Salsa was a low-medium heat but it was very tasty. I got the fajita super burrito and it was excellent, straight up delicious. Will def recommend or visit again next time I'm in Pacifica.
Awesome little place! House made sangria comes in pint glasses! I don't think you need to hear anymore but outside of that my husband and I both had burritos which were great. The house salsa is delicious. And we got a free sample from our very friendly host of the clam chowder. So good! Would definitely recommend
Food was super tasty and seasoned really well. We received a warm welcome despite ordering take out and had a nice conversation while we waited for our food. They even apologized for the order being pricier than expected. Real sweet people here. Definitely coming back!
We are visiting pacifica and found El toro loco with reviews. we love finding small business and supporting them. The owner is so nice. We came two days in a row. Food is so good and fresh. The fish tacos are so good. The peruvian dishes are also very good. This will be our spot when we come back
Amazing lomo saltado and ceviche as fresh as it can be! Great service as well. Will be back for sure.
The best seafood I've ever had, the price is really good, believe me, if you like seafood definitely should try this place, I promise that you will appreciate my suggestion. Last night I went to another Peruvian place and paid double for the same food and I'm okay to pay but the food was 😞. I definitely will come back and just I'll order seafood again. Thanks, El Toro Loco ❤️ So delicious so fresh so tasty, the best experience about taste and food.
This place is the real deal. The service was fantastic, there were lots of options and everything we ordered was delicious. The yuca fries were tasty and empanadas were really crispy and good ingredients. We shared the paella and it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and I especially loved the fish. This place is a guaranteed good meal; highly recommend.
This is really a Peruvian place, but with Mexican food, too (refried beans and apparently home-made tortilla chips v good). Delicious ceviche with a thick slice of sweet potato garnish was my great light lunch. When everything else in W Pacifica was closed on a beautiful Sat afternoon, I felt lucky to find myself here at an oasis of nice staff, good food, and a decor. Looks like they have live music on the regular, too as they had a solo guitarist setup, though nobody playing when I was there. Would totally come back if I ever find myself in Pacifica again!
Very tasty food, especially meat dishes! Lovely service included.
First time we have had the opportunity to eat Peruvian Food. All we can say is W O W. We did a little sampling of the first five items on the menu. The food was D E L I C I O U S. Flavorful and diverse. The Shrimp Soup was heavenly. The owner spent time to talk about the food, culture and the history of the restaurant. When in Pacifica CA, this is a must place to dine.
Food is Always phenomenal! Everyone there are so very nice and accommodating.
It’s been years since I have been to el toro loco. The location has moved to a corner bigger lot with front door parking available which is a plus. The food is good and it’s not that expensive and their portions are what my husband would call “decent size”. I ordered the jalea large to share and we each orders lomo saltado , Bistec a lo Pobre and a chicken dish that looks like a stew. We also ordered half pitcher of sangria which wasn’t as strong a Puerto 27 or Limon . However, we ordered a pisco sour and just mixed it with the sangria and boy, it was a lot better. Would we come back? Definitely but make sure you are very hungry. Big portions. Updated: 08/31/2025 Felt like having Peruvian slash Mexican. Of course, it was the weekend, and they had music for us to enjoy, of course , with our delicious meal. We ordered: Jalea al Marisco (to share) and each of us ordered our own dishes. Lomo. Saltado, fish taco meal and choros a la chalaca. Portions are huge for this location. Be prepared to have leftovers. Everything was yummy. For drinks: we ordered a 1/2 pitcher of sangria. We also added some pisco sour to make it less sweet and more stronger. I still think puerto 27 and limon still have then best sangria. Even though, we still will be back for their food.
I’m exploring the SF / West Coast and ran into this wonderful restaurant. Live music from 2 locals playing a clarinet, trumpet, xylophone and a keyboard. The keyboardist had the easier job!! The Chicharron de Pescado was fantastic, simple and delicious. I also had the empanada and initially wasn’t a fan but when it cooled down; the flavor of the chicken was on point. Definitely would stop here again.
Lots of delicious options and they have good lunch specials too. Good, friendly service. Always great to visit family-owned and family-run businesses.
Food is really good and we especially love the grilled beef heart & shrimp rice (the sauce is delicious 😍). Everyone in restaurant is friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor seating is dog-friendly. I
I’ve gotten take out once and dined in once. Both times the food was amazing! Very fresh and tasty. We tried the burritos, nachos, and Peruvian dishes and it was all delicious. The service is also stellar. Highly recommend and we’ll def be back!
This place has the BEST EMPANADAS IVE EVER HAD! The owner is so friendly and kind and it’s absolutely so adorable and welcoming!
The best dinner I've had with friends in awhile. Even though portions are huge here, don't skip out on dessert. This place has the best flan and lucuma ice cream!!! A MUST TRY.
Awesome specials. Nice service. Definitely coming back.
We loved the fish ceviche and the lomo saltado the best, but all the food was very good. Our server (young lady with blond hair) was super nice, made us feel welcome since we first came in, we sat outside since we had our precious dog with us, she kept checking in with us to make sure everything was good all the time. Great customer service, food quality and price. Will be definitely coming back when we are back in Pacifica.
Very tasty!!!! Felt it very authentic, everyone was super nice. They provided us with alot of insight and recommended great dishes. Thank you!
I never write reviews (I'm lazy) but WOW. This place deserves all the stars. One of the best meals I've had since moving to the Bay Area. Will definitely go out of my way to come here again.
Freakin love this place. Great combos of authentic food. Delicious plates that are always heaping and beyond friendly staff. A delicious sangria too
Our new favorite Peruvian spot! My honey loved the ceviche so much he basically drank the sauce! I ordered the Saltado de Mariscos and it took me back to my father's cooking. The empanadas were home made, fresh and delicious! The owner was super nice and the service was great. We will definitely be returning!
This was one of those meals that leave you completely satisfied. This place serves Peruvian and Mexican cuisine. We had to go with Peuvian, we both had the Lomo Saltado and Sangría, it was so delicious, definitely UMAMI! The salsa that was served with the chips was also very good.

