The entire staff was great. Met Edgar the manager. He runs a great restaurant. Enjoyed my meal. Have been back twice since 1st visit. Great place!!!
Love this Pappa's it's calm and the service is great! I get the cheese burger. It never disappoints. Also the Mac and Cheese is elite!!!
Use to hit the drive thru when I was in Hs, now bringing my kids here. Food does not disappoint!! Friendly staff, amazing bbq and their Mac n cheese, potato salad, and fries are YUM!!! We all shared everything cause it was all SO amazing.
Update: Appreciate Edgar and team making our experience so so much better than our last. Food was hot & fresh & tast amazing. They are definitely back as one of our favorite restaurants. Thanks for your professionalism & awesome customer services! The Jefferson Received soggy cold burgers almost $60. Manager(Francisco )said they were out of patties and couldn't remake...son went after he got off and guess what! They did have patties for burgers! Dude straight out lied! We were regulars at this location...screwed me out of burger night...
Love this place. The baked potatoes were huge and yummy. Good tea too.
We went on Thanksgiving and it was PACKED! They did a fantastic job managing the crowds and the food was delicious!
Great food as always, the price is great. Workers there are all very friendly ♡
Listen! You listening? I went to Pappas Bar-B-Q and ordered the full rack of baby back ribs. The ribs were so good I called 911 and told them that someone had robbed me. After answering the questions, I realized that I had to hang up because I was giving them the description of myself (jk). These ribs are actually my favorite when I do visit Pappas. They are so flavorful along with the cream corn. I also want to mention that the customer service is A+ at this particular location. If you have a chance stop by make sure you mention the guy who got robbed for his plate. 🙂
Everything was delicious! The pork ribs are delicious, and the brisket was tender with good flavor! Always come back for more.
My wife and I go there often and everytime we go we are Amazed by how fast they have the line go. Jacory cleaning the tables is fast and efficient. He always goes the extra step to ask if we need anything. Maria behind the counter is so nice and always remembers my order. Edgar the manager runs an amazing staff.
I love eating here! Every time we come in town we stop in. The potatoes are huge and the food is always delicious! We did Pappas catering meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was perfect! It was so easy to call in our order and pick it up for our set time. The food was amazing and we had plenty for leftovers.
Rodeo Feast is amazing. Wish they'd bring ice cream machine back
I got the stuffed baked potato and they were still huge like i remember! The topped it with plenty of brisket and did not forget anything! The lady at the drive thru was amazing!
New to Spring Texas...Pappas BBQ was SO good !! Had the marbled brisket...great smoky flavor w/ awesome bark and the sausage was great w/ the tangy mustard sauce. GET THE YAMS...THE BEST EVER ;)
Placed a $130 order 45 min before going there, and they had everything ready. Tacos were delicious
A great. Place to get some great barbecue service service is pretty damn good and the atmosphere is also pretty good. Quiet, you can have a good conversation. With your significant other or with family members. Or with business Partners, it is a great place to go.
My coworkers and I ordered takeout, and the experience was extremely frustrating. When I picked up the order, several items were missing. Thankfully, I had printed receipts because I had to explain and verify multiple items with the staff. My meal included bread and two sides, as clearly stated on the website, and I also paid for an additional side. The bread was missing, and one side was not included. Despite showing the receipt and explaining that these were selections—not notes—I was told it wasn’t included because it didn’t print on their ticket. I was even told I would need to pay again for the bread. The manager became defensive and repeatedly accused me of “coming at her,” even though I was calmly asking for clarification. Eventually, the bread was provided, but the extra side I paid for was still missing. When we returned to work, the food was cold, the green beans were undercooked, and fries had to be reheated. Given that my bill was $51 and my coworkers spent similar amounts, this was unacceptable. Between the mediocre food and the rude, unprofessional attitude of the manager, none of us will be returning.
It’s hard to find BBQ places that have smoked ham. This place has it and it was great! I had the ham po’boy with fries and I couldn’t finish it. My wife had the bbq stuffed potato and it too was huge! Big portions here! Plenty of parking outside and lots of space inside to sit. We’ll definitely be coming back. Keep up the work Pappa’s BBQ!
I have been dining in for years at this location & lately the food & service has been better than ever! Keep doing a spectacular job pappas bbq at Conroe!
