We get takeout from here all the time & it’s definitely our favorite fried chicken in the area. Maybe even the absolute favorite overall. The crispy soy garlic is my top pick, although I’ve tried the honey butter & real garlic and those are very good too. Usually when we get fried chicken takeout in other places the chicken gets soggy and doesn’t feel crispy by the time we get back home to eat it, but this is NEVER an issue at Vons. Half portion is 6 and full is 12. Highly recommend trying this spot you won’t regret it!
Here at the opening reception at "K Banchan Kitchen" today. It is located in La Mancha Plaza. Parking is readily available on site in the plaza. The Korean food here is delicious and absolutely amazing! Great for takeouts and there is a small area for dining in. There are beautiful plants being sold here as well. Well decorated. Great service! Highly recommend. It will be open to the public on Friday, 3/24/23.
Holy moly. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd ever find S-tier banchan outside of Koreatown in LA or Korea. Yet here, in this unassuming strip mall off Telegraph across from MacArthur BART, K Banchan is bringing the goods. Simply put, this is some of the best banchan- easily beats the big supermarket options by a long shot. The storefront is simple with a couple fridges stocked with a wide selection of banchan, kimchi, stews, and meats. The ajumma working the counter helped breakdown all the different options - from picked veggies, marinated seafoods, and some treats like egg omelette. I loved the mix of classic banchan and some inventive ones like the picked beet "kkakdugi" which we had as a side for dinner and OMG I want more. The roasted garlic is to die for. And as someone who doesn't dig the classic black bean banchan, this one might have made me into a convert. The banchan flavor is incredibly balanced and the quality is ultra fresh. I literally don't think I've ever had such crisp banchan. The snap. The bright acidity in the pickled one. I mean chef's kiss. All in all, we picked up 6 different banchan for a little over $30. They also offer sandwiches and doshirak lunch sets as well. If you eat in, they also offer a side of rice to have with your yummy banchan. I will be returning regularly. The supermarket banchan options just don't cut it anymore when you have a dedicated fresh option in K Banchan.
I’ve come into this place on a couple of occasions and was really impressed by the quality of the banchan. I also ordered a mackerel lunch box on a return visit and thought that the quality easily matched the banchan i had tried. The size of the meal was generous and the fish tasted fresh and was well-seasoned. The service here is extremely friendly as well. Easy recommend for anyone looking for quick Korean food in the area.
Got a bulgolgi plate and a k-frittata sandwhich. The plate included japchae, steamed vegetables, and rice. It was a lot of food and everything tasted great. Also picked up some banchan, kimbop, and kimchi which were delicious. Great spot to get a meal or some sides at a great price. Check em out!
The food was amazing. The service was great. All meat Kimbaps say less. The chicken was crisp and really juicy. It was a fantastic bite before a kpop concert.
The banchan here is absolutely amazing and affordable priced. You can tell these people are so sweet and caring that their plants grow like in a nursery. You will feel alive and wholesome too.
In addition to the normal food offerings, they recently started doing Von’s Fried Chicken! Food is always delicious and made to order.
Picked out several side dishes and ordered the bulgogi dish from menu A Everything was very delicious The cute grandma that took care of me was super sweet and took time to make my food look good. She talked to me about their opening and how they don’t have online ordering yet. She kept me busy while I waited for my food to be cooked :) My new favorite spot :)
The food is fantastic. I had the BBQ Kimchi Bulgogi K-Sandwich, and Xtine had the Spicy Pork Lunch Box -- highly recommended!
Get the spicy soy garlic chicken and a Binggrae strawberry milk to cool the palate between bites. Phenomenally crispy skin and juicy chicken. The spiciness is definitely intense, but in a delicious way.
The daeji bulgogi / kimchi sandwich is a thing of pure awesomeness! And the owner is the cutest thing on two wheels!

Very great food! My favorite is the half rack of drumsticks and wings. I like the spicy flavor. I usually get it with rice but their fries are also good. Very great service!
Love their chickens, soy is the best one. I love spicy Korean food but the spicy one wasn't great. And I love garlic but they were disappointing, too sweet. Take about 20 mins for the food so time your pickup since the parking lot is always full & very hard to find parking on street & traffic there is crazy.
Great little friendly, locally owned Korean take out place. The meals are good - “lunch boxes”, kimchi fried rice, sandwiches - and for mine are usually best with beef bulgogi. They’re also big enough to share between 2. The fried chicken is addictively good! Soy garlic and cheddar are favorites. Plus as the name suggests they have a wide selection of tasty banchan.

This place is amazing, and they have such variety in their offerings. The fried chicken is a showstopper with incredible crunch, great variety of sauce, and a great mix of large drumsticks with small ones and flats (or boneless if you like). The sandwiches are a giant pile of BBQ on crispy bread and the flavor is great. The fridges around the side have a massive selection of little pickled things, and I like to try new ones as a side whenever I go. This is always a great restaurant to stop by, they have something for every food mood.
We were craving Korean fried chicken, found out the VONS chicken in Albany was closed, and decided to order takeout from this restaurant instead. We ordered the Crispy Yang Yum Full and the Crispy Sweet Cheddar Full. You can customize the combo of drums and wings. We chose the 6 drums and 8 wings for our set. Everything tasted great, the flavor was spot on, and the chicken was crispy! They have a small parking lot outside, which made picking up our order easy. which was a plus.
Cute, cozy little shop. Stopped by for their bento box lunch, was happy with the meal. Very filling. Would give five stars, but the bulgogi was a bit too dry for my taste. All the same, I’d definitely come back again! The server was nice and attentive, and I was able to get myself some complimentary water. The parking was a bit tricky, but I managed to find a spot around the corner.

Food & prices are good. They need to work on time management. I showed up 35 mins after placing my order. I was told “two more minutes.” 15 minutes later, I was on my way. But I will say, the food was fresh and tasty. I’ll just have to give myself a broader buffer when picking up.
We walked right in one afternoon and the line formed behind us. We had veggie Kimbop and two bento boxes- mackerel and tofu. The banchan was great. We think most people get fried food here, but we didn’t and so you’ll have to try it yourself. The food we got was pretty salty and greasy. A+ on the Kimbop.

Can’t speak for the rest of the menu items but good lord that chicken is bad. Seems like they deliberately over-season it to mask the fact the chicken is expired. Took way too long to make too. If I wanted to wait over an hour and a half just to be completely unsatisfied I would’ve stayed with my ex-wife. Jokes aside this food is so awful. Save yourself. Don’t eat here.
