Went looking for pancakes at 5:30 in the morning for my autistic son who has a very limited diet. This was the only place who had them. They made them fast and my son loved them! Excellent service. Thanks so much!
I went to this restaurant for fish and chips but unfortunately they were out of fish so I left. I was half way to my terminal an I heard someone scream sir. I rhought well I am a SIR😂🤣😂 so I turned to see if it was me the person was referring too. It was the bartender chasing me down with my backpack. Kenny, I want to shout you out to the world for your kindness!!! I hope you have a wonderful life and a big thanks to Gordon Biersch for hiring quality people!!!!
I've came to SJ Mineta airport a little early in the morning before my flight and had sometime to have breakfast/lunch. This is the only restaurant that seems to have food that I want to have so I got a table to order some food. The lady was very attentive and pleasant, I ordered fish and chips. She was nice to fill up my water bottle with ice before I get onto the plane since it must be emptied through security. The battered fish was crispy and excellent, crispy outside and moist inside, amazing for Airport food. The chips are good too. The coleslaw was so good. I normally eat fast food when I go through the airport, but this is the first time and it's quite a surprise. The prices are not too bad for Airport restaurant compare to fast food chain if you can find one. I'll definitely try this restaurant again if I have time to sit down and have lunch or dinner.
I hesitated eating here due to the reviews despite having 3 hours to kill. The service was spot on. I was greeted, and my order was taken promptly. My food was delivered quickly, hot, and the quality was much better than a lot of airport food I've had. Standard airport prices were expected. I would not hesitate to return.
Garlic fries were amazing! The burger was pretty good, wish I could’ve had pickles with it though. Cute place for an airport bite to eat.

We fly out early from San Jose airport and always stop for breakfast at the Gordon Biersch restaurant. We’ve visited this place four times in two years and each time we’ve had good, but simple, breakfasts. We usually order the pancakes but have also tried the simple breakfast and the breakfast burrito. We prefer the pancakes which include a choice of bacon or sausage. Each of the last three visits our server has been Elisa. She is so friendly, attentive to our coffee cups, and her smile is so genuine. She is the big reason we keep returning to eat there. She deserves recognition as a server who goes above and beyond to make sure the guest are welcome and treated with respect. Thanks, Elisa.
We had wonderful service from Gupta (not sure on spelling). He was friendly, got us seated and served right away, and checked in on us. Though they don’t have any gluten free or much vegetarian, I was able to get an Impossible burger with a lettuce wrap. My husband had a Ruben that he felt was solid. A plus also for playing 80s music! Overall pretty good for airport food, surprisingly reasonably priced, and great service.
The reviews here have to be simply because it’s in an airport because we had an exceptional experience. Kenny took care of us and his light hearted humor and positive attitude made our experience enjoyable. The food was delicious. We had the Reuben and the hamburger. If we have any complaints, it’s that they don’t put onions on their burgers. Great place to hang out though with a large wrap around bar while waiting for your flight.

Had a very nice breakfast here. We were ahead of time for a flight and wanted a place to sit for an hour. Great service, many coffee refills, we split a wonderful breakfast burrito, not rushed at all, very pleasant server. Great place to lounge!
Very good food, Garlic fries where amazing, Kevin was our bartender and he provided amazing service. But! I did go back to get one more drink and reserved NO SERVICE. Not a packed bar, both woman bartenders were more concerned about how funny the jokes they were telling each other, an acknowledging an existence of a patron that's willing to pay.
Not bad for an airport restaurant. The Greek yogurt was honey and granola was delicious. I got the breakfast burrito without meat and it was pretty good. The service was great the waitress was very upbeat and helpful.
The waiters are nice, the food is pretty good for an airport. Cesar salad the chicken was a little chewy but overall good. High prices are to be expected because it’s an airport but overall it’s good.
It's a Gordon Biersch. It's what you expect, and it's the only place serving anything close to craft beer in the SJC airport despite what the signs in the terminal say. If you want more choices that Bud Lite, Blue Moon, and Modelo on draft, this is the place to go.
It's airport food, so there is a particular expectation of poor quality. I ordered a cheeseburger and a beer and had no issues. It was medium cooked, which was perfect for me and the staff was friendly.