I visited the location in Conroe Texas which is in a strip shopping center across from The Woodlands Mall. I wanted some BBQ 🍖 but on the light side since Thanksgiving was yesterday. I choose the chef salad 🥗 which comes with sausage, ham and brisket. The salad was large and fresh and the meat 🥩 was well seasoned. The staff was friendly and they do have a fairly large dining room for eating in. We choose takeout . I would go back.
Ramon, went over beyond with customer service. As soon as I walked into this location I was greeted from afar by Ronald with a smile. What a great customer service after a long day.
UPDATE: I used to loving coming here but the portions are half the size for double the price. I paid over $20 bucks for this last night. I ordered a chopped baker all the way and this is not what it’s supposed to look like either and doesn’t taste the same. No sour cream or bacon. Where’s the smoky BBQ flavor I used to love? I haven’t been here in 2 years and I’m not coming back. Please see pic. I’d give 0 stars if I could. The smoked brisket doesn't even need sauce. LOOOOVE the bbq and the breakfast tacos are generous portions.
What more can I say, I really like this place! The customer service is excellent, the food is good. The menu is offers a good variety of chicken, brisket, and ribs. If you’re looking for a good BBQ place with great customer service, this is the place to try!
Excellent place for Texas BBQ. I would eat here at least once a week if I lived within 50 miles of it. Seriously. You can see the prep room while you wait to order and I picture heaven looking like it. You order and are served cafeteria style and then the condiments are on a serve yourself bar. I went here for lunch and got brisket, ham, coleslaw and macaroni & cheese. Seriously good food.
I could find nothing wrong with my experience here. I had a chopped beef brisket and pulled pork Poboy and the guys had pulled pork sandwiches with fries. Everything was delicious. You can watch them the ribs in the windows by the smokers and the counter service was friendly and prompt. The menus huge and easy to read .
Excellent! I was craving g a baked potato. I stopped here for lunch. It was absolutely the best potato I have had in a decade. I got pork for the meat. It was tender and moist but I think the amount was to sparse for the money I paid. They could have at least filled the little cup up instead it was only half full of the pork. Now I paid an additional 4.00 for that meat. I loved the potato very much it was delicious.
I ordered the side package with turkey and brisket for Thanksgiving and it did not disappoint! The quality of each dish was amazing! It made the holiday so much easier and enjoyable. The pick up was well organized and the staff were very helpful.
Pappas Bar-B-Q is one of my go-to spots when I’m craving something good and consistent. Their pulled pork sandwich is always tender and full of flavor, and the hand cut fries are the perfect match for it. The service is quick, the food comes out hot, and the place always feels welcoming. I’ve eaten here more times than I can count and it never disappoints. Five stars every time.
I’ve been coming to this Pappas BBQ in The Woodlands for about 15 years, and this last visit really stood out in the best way. The food was tasty, the staff was friendly, and the vibe was just right. I ran into a little issue since they don’t accept phone tap-to-pay on their POS system, so I couldn’t complete my payment with my phone, but Hugo, the manager, seriously saved the day. BIG shout-out to him! He was incredibly kind, helpful, and made sure we still had a great experience. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests. We left full and happy. Definitely coming back, and please bring back the ice cream machine, my kids still ask about it!
Has The Best fried fish in Houston, I always get there bacon cheese burger. Not today! Tried the catfish sandwich with cheese no pickles and no coleslaw and it was Absolutely Delicious. This is a MUST try for the first time. I love the restaurant is nice and clean. Customer service is great and friendly.
