Cute spot to stop. The staff was very nice. polite and helpful. The food was amazing. The pancakes were not my favorite (I’m very picky with my pancakes) but everything else amazing! Will definitely make this a stop again in the future!
Great spot, loved the food and atmosphere. Lots of Locals here so you know it's good! Had Calamari Sandwich perfectly cooked and delicious tarter sauce. Also had a cup of white clam chowder best I've ever had!!
After many years of coming to Monterey, Pacifica Grove and Carmel, we discovered a gem of a little restaurant with fabulous food, wonderful service, they have outstanding chicken fried steak, and awesome breakfast portions are abundant and the price is reasonable, must try worth the drive.Keep up the good work from Jorge and Melba.
This place is a MUST-DO! Such good food (I recommend the blueberry waffle, hash browns, and Eggs Benedict)! The service was INCREDIBLE! Alexa was so awesome and was the sweetest waitress I’ve ever had! We will definitely be back. Overall, 10/10!
The Perfect Breakfast Experience. Our first time in Pacific Grove and we were lucky to find this perfect, quaint little place located in a quaint little part of the town. Good food in general but most importantly, staff were very friendly and personable. I felt genuinely welcomed by good people. One notable was their breakfast potatoes. Usually, I'm not a fan, but theirs were very lightly seasoned and not soaking in oil but perfectly cooked. Loved it! Definitely coming back!
This is wonderful little spot! We had the nicest server, so cheery and attentive. Our breakfast was delicious, maybe the best quiche I’ve ever had and perfect lattes! I would come here over and over again if I lived nearby. Wonderful
Wonderful family ownership, excellent food, atmosphere and comfort is perfect. After work or on the weekends I always look forward to having a glass of wine and enjoying my calamari sandwich. A total local gem!
The food was prompt and delicious. service was quick and discreet coming to the table and refilling drinks. The plate prices seemed fair the overall price was a tad steep but manageable.
My wife and I come here for breakfast every time we visit the area! This place has never disappointed! Great food! If you are looking for a breakfast spot this is definitely a good choice! Great friendly service as well!
Delightful breakfast spot. Friendly rest service. Had the calamari steak and eggs which was a new idea for me. I liked it.
The Toscana omlette was fantastic. Service friendly and attentive. I can see why this is a favorite of locals.
I highly recommend the meatball sandwich and Reuben sandwich. They are exceptional. The salad that comes with it is also very good. The people are extremely nice and the portion size is generous. This was a great lunch!!
What a great place to come. We had breakfast with raspberry pancakes, the crab cake Benedict and quiche. Great food, service was amazing with Alissia. Definitely worth stopping by.
TL;DR: Great service. Like family. Great food. Go here. After forgetting that spontaneous walk-ins don’t work in Valentines Day weekend, my friend and I walked into Aliotti’s. We were greeted nicely and shown to a table which is fairly standard. In terms of food, the root beer is top tier. Usually it’ll be flat and it’s hard to find a well balanced one. Theirs is perfection. The real reason I’m writing this review is because the service here was stellar. My friend and I had asked earlier what bread they used with the garlic bread and decided not to get it in lieu of something else. As a complimentary snack for our patience, they came around with the garlic bread we had asked about earlier and the gesture was simply amazing. Although a small gesture, it was thoughtful, showed attention, and the garlic bread itself was cooked in a way that my friend who does not typically eat sourdough, loved it and noted it was like melting butter. Perfection on every level of service. The spaghetti-meatball-ravioli is a great staple of their menu. The meatballs are very obviously authentic and must be made in house. Aliotti’s really turned a bad night into one of the best ones I’ve had on an outing and they know how to provide service. I’d take this place over the other ones in the area any day.
My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast at Alito’s Victorian Corner Restaurant in Pacific Grove. She ordered the huevos rancheros, which she thought were absolutely amazing, and I had the New York steak and eggs—the steak was cooked to perfection, incredibly delicious, and moist. We also had Bloody Marys, and they were awesome—perfectly balanced and flavorful. Our server, Karina, provided perfect customer service—she was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, making our experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
The service is professional and friendly, helpful and kind, knowledgeable and timely. Every dish we tried was exceptional. The servings are large. Dessert list is long and difficult to choose from, and delicious. Casual atmosphere in a renovated old Victorian, and outdoor seating is available. I’d eat there weekly if I lived in the area.
