Mr. Green Bubble

Better than the Walnut Creek Location, but still surrounded by metered parking. I like Mr. Green Bubble almost as much as I enjoy i-Tea, they seem to have a different variety of flavors for teas, like Green Apple! 😋 Its just a little more expensive than i-tea, its One of the reasons I switch between the two. Same kind of loyalty program, really kind and helpful accomodating staff. In fact, my most recent trip was during SIP, and I wasn't aware, only online orders were being accepted. But, the guy at the front door was really nice and allowed me to place a walk-in order and use an expired discount. I was relieved, since Piedmont is not close to where I now live. Another plus, its really close to parks and clean quiet walkable area's ! 😉 ;)

This place is a really good place to go get your boba drinks and also there's lots of savory snacks and sweet treats for those who want something to eat with the boba. I really enjoy the chicken wings and the fried tofu are me and my family's go to snack when we get boba at Mr. Green Bubble. I enjoy the milk tea bobas but there are bobas that are teas and no milk and smoothies and more!

Had the Vietnamese Matcha Cloud and the popcorn chicken (spice level 3). Both were really good. I accidentally forgot to add boba to the drink, but it was still delicious, and I don’t even usually love matcha. The chicken was juicy, nicely seasoned with a good kick, and came out hot and fresh. Definitely feels like a neighborhood staple. Will come back.

At first glance, you might believe it's a typical boba drink pastry shop. Small space, simple design, green letter hinting of a potential vegan-esque feel and approach. I took a look at the menu. And it was quite surprising at the variety of snacks and drinks they offered . I was in the mood for popcorn chicken , and to my surprise they had some of the best popcorn chicken within walking distance of where I reside. There a popcorn chicken was exceptional and they have a variety of options in terms of the way you want it cooked and things you might want to add or avoid. Chicken fully cooked.Do stress if you want your popcorn chicken extra crispy as that is the only thing I would have improved I also ordered the lemonade and strawberry lemonade and the packaging they come in ( meaning the cup) is environmentally friendly and also makes it easy to share amongst each other in your group. The drink could use less sugar as it was a bit over sweet. The online ordering process was quick and simple, and how's your order track live with updates and approximate time for you to pick up your order. Parking is limited to the main street. Indoor lounge holds approximately 3 to 4 tables. No matter your budget there's always a great value for you with great food waiting on the other end. The place was clean will it was warm and inviting, the customer service was quick, friendly and helpful. I overlooked this place all the time while walking down Piedmont. It just became one of my go-to places

Love their clear menu (since many other boba places have way too many menu items to process). Generous portions of both drinks and snacks, and nice reusable cups too. Hit it before or after the school across the street lets out for the day to avoid long lines!

Good quality boba shop. They use real tea and fruit syrups for the fruit options. They have a wide variety of custom option add-ins like pearls, popping pearls, jellies, and pudding. They also serve egg puffs, which I've never tried but intend to soon!

My pick up go to Boba during work. Drinks are decent. Staff is quick with orders. Always hard to find street parking but we manage. They always give you a decent amount of popcorn chicken. Wish they sold steamed rice. It's hard to eat chicken without rice for my taste preference!

My favorite popcorn chicken served with crispy fried basil leaves. The Boba teas are excellent. You can sit here and play board games. My kids live this place.

I always liked the food here especially the popcorn chicken. But the service is super slow even if you order online in advance. I chose to order a warm boba tea and a snack on their online order system, waited for 35min and received no pickup instructions. Until I went into to the store and asked, they told me they can't do warm and nobody communicated with me regarding that until this moment I asked. Very disappointed with the service.

I love me some boba! I'm always really happy with their service and the quality of their drinks. Even when there's a line I never have to wait too long to get my order. My favorites are the taro milk tea and popcorn chicken. Yummo!

I'd want a less sugar option, but I guess whatever mix they have for the Thai milk tea is already pre-sweetened.) I like being able to order on the kiosks - usually makes it less likely for there to be a misunderstanding about what I want. You can also order through the Snackpass app if you have it. You can specify the sweetness level and ice level, too, which is nice. And they you get a text when your drink is ready. The last couple times, my drink was ready much earlier than it originally estimated, which was nice. There are only four "classic" milk teas that have the boba included, and these aren't priced too bad. The others don't include boba so you have to add it as an extra for 50 cents, and they're more expensive drinks to begin with, so those end up being rather pricey ... so I haven't gotten them. But the boba texture is almost always perfect and the drink flavors pretty good. So, it's not bad for when I'm in the area. But I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

We ordered from this new place (to us) and truly enjoyed the meal. We got some popcorn chicken, deep fried tofu, egg Puff pancake, Thai iced tea with boba, popping boba, and lychee bits, and lastly an oreo milk tea drink. The tofu was really good and well seasoned and fried. The popcorn chicken was well seasoned and fried too and the size of the nuggets were good for a nice mouthful of flavorful chicken. The Thai iced tea with all the add-ons was tasty but too sweet, but my son loved it. The oreo milk tea was a bit bland and not sweet at all. The egg Puff pancake was tasty and had heart shaped puffs. I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the egg Puff cuz everyone ate it all before I could take a shot at it. 🥲😒😆😅 Overall, this place is pretty good and next time I'm in the neighborhood I may just stop by and try out the food fresh and not delivered.