Our family has tried literally every BBQ place within 200 miles of here. My kids always ask if we can go back to Papas. WE ❤️❤️ it. We all like the sliced brisket extra lean. Today for the first time, I tried a pulled pork sandwich and it was only $8.95. My husband likes the sliced brisket sandwich covered in barbecue sauce. One kid likes sliced brisket with a side of macaroni and cheese and a side of beans. My other kid, the picky kid, likes the barbecue chicken and brisket plate. Everyone leaves happy and full. I we have never had to wait in line more than one minute. Order at the counter and when it’s ready, they will bring it out to you, but usually no more than a few minutes. My only complaint is that the sodas are very expensive. You could literally add another $20 onto your bill if everyone gets a drink. They have a table for help yourself, barbecue sauce, pickles, onions, peppers to add to the sandwiches. They also have spicy hot mustard in addition to the barbecue sauce. In the past I have gotten wings and ribs. Everything is tasty. People are extremely friendly. I am shocked when I read these reviews… I have never had a bad experience here, never had a bad meal here. I have never had anyone be anything but nice at all times. Sometimes I wonder if people’s expectations for these types of restaurants are too high. These people work really hard and we’ve always had a great experience! It’s on our monthly rotation of restaurants. They have a drive through also. These people stayed OPEN during the entire pandemic, serving customers with a smile. It’s hard to understand why people are so harsh sometimes. This place is VERY DELICIOUS 😋
Excellent food and service. Definitely recommend the waitress was very attentive. Always made sure that our food and drinks were filled. Wonderful steak night

We come here all the time! The only place I can find beef back ribs!! \nSometimes my order is wrong but it is still worth it
This place is pretty darn good, the chicken was just perfect for me , not dry not to juicy just perfect, the sides pretty good...the price not bad at all... the dessert was excellente, the small issue was customer service...the lady who process your order was a little moody and she seemed upset..but this place is worth returning..
Just don't gonna hour before close. And the baked beans were not 'balex beans' but simply pinto beans with bacon bits. Food was ok but not worth the prices IMO. 3 adults and a child came to $130
It’s not common knowledge that Pappas BBQ is a great spot to get burgers and fries! The cheeseburger is double meat, double cheese on a toasted bun with all the desired fixings you might like. I added bacon because ..well..BACON! 🥓… ask for the fries crispy.. they still won’t be crispy like McDonalds fries but that’s because these are made from potatoes. It’s home cut fries like mama used to make. Next time I will ask for extra seasoning on the fries as the fries that had the seasoning were amazing.

Needs tap to pay. I wasted a bunch of time by driving to the other side of town to find out y'all don't have tap to pay. I ended up getting literally nothing.
The workers had no idea what they were doing, They served me, but didn't put in my husband's order. We stood at the cashier's place for 10 minutes....they never asked us to pay for our orders. So we decided to find a table, they had given us a light up order detector....but since they failed to actually place my husband's order. It wasn't going to work properly. My husband ended up back at the cashier, and asked them about his order, they realized they forgot to put in his order, and the fact they didn't charge us for our order. This was a Friday evening, and the restaurant wasn't that busy inside, but drive through orders were very busy. We won't go back to the Spring location again.
Mediocre BBQ by Texan standards. The beef brisket was the best, but ribs were tough and turkey was bland. Nice potato size. But I would have expected better from the area. Service was slow too.
I didn't get my side I paid for, I didn't get the pickles that was ordered and no bbq sauce! I went to a BBQ joint, after all! Pit baked potato were not cooked all the way, raw potatoes aren't easy to eat. I think I would have received my order if the manager hadn't decided to be the expediter and left the two workers in the drive through, already putting the orders together alone. Thankfully, I asked for forks otherwise I would not got the the butter, chives, sour cream and cheese for the baked potatos. This was the Woodlands location. Unfortunately 1960 location was too far away from where I needed to be, or I would have gone there.
It seems that every time I go through the drive-thru, I get less & less fries. Paid $3.50 first them & my fries were filled just half way up to the bend. I get it prices have gone up, but that's a bit ridiculous.
Prices increase, quality decreases. My brisket was so dry I had to spit it out. My fries weren't done enough, basically broke in half like a board. Took it back and they replaced. I paid 15.00 including tax for my chopped beef fries. I like to enjoy my order. Please ensure quality
I should have stuck to a chopped beef potato like I always get, but nooo I wanted something different. I usually love the baby backs but today was different, they were like they were from the day before and heated up. They were not tender and juicy like usual. I ordered the rib platter with two sides, mac and cheese and yams. The yams were not sweet and had onions in them...idk where they got this recipe from cause this is Texas we don't put onions in yams or sweet potatoes!
got it to go and when I pulled out of the parking lot I had to have some on the way home they were soggy and room temp they also didn't give any pickles and onions even though I requested them they're typically good but I guess they were busy today.
