This restaurant is such a cozy spot perfect for a Sunday family outing. The service was incredible; Kaci took care of us with a big smile and was always so kind. The food was delicious ;the meat in the fajitas was super tender and flavorful. I also had one of the best sangrias I’ve ever tried; it had the perfect balance of flavors. For dessert, we enjoyed a tres leches cake that was absolutely amazing and highly recommended. I also really loved the beautiful lamps that create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Always love my chicken del Mar with queso. I only can eat 1/2 of it, but always take my leftovers home and be sure to ask for a tortilla as well... makes for a great all inclusive burrito for lunch the next day! ❤️

I have been visiting this location for too many years to count and I have always had an amazing experience. The service is top-notch and food is always fresh, nicely presented and delicious. I have not only had lunches and dinners here but reserved a room for a large reception as well. The expense for what was provided was more than agreeable. My favourite plates are the taco sald with beef fajita, the three pepper cheese steak and the carne asada. Also, the skinny margaritas are the best (and I have tried them in a lot of restaurants). This will always be one of my favourite places to visit whether it is a casual outing or a more formal dinner. If you have not tried Lupe Tortilla, you are really missing out so visit today!

After numerous visits, I remember to leave some stars…. Lupe is always a good food choice. Food is made fresh when you order and it definitely shows. Our server Maysun was beyond fabulous with taking care of us. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Not one question we asked went unanswered and we love when this happens. The restaurant environment was great. Not too noisy as most places. We didn’t have to scream and shout at each other. Pricing is not too bad for the portions. We were very pleased with everything. And last but not least, the bar tender that made our drinks, great job! We will be back!

I normally like Lupes , this was my 1st time at this location. The food did not taste good at all. It looks and tastes like they are using diffrent meat (i had beef fajitas qusadillas ) the tortillas were soggy and floppy , when they are normally crispy. The beef normally has a slight lime taste, not this time, this time it was like meat from a TV dinner. Very slow getting bar drinks, so I ended up with an empty glass a few times and for long periods of time. The waitress was nice and efficient with the exception of bar drinks. Too many good restaurants to waste $100 here again for 2 people

Eggs on my barbacoa Benedict were practically hard boiled. Took them a while to correct my order (ordered no beans, extra potatoes. Received only beans). Received wrong drink order too. Churros tasted more like zeppole. Service was much better once we moved to the bar area. Would only go back for drinks.

Okay I normally don’t leave these long reviews but….. We went to Lupe Tortilla on Sunday to celebrate our nephew’s high school graduation with a group of about 18 to 20 people. It started off well—the staff was friendly, and our waiter introduced himself warmly. Things seemed promising at first. However, the experience quickly became frustrating. For a group our size, basic things like water became a hassle. At one point, we asked for more water and were told that the restaurant doesn’t allow pitchers to be left on the table—for reasons that weren’t really explained. Eventually, the waiter brought out several glasses and just placed them randomly on the table, which helped a bit, but it still felt inefficient and inconsistent. Then came the food. My husband’s meal was served first—way before anyone else’s—which was awkward, especially in front of a big family gathering where we typically say Grace and eat together. Instead, food trickled out piece by piece, one plate at a time, with long delays in between. Some people waited nearly an hour after others had already started eating. We were there for a total of three plus hours, and honestly, after two, I had to get up—I just couldn’t sit any longer. It was exhausting. It’s clear that this restaurant, while maybe great for smaller parties, simply isn’t equipped to handle a large group and serve meals in a timely or coordinated way. At one point, one of the servers gave a bit of a side-eye to a guest as she leaned around him while speaking to another gesturing while talking to deliver drinks, which felt unprofessional—even though, to her credit, she did manage to dodge the gesture gracefully. Still, it was a strange vibe. To be fair, the food was good. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they got once it finally arrived. But based on the experience, I wouldn’t recommend Lupe Tortilla for large gatherings. It just wasn’t organized or efficient enough to make a special occasion like this feel smooth or celebratory.

We ordered 1/2 lb of the beef fajitas for $34. Lupes beef is known for their tender and flavorful beef. They missed the mark this time as it was the toughest meat we have eaten. Disappointing.

