Amazing! We discovered Odin from a social media post and had to check it out. WOW! Everything we had was delicious. We started off with the fundido and equites. Our group ordered the carne asada tacos, trout empanadas, and the chicken mole quesadilla for the main entrees. All had great reviews but I would say my mole (which was gluten free) was the best of all. As for drinks - whoa selection! So many mezcal and tequila options for 1oz pours or flights. I had their recommendation of tequila (Siembra Alteño) and our group sampled a variety of cocktails from the menu. I ended the night with a Nela Canela which wasn’t too sweet and had a good blend of ingredients for a great cocktail. Definitely recommend and would go back!
Wow this was an amazing experience! Chef Ramos really knows what he’s doing in the kitchen. We ordered: 1. Guacamole; this was not your usual guacamole and it was an interesting twist giving off lots of different flavor profiles in every bite. The potato tacos were a good addition too. However, the chips that came with the guacamole were a little too hard for my liking and I would’ve preferred a slightly more chunky guacamole (just to get more of the avocado flavor). Rating: 8/10 2. Chicken wings; the perfect CRUNCHY wings with a kick of spice. The sauces paired extremely well with the chicken and gave a cooling effect on the pallet from the spice. I do wish the chip toppings were a little crunchier. Rating: 8.5/10 3. For the entrees, we got the chicken Mole quesadilla and the smoked trout empanadas - I’ll be dreaming about these … that’s how good it was. Each dish took you on a journey of different flavor profiles, while still maintaining the perfect balance. I’ll definitely be coming back for these two. Rating: 11/10. 4. For dessert, we got the sweet potato flan. If was absolutely delicious (so good we were scraping the bowl). 11/10 We got drinks with this as well but to be honest the food was so good, the drinks didn’t even compareee. Bravo Chef Ramossss and Odin — highly recommend.
wow! we have been to a lot of great places recently (Bay Area is back baby!) but this is our new favourite. the dishes and cocktails are really creative and delicious and the selection of south of the border spirits is stellar. for dessert, get the sweet potato flan, it's amazing. love the gorgeous decor with interesting artwork, bold colours, mirrors, and a unique collection of corazón sacrado artifacts. finally the staff is super chill and friendly. a very special East Bay gem!
Amazing atmosphere and beautiful decor. Food was outstanding, get the beef tacos, they will change your life. The key lime pie was the best I’ve had in my life. I can’t wait to go back! Great service! The chef came out to our table to make sure the food was to our liking and the staff was courteous and helpful. The drinks were delicious and pack a punch. The only thing is, it’s gets busy BUT you can order drinks and wait outside in their nice outdoor bar area.
This is one of those rare places that is perfect from start to finish! Cool exterior with outdoor seating and window service. Then inside an amazing dining area full of great art and atmosphere. Service starts with a nice serving of Poncha. The selection of mezcal and other agaves was better than I’ve seen before. So many unique and special bottles. Staff was pleasant and so helpful. Food of course was perfect too. Overall excellent place. Definitely recommend!
I love the concept of this restaurant, the atmosphere and presentation of the dishes with do many delicious flavors . We started with the chicharrones with guacamole , the chicharron was a top for me! My favorite was the beef barbacoa empanada very filling and tasty, the cucumber & brusela salad was amazing so many flavors and very fresh. We also ordered the asada tacos, I like their special take with queso, guac and grilled onion. Super cute place and bar with amazing mezcal cocktails!!
This place is a gem. They have an amazing happy hour menu that while it may be small, it is mighty. One of the best things here is surprisingly their blue corn tortillas that are made fresh each day which are super smooth and soft. The botanitas have braised chicharon that is unlike any other I have tasted along with avocado and cheese. The tacos dorados are superb. The queso fundido con chamipiones is my favorite happy hour menu item due to the perfect mix of cheese, mushrooms, and spiciness from the salsa. Speaking of salsa they have many of them and each is paired with the menu item beautifully. The shrimp tacos are otherworldly with cheese, and peppers that make your taste buds dance. However, it was the esquite that stole my heart even though I'm not a huge corn fan I kept on wanting more and more. The desert here is fabulous and they offer a pot of chocolate and flan. Service can be a bit slow at times but it suits the vibe of the place and it felt nice to take my time and enjoy everything the place has to offer including the music which was terrific. Odin is a mezcalaria though and the cocktails they have only include mezcal, tequila, and sotol bases excluding mocktail offerings. They have more of those bases than I have ever seen and all at very reasonable prices. Overall if you have a chance to come here, do. You don't want to miss out on this place.
Amazing mezcal program. They will veganize items but you have to be very clear about what that entails restriction wise. Hugo is a mezcal expert who does the sourcing here and will chat about the history and different variations. I love the decor and lighting. I wish there were more options foodwise for vegans & those of us with dairy allergies, with less troubleshooting. It's a little off the path and closes early but is well worth the visit for any mezcal lover.
Fantastic food and drinks! Loved the authentic, creative feel of this cosy bar and restaurant.
I will never forget the esquite I had here. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Such a great gem of a restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere and great vibes. The ceviche was also a hit and the huarachito was delicious. Can’t wait to go back