Honestly, pretty good food. The smoked wings available on weekends and the off-the-menu burger are our favorite items... But, there always seems to be issues with their customer service. Long waits…
The Pappas family has long delivered great food and the barbecue was delicious as always. \nIn checking our bill (already paid) we found we were charged for two soft drinks rather than only one. …

Driving around all of Texas and enjoying epic BBQ in places like Lockhart, TX, we were really looking forward to trying BBQ from the same chain that gave us Pappadeaux and Pappasitos - both places we really enjoyed. Wow, were we surprised. TL;DR - We regret having eaten here. The staff was fine - it's a build-your-meal while-you-wait type of restaurant. The BBQ's an epic fail, however. We got a Rib Combo, a Beef Trio, and Turkey Breast. For sides, we enjoyed Ranch Beans, Mac'n Cheese, and Lima Beans. All of the sides were great - we really liked the Lima Beans. The meat, however, left A LOT to be desired. - Meat was VERY over-smoked - Meat was massively over-cooked & very greasy - BBQ sauces were TERRIBLE - The Jalapeno Cheese Bread was stupid - almost comical! The Rib Combo was "OK", but the beef rib was over-cooked and greasy. The baby backs were OK, but were also over-cooked. On the Beef Trio, however, the Brisket coated your mouth with a fairly overwhelming greasy film, then blasted you with over-cooked, over-smoked beef flavor. Yuck. The Beef Sausage was also "OK", but a bit underwhelming flavor-wise. The Turkey breast was over-smoked like everything else, but wasn't terrible like the Beef Ribs and Brisket. Jalapeno Cheese Bread? WHATEVER. White Bread with a cheese-ish "bubble" every 10 miles, and the occasional rare sighting of the apparently extinct Jalapeno Pepper flake. Comical and stupid, at the same time. The BBQ sauce was disgusting. The "Sweet" sauce is nothing BUT sweet. It's sugar all-the-way. Then there's an Espresso BBQ, which is also very sweet, with a kick of coffee flavor at the end. Finally, there's a Tangy Mustard sauce which is definitely MUSTARD, and unless you like one of these 3 options, you're S-O-L in the sauce department. Good BBQ doesn't need sauce, but this wasn't good - and it definitely needed SOMETHING to disguise the extreme greasy residue. This sauce was disgusting. No spicy sauce options, either. Wow. To be fair, there are some good things about Pappas BBQ: + The condiment bar is loaded with Jalapenos, Peppers, Relish, Pickles and Onions - and they were pretty good. + The sides we had were good, too: Lima Beans were really good, Ranch Beans were yummy, and the Mac'n Cheese was basic, but tasty. That's about it. Why on Earth would we go back when there's a Spring Creek BBQ right down the road? Stick with Pappasitos and Pappadeaux if you want to visit a Pappa restaurant. I suspect at least one of the reasons the reviews for this place are as high as they are might have something to do with that $10 all-you-can eat rib deal...even if they are overcooked, over-smoked and greasy. Blechhh!
9/5/2022: SHRINKFLATION!? I have frequented this restaurant for quite a number of years... Today I ordered my normal, Jumbo 2 meat plate... I got the smallest plate ever; especially light on the brisket... When I asked the cashier to make sure it was a jumbo, she had the carver check it... With an attitude, he just returned it to her... I appreciate the Jumbo because of the value when compared to the standard size as I typically take plenty to go and make another 1 or 2 meals out of it.... 2019: Great BBQ. I always get the sliced beef and turkey combo with spicy rice and yams. Good portions on the meat. Good rub/bark on both the beef and turkey.
Asking for extra bbq sauce and not getting it is one thing. Okay I’ll get over it. But making me a potato and ALL the things that are supposed to be in the potato were thrown on top of the foil because yall were in a rush or too lazy is unacceptable. I’ve been here many times and never seen this. If I would have taken a bite where all the chicken and sour cream was I would have gotten foil with it. You can see in the pictures just how much was put in my potato. Virtually nothing. Somehow y’all managed to screw up putting things in a potato, that’s pretty bad.
Not sure what's changed but the food was a bit off this time. Ribs were really sweet but not very seasoned. The sweet potatoes were not very sweet and had onions... And the dirty rice lacked any flavor. Even the color is of it was just like white rice with pieces of ground beef. Maybe they changed the kitchen workers? Because it wasn't like that a few months ago. Not sure but I won't be back anytime soon.
We have been eating at this restaurant for the last 20 plus years, but since Covid the price has been going up and quality going down. We went there yesterday for dinner and spent $138.00 and we asked for lean brisket and the plate was half inedible fat and grizzle, see attached picture. The ribs had barely any meat. The only items on the condiments table were onions and pickled pepper. I am sorry we will never visit this place again, we have plenty of other BBQ choices in our area.
