Compared to other fast food places on Clark, in Orcutt, this place blows the others out in regards to customer service. McDonald's is bad and the Starbucks at Bradley is the worst Starbucks ever, for timeliness. So thanks JITB
They have always got my order right and the food is what I expect from them. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Actually this location has the best staff of any fast food place I go to.
My wife and I had a very good drive-thru experience. The young man and young lady who were working the drive-thru were very friendly, very polite. We will probably go again while in Santa Maria JUST because of their courtesy and excellent spirit.
There was definitely a management change after Covid. I used to hate coming here, but whoever they hired to replace the old grouchy manager has really improved the service. I come here often now, good job!
Best Jack in the Box !!! I've been buying fast food from Jack for decades. This Jack is the Best of all the Boxes bar none! From San Pedro to Paso Robles Ventura Las Vegas to Santa Barbara the one in Orcutt on Clark Ave at the 135 served the Best food prepared perfectly and hot ! I've been driving by for 5 years now and for some reason, I went by and this time, I decided "wait a minute I'm too hungry, I better go back", I'm not going to wait another twenty minutes to get to Jack in Lompoc. So I actually turned around on Highway 1 about 3 miles up the road and turned around and went back! Glad I did honest. The manager was training the new staff they were so busy getting quite a few orders but the drive the young kids didn't acknowledge the two other general ahead of me so I went and wash my hands and face. I came back they still hadn't gotten the orders. The three of us laughed. I figured I'd just go order in the Drive-Thru, just entire crew was focused on the drive-through orders! lol Good move, alignment quickly you order was taken without a hitch and correct change with receipt and a friendly smile with a cordial greeting. As the youthful employees handed me the bags of fresh food which filled the car with it's aroma. Fresh French Fries ! Better than McDonald's!!! I've never had a better friend I don't know what they're doing now what change to place but those are the best Jack in the Box french fries in McDonald's I don't even go to McDonald's because that's the only thing McDonald's has I would eat. They're better than in and out flies!!! I thought what are they doing these are great!!! Then outside drove further down Highway 1 I got the Buttery Jack out and Wham Bam holy cow ! I think they even had Romain lettuce along with the onion slice and cheese. It tasted better then Paso's #2 ... Was it because I was hungry? Nope! The buns had been toasted or something, everything was a bit different, and fresher. I was drinking Zero water so no sugar rush or any taste bud interference. The food was GREAT, Hot Fresh, and served with a genuine smile. By kids that were enjoying working 😊 I'm glad I turned around and went back. PS The next night I hit Lompoc on H and was pleasantly surprised by the service and food again. Something good is going on with Jack

Honestly, I never thought I’d be giving a Jack in the Box a 5-star review, but I went after work at 12:30 am on Saturday, and the gentleman was so sweet and upbeat. The food was hot and delicious. I was genuinely impressed by this place and felt it deserved 5 stars.
I usually only go through the drive-through. I have found their service to be quick but friendly. I am at the point where I’m depending on this cause I’m always busy and I know if I go in there I’m gonna get my food right away and it’s not gonna hold me up from my day.

Let's just say it. The Jack tacos are a guilty pleasure. Something you enjoy but never admit. A road trip favorite. Jack has really upped their game with fast good quasi gourmet burgers, fries, etc. Bacon Swiss Burger anyone? And the variety. I don't eat here often so I am always amazed at the new specialty items they have. You can also have your soda about a zillion ways like cherry or vanilla coke, Peach tea, etc. So if you need a quick meal or want a fast food treat Jack's will take care of you.
This is a great place to stop for a snack and time of the day or night. The store offers great food and a custom-mixing soda machine. The view from the restaurant is really nice, and the inside is clean and modern. Because Jack's is open 24-7 it's a good place to go if you need a bite after a long drive on the freeway.