The service is nice and friendly and the omelette I ordered was really good. Beautiful old building was very comfy.
We always visit Aliotti's whenever we are in the Monterey area, we look forward to it every time. Great food, atmosphere and a great place to finish out your day. My wife had the fettuccine and prawns which she said was excellent! I always have the lasagna, which in my opinion is the greatest dish on planet earth. Trust me, it is DELICIOUS!! We also had breakfast a couple of mornings and it was very good with lots of hot coffee. The sourdough French toast with orange glaze is very tasty as well as the buckwheat pancakes. Portions size are very good and prices are very reasonable for the value you receive. Thank you and your staff for such a great visit we will see you again on our next trip. Rod and Leslie
My wife and I got to enjoy the great meals that they offer, everything that we ordered was excellent, service great and very friendly Definitely recommend to anyone who is in the area
Tried Monterey Cafe on Alvarado but they were packed. Came to Aliotti’s based on Google Maps search and were seated right away. The coffee arrived immediately and our cups were filled throughout our meal. The breakfast menu looked packed with solid choices. Our grand daughter had the French toast and it was a beautiful appearing plate. My spinach/mushroom omelette was cooked perfectly. My fruit bowl had cherries, grapes, pineapple, strawberries, apples, kiwi, honeydew melon, blackberries and watermelon. All of the fruit was sliced by an artist and was fresh and tasty. Phyllis had the eggs/bacon/potato combo and it met all expectations. We’re 2 year newbies to Monterey and this is a FIND for us as we are venturing out more now post pandemic. Definitely be back and will try dinner also. Thanks to our waitress ( lost receipt, can’t remember her name) 😎
Omg...the idea of having calamari for breakfast...yeah, that sounded weird. But Wow, I'm so happy I chose to gamble. That was 1 of the best calamari I've ever had. And to eat it with breakfast foods is an amazing combo. I ordered a side of tarter sauce and barely touched it. It was cooked to perfection. I would travel 2 hours on a Saturday just to have that breakfast again. The chorizo scramble was such a great cheese, egg and chorizo combo full of a lot of great flavors. The service from everyone was so nice and they made you feel very appreciative for coming by. LOVE THIS PLACE!!
It's my favorite place to go in Pacific Grove. The food and service are great. It's a nice venue in a converted Victorian home.
This was a delightful little spot, with service that makes you feel like you live in the neighborhood and visit regularly. Food was fantastic and the overall vibe was 10/10
Incredible food from what seems to be a great family! We started with the cheese bread, yum! Then, I had the portobello spinach ravioli in a red cream sauce, and wow, was it delicious! The tiramisu was also one of the best I have ever had! Great meal for a great price! Highly recommend!
We had the most amazing dining experience at this restaurant. Brittany, our server, went above and beyond and knew what to pair with what dish! The food was delicious and well thought out. They were very accommodating to our Akitas, and overall, we had a stellar experience! We will be back again! Thank you!
First time for us at Pacific Grove, CA. Found Victorian Corner for lunch, early in our trip, and it became our lunch destination for our stay. We eat a Mediterranean type of diet and Victorian Corner, really took care of us just ordering off the menu!
The atmosphere is very comfortable. We never felt rushed and weren't in any hurry to leave. The food was perfectly prepared and popped with flavor. My wife and I split the eggs Benedict, which was plenty for us. The service was fast and friendly. I never ran out of coffee. We're really looking forward to having breakfast here again when the opportunity arises. Or maybe we'll try them for lunch or dinner.
We came here for breakfast and we were not disappointed! The drinks were great (blood orange mimosa and spicy bloody Mary with gin) and both the benedicts (traditional and crab cake) were killer. We opted for the hash browns and asked for them extra crispy and to add grilled onions. I kid you not when I say they were the best hash browns I have ever had, 11/10 would recommend trying! The servers were kind, but things were a tad bit slow (~30 min from order to plates on the table). I did over hear that they were down a server for the day, so considering that the experience was great. We will definitely be back.