Lupe is Lupe .... WE ALL LOVE THE FOOD ... but the service .............. Is kinda trash! I order big lunches from them at least every month or every other month and when I tell you they are NEVER on time .... It's always a delay and it makes me look bad as if I am not managing my time properly or as If I never ordered the food and I did it last minute. Gave me a bad reputation and as much as I love the food I hate the service. Friendly staff just bad service.

Not recommended for young families. They try to sit all kids in high chairs in the smallest back room of the restaurant that is honestly too small to comfortably eat without children. There’s not a good path in this back room and we were constantly bumped by the wait staff and host staff as they tried to maneuver around us. Made for an awful dining experience. Tables are so small, it was near to impossible to keep everything out of reach of the kiddo on the table. There’s lots of good Mexican restaurants close by (Goode Co Cantina, Pappasitos, Guadalajara), this is the worst. We didn’t finish our dinner as the atmosphere gave us too much anxiety. The staff was also pretty darn bad if I am being honest, but maybe it was an off-night. Anyways doesn’t really matter, the atmosphere is so off for kids, we won’t be back.

Never had a pleasant experience picking up form this location. The to go service is terrible. Whatever time they tell you the food is gonna be ready add another 30-45 minutes on top of that and be ready to warm up your food when you get home.

From the very beginning, the experience was extremely disappointing. In addition to the deliberate delays that were clearly used to justify extra charges, we also had to insist that the servers bring the full order, since the food was initially served incomplete. If I had not demanded that the missing items be brought out, I honestly believe they would not have completed the order at all. The only thing I can recommend is not to book a private room for any type of celebration at this place. They do everything possible to charge more money than what is stated in the contract. They even deliberately delay the food service so the time goes over and they can charge extra fees. It is also very clear that they have no interest whatsoever in customer service or in the customer’s opinion. When I told the person assisting me that I was extremely unhappy with the situation and that I would make this public in a Google review, their reaction said it all. They didn’t say a single word, just their facial expressions made it clear that they did not care at all if I did so. Even when the mistake is entirely on their part, they place the responsibility on the customer and force you to pay more. That said, I am not leaving this review only for them, but rather to contribute to the community, so that anyone considering booking a private event and who reads this comment fully understands the consequences they may face if they decide to do so.

Completely unacceptable experience. I booked this restaurant for a Christmas dinner with my employees and signed a contract for 2 hours for 25 people, which should have been honored without excuses. Even though fewer guests ended up attending (which I fully accepted), the restaurant unilaterally decided not to serve the full amount of food for the 25 people stated in the contract, which is a direct breach of what was agreed. I had to repeatedly complain just to receive the remaining dishes. On top of that, the food arrived extremely late, to the point that the two contracted hours passed without the food being properly served, due entirely to the restaurant’s poor organization. Despite the delay being 100% the restaurant’s fault, I was charged for an additional hour, clearly showing an intention to extend the time in order to charge extra rather than support the customer or take responsibility. There was no customer support, no real solution, and no sincere apology. This place shows zero respect for its customers, poor management, and no accountability. My advice: do not rely on their contracts or prepay for multiple hours, as they will do everything possible to create extra charges. Terrible service. I will not return and do not recommend this place.

I am extremely disappointed with today’s experience at Lupe Tortilla in Shenandoah, TX. Today was our staff Christmas lunch. The team chose Lupe because they genuinely love your food, and our office is located in Shenandoah, making pickup convenient. As the owner of Vision Source, I placed an online order at 6:00 a.m. this morning for a noon pickup. When I arrived about 10 minutes before noon, every curbside pickup space was occupied with no drivers inside. Everyone was waiting indoors for their orders. Several customers told me they had already been waiting for over 45 minutes and were informed the delay was due to tortillas not being ready. By 12:45 p.m., I was forced to cancel my order with the only employee attending the to-go area. As a result, my staff did not get to enjoy their planned lunch or their Secret Santa party. There was no apology offered to any of the approximately ten customers who were waiting with me. To be fair, I did receive a refund since I never received the food. However, as a business owner myself, I still find this level of service unacceptable—especially for orders placed well in advance. Unfortunately, instead of the $271.76 fajita lunch we had planned, my staff ended up with a $10 Sam’s Club take-and-bake pizza.