The customer service has noticeably turned around, and my recent experiences have been very positive. Orders are now prepared accurately, and the food is made promptly without unnecessary delays. The employees now have great customer service and are very friendly. It is clear that management and staff took the feedback seriously and made an effort to improve both service and efficiency. Consistency and attention to detail have made a big difference, and it has not gone unnoticed. I appreciate the effort that has been put into correcting past issues and providing a much better overall customer experience. Thank you to the team for making these improvements. I rarely leave reviews, but my experiences with Jack in the Box have been consistently disappointing enough to speak up. The customer service is some of the worst I’ve encountered in fast food. Employees are often rude, inattentive, and seem completely disinterested in helping customers or correcting mistakes. Just about every visit, my order has either been completely wrong or missing items altogether sometimes both. Whether it's forgotten fries, the wrong sandwich, it feels like quality control and attention to detail are completely lacking. What’s worse is that when I try to address the issue with upper management, I'm ignored I have put a complaint in and was told I would receive a call, and never did. It’s incredibly frustrating to pay for food you don’t receive, especially when you’re on the go and don’t realize it until you’re already gone. At this point, I’ve lost trust in this location, and I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable meal or even basic respect as a customer. Jack in the Box needs to seriously reevaluate their hiring, training, and customer service standards. Always a good spot
You can never go wrong with Jack in the box. I feel like I have written several referral but this is the first for this location. It's quick and convenient. There is never a wait when I visit and they service is exceptional.
Customer ahead of me that went through the drive thru asked to talk to the manager. But there was no one on site. Strange! The floor behind the counter was filled with trash. The young man who waited on us was quite nice and resolved the customer problem.
I got off work at 1:00am Sat 6/25/22 & placed an online order from Jack's in Orcutt, CA. Google showed it was open until 2:00am. I went to pick up my order at 1:06am & the staff member at the drive-thru window said they are CLOSED. I told him I had JUST placed an online order & it's been paid for. All he said was "I'm sorry I can't do anything about it- you'll have to call tomorrow and talk to a manager to get your money back". I was going out of town, so I couldn't get my refund the next day, but I did go by there on 6/27 & told the manager what happened. He needed to see my online receipt. The only problem was the app wasn't working so I sat in the Jacks dining room for 15 minutes, trying to get it to work-to locate the receipt, but to no avail.. He did eventually give me my refund & he threw in a free soda. Jack-in the Box corporate REALLY needs to step it up & update the store hours of their franchises ASAP. THE experience was annoying & EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. I emailed the company as this was my 3rd experience of this happening & no response yet. I do appreciate the manager at the Orcutt location trying to resolve the issue!
My family use to enjoy this place and was out go to spot but over the last several months the store often is closed during regular hours, closing early and we have even had them close with in line in the drive through! Have heard they are having staffing issues but that is unconfirmed. The food when we can get it is the same quality it was. Just hope they can fix the being closed issue.
It's Jack in the box. What can I say, the food is typical fast food, the time in the drive threw is longer then most fast food restaurants. Got my order right and was on my way. Their milk shakes stand out the most I. My opinion, otherwise the food pretty much is average
They are always pleasant and get my order right about 70% of the time.
The place was clean and conveniently located just outside the freeway. Another burger place if you ask me. Nothing exceptional but as I said very convenient if you need to grab a bite while travelling North. The restrooms are also super clean so can't complain.
Asked for 2 ranch on the side and she says she has to charge me (only location to Ever tell me this and it’s only a few random employees that do so) so I say okay and get my receipt and she charged me for 2 jalapeños..? So do they Really have to charge for ranch or are they just doing it because they feel like it then charge us whatever they feel we should pay...?

It's a good place to grab a bite to eat when your in a hurry. Drive thru is pretty quick majority of the time until they get that one person who slows up the pace. A little disappointed that two tacos for $0.99 is no longer 99 cents, but even with the bump in price...it still isn't too bad. The deals they have are pretty good but I do get a messy burger or cold fries from time to time. So it might not be hot or perfect all the time but dont complain too much cause overall it does have pretty decent food for its prices. I've had better luck when I go after midnight for some reason.