Ordered the 2 meat for dinner, asked for mash potatoes got potato salad without asking, when I asked if it had onions he didn't know. Meat plate came out sausage was fine, 3 small (about 2" long) pieces of nothing but fat brisket. The green beans might have been good if they were hot, unfortunately they were not. I didn't eat my meal, stopped at whataburger on the way home. I will say the manager was very attentive.
I placed my order and there was a little confusion at first, then the young lady became upset and rude dang near throwing my food at me twice then I was given the wrong size side dish. The young ladyManger saw this and spoke to me about it. I don't feel comfortable coming back here if I'm spending my Hard-earned money and I'm going to get this type of service very Dissatisfied.
We went through the drive-thru there on Friday, October tenth. Spent the most money I ever spent there and it was the worst meal I ever got from there. I have always enjoyed Papa's Barbeque before so I don't know what happened this time. We ordered the catfish plate, which was very good-generous sized filets and it was delicious. We also ordered the two-sliced-meat plate, and 1/2 pound of sliced brisket. Here's where it failed. For the two-meat plate I asked for double sliced brisket. It looked like one portion. And it was hard and burned-the piece you cut off after you take it out of the pit that nobody will want. The 1/2 pound was not like that but it was dry. And I did say I wanted barbeques sauce but they forgot it. Honestly quite disappointed.
Ordered two sliced brisket sandwiches with drinks total cost around $46.00 (ridiculous), the brisket was mostly fat, and not edible. Very disappointed and will never go back.

Never will I ever eat here again! Over cooked BBQ sucks! Ribs were like jerky, brisket had no flavor sausage was dry, the rice had large bone pieces in it. Be prepared to order a medic to go with your meal. As for the service, the cashier was some-what polite with a hint of "my shit don't stink, I live in and work in the Woodlands"!
Let me start with price versus what i got: I paid $17.99 ea. for a chipped beef baker (we got 2). They each had about 9 small pieces of beef on top. When I asked for more, they said we would have to charge you extra. Ridiculous. Second, let's speak on the service: service was decent. A bunch of high school kids working, so I can't expect much from that. I can however speak about how they speak to customers on the phone. HORRIBLY! And we noticed if they don't know you, you have to wait, their friends come first, along with getting freebies. Food quality: trash, won't go back.
Thanks for making everyone scream at the top of their lungs just to be heard @ the drive-thru. Why havent you fixed that after all these years? Get more staff better customer service youre across from The Woodlands after all. Fire your GM i only eat here if im desperate cause its so bad 👎
I have to change my previous review. Ive eat at this papas bbq for 8+years always considered it an option for dinner in the woodlands. Last night i was rumning late very hungry and didnt wany fast food. Papas has a drive c thruband they close in 10 minutes but bbq is already cooled and i dont want anything extra and if they turn me away, im ok, at least i tried. They didnt turn me away they were super nice about it and i ordered a chopped beef brisket poboy, its a BIG sandwich it last two people or 2 meals for 1. Its also 17.85 plus tax yes a $20 sandwich no veggies just meat and bread. But i love their bbq i did it, i got one. I have in the past many times. Well i knew something was a ittle off when the bag felt unusually light. I puuled awway stil feeling good abut getting a decent meal at 9 at night but i would not be happy for long . I took a pick of the sandwich right then bread same size as i remember, sauce in the little cups a napkin and such. The priblem waa therw was harsly anything on the bun, thwy closed as im driving out of the drive thru lane. I can only say that if you aerve me bad food or something i thought id try to see if i like it, i can understand notbeveryone has a good day cooking or ive made a mistake ordering om a big boy ill live. Take mu money for a product that they woll double check your order becayse its expensive and legendary from its size and then give me less than the next menu itenm down(chopped beef brisket SANDWICH) , that makes me feel like ive been robbed. I hate thieves, even thieves hate other thieves theres little plave in todays economy for waste or theft. I can forgive i didnt march upnthe the door and demand to see a manager after clos or threaten an attendant at the window. I went home. But i dont forget and the one thing that make me never go somewhere again mwss with my money. I can chooae who gets it. They wont foe a vwry long time. Beware the bbq poboy its a scam didnt use to be but now it is
So I just left this place! Very disappointed for the second time. Can you believe they gave me raw tough ribs. In the heights the papas is great. But, for some reason this place is a a hot mess. I was waiting to sink my teeth in those ribs after a long day at work that is all I wanted a decent meal. Now I have to eat a bowl of cereal and cook this in the oven slowly. So Sad!!!!
