Stopped by to try it out and the service was excellent..good bar food. We ordered the Fish and chips
Truly was one of the best burgers I have had in Orlando. When we walked in, it looked like just another sports bar but when we got our food we were pleasantly surprised. We had the bacon cheeseburger, chili cheese dogs and the burger melt. It was so good. The only down side is that the TV did not have volume and the NYE party in Nashville was on. For a sports bar, it was too quiet at the beginning and then there were two different songs playing in the bar area and the kitchen clashing. Even with that experience we will be back to try more things on the menu because food was great!
The food is amazing!! We were visiting from Arkansas and we wanted food that the locals eat!! Lol!! We had the Philly, the Bacon cheeseburger, and the chili cheese dogs!! It was all phenomenal!!! And the server was awesome!!
There’s a reason this joint is a top choice for burgers in Orlando. The Texas Toast Melt was outstanding and done to perfection. Out of dozen we’ve tried, this is the best so far! Lou was a riot! He bet me a quarter about a menu item and quickly paid up! Like he said, he’s a better bartender than server! Run don’t walk to this place to watch the race or play some pool!
Quite a bit better than I expected from the looks on the outside. I've passed by this place and finally stopped by because I wanted to see one of the live music acts (really good stage and sound btw). The whisky list is MASSIVE and you can order 1 oz samples or 2 oz full pours. They have everything from the cheapest whisky to Pappy's with a lot of hard-to-find options. I had the jerk bowl for dinner and although it wasn't spicy at all it was delicious and filling. I also tried the Mac n cheese bites that were clearly made in-house and the calamari, which was a very large portion. They have a lot of daily events too. Definitely going to check out the Wednesday poker night.
Haven't been here in maybe 20 years, my brother came to visit from CT and wouldn't stop talking about how good the wings were so I had to go back and give it a try, I sure am glad I did, these garlic wings were amazing!!! They will most definitely be seeing a lot more of me and my daughters for sure!!!
Sweet corn nuggets, Chicago dog basket, dirty pickle martini 🍸…amazing new place…Lou was the best and was wonderful to talk to. Looking forward to future visits
First time visitors! Lou took amazing care of us. The drinks and food were 🔥. We had chicken tenders and tots, cooked perfectly. The Queso and chips were 🔥🔥!! We’ll def be back!!
I hadn’t been to Johnny’s Other Side in a few years and man did I miss it. I went to meet up with some friends for a Teacher Appreciation Event which was hosted by Johnny’s and had a terrific turn out. Johnny himself suggested the Conch Fritters which were absolutely fabulous. Large tasty and filled with delicious tender conch meat with a delicious remoulade sauce. What a great appetizer. Johnny stopped back by our table and tried one since he hadn’t even tried them himself- new menu item Approved! We later split a pimento spread burger which was surprisingly good. I knew it would be good but man this one hit the taste buds in such a way I am drooling now thinking about that burger 🍔 Our server Mary was amazing and handled the crowd very nicely.
Fun relaxing and enjoyable! My friend played pool and we shared delectable desert! I believe it was Blueberry Cheesecake!
The chicken parm sandwich was ok. Not something I would order again as it was a bit dry and the crust too crunchy or overly fried. The burgers look great and the fries were very nice. Our server was very nice.
We were looking for a good classic hamburger and found it at Johnny's Fillin' Station. We had a great lunch and we'll defiantly be back!
This place is fantastic! Extensive tequila and bourbon lists. Great food! Awesome music. Ideal dive bar type atmosphere. Think it is going to become my regular go to!
Great local bar and a fantastic place to grab a bite. Orlando is full of run-of-the-mill chains but this place is a wonderful way to get away from the tourism of the city and have a great meal at a fantastic price. The food was so good, we were back in less than 24 hours to try it again.
Wow just wow. Been wanting to try this new place the exterior painting on this establishment is amazing too. The food was on point.
First and foremost I always have Jaime as my waitress. She is the best. Always great service! Personal and provides great recommendations. Service- Bar-non! Everyone at Johnnys is great. Love the atmosphere and the bands. Great place for a drink or food.
Absolutely wonderful. Good atmosphere. Excellent service and food that should be labeled as gourmet instead of fast food.
I come here for the food and to hang out in a bar for a bit, but I’m not a regular. They do American bar food really well, especially the Chicago dog. Unlike Portillo’s they get the proportions of the toppings right and it’s served on a poppy seed bun. The dog itself is great and I’m betting it an actual Vienna Beef dog. Tots fried to perfection! The service is always great when I go and the juke box doesn’t annoy me. The small burgers are really good and a plus for people who don’t eat big portions.