Used to come here all the time, service is usually pretty slow, but this time was exceptionally slow, I ordered a medium curly fry and it took 14 minutes to get it, worst part was that people who ordered after me got their orders before me, and they had curly fries! Customer service is alright, but service is slow
Food is either warm/cold or hot (only during lunch time) and you'll be lucky to get your drink right.... I've even had to help the person at the window a few times to give me my exact change back.

I always have problems with this jack in the box. The staff are rude and condescending, the fries are always stale, they don't give you napkins or sauce if they ask you to wait out front for your order, then they still manage to forget something in your order, or is wrong entirely, and they also make you wait for the food for 25 minutes while the rest of the drive through gets their food. Don't go here. Go to literally any other Jack in the box.
They never get the order correct. We were told to leave and not come back because we complained to the manager about the order being wrong. We had to call the police to get our money back. And the whole time she was doing the refund she was speaking in Spanish to the other workers about us. I know just enough Spanish to know it was not nice.
Horrible customer service. Tonight I sat in the line for almost 40 minutes just to get to the order speaker box. By that time you're boxed in and can't leave so you're just stick waiting another 20 to 30 minutes to get to the window. They are always busy at night so they should predict the staffing to support that. I asked at the speaker for sauced and napkins and then I got my food and they didn't even give that. Then they needed to charge for additional sauces that I asked for to begin with. Honestly the training for staffing and management needs to be fixed. I shouldn't have to drive all the way to the other side of town just to get semi decent service.
It's the one fast food I like, that is close by and convenient. But some of the crews working during the last 3 times I went, for a late night dinner, should not be working in the food service industry. Bad attitude, horrible service and left me not trusting, they hadn't done anything to my food.
that lady who works the drive thru window is terrible 30-40 min wait time every time she is working, spending more time running her mouth then doing her job. asking the same cars multiple times if they have ordered yet. of course its the same car you haven't given anyone any food for the line to move ...
Paid $25 for two meals. Asked for sauce, was told it was in the bag. When I got home I had nothing. Food was also barely warm.
I was the only customer when I arrived, ordered one meal combo and the large spicy popcorn chicken box. Fries were cold, popcorn chicken was cold and mostly just small fried bits of batter, burger was OK. Didn't have high expectations and was still surprised just how bad almost $20 worth of food was. Had skipped dinner to work a 16 hour day, and was really annoyed to have wasted my hard earned money on this garbage. Enough so to write this bad review which I almost never do. Instead of saying Now Hiring on the receipt ya'll should be Now Firing, cause your employees couldn't even make a good meal with no rush and no other customers. Hadn't been to JITB in a while, won't be going back if I can help it.
They do not honor their posted drive-thru hours. I just drove there after an 8 hr shift to pick up food for me and my girlfriend, to only find it closed an hour before its supposed to close. Its daily schedule for drive-thru is open til 1am, but tonight they decided to close early.
This is their idea of a chocolate shake. Was told thats how they are. Clearly an Oregon shake but didnt want the drama. Store looks great now but everything else has tanked. Latino customer comes in 3 minutes after I was standing there waiting. Straight to the front the line. Gotta love it.

Ordered almost 50$ worth of breakfast sandwiches and hash browns, and when I opened the food my sandwiches had mold on them, tried calling but they don't answer the phone, and I was already on my way out of town.

Over night guy has no manors or respect he's very disrespectful, he treats us customers as if we don't know anything as he's the one behind the window. I'm not sure why management would put someone like him behind the overnight window. They need people uplifting not slow people who's not even trying to take a order. Day shift is good just night shift with the guy in the black hat which looks very unprofessional, with his dirty hands who's handling your food also as touching the money at the same time not good for Jack in the box in orcutt.

Went through the drive-through and was told they didn’t have a cook on shift. The only thing the employee said they could make was a soda or milkshake. Meanwhile, the line was backed up and the employee just kept repeating the same thing instead of offering any real solution. This isn’t the first time. Every time I come to this location, they’re out of something. Last visit they didn’t even have ketchup. For a store right off the freeway in a small town that stays busy, this is unacceptable. Management seriously needs to step it up. The location has potential, but the consistency, staffing, and overall service need major improvement.