The food (fish and chips, and a beer to wash it down) was satisfactory but the server was unwelcoming, spoke in monosyllables, was disinterested and borderline rude. I was unhappy enough to leave a very low tip.
At the risk of damning with faint praise I'll say that GB met all my expectations and that I'd recommend it to anyone needing a meal at SJC. Not only that I'd urge anyone with a flight out of Terminal B to make the walk to the other side to eat there. I'm a bit spoiled by flying out of Portland OR where any establishment with a presence in the city proper to offer airport fare at the same prices they charge in town, so it's a bit unfair to complain about prices elsewhere. With that said in comparison to what other sit down places charge at SJC GB is reasonable. As for the rating, no one can reasonably expect a finely appointed atmosphere, sophisticated dishes, or gracefully attentive service at the airport. It's enough to have a pleasant meal, promptly delivered that allows you to have a chance to relax and enjoy yourself before heading to the gate. It would be unfair to restaurants whose mission is to deliver a complete dining experience to give something at the airport more than 3 stars, so with that and the preceding comments in mind GB is a perfectly good place to seek out a meal (and if you, unlike me, are a beer drinker something to go with that meal).
They give you large tumblers of water and ice. They will top up your water bottle with ice for you also The chicken burger was rather average and rather on the dry side. I think it could have done with more avocado, lettuce, tomato and sauce. I got one slice of tomato. You do get a choice of garlic chips or regular chips with the burger. It is a good place to sit to wait for your flight though so I'm not complaining. Lots of tables for twos at regular height and counter height. No power chargers here though. They have sports on their TVs here. Popular with travelers. Table service.
Had to shell out $50 for 2 mediocre kobe burgers and a beer. Considering the cost, the burgers were rather disappointing. I never thought I'd say this but the burger buns at McDonald's are probably better. Garlic fries were ok. The service was fast and the bartender was a nice guy. The highlight of the dinner was the Warriors game which allowed my wife and i not to concentrate on the food.
I ordered an Impossible burger with cheddar cheese and fries. The burger had fake gloppy “cheese” and the fries were uncooked on the inside. I heard the stressed waiter tell another customer that she was overwhelmed because she had to cover all the tables but had she checked in with me I could have let her know that the fries were not cooked. I’m sure it’s a stressful job but for the price and expected tip, it’s still necessary to check in with your guests to make sure all is well with their meal. The pineapple juice was excellent. 😅
I decided to eat breakfast here while waiting on my flight in the San Jose Airport. Service was good and quick. I ordered the breakfast platter. Umm, it was okay. For roughly $13, I got 2 slices of bacon, eggs, sourdough toast and some terrible breakfast potatoes. Everything else was pretty good though. The only other negative is that they only had strawberry jam (which I’m not a fan of).
Service was great. DON'T ORDER EGGS!!! I Literally started feeling nauseous within 2 mins of eating them. Idk if they were old to begin with, but something about the eggs just aren't right.
Ordered the Pastrami Rueben Sando… light on the pastrami and sauerkraut, but lots on the grease… garlic fries were a 5/10…

I usually enjoy taking photos and sharing them in my reviews. However, on this particular occasion, we were in search of a dinner spot to relax before our flight, as we had a two-hour wait before departure. The name of this restaurant caught our attention, and we were expecting a variety of dinner options. Unfortunately, the menu consisted of unappetizing dishes that could hardly be considered proper entrées for a sit-down dinner. Given the limited options within the terminal, we reluctantly decided to dine here. To our dismay, when we were seated, the table had not been properly cleaned. Moreover, a couple of side options we had requested never made it to our table. I must give credit to our server, who was friendly throughout our meal. However, he did forget a few of the items we had asked for. The garlic fries lacked the expected garlic flavor, however, the cheese curds were decent, although the accompanying sauce was insufficient to dip every cheese curd in. Overall, our dining experience fell short of our expectations, and we were left feeling somewhat dissatisfied with the available options. I would rate this establishment two out of five stars. While our server was pleasant, the forgetfulness and lackluster flavors were disappointing. We had hoped for a better dining experience given the limited choices in the terminal.
Bad service, bad food. Soggy hamburger with no real flavor, their "famous" garlic fries were horrible. Didn't look terribly busy, yet my burger took about 40 mins and water sat empty for a while. Don't understand how an airport eatery can be so slow. Don't they know that most every customer has a plane to catch and a limited window. Super bummed at this dining experience. "I feel so unsatisfied." (say aloud w Russian accent).
I feel like the quality has really dropped. I received the wrong order and the waitress just shrugged it off instead of correcting the error. Burger was overcooked and the fries were bland. The area was dirty and when prepping a table next to me the table wasn't wiped down or anything. I usually visited here when traveling to silicon valley but I think those days are over. Shame, it used to be decent food.
Food reminds of my childhood. The part where I am eating burgers at the local community pool that sells burgers for a dollar. When they say "Classic Cheeseburger", they are true to their word. Lettuce and a single slice of tomatoes with no pickles nor onions. Fries portions are also very smalll. For $18.50, I would have expected more.
Waiting 9 hrs for a flight, so time to kill and stopped here for an order of wings (lemon pepper) and a can of Guinness. Service at my table was good and in observing service to to others also appeared quick and friendly. Beer and wings came quickly. The wings were very tiny and dry. no electrical for charging phones, etc at the tables or even at the bar. Good service + * Really poor wings - * Had Guinness (in can) + * No electrical anywhere - **
The service was great. The food was actually worse than high school cafeteria food. I am not kidding. It looks delicious and then you eat it and immediately realize you've made a mistake ... Now to wait for the bill !!! Yikes !!!
Don’t waste your time. Food is all pre-made and they warm everything in the microwave. They have a small but decent selection of beer and if that’s all you need, then you’re fine. My Chicken wrap was meh at best, but would have been good had it been freshly made.
Someday you may find good god and service st an airport. This ain’t it. You might think since the service is slow it’s being made fresh, just for you. Nope. In “airport stars” its average. Maybe there’s a better choice at SJC
Umm... here’s what they do when they serve you draft beer. They serve it in a pitcher which they store in the refrigerator. When you order fresh draft beer, they actually poor it out of the pitcher that’s been sitting in the fridge. End result - flat beer that doesn’t taste any good. Not cool. Not cool at all...