Our first time visiting this place. Food was great! Service was great as well! Both ladies were very attentive and very polite. Nice atmosphere indoors, lots of cool signs, posters and memorabilia. Very reasonably priced as well. Between us three we had the chicken Philly, tuna melt, and chili dogs along with tater tots, curly fries, and onion rings. All very good. We will be back for sure!
Always a great burger and experience ! It has been my all time go to place for many times
The food was super tasty, and the service was really good too , the vibe was fun . tried their mac & cheese bites and classic burger definitely coming back !!
Not from the area so decided to go here after a recommendation from a friend. Menu was what you would expect from a sports bar. Had burger and a patty melt, onion rings and mac and cheese bites. All the food was great and we had excellent service. Had lots of TVs showing all the college football games. Definitely recommend and will come back when I'm in the area.
We love Johnny's. Monday nights the burgers are 6.00, and delicious. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but the food makes up for it!
Johnny's is a great place to watch a game and share a meal with friends and family. The food is pretty reliable overall but the burgers are your best bet - pretty amazing actullay. Prices add up quickly so you gotta watch your tab - lots of addons. But it's worth it. You tend to hang out longer. Consider it a tax. Anyplace you can hang out and watch a parrot drink a beer while you eat food and watch football is pretty special.
Love this place, anything on the menu is done very well as you ordered it we all had burgers and fries, of course one of my granddaughters had to have extra pickles, they accommodated her, this place has won several awards for Orlando's best burger
Our food orders were delicious!!! Service was good. Cool atmosphere with many TVs. No wait for a table. Plenty of parking.
I had some delicious chicago dogs here! Amazing service from Kayla!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For a place that's mostly focused on burgers and sandwiches the fish and chips is pretty good
Great place to watch football. Staff was great, good food selection and good vibe.
Good drinks, great food, and a laid-back atmosphere. Good place to meet friends and have a drink or a bite to eat. Pool tables as well for those who like to play.
Had the best meal and time last night. Wife and I had “date night”, ALLE took such good care of us and was so nice as our server. We both ordered and received incredible burgers and deviled eggs and enjoyed outdoor music and a fun atmosphere. I haven’t been here in a year—we live a bit away. It was great to be back. Also got a cold brew coffee to-go which I enjoyed this AM! Thanks for a great meal and experience. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Just dined in and I was very happy with my overall experience. Never been to this restaurant before but I was surprised. Affordable menu prices and phenomenal food. We ordered the boom boom shrimp and the wings. The shrimp were large and full of flavor. The wings were huge! Cooked perfectly and tender: not to mention the blue cheese!! 10/10 would recommend. We will be back! This is a hidden gem in Orlando.
This place has been here a long time, and I still can’t believe it’s our first time here, but it definitely will not be the last! Loved everything about it! The atmosphere could well be described as an upscale sports dive bar (super chill with a lot of tv’s and some pool tables), the bartenders, Lou and Tiffany were entertaining and extremely attentive! The food? Five stars! We’re leaving now and already looking forward to coming back with friends :)
The burgers and drinks were so good!
Great little local dive bar with excellent bar food and entertaining bartenders :) they have pool, a jukebox and clean bathrooms. The Johnnys in the same parking lot has live music and activities fairly often with great vibes!
We had my Father's end of life meet up and food services after a last-minute change up became necessary. Andy was able to accommodate us, approx. 35, without hesitation. Being from the Conway area made this even more special for our Family.!! The staff did an Amazing job taking care of us during this difficult time. Thank You Johnny's Filling Station!!! The Hayman Family
Great local sports bar, claims to have the best burgers in Orlando. Food was good, atmosphere was typical Sports Bar, service was excellent. My server's name was Ara and she took very good care of me and all of the guests at the bar. They have NFL Sunday Ticket so it's a great place to go and watch a football game.
Stopped in for happy hour and a bite to eat with a friend. The drinks are reasonable and Lou is a great bartender. The burgers, fries and onion rings are the best around. I love the neighborhood bar atmosphere and will definitely be back.
We moved in down the street a few months ago and have been here multiple times. The food, service, and overall vibe are incredibly good and consistent. We have enjoyed everything we’ve tried here and couldn’t recommend this spot more! A solid staple in the SODO community. Much love to Johnny’s and their entire team!!! :)
Nice local restaurant and bar. Good menu ans food.