This was my favorite Breakfast spot for the few days I was vacationing in the area. Stopped by for pancakes one day, then some delicious egg breakfasts after that. Did not have to wait to be seated any of the date we went, and the wait for food wasn't too long either. The food was perfect and the staff were all wonderful. Thank you for making my birthday weekend so delicious! -purple hair.
Loved this place for it being our first time! The workers were so genuine, food came in a timely matter, and I really loved the home feel to the restaurant! We’ll definitely be back next time we vacation.
This place is a 10/10!! The food is delicious, the service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is very authentic and it's unique features take you down ypur childhood memory lane. I love their indoor windows. The natural sunlight shining definitely makes breakfast very memorable. Their mimosas are AMAZING! They offer indoor dining and outdoor. Personally, indoor dining is my favorite. We had the huevos rancheros, raspberry pancake, cinnamon banana pancake, French toast, ham benedicts, omelet, cappuccino, Cafe mocha, vanilla latte and orange mimosa.
Great local brunch spot if you are looking for one. I always recommend this place to all my friends. Quality, service and food is always great. Go support your local resturants!
The service was excellent. The food came quick. Waitress was attentive with refilling our water and coffee. Ordered the Vegetarian Omelet. The veggies were cooked perfectly. It comes with a potato or hashbrown and toast. I opted for the hash brown and it was the best hashbrown I've ever had at any breakfast restaurant. It was very crispy. I highly recommend this place.
Amazing and food service!! friendly and attentive but not pushy. It was classy but down to earth. Eggs were perfect and potatoes were as well. Chicken fried steak was crispy and gravy was good. I highly recommend this place 10000%
We loved this restaurant so much we came two nights in a row. First night I had the best eggplant parmigiana I have ever had. Last night I had fettuccine alfredo. Excellent. The apple pie was out of this world. Dominic took this over from his father and runs it with his wife Mary, so you feel you are their guests. The server, Katrina, is a gem.
Have had dinner at this terrific restaurant for the second time this week. It’s just a very comfortable place you feel at ease in. Excellent food, warm ambiance, attentive and responsive waitstaff. Reasonable prices . We had a good time talking with the cook!
I got the club, it was delicious and the woman that served me was very nice. Highly recommend and will be back 👍 ****(UPDATE) I have ate twice here now and both times have been delicious, the steak sandwich and crab cakes were outstanding. Compliments to the chef here. Must stop and eat here.
After a long day exploring 17 Mile Drive and Highway one along Big Sur we wanted a good meal. We drove into quaint downtown Pacific Grove and past the Victorian Corner Restaurant. It looked inviting, so we checked out the menu - with a good variety of choices at reasonable prices - and decided to go in. We were seated promptly and reviewed the specials, the beverage menu, and the dinner menu. I chose a local red blend wine while my wife had a Paso Robles Chardonnay. The server came back after a few minutes, and we placed our order. I ordered the three cheese ravioli with the homemade marinara sauce. We shared an order of the daily special toasted cheese bread and my wife ordered the house salad. I can say the ravioli was delicious. Likely the best I've ever had. Apparently their homemade raviolis with a blend of three cheeses. The texture was just right and often times I find marinara sauce can either be underwhelming or overpowering. It was perfectly balanced. What's the topping of fresh Parmesan and shredded basil. My wife enjoyed her salad with mixed greens, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and croutons and on the side, blue cheese dressing. Last but not least the cheese bread had four slices thinly sliced sourdough with a perfect blend of butter and melted cheese. Truly delicious! We enjoyed the meal so much we asked to review the breakfast menu with the likelihood that we'll be back in the morning!
The chicken fried steak breakfast was very good. Highly recommend. Breaded and cooked in-house (not frozen and dropped in a fryer). The gravy was very good. Not the best I've had, but it's made in-house. Very big portion. Asked for the egg over-easy, but it was more like over-medium. A friend said the Benedict was decent, but the sauce was not quite right. Nice view and a great vibe. Love the scattering of antiques. The staff was very attentive. Obviously a favorite of locals. The bathroom was relatively clean. Could definitely use some attention. Great little place.
My friend and I had brunch at Aliotti’s and enjoyed our time there. I really liked the cozy and warm atmosphere, almost like you’re having a meal at someone’s home. Our server was friendly and attentive with checking on us. I noticed that the other servers also seemed super friendly and outgoing as I saw them laughing and having great conversations with other diners. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my friend got the crab cakes eggs benedict. Both dishes were tasty and had good portions. Prices were also reasonable.
