingredients, and the restaurant itself. While having a conversation with my friend, the manager overheard me speaking about tequila shots and a waiter graciously brought shots on the house. I was amazed at the level of attentiveness paid by the staff and management. On top of that, the dishes themselves were delicious and refreshing. We ordered the burratina, steak, crudo, and meatballs. The lemon cello spritz is one of the best I’ve ever had. And we finished off the night with Affogato and a crème brûlée, the Former which was graciously comped after I had told the staff that we were celebrating a special occasion. In all the food here is amazing but the service is what really blew me away and I would 100% come back here and bring my friends and family as well.
I really like this place but I just went in for a wine and a small bite. I thought it’s interesting that really all they have are small bites. They don’t have big entrées, but I’m OK with that. They have an excellent wine list like a really really well curated wine list. I sat at the bar, which is really nice, but I think sitting outside is the ticket and I could see going to this place with a group of friends sitting outside having champagne, wine, charcuterie I think that’s a hot ticket here so I’m giving it five stars for now Because I just really enjoyed it, but I haven’t had enough of their food to really rate it properly.

This place has such a relaxed yet elevated vibe. We had: -Dami (salad) -Truffle bikini (sandwiches) -Empanadas -Cabernet-Merlot Tenuta San Guido "Guidalberto" Our servers Nick and Maggie were delightful! What an amazing first time experience! Music was great too! This restaurant is new (opened Mar 1, 2025). Worth coming back!
My husband and I went for an anniversary brunch and had an amazing experience! Victor, our server, was so attentive and kept checking on us throughout our meal. He even offered us champagne to celebrate our anniversary, which made it feel extra special. The service was wonderful, and the food was great. We truly felt taken care of. We’ll definitely be coming back!:)
got this place recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint! The ambiance was amazing sitting by the fire pit, we tried the scallops and Chicken Milanese and they were so tasty!! Our server Claire was so accommodating and helpful with the menu and giving us the best recommendations, will definitely be back!!
Our dining experience was defined by a level of culinary sophistication and rich flavor that was truly exceptional. The meal began with perfectly prepared empanadas, followed by a wagyu flat iron steak that was notably tender and bursting with savory notes. The drink pairings were expertly curated, from the innovative pinot noir espresso martini to a dessert wine chosen to complement the final course. The service was impeccable and highly personalized. A server's keen eye and extensive knowledge of the menu, particularly the bar offerings, impressed us when they noticed a tattoo and recommended a customized espresso martini. This attention to detail elevates the experience and makes diners feel especially valued. Our celebration was capped off with a remarkable olive oil cake. Its bright, zesty flavor profile was beautifully balanced by a rich blackberry compote and mascarpone cheese, making it a perfectly memorable conclusion. The restaurant's atmosphere strikes a unique balance, combining the impeccable decor and refined offerings of a fine dining establishment with the comfortable and inviting ambiance of a high-end coffee shop.
Alan is literally the star of the show, always so hospitable and always knows how to take care of us every time we come the food is remarkable and drinks are fantastic. Vibe is perfect. It’s a great place to be every weekend for breakfast and brunch
We stumbled upon this as were strolling around Newport Beach looking for a nice place to eat. We wanted to avoid the touristy spots close to the beach. We were lucky to have been seated almost immediately even without a reservation. Yes, highly recommend reserving Cocktails, wine and the food were terrific. The patio seating is really nice overlooking the marina Service is excellent and they try to accommodate and or customize based on your dietary restrictions, if any. Good for a date night or a small group dinner Overall it's an amazing restaurant
We came for my husband’s birthday dinner and WOW! One of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. I have celiac and have to eat strictly gluten free so I’m always a little nervous at trying somewhere new but they went above and beyond. We ordered (all gluten and pork free) -charcuterie-subbed bread with apple slices for me and gave us a 3rd cheese instead of the pork -gambas -waygu flat iron cut -octopus -dessert affogato All the cocktails can be made into mocktails as well. BRAVA! Can’t wait to come back for another special occasion!