Food was fantastic. I had not been here in a while and decided to stop by for lunch last week. The food was just as good as I remembered, the texas toast melt and was extremely good in portion. My waitress was extremely pretty and very attentive, and had the perfect hockey game on for lunch. I will be back soon.
I didn t eat this time and it s been years since I ve been there. Was with a group of people and only stayed an hour? It s a local dive near me.
It was a drunk night, wings 10/10 I hate slimy skin, asked them to be fried hard! the sweet chili wings were SO GOOD!!!!!! I wish I could remember that angels name. She was definitely a server, not a bartender...had her own things going on and still acknowledged me. 10/10 a stranger named Chris recommended this place to me and he did not lie.
Very nice place and the attention is awesome, this place was recommended to me by a friend from Houma two years ago and just today my family and I had the honored to visited, we had the Filling Station Signature burger but they offered several different dishes that you can enjoy with your family, the place is easy find and has a safe parking area.
I came inside with the familiar atmosphere I witnessed years ago with Brass Ring Pub in north Palm beach. A tavern/pub long standing joint that has been around since 1985 is what this place has in common and I almost felt that same vibe with excellent service and nice people in general. As usual and similar to my order at BRP, I went on empty and ordered 10 wings with fries and a Bleu Burger only to be surprised at how I just found my burger/wing joint of choice in Orlando. Prices werent horrible for wings, with the 10 jumbo wings, fries, and two slices of garlic toast, deal being $18.50 which I felt was worth it for how much food I got and how big the wings were. Ordering the bleu burger next I was highly impressed at how smokey and delicious the burger was. The bleu cheese complemented the smoky flavour of the meat. Overall, everything I ordered was insanely good and the service was super friendly. Only downside was that they didnt have Dr. Pepper or Pibb but I was still satisfied with a Coke.
Loved the atmosphere. Kayla made the experience 10/10. She made incredible drinks and made sure we had everything we needed!! Go visit kayla she will take amazing care of you
Place was great food delicious and the drinks super cold!!! A nice ba, friendly staff, safe place clean!!
Great spot!! Very nostalgic, great atmosphere, great menu, great beer selection! One of our favorite spots. Will add photos next time!
I feel the need to make a review about this place; I was there a couple of days ago and I watched a situation regarding seating get totally out of hand. What I will say is that there are 2 sides to every story and Johnnys staff handled the situation with the utmost professionalism. The situation was taken control of in the best way, my food and drinks were great, I had the opportunity to meet the owner and he is awesome!!! I will continue to go to the establishment as often as I can! Highly recommend!
Updated recent review: We went to the Otherside of Johnny's Filling Station to eat outside (not the main building), and though the food was good, it cost more money than the inside restaurant, and our server was horrible. Horrible! It was painful to give that girl the $20.00 tip... however, waitressing is hard and I could not, not tip her. ...oh, but for the first time in my life, I was tempted to leave $1. We had to flag her down to refill every drink... as in, she would take the one cup and turn before we could give her a 2nd cup... we asked her for condiments, and had to fetch them from another table before the food got cold. One fry 'basket' was full, one was 1/2 empty... no way to ask her about it because she never checked on us after the food arrived. I went to the bar to get our check... and had to go back there to bring her the credit card to pay for it. Management: 2.20.2026 2:08 pm There were 5 of us. ONLY FIVE. They were not busy... plenty of open tables. It's tough... we will probably go back... but though her name is not on the check (server: Otherside S), I will know her and seek another server or management before I allowed her to wait on me/us again. Went there late night and sat outside, live music, great wait staff, food was above par! We had wings, fries, burgers, appetizer, salads, and would order it all again! Lexi D was our waitress and she was friendly, helpful, kept our drinks full, and added value to our evening out! Love this place! A go to every time we visit family in Orlando! (almost monthly!) Enjoy!
We had 20 people for a pre-wedding party and they treated us great. I believe Sara was the server and did an awesome job taking care of us. The food was hot, fresh, and tasted great as well.
Today was my first trip to Johnny's Fillin' Station, meeting a friend for lunch. He had the Ruben, I had the Swiss mushroom burger, and both of us had tater tots on the side. Service was fast and friendly, and neither of us had any complaints about the food, which didn't take long to show up and was delicious from start to finish. Even the tater tots were a little bit crisper than I've usually seen without being burned. Like I said, it was my first visit there, but it sure won't be the last!
Food is great. Atmosphere is great. Staff are better than great. Really enjoyed visiting here and will be back again.
Me gustó mucho el ambiente, la atención y la comida.