Wow! This eating experience was memorable. The staff was friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in the door and the food was even better. The sour dough cheese bread was simple, warm, and delicious. The clam chowder was creamy and a perfect way to warm up on a cool evening. The lasagna was literally the best I've ever had. Overflowing with sauce and rich flavor, it was so good. Finally, the chocolate cake was the final act of a perfect ensemble. Every chocolate lovers dream dessert. It was excessively chocolatey, just what I like. I will be back.
Best service in the peninsula! I am a local so I am familiar with restaurants from Salinas to Carmel and Allioti’s Victorian Corner Cafe has the best service in the peninsula, consistently. The owners are always there and extremely helpful with all aspects of operation, from seating guests to assisting in the kitchen. Apart from the service, the food is delicious, from breakfast to dinner. My parents and I have brunch weekly at Allioti’s, but we also have dinner there from time to time. They have the best spinach quiche if you’re vegetarian like me and there are other vegetarian options such as an eggplant sandwich which is outstanding. My parents say the chicken sandwich is the best and everything we’ve ever had for dinner has been delicious. By the way, my father is a very special man who is not easily impressed. Allioti’s Victorian Corner Cafe is a great option to celebrate birthdays or special occasions, impress out of town guests, and also as a regular spot for any meal. You will never need anything or wait long for anything so do yourself a favor and skip all those tourist trap restaurants and try this place if you haven’t already.
Consistently delicious food and the team members are so friendly and professional. I cannot say a single bad thing about this place. The pride they take in food presentation is stellar. Not only is it delicious but it's visually appealing. Get a simple fruit cup and you'll see what I mean! I've been here several times this year and I will continue to frequent this establishment whenever possible. Would give 10 stars if I could!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I came to this place on. Saturday evening for lunch/dinner. The wait time wasn’t bad it was quick. We were seated inside. The server was helpful when it came to ordering and never let my drink glass get under half way. I tried the meatball sandwich, pasta, garlic bread, clam chowder. Let me say this first, this clam chowder was the BEST I’ve ever tried. I’ve been to many places in the bay and around the coast that sell chowder but this place by far has been the best. It even beats fancy expensive restaurants at it. Anyways, the meatball sandwich was average it could’ve used more sauce. The garlic bread was pretty good too. The pasta was also average. I really want to come here again for the breakfast that looks amazing.
It was decent just i think its another crowd no disrespect... I took my kids & they ordered chicken sandwiches which were like 18 bucks each, they took back plenty of leftovers. The pasta I got was perfect it was equivalent to like Louie linguines I just regret not getting wine. But it was good.
Cute home style breakfast/lunch spot in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove Beach. The service was friendly and fast, food was good and fresh. The Bloody Mary was big and delicious. The setting was like having breakfast at home with your neighbors, we loved it.
Great breakfast. Grand presentation on most dishes. Mighty fresh a d good. Lots of Locals here! Owners took time to sit down with us and tell some fantastic stories of fishing in Alaska to serve here his restaurant here in downtown Pacific Grove. We went back the day for breakfast there. Groovy!
Great place—the food was really good! We ordered the pastrami sandwich, and they made sure it was perfectly toasted with the cheese melted just right. They don’t have a kids’ menu 🥺, so we got the grilled cheese sandwich for our little one, but it was a bit on the greasy side. Still, the service and atmosphere were exceptional. I’d love to come back for dinner and try more of their menu!
Stopped in to look at the menu, had a Fat Lip Amber which was really tasty. It’s not easy to find a good Amber around so 👍 to them. I looked at the menu but nothing really stood out to me. The view is nice from the restaurant but the atmosphere is kinda elderly, mostly a place for older people. Not really a scene for a hipper crowd.
