This is my second time here at Doña Luisa's. Ordered for carry out. To say the food is great is an understatement 😋. Unbelievably fresh, freshly made, not frozen, the atmosphere and their service are amazing. My family and I have a new favorite to go restaurant! Prompt service by Doma. Wonderful food! The albóndigas soup is as good as claimed. The smothered chimichanga is decadent and delicious. Even the simple Chile relleno and cheese enchilada was excellent. Highly recommended!

1st time here. Totally satisfied by the meal. The pictures with the plate, is from the regular menu. There Is also a lunch special menu, until 4 PM. It is filling.. and quite delicious to my taste. The restaurant is big inside, Not sure what the capacity is but there is a separate room in the back, can Accommodate a large party.

First time coming here food and service was amazing! The salsa that they give you with the chips and salsa is delicious! Taste very authentic and homemade which I really enjoy being that I make all my salsa from scratch. Love the atmosphere in there and all their paintings and decoration.

Have been coming here for a long time, the food is great. Happened to look at check when I got home, and at the very bottom it states: if you use a credit card a fee of 3% will be added to the check, how many places charge you a fee for card purchases? It should be part of the cost of doing business. So make sure to bring lots of cash

This place has some great food! Always on point and packed with plenty of flavor. I had the shrimp taco and vegetarian burrito each time. Would have given them 5 stars but it’s an older Hispanic lady that works in the front that seems to always have an attitude, like she doesn’t want to be there or doesn’t like African Americans. Outside of that, all of the other staff members were very nice and pleasant

Went here because my sister loves Mexican food and it was her birthday. They did a great job with the decorations. The walls and even the tables are covered with Mexican art. There was also Spanish music playing. It's a long wait for the food to be prepared, so the chips and salsa were appreciated. When our server noticed that our chips and my sister's water were gone, she was quick to refill them. When the food came out, the portions were impressively big, big enough for us to have leftovers to take home. I thought my burrito tasted salty when I took the first bite. I thought I might be imagining it, but when I ate the leftovers later I thought the same thing. Maybe because it was so cheesy? So if you're watching your sodium, this might not be so great. At the same time, it wasn't spicy, so I'm glad they had 2 different hot sauces and a shaker of red peppers available on the table so you can adjust the spiciness. I ordered the vegetarian burrito, but it was more bean and cheese than veggies and definitely not vegan. There was a tiny bit of greens put to one side outside of the burrito. So I liked the atmosphere and the portions, not so much the saltiness of my burrito that I also wish had more greens.

This place is certainly a local favorite. Servers were familiar with the customers and there was lots of talking and laughing. Very good service and good food as well. Prices are also good and a good variety on the menu.

We usually come here for my son’s birthday and have had good experiences in the past. This visit was a pre-approved party of 8 (6 kids, 2 adults). Our waiter was excellent. He handled a large group professionally, corrected issues immediately when brought to his attention, applied a military discount to my meal, and was upfront about refills being charged. Unfortunately, this visit had several issues that will likely prevent us from returning. Prices have increased significantly, and for a family birthday dinner, the overall value no longer felt reasonable. One of my daughter’s taco meals was initially forgotten and had to be addressed during the meal. There were also food quality inconsistencies. After the visit, my wife mentioned that one of our daughter’s rice tasted burnt, and the shrimp she ordered had a frozen or previously frozen taste. While some items were fine, multiple food issues across the table made the overall quality feel inconsistent for the price. There were sanitation concerns as well. A very large roach was at the front entrance and frightened my children. Later, a baby roach was found inside one of the take-out boxes. When I asked for a replacement, the waiter immediately threw it away and replaced it without hesitation. Additionally, there were billing and checkout transparency concerns. An automatic 18% large-party gratuity was included, which I understand. However, when paying using the phone checkout option, the system still prompted for an additional tip (15%, 18%, or 20%) even though the gratuity was already included, which could easily lead to double tipping if you are not paying close attention. The receipt also notes a 3% fee for credit card use, and since I paid with a debit card, it was not clear during checkout how that fee applied. The staff handled issues professionally, but food quality inconsistencies, cleanliness concerns, higher prices, and payment transparency issues outweigh the positives for our family. Because of that, despite celebrating here in the past, I don’t see us coming back.

The food was ok,but it was definitely not authentic Mexican cuisine. My husband said his menudo was ok he's had much better. My son said his burrito was dry. My tacos were also dry, and the meat was overcooked. The beans tasted like they were from the can. The service was good and the restaurant seemed to be clean.

For the last four time I've ordered food to go and our order was either wrong or was missing something. That many times in a row is not a good restaurant. I'm going to give them one more chance and if they get wrong again I won't be coming back, ever. Thank You.

Came in for a quick beer and appetizer. Ordered an horchata and carne asada nachos. The horchata was rancid and the nachos came with no carne asada, canned refried beans and drenched in crema. The bottle of modelo was the highlight of our meal! Very nice staff, subpar food.

I went there with my husband. When we walked in it took at least 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. A waiter said he'd be with us in a minute. Nothing. Then a waitress said she'd be with us shortly. We sat down and 15....15 minutes later we were seated. There were plenty of free tables too. 10 minutes being seated and we finally got our order in for drinks. When the waiter came back we gave our order for food. It took 45 minutes to an hour to get our food . I ordered an enchilada and hard shell taco. I got a Chile relleno and the taco. Food tasted like grease and no flavor. My husband ordered a carne asada and it also lacked in flavor. We left unhappy and were sick for 2 days 😡