60bucks of terrible food. This location has been off for over a year now. It was so bad today that I’m writing a review. We usually return to the restaurant when the food is bad but we are simply over the apologies. How can a salad not be good? The brisket was sliced paper thin and dry dry dry. Every protein in the meal was hard. There is no excuse for serving dry brisket ham or sausage anywhere in Texas. Texas owns bbq so get it together people. The lady at the window is the only plus. She has been friendly and taken our orders correctly for many years.
Very expensive lunch. $26,95 for. 1 rib two over cooked dry slices brisket and 4 slices of sausage, about 2 tables of dry rice with no taste. The beans were the only thing that was good. Will never go back. Haven't been to a Pappas in years for the exact same things. Over priced for lousy food. Will never go back. Also got a baked potato. How do you screw up a baked potato. It was horrible.
I don't know what's going on with this location. We go here almost every other week to get our BBQ fit. We'll tonight we spent a little over 50 bucks for nothing special. We drive out of our way to go to this location. I'll post pix. The baked potato I ordered wasn't that big like usual. I ordered the brisket potato and only got maybe 5 small pieces of brisket. The "fixings" we all smashed together. My wife ordered the jumbo 2 meat and asked for most brisket. The brisket was not a moist cut. To make things worse the girl at the windows was not nice at all. Why im not sure. This can't be the new norm. We won't be back especially if this is what we are not being served.
I would give this location NO stars if I could. Literally THE MOST disrespectful customer service experience ever made even worse by this atrocious chopped beef potato that was undercooked with spoiled sour cream. I am a HUGE Pappas franchise fan and this was my first visit since the pandemic began. This entire encounter was so far from their brand it felt like The Twilight Zone. Several aspects of this establishment need to be evaluated ASAP by corporate, namely a young server who clearly lost his mind.
Takeout! Order premium BRISKET breakfast tacos actually got BACON TACO. We usually check our orders but we can’t check what actually inside a taco. Btw, call the restaurant and they will give us a refund but the experience I had … and the disappointment. VERY SAD. It ruined My breakfast. Please remember to check your orders the best you can.
Honestly maybe I'm just hungry and pissed but I came in place an order and when I came to pay no tap to pay Apple pay or Google pay or anything in that matter. Lady told me I can go online and place the order but it would still have to be the same problem as I don't have my card with me when checking out. Honestly maybe what I'm upset at the most is the level of I don't care received when trying to place the order.
I am a big fan of BBQ! We got the family plate with four different meats and each meat was dry and very hard to chew. I was having a hard time even cutting the meat up with a knife for my little one to chew. Very disappointed and won’t be going back again.
Placed an order for a dozen spicy wings and chopped beef fries. I attempted to eat the fries first and after the first three bites, I have up on them. They were absolutely revolting!! There was more grease than nullified any chance of flavor. I pushed them aside and attempted to eat the wings. The wings looked as if they had been sitting at the bottom of the pan all day. Sad and burned. The taste was just a smidge better than the beef fries. The full order was a true assault to my taste buds but not in a delightful way. To say the least, McDonald's would've been a better choice. I contacted PBBQ to inform them of my displeasure and the gentleman, C, in an ingenious tone; apologized. He stated, I could put his name on the receipt and take it back for a full replacement of the order at my earliest convenience. However, I highly doubt I would want to subject my tastebuds to food from this location ever again. Yes it was that bad. Undeniably the order was more about quantity than quality for the $33+ that it cost. The quality didn't just take a back seat to quantity but it completely vanished.
They are outdated. I didn’t have my wallet w me and tried to pay w my ecard/ electronic wallet and they don’t take it. They made me park, and had to create an account, place the the order online and wait extra time for them to bring it out.. so the pint of doing drive through was completely pointless. It took 20 mins for a baked potato!
Update: Not much changed other than gotten worse. Order and paid for three beef ribs and received two dry little ribs. Also, they forgot the jumbo ice tea. Been here 4 times and these is the second time they mess up my orders. This location foods are dry and a bit salty. I wanted chicken and Beef rib but got pork instead. I can't eat BBQ pork... Instead of rice I got mac and cheese. Again, I don't do so well with cheese. They still need to work on their drive-thru.
