Great River Deli

Easy to see right off of River Road servicing Great River and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Small parking lot. Clean facilities. Family owned. Great for Breakfast sandwiches, Chicken Cutlet Heros, and Salads. Public Restroom. Staff is nice especially our server Nicole who was very Professional and Hospitable. We will definitely be going back.

Family run establishment. Always helpful and fast. Accommodating to most requests. Coffee is good. Egg sandwiches and deli sandwiches are above average. Their hot sandwiches are great too. I try to eat here at least once a week when I can. Sometimes were eat from here all weekend.

I have been in the delicatessen business for over 40 years and I am telling you this store is what the lost art of what deli's are supposed to be. Clean,clean,clean..staff is wonderful food is always homemade and fresh!! Owners are "hands on" everyday.they work hard for a living,serve only the best quality and know everybody on a first name basis..truly the hidden gem of great river!!

Recently ordered a few trays of paninis twice; once for a work even then for a baby shower. They were very accommodating to my requests, and a pleasure to deal with. Always helped to load everything in the car. I realized I was missing part of my order and they delivered it to the house in time for the party. Everyone complimented the food options.

I wish I can give new owner 10 stars he is very good and knows how to welcome & treat customers , food quality is very good you can see when you walk in all salads and my favorite chicken cutlets prices are reasonable not a ripoff. Thanks keep it up.

OMG. I like potatoes and potato salad. I LOVED their potato salad. FRESH as can be. The best I had in years. Spuds were cooked and soft to perfection. It was tart (not really), but sweet - a perfect balance. And CREAMY!! Can they do it exactly this way again?? I hope the kitchen can prepare this consistently - don't deviate a bit. I'll be back for sure. I'll go back for a quart of this stuff when I pass by.. If I have a gathering, I'll get a few quarts. When I golf at Timber Point, I'll get a pint container just for me.... YUM.

A good place to stop if you want hot sandwich on your way to either the golf course or heckscher park. They also have basic supplies like detergent and toilet paper if you are camping at the park.

Ordered a hero and some salads for a party today!! The hero was delicious, freshest bread I have ever had on a hero!! And the potato salad!!! OMG! Amazing!!! Best deli on Long Island!!!

Deli is clean and well stocked. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and they didn’t skimp on bacon. Will be back soon to try lunches.