Always ask the price for specials. My son ordered crab cake Benedict- surprise! $32!! The passion fruit drink he ordered was syrupy and excessively sweet. The food was fine, but the coffee tasted bitter, like it had been sitting on a burner too long. The place was busy and the wait staff worked hard and did their best, but didn't manage to refill my coffee (as I held out hope that the second cup might be better quality). The fellow who seemed to be the proprietor refilled my coffee himself - but only halfway! It was a clear message that, having already paid $80 for breakfast for two, he wanted us to vacate the table to cash in on the next diners. The second cup of coffee was bitter too. Although the sign clearly warned of a 3.5% surcharge for credit card payment, of course I forgot and paid by credit card, as is my habit. Sucks. Food was good - avoid the coffee and pay cash if you go.
My 2 daughters and me were there on July 16 in the morning on our way to the Aquarium. I was thinking about nice family breakfast in cosy Italian style. Reviews and interior were so promising. But something went wrong from the beginning. The host was not actually happy to see us. I am not sure if it was something personal, bad day, or something else. Not even a smile. Short sentences. No emotions at all. Looked very unfriendly. It was a feeling like we were visiting her own house at a wrong time. The place was pretty busy and almost all tables were taken by elderly people. But also there were some families with kids. Inside the nice building is pretty small space and tables are close to each other. But actually it's a sitting place but not walking. And staff struggles to navigate around between people and tables. The menu is ordinary for breakfast. But both my girls rejected to have anything there. The ladies served us were vise versa very smiley, friendly, and helpful. I got my coffee and pancakes and escaped as soon as possible to another place to feed my girls somewhere else.
3-23-25: I tried this place on a referral from someone so I tried it with a friend. We sat outside in the patio area. Service was SLOW! after several minutes our server came and we ordered Ice tea and water and SF JOES OMELETTE & ALlOTI’S SPECIAL. The food comes out and it was cold and the hash brown was undercooked. Our server never came to check on us except when it was time to pay the bill. The restrooms are not A.D.A compliant and if you’re a wheelchair user it’s impractical to get into unless you’re able to walk.
We visited this restaurant on Thanksgiving and were really looking forward to a nice meal. Unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot. The woman who walked us to our table was noticeably warm and friendly with the two families before us, but when it was our turn, her demeanor changed completely. She didn’t smile, seemed irritated, and the interaction felt unwelcoming. During our meal, service for us was just okay, but what stood out was that the same woman—who I believe was the owner—walked past our table multiple times without acknowledging us at all, even though she was very attentive to other tables around us. It made us feel singled out and uncomfortable. Maybe it was a race thing or maybe it was because we had our kids with us….not sure. Our waitress was nice. Just the owner…. It’s disappointing to have that kind of experience, especially on a holiday when you hope to enjoy a pleasant outing. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works toward providing consistent, respectful service to all guests.
We met friends from out of town here. As locals, I thought it would be a good place to have a casual dinner. The service was not good. It took us 30 minutes to get our drinks. Half the table had theirs and anytime they asked if we needed anything else, they'd forget and we'd have to wave down a different employee to get our items. It was busy, but not slammed. The food was fine, but I won't be meeting friends there in the future.
40$ for a meatball sandwich that tastes worse than Subway, The outside menu price is to get you in the door, & then they switched to a different menu. The waitress was the only pleasant experience of this restaurant. The owner/management keeps looking at you in a awkward way the whole time, been to way better restaurants. Also, your view is the street & parking. Learn from your waitress, & put some love in your food.
Our waiter was great, very nice and informative. It was going well till my wife found a huge fly in her food mid meal. Legs in one place and the body in another. It was obvious the fly was present when the food was prepared. Our waiter was very apologetic but her co worker was not. We paid the full bill and left, did not bother with asking for bill adjustment. No adjustment was made or offered by the cafe, we will not be returning.
The food was “ok”. The potatoes were well seasoned but some were a little over cooked and some were a little under cooked. The eggs and other food was very under seasoned. We got the bill and it was more than expected. We asked for the bill showing what each item cost and found the cappuccinos were $7 each. We asked and the waitress made a comparison to Starbucks which I guess is fair. They were “ok” and way over priced. Much better options in the area.
The food was good and the server very nice. The menu items were $5 to $6 more then they show on their website. After I put in my order I asked for a small side salad because I realized the lasagna came with nothing. I was fine, a salad plate size with the basics. They charged me $12! I was shocked. To top it off they charged 3.5% for using the credit card. They offered nothing when we complained. We will not return.