Excelente sitio lo recomiendo al máximo 👍 👌
Excelente ambiente
Pretty good food at a decent price. Cool locals spot. Live music at Johnny other side usually.
Stopped by for lunch on the 4th of July. It's been a while since we've been here, and we were looking forward to having their burger again. Their burgers have been voted best burger in Orlando many times, and when they haven't been #1, they've been top contenders. We were greeted and taken care of by Serra C on this visit. Serra was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional and took great care of us. Since it was the 4th of July, we decided to try their hotdogs, and I'm glad we did! The hotdogs had the required "snap," and the basket comes with 2 dogs and fries. We were able to split the basket and a cheeseburger and left quite satisfied. Cheeseburger ($10.65) and hot dog basket with fries ($11) and Yuengling 20 oz ($4.65). They also have t-shirts and ball caps with their logos and some interesting sayings for sale. We were going to pick up a couple of t-shirts but they didn't have the ones we liked in our sizes or colors. We'll be back again when we're on that side of town and craving some good food and service 😋
We frequent Johnnys usually 2-3 a month for lunch...service is hit or miss good burgers n buffalo chicken sandwich...Johnnys ""Otherside" which is open air pole barn is much better IMO than the inside restraunt
This place is a good place for lunch, dinner, and anything in between. It's a great place for a pit stop to grab a quick bite to eat, drink, and be merry. The menu has a variety of food options from awesome wings (I recommend the sweet thai chili), sandwiches, and burgers (they say it's the best in town), salads, plenty of appetizer options and desserts. They have half off appetizers on Tuesdays. The portion sizes are also pretty big. They also serve shots, mixed drinks or cocktails, sodas, water, and beer. Between the pub with the pool tables and an outdoor patio with tables and chairs accessible from inside the bar and outside the bar, as well as family oriented seating with tables in a separate corner of the building, to high top tables with stools along the walls as well as seating in the middle of the bar by the pool tables. There is two different areas to use the restroom, one on each side of the bar. The jukebox has a variety of music choices. Johnny's Other Side is a covered outdoor seating area for dining with larger crowds and live music as well. There is also plenty of extra parking in the back. There are always different sports, news, and live events on multiple tv's to watch from also. The pool tables are only a dollar per game, and most of the pool sticks are in great condition. Overall, this is a nice, chill environment for singles, couples, locals, and families with children.
I’d like to give 4 1/2 stars, but I don’t think the app will let me. Burgers were very good, as expected since they’ve won awards for them. Onion rings were quite good as well. The surprise was a very good, legit key lime pie! Decent beer selection, too. Looks a little rough from the outside but overall enjoyable.
Great late night bites for sure I’ve passed this place so many times and had no idea it was a little gem. Was super surprised by how delicious the burger was. Took the bartenders recommendation on preparation and *chefs kiss* perfection. This place also has a pretty cool vibe, very “cheers” where all the people I saw come in were friends with the staff. Food came out really quickly considering they seemed to have a lot of phone app delivery’s coming in.
Food is great, had the 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger with large slices of onions, lettuce, tomato and large spear of fresh dill pickle on the side and it was awesome. Service was okay. Waitress was personable but seemed more interested to chat with the regulars at the bar. Table was sticky from previous wipe downs and not cleaned properly. Atmosphere was dark and multiple tv monitors were muted with CC which made it hard to follow for old eyes :-)). Will be back for sure.
I have ate there many times, at different times of the day. Every time things are fine, and meet expectations.
I like Johnny’s, but I’ve only been there twice for lunch. They are known for their burgers but have wings and other comfort food. This time I had an old fashioned and it was super. Recommend
Our first time at Johnny’s was a reservation for our son’s baptism with friends and family. The food was delicious and our waitress was excellent! However, I cannot give a 5 star rating due to our initial experience. The manager, with whom I coordinated the reservation, was rude from the moment we arrived. We had never been to Johnny’s before, so we did not realize that the “inside restaurant” refers to Johnny’s Filling Station and the “outside restaurant” is Johnny’s Other Side. When I inquired for the reservation, I asked for Johnny’s Other Side, so I thought she meant Johnny’s Other Side had an inside and outside section, and when we arrived both buildings appeared to be “indoors”. When we arrived, the manager said no reservations. I said “that can’t be right, we have a reservation for 11”. She then says, while serving other customers, “you’re at the inside restaurant at the filling station, I told you 7 times over email”, then turned and walked away. She did not mention such a thing, and our whole party was caught off guard by the inhospitality.