Most of the staff act and treat customers like they are annoyed that the customers are there, that they are MASSIVELY bored with their jobs, hate their jobs, and think they are above their jobs. They walk about as slow as possible with zero enthusiasm. Every once in a while you run into a pleasant person… they must be unique or new because they are the exception, most definitely not the norm. And here’s the kicker… it’s most of the restaurant staff at all the Atlanta airport dining spots! They must hire the worst most unmotivated people and then pay them very poorly. ATL is the busiest airport in the world… but probably one of the worst run airports… especially in food and beverage. It’s run as poorly as the city… and the city is a disaster!

Stopped by while I waited for my flight, there were zero customers, I tried to sit at a high top table by the aisle, and was told not to cause “no servers were working in that area” It was literally 3 steps away from the regular dining room!!! Just blocked by 3 chairs. No wonder there were no customers!! Seems the service staff doesn’t want to work. Stopped at the bar, the bartender was also rude. I asked for a beer , and as if delighted, he said “we don’t serve alcohol until after 6” this I can understand, but now I know why every other spot was filled with guests except them. Good. Stay losing money
I have been sitting in a fairly empty establishment. The waitress has neither acknowledged nor looked at me for 10 minutes. She spoke to everyone except me. I finally asked the other patrons if I looked invisible. Their answer was no. Someone came after me and she acknowledged them straight away. She then went back to several patrons asking if they needed anything and one finally. One said no but she's been waiting. It was at that point she decided to acknowledge me. By then ,I no longer wanted to spend money at a place that didn't value me enough to acknowledge me. So naturally, I left. I train professionals in patient and customer experience for a living. This would be a failure to meet or exceed my expectations as a consumer. I would like to believe that this was an anomaly but it was the only experience I have had with this business. I travel multiple times a month and I will not be returning to this establishment. For the sake of other patrons, please train your staff to acknowledge all patrons in a timely manner.
Service was really good to leave before I get the trash instead anything to eat. I didn't check google rating before I entered, and now I'm so glad I didn't pay anything here. Server is acting like who drop the class at elementary school, he needs life lesson specially in attitude. thank you and keep it up~! then you will get super 1 star~!
The bartender was Michael. He didn’t even igknowledge my boyfriend for 25 minutes when he had his card in his hand out at the bar. Then when he decided to actually igknowledge him he sold him 2 old fashions for 52.60 no itemized receipt ? One girl said “only micheal” is allowed to ring people up. Seems like Michael is ripping people off. Then hands him is drink with the check and said “hope this is what you were looking for” what a jerk!! This is an airport you’re going to try to charge 52.69 for 2 drink plus he threw you $7 cash??? Are you racist against white people or something bro? What’s your beef? Or you just like ripping people off. Hope your coworkers and boss see this. The wrong guys is running the show over here.
The staff were too busy complaining about a colleague to notice that I was there waiting to order. They didn’t know if the kitchen was open or closed. I paid the extra $3 for chicken in ceasar salad and it was just half a chicken tender. Terrible overall experience, I would avoid this place if possible.
Very slow food service even with just two salads. The pear salad sounded good, but it came without pears because they didn't have any fresh ones. Chicken on the salad (fried, boneless breast) was quite tasty, but not worth the price.
Sat for 10 minutes while bartender continued to complain LOUDLY that all her guest check out at the same time and it's too much. Its an airport bar.... if you can't handle making money then let someone else.
Beer was flat, medium burger was on the burnt side of well, garlic fries were stale, and the price was about twice what I would expect to pay for such a lousy meal outside of an airport. In the bright side, service was reasonably attentive considering the lower server to guest ratio.
Staff was friendly and seemed overworked, almost frantic - although I think the bottleneck was the kitchen. Fish and chips are hard to mess up, but the fries were rubbery and just slightly warm. The fish was terrible. Again, rubbery and chewy and lightly warmed. Anyway, airport food. You don't get what you pay for...
They attempted to cook my burger medium rare twice, and both times was given well done. My wife said the chicken tastes microwaved. The menu is also misleading and lists avocados for the burgers and sandwhiches but instead you just get a cheap guac spread. Prices and description certainly don't match the quality. I would only come here for beer in the future.
Our server was great - but the iced teas we ordered tasted like we were drinking out of glass lined with Clorox and the food was LESS than marginal. Honestly disgusting.
Service was fine if you date at the bar, beer was okay, the food was AWEFUL. I will post the description and the product so you can see... from the smooshed hamburger bun winstead of ciabatta to the pathetic excuse for "world famous garlic fries". Chicken tasted microwaved, fries were cold, and a spoon full of garlic was plopped on the fries.... Do not go here unless you are starving. Waste of money.