Ordered via DoorDash. I would have rated them 5 stars except they forgot to include straws for our Boba drinks. Not fun or satisfying to drink Boba without the straws. Next time please double check online orders so your customers won't be inconvenienced. I don't know if I will be ordering again because of this. :/

drinks and food are good, not very good at letting you know when your order is ready when in person, for example i ordered at 3:48 waited abt 14 mins then saw my order, i didnt hear my name called at all and it still said in progress on the screen. and it texted me "your order is ready" at 5:03...

The first time we ordered popcorn chicken spicy level 4 and it was extra spicy more than we expected compared with Walnut Creek location and today we tried to order spicy level 3 and it was not spicy at all. I don’t know what’s wrong with the spicy level here. It’s so disappointed

I had been going here for multiple time, the price had just been creeping up and honestly unsustainable and unjustified at this point. I am from Taiwan and I know the estimate cost for making these sugary drinks. I want to like this place but it’s really mediocre. The egg puffs are good though. And please bring back the wheel cake! Those were so good, don’t know why they took it off the menu .

This place has great drinks but their food is alright. Their calamari is super good but a downside is that they only give you a couple pieces because the calamari has so much dough it looks like a bigger piece when it's actually not. So whenever I buy it, it's super disappointing. Their popcorn chicken is pretty good though. Also, I happened to lose something and I tried calling them multiple times to see if an employee had found it while cleaning. I've called 7+ times. Each time, it would ring and then go to a full voicemail box so I would call again. No answer for any of them. I would understand if it's a busy time but I'm calling when it's not. Despite that, they have great wifi and music. It's a nice place to hang out with friends or just work.

Drink was great however customer service is lacking. Their system crashed after I paid. The manager initially refused to fulfill my order & tried to get me to pay again since it was not showing up on their system, even after I showed the money being deducted from my account. He finally gave in and made my drink. 5 minutes after leaving, their system finally sends my order information.

50 cent bag fee!! So shady. Will not come back. They don’t even give you a bag. I’ve been to hundreds of boba shops in my life. Never seen a stunt like that.

Stated laughing at us because we didn't realize you can only through the self serve kiosk not through a person. We figured it out but it was kind of disappointing to be treated like that. We weren't greeted, just stared at while we tried to order. Tofu is good. Wouldn't go here again

Real-time customer review: Are you freaking kidding me? I've been parked here for 30 minutes since my wife went in to order one drink. What is the hold up?? It's not like you're getting top-tier service anyways. The drinks are above average and the popcorn chicken and fries are pretty good, but not at the cost of ruining your afternoon waiting around.

Unwelcoming staff and very and sanitary when I walked in she was on her phone didn’t have any gloves on so a order came in an she went straight to making it without washing her hands and the same for the Asian guy he stayed on and off his phone while making ordering without changing his gloves the whole situation was just unsanitary and disrespectful to the customers here we are Patronizing your business and you can’t even have the decency To properly clean your hands and put on clothes wow you’re dealing with our food and drinks and especially during these times Covid people are getting super sick like come on now

We arrived and ordered before multiple large groups arrived. Their drinks were made before ours. It was obvious because of the order numbers. Our popcorn chicken was allowed to sit and cool while we waited for our drinks. Waited nearly half an hour. And the drink was not made correctly, with no ice cream, and wrong boba. We'll remember not to go here.

Probably the most misleading bubble tea experience I've ever had. I ordered the super fruit royal tea and the description was orange, passion, strawberry, along with other fruits. The photo also showed pieces of orange, passion fruit, strawberry, and kiwi. When I received my tea, it only had small cut of pieces of green apple and a slice of orange. I personally think green apple should never be in bubble tea and the flavor of the tea was more sour as a result. Also it was a bit over $6 base price which is one of the more expensive bubble tea prices I've seen and I could see it being justified if there were any of the advertised fruits in it, but there weren't. When I asked an employee about it, they seemed nice but they said that they must've ran out or something. To me, it seems like cutting costs and corners if they didn't have ANY of the fruits that were advertised in there. If you plan on "running out" of the good fruits, might want to change the description to random assortment of fruit to save others from getting a bunch of little pieces of sour granny smith in there. Good thing was the apple pieces floated to the top so I could fish them out with a fork and partially salvage my slightly sour "green apple tea". Also with their kiosks, it made it seem like a refund would be out of question since there was no one behind a payment system to help. My partner also had a regular milk tea with pearls and it had a slightly roasted taste and also wasn't anything I'd recommend to anyone. Very disappointed.