Johnny's has been around for a long time and I have to give them credit for continually making improvements to both the Fillin Station and the Other Side. The food is good and the menu has remained consistent and reasonably priced. If you still need to ask the staff where the restroom is, you might need to work on situational awareness or get your eyes checked.
Lugar muy agradable
Ordered chicken wings and they were lightly sauced. Asked for a little extra sauce because that's what makes chicken wings taste good and was told there would be an extra charge. I understand if the wings had a decent amount of sauce and if I was trying to drown them, but, when they come out kinda dry, the wings just aren't what they should be. 😡🤬
The food is pretty good here but they charge extra for everything. I ordered the blackened chicken wrap, menu says it comes with shredded cheese. I was charged extra for the cheese and when I asked the waitress about it said I must have been looking at an old menu. I told her it was on the menu I ordered from. Her response was “well that’s how the computer rings it up. I’m in no rush to go back!
I was really excited to try a burger from here but was disappointed. It is also a little costly and does not include a side. The burger was a good size but had NO flavor, needed a lot of salt. At least the mozzarella sticks were good… I will not be back unfortunately.
I don't like how you order an entree, and it doesn't come with a side!!! That's being cheap!!! Please put the fries back on your entrees!!! Please make sure your draft beer is cold??? At least, you serve it in a mug!!!
Definitely review their new policy on charging your card in $40 increments and posting holds in forty a dollar increments that will fall off in so many business days . never heard of a restaurant doing anything like this , but I guess times are changing.. From what I read every time you go over $40 they charge another $40 increment. Could be a bit detrimental for someone that’s going out on a budget.
Very very disappointed my ex husband and my son loved loved your burgers bragged to everyone how wonderful they were. Have pictures of us each enjoying your famous burgers not so famous anymore. Haven't been for a while but was looking forward to that famous burger. Was there the other night OMG it was awful absolutely awful will not brag about your place anymore if anything I will never recommend your place to anyone good luck
Came here for the first time my gf, she got the wings I got the full deluxe burger the wings were sad. Very sad no seasoning, the burger was alright nothing special.
Bacon and Bleu Cheese Burger comes with pure liquid Bleu cheese dressing and whatever slice of cheese the cook throws on top. No one asked me what kind of cheese I wanted.I received a cold slice of American cheese which was a sharp square. I talked to my server about this and the lady bartender interrupted me and the server repeatedly, saying that what I thouught I ordered isnt available here. The bartender lady said she is a manager some days. I told her that she doesn't help by interrupting me and not trying to help..what a waste of lunch money. I was charged $12.50 for a burger that said $11.25 on the menu and $2.50 for fries that said $1.50 cost on the menu. I told my server. Nothing changed. She said they just put on the menu in small print: "All prices subject to change without notice." They sure did. Wow.
I give this spot two stars for two reasons. First, when your menu says one price, but you're charged another, that's not OK. Second, when you're eating a toasted sandwich, you should be able to taste the ingredients of the sandwich, not the oil/butter alternative you soak your bread in to be grilled. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, which is my favorite, and usually like it most places I go to. Oj the menu it is listed for $13. I ordered it to go, and the check came, and it said $15.98. Now, either the computer is wrong, the prices went up, or i was charged incorrectly all together. As I got into the sandwich, all I could taste was that artificial buttery oil taste restaurants use to save a buck but charge a buck more. I'd suggest making sure your prices align in your menu to the computer and stop using whatever it is you're using to grill the breads.
What happened at Johnny's? We've been going to Johnny's for years and years, celebrating everything from birthdays to Mother's Day. The food was always good. They have a full bar and Guiness on draft. Today was a different story. We went today to celebrate a birthday. First of all, there was only 1 person drinking at the bar when we arrived. However, we waited more than 10 minutes for someone to finally take our order for drinks. We also ordered 4 appetizers. A bit later we ordered a couple of sandwiches and cheese fries. More than 20 minutes later, we still did not have our food. There was still no one else in the bar. We finally had to leave and had the sandwiches put in boxes. The photo attached is of cheese fries for $4.15. There are no more than 15 fries in the box with just a sprinkling of cheese. We were very disappointed today with the service and with the food.
Let me start with. The waitress was super sweet. The corn nuggets were pretty damned good. The wings, the garlic toast were questionable. The wife and I ordered the hot garlic wing basket. Her garlic bread was cold. The garlic on both was garlic salt. I think I lucked out and only got the garlic salt on 3 wings. I would go back to try a burger. Nothing with garlic.