There are a couple of words that come to mind But for the record them for the courtesy of those reading this review I will refrain from using them if you’re looking for poor tasting barbecue with soggy water pulled pork with cold food this is the place to be!! The standards was higher in the past and I’ve seen this place drop quality the fries are over salted the potato Salad side it’s good put the beans I called which is unusual
We ordered our food through drive thru. When we got home we had a huge disappointment. After spending $125.00 Two of the dinners did not have all the sides Rib plate was disgusting. We talked to the manager about the order he told us we would get a full refund and they would send it in the mail.... THAT DID NOT HAPPEN we received a 20 gift card that we will never use.
Don’t get me wrong with the food tastes great but the service here is horrible, especially if you’re ordering in the morning for breakfast. The lady that works almost every single morning has the worst attitude every single time we order she’s bothered or upset. She cuts you off instead of letting you finish your order, And it’s not every once in a while this is every single morning that I’ve ever gone to this location The only reason we come back is because of breakfast tacos taste amazing but this lady I hope they just remove her and put somebody else The older heavier, Hispanic lady
I’ve been going to Pappas for years and have never had an issue until today. I ordered catering online, and whoever is handling the phones and customer service needs serious retraining. They were rude on the phone, and the attitude continued when I went in to pick up my order. It completely changed the whole experience for me. I’ve always trusted Pappas for good food and good service, but today was honestly disappointing. I hope management addresses this, because loyal customers shouldn’t be treated this way.
Usually, Pappas has excellent brisket and food. I ordered for a pickup December 24th as we had Christmas that evening. I spent damn near $300 to have dry, hard brisket and beans that were not cooked thoroughly. 👎 Normally you get excellent food from any and all Pappas restaurants, not sure what is going on with this Bbq location in Oakridge but save your money - go elsewhere.
Initially thought all would be good here. Wrong. I am gluten intolerant, and asked to see their gluten-free menu. Initially, they weren't sure where to find it, but after 3 staff members got involved, they found it. I asked them to change gloves, and if they could change knives and wipe down the cutting board, which it seemed they did. Anyway, cut to 15 minutes later where I'm clutching my stomach, feeling like I'm going to throw up, and having a really bad time in the bathroom, and I'm going to assume they skipped a step to make sure the food was safe. Anyway, won't be back and will make sure to post this review on all gluten-free apps and websites so this doesn't happen to anyone else again.
***Sept 2 2025*** Well I officially quit. Heading to spring for an insurance claim matter and coworkers asked for Papa's. I was hesitant but figured surely my feedback which has a response would yield some results, right? Wrong. Paid an extra $7 for fries on 2 sandwich orders and not only was neither cup even halfway full, one cups had all sauce and ketchup. I throw the boogie buggy in reverse and am met at the window by 2 cherubs who seemed truly off guard when I asked where the rest of the fries. The one gave a very long "ummm" the said it's by weight. So the sauce cups and unwanted ketchup cut down in the fry volume. Got it. Will not be back and will work on closing our business account. It's was actually pretty great while it lasted. **Aug 2025*** After moving north this was my go to for reliably good barbecue. Just went back the first time in a while and wow...tragic. Fries were cold and barely a half cup (if you know, you know). The meat order was also incorrect and the wrong size; lean brisket requested and seemed to have gotten all the fat trimmings and pork but ordered turkey. The extra sauce request was definitely ignored with just 1 cup with the potato despite selection on each entree. The potato sub and kids meal (grilled cheese) were literally the highlights. I know staffing across all markets is a struggle lately but after nearly $60 mistakes like that are glaring. Hopefully the accuracy improves.
Terrible meat quality, completely unacceptable presentation." I was served a piece of meat with an absolutely disgusting appearance. The surface had a strange, unnatural texture, with fat that looked plastic-like or processed, and a pattern that doesn’t match any normal cut or serious cooking technique. It wasn’t just unappetizing to look at — the smell and texture were also off. This plate was expensive, yet what I received looked like reheated scraps or old meat. Honestly, it was disgusting. Out of respect for your customers, you should seriously review the quality of the food you’re serving. You can’t charge premium prices and serve food that looks suspicious or recycled. I won’t be coming back, and I do not recommend this place.