What a jewel of a place this is! Beautifully decorated both inside and out, impeccable tasteful (and tasty!) without being pretentious. We tried much of the menu, and not a single disappointment. The brussel sprout salad was crispy and tangy, the chicken wings spicy and tender. The mushroom main course and the barbacoa tacos were intensely flavorful, and somehow entirely novel while still recognizably Mexican. The guacamole, paired with a pumpkin seed dip from the Yucatán that I've never found stateside, was eye opening in its complexity. Even the cocktails were unique and fresh: the pajarote ponche, with fresh tamarind and slight sweetness, was a particular delight. And the atmosphere? Charming, filled with details like hand-shaped carved chairs and cute table candles made to look like lamps, complete with mini lampshades. Someone has clearly put much time and love into this spot. We were a family with kids, but there were many young couples clearly enjoying an elegant night out. It's increasingly rare to find a place that can cater to families and singles so effortlessly. All told, this was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended. My only regret is waiting so long to come. We will be back, many times, with friends.
We tried several items across the menu to share, and everything was SO delicious! Layers of complex flavor and unique takes on classics. Great service and ambiance. I also really appreciated how they spaced out the dishes and didn’t bring everything at once. The cocktails were also amazing!!
We had our reception dinner here. The staff was great, everyone loved the food and drinks. It was a perfect evening. I can’t thank Eric enough for kicking off our wedding. Everyone was blown away.
My wife and I had a wonderful date night at Odin. The cocktails were spectacular, the staff was accommodating (even though I made a mistake on the reservation), and the food was great. We will be back. Cheers!
I just got back from Europe and it's been 2 weeks. I have been so bummed that I can't find food like I did portugal. Odin not only fixed that lack of amazing food they delivered a delicious meal along with drink and super friendly staff and patrons. Absolutely try this place out. I will be back soon.

Had to wait 15-20 minutes for our reserved table to be available. But it was worth the wait. The food came out super quick and was delicious. Most of their menu is plant based. Mezcal tasting flight was also good. Dessert was vegan and surprisingly good.

GREAT food, service could have been better. The hostess/bartender greeted our party with a head nod. A "Welcome to Odin, how can I help you?" would have been a much better greeting. The server was very knowledgeable. Management/ownership can show better leadership so that staff look like they want to be there.

This was my experience and the rating is based on it. My best friend took me there for my birthday celebration. There were apparently 3 larger groups celebrating birthdays. There weren’t enough servers for the place, although they did their best. It took a long time for service, from water to drinks to food to cutlery. The food and drinks were good. But based on service and what I would have liked to be a good birthday experience, I won’t be going back. I’m hoping that isn’t the norm. For what it’s worth, waitstaff was apologetic about our experience. But the lack of attention left a lasting impression. I don’t recommend.
We visited Odin tonight. Two vegetarians. Not a lot of options, but food was delicious. Drinks were great. Service was disinterested. Asked for a margarita with no salt, came with salt. Water came with no ask if we wanted anything. We wanted more drinks... Empty place, so not busy and attention need elsewhere. Just disinterested. We spent many evening at the original Nido and have been the backyard many times. Don't think we will come back here. Sad as we love, love, love mezcal.
This place is way overrated. The food was so over sauced and overly complicated as to make the ingredients unrecognizable. I guess that acidic substance in the empanaditas was trout but it didn't taste like much of anything under the layers of sauce. Likewise with the fish in the ceviche and whatever that was in the huarachito. (Get it, cute names! ) The service was also poor but that wasn't the fault of the working staff who worked in a good natured spirit despite being shorthanded. Management clearly made a decision to sqeeze out every penny of profit by minimizing labor costs. I do have say that the place looked cool with smart, edgy art on the walls but in the end, it was all show.

They should be really ashamed of themselves. I came here with some friends to a birthday, we got there right when they opened at 5pm. I don't know if my friend looked too Mexican to them but they sat them all the way by the bathroom, and yet the restaurant had only one other party besides us. Who in their right mind will seat a couple, with plenty of other tables by the bathroom or an exiting door? What is that telling me? You are not welcome. The service was okay, but I hate a liar when I see it. If you forgot to put an order just say so and apologize or make up for it, waiting 40 mins for 6 vegetarian tacos that looked so naked. I felt sorry taking pics of the plate, which BTW the entire meal was bland, had no flavor, pretentious trying to make Mexican gourmet based on pics but that are far from real outstanding food. I need flavor, even my grandma was rolling in her grave when I ate there and she ain't even Mexican! Shame on you. Paying around $130 bucks for 6 veggie tacos, one queso fundido where I had to scrap to find any cheese, overfiled with the vegetables, this appetizer was really a joke. Again. I am myself ashamed for them. I sent a picture of the guacamole you see posted in here to friends and they responded saying: that looks disgusting and with no flavor, and they were right. I'm curious about their mezcal drinks and their selection overall but to be served for a thisle amount of alcohol and be charged an entire bottle I rather pass. I'm not recommending this place and I definitely wish I would've gotten my money back but because I was there for a birthday party I respected my friend's choice. they also passive aggressively rushed us out of there by the time they hit 6pm and we were waiting for the tasteless food. So yeah. No, no, no and no...like a Destiny Chiild s song. NO.