The manager here is absolutely awful. The manager here was absolutely awful from the start—condescending and dismissive for no reason. I politely asked if the heat could be adjusted, and she refused, claiming she was “too busy,” despite sitting down having a drink with someone. The lack of professionalism was shocking. If you’re planning to enjoy the outdoor bar area, I strongly discourage it based on this experience.
We went to eat after a football game. We got it was steady. The the HS football team came in to celebrate for winning. Go Boone!! The server forgot about us. Never came back to check on us. We kept on saying excuse me hello waving our hands. But none of the servers acknowledged us. We had get up look for a server to get our receipt so we can pay. Never finished our food no refill on drinks l. Just horrible service. We were so... frustrated with the service. By the way they were not in weed (behind) people were getting there food. So there No reason for us waiting and never acknowledged us.
Bartender with the handle bar mustache was so rude and unwelcoming. Me and my cousin just wanted to have a nice lunch, and he killed the vibe completely right off the bat with his condescending attitude. Unbelievable.. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry my whole life, this was not a good representation of the establishment today.
Sorry 1 star across the board. Waitress was a hot mess, no personality. Ordered Captain and Coke, yeah all Soda!! Mozzarella sticks were cold and sauce was too. Very disappointed 1st time there. Place was beyond dirty....paid bill left!! Your choice, I warned you.
My fiancé did an online order for pick up 11:10. food was not given to him till 11:40. As soon we get home I took one bite into my burger and noticed it was not cooked all the way. Thought this would have been great way to start the weekend but came out to being a waste of time and money.
Didn’t give my card back shame on me for not realizing at the moment however bartender seamed jaded or over whelmed
The services of the place is the worst. When you go there everyone ignore you. And when you go to them they give you attitude without any reason. Specially the bartender that was the night i went 1/7/2o19. Everytimes i go there is the same story. Dont go there. They only nice to the people they know, Update for my google community Im writing this second review because the preview one that i wrote the owner of this place was lying about me been drunk. I just went there to pick up a order. I was trying to contact google to make him to delete his reply. He dont even know my name or how i look . I see you have alot of 1 star becaude of the same problem with your costumer service your staff give to people. Or Maybe u want me to tell you the exact time i was there so u can check your camera. I was just trying to help and the google community. #dontGoThere .......And remember ur place its public u cant ask people to stop going just because u didn’t like my review or any true good reason
Don't know the difference between BBQ sauce and ranch. Wings are average.
Food was mediocre- manager was extremely rude to our large group. I’ve actually never had a more unprofessional experience at a restaurant in my life. Waitress was rude as well. Won’t ever spend another penny there!
We were at ORMC as they stopped life support for my wife’s brother. There were 11 of us there for the passing. After the passing, we wanted to be together and go somewhere for a drink and an early dinner. So we went here. The table we sat at only had 10 chairs and the table next to us gave us one of theirs so all 11 of us could sit together. The waitress came over and said “My boss said I need to remove one of these chairs. You took one from the other table” I went to the waitress and quietly said “we did not take a chair, the next table gave us one. I told her about why we were there. I asked can we keep the chair?” (there were plenty of available chairs around). She said “I’ll speak to my boss and let her know. “ They never offered a solution. What was the eleventh person supposed to do? Stand? I saw her talking to her boss so I went up there and told her boss about what just happened and why we were there. She said “rules are rules” and you took a chair from another waitress’s table. Again, I said “we did not take it. They shared it with us. I said I’ll take a folding chair, we just want to be together during this time. I said sometimes rules like that are not good for the customer." She said. “Don’t be a jerk”. I was not being a jerk, just pleading with her. The place was not full. Lots of chairs around… The waitress took our chair and moved it back. They didn't even need it. Other family members tried to reason with her. The waitress manager was also nasty with them. We left and will never be back. They took a sad day for the family and made it unnecessarily stressful. One of the worst days in our life and all she cared about was “rules”. A good manager would have helped solve the situation. I really felt bad for the waitress. She had no choice but follow the boss's instructions. The boss lady could not see the big picture. Especially when we all tried to reason with her. That’s unfortunate.
After sitting at the bar for a while, the bartender told me my service dog would have to leave. I explained the ADA laws to her- not my job to do. She refused to take my food order. “The manager told me not to”. Some one later told me I had to leave the bar and sit some where else. She was aware this was against the law. We were sitting at the end of the bar, out of the way of everyone. My service dog behaved perfectly, unlike the staff, the whole time. She never interacted with anyone.