The food portions were small and the taste was just okay. I didn’t like the Chicken Milanese — it was tasteless and dry. However, the Burratina salad and Empanadas were delicious! I also loved the beautiful atmosphere, and the Olive Oil Cake was amazing!
Food was very good.made with quality ingredients. My favorite was truffle eggs Benedict. But 4 stars because the steak had really bad old blood smell and taste to it so I couldn’t eat it. Otherwise everything was good and I would go back again.
Overall, great experience. They're just getting going, so I feel there are some logistics to be figured out. Beautiful space, but it was a bit loud, so prepare to use your voice :) we sat inside. Outside space is very pleasant as well. Choice of music was super fun, but volume a bit high. Tried many of the dishes, and they were generally good. The ricotta, empenadas, burrata and potatoes were the favorites. The shrimp were large but a bit too fishy. Overall, it was very flavorful. The tapas need to be served with more bread or crackers - we had to ask for additional servings. Also note: There is no liquor license, but the wine options were great. Took a while for the drinks to come out. For dessert, we tried several: creme Brule, chocolate fondue and olive cake. They were all great.. creme Brule was the most favorite.

great food. wonderful staff! i got the fondue which was wonderful. however, they used lady fingers for the fondue which was not good. lady fingers need to be soaked into liquid for hours like with tiramisu. they were hard even when sitting in the fondue for a while. they need to use pound cake or something else besides lady fingers.
Really cool spot with good vibes. They decorated nicely for the holidays. Hostess greeted us and sat us down promptly. From there the service kinda went down hill. Our server was in the middle of introducing himself and randomly left to go sit other guest. We didn’t get to enter in our first order until 10 ish minutes after we sat. Our meal was brought out at separate times. By the time my fiancée got her meal my food was cold. It is a nice spot but service was hit and miss.

If you’ve ever been to a lounge in an airport that serves free food, this is that food. Pieces of normal bread with mashed up tomatoes on top. Frozen potatoes that were re-heated and squirted with sauce. Dry scallops that have been sitting under a heat lamp. If these were free food items, ok great. They are not though. They are on a menu next to $2000 bottles of wine. The atmosphere is nice. Server was great. Hostess booth seems eternally behind/confused. Live music in the patio area was an added plus.

BEWARE OF THEFT!! After paying our bill we left a cash tip, and they decided to add their own tip to the credit card I put down. Disputed with my credit card immediately. CHECK YOUR CHARGE HISTORY!!!

Overpriced and underwhelming. The food (only tapas) was nothing special, and the “grande” cheese and charcuterie board tasted like Trader Joe’s quality at triple the price. Drinks were watered down, and for a place that calls itself a wine bar, the wine selection was disappointing—just a few unremarkable Italian wines with little variety. Service was mediocre at best. We ordered sparkling water, and at some point, the server walked by and refilled it with flat water, turning it into sad tap water. Cute ambiance, but that’s about it.
Stopped by today hoping to grab a coffee after spending the morning at the beach. When I walked in, the host looked me up and down before telling me the barista was no longer there. While that’s completely understandable, the initial greeting felt dismissive. As a local visitor dressed appropriately for the beach, I would have appreciated a more welcoming interaction or a note at the front; only people with White skin and blue eyes are welcome 😂
Absolutely unacceptable experience. We had just ordered wine and caviar and were already settled, when staff told us we had to either leave or move inside because a “bigger party” was coming and they wanted our table. We were pushed aside as if we didn’t matter. To make things worse, this was our anniversary. At the beginning of the evening, staff acknowledged it and mentioned they would bring something special at the end. Not only did that never happen, they completely forgot altogether. So much for making a special occasion feel special. We were paying customers, actively ordering, and treating us as disposable simply because someone else might spend more is incredibly rude. It was impolite, unprofessional, and frankly embarrassing for a place that tries to present itself as upscale. This left a really bad taste and we definitely won’t be going back. Customer service like this is unacceptable.