We all had different prawn dishes and all were amazing. The sangria and salsa were amazing too. What a lucky find! We will be returning!

Great homemade salsa and Peruvian seafood dishes! Fish was so fresh and tender. Unexpected quality, in this simple location, yet easy walk from Pacifica Pier. Easy parking too. Great service!
Really good wonderful I was a little disappointed for the weekday special which was only two items off the menu but overall very nice people and tasty food
The service was a little slow but the staff was super friendly so that made up for the wait. The restaurant is very small and was completely full. The food came and was very large servings. My burrito was so big that I couldn’t finish it. At first glance I didn’t want to go into the restaurant because of appearance but it ended up being good.

Good service with food that ranges from delicious to meh. Won’t be back, because the quality and quantity don’t warrant the price. Fried calamari was delicious. Fried yucca was delicious but very pricy. Based on their serving size, it’s over $1/strip. The Saltado de Mariscos was mushy fries on top of mediocre rice in a sauce (soy?) that tasted like something out together from leftovers. The cebiche de pescado was over priced for a very tiny serving. The cebiche was tasty, the small amount that was served, was tasty. The corn fillers, however, didn’t have much taste or texture. Looked good, but that’s about it. Kind of a waste.

I had the Lomo Saltado was disappointed with this dish because it was overwhelmingly salty and lacked depth. It tasted like it relied too heavily on regular soy sauce without balancing it with acidity or fresher ingredients. A more traditional approach would use low-sodium soy, a touch of vinegar to cut the salt, proper garlic and pepper flavor, and vegetables that still have texture. Instead, everything was buried under a salty sauce, losing the brightness and balance that this dish should have.

It's just not very good food , especially for the price. Asada tasted very low quality. A chef knocked a to-go container face down onto the floor by the tables, went around and picked it up, and immediately put tacos into it.
So far, it was the worst meal I've had in the Bay Area. Zero flavor, the food tasted soggy, a horrible experience. The waiter was very friendly, but I wouldn't go back.

Running errands and usually go to the Mexican place on the same street. Owner here was nice. Ordered empanada. They were $8.95 when they came out it was 4 tiny pieces. I know he s a small business so I didn’t return it. He should have pictures or specified . Not going to repeat. Actually had to go home and make lunch. Staying with the Mexican place from now on. Mr. Owner ; I would like to clarify with all respect,; I was on an errand and stopped by to get something quick. It’s not about being on a budget. I assure you sir, I can easily purchase the building your business is in and be your landlord. Usually when a stranger walks into a restaurant the owner or employee lets them know if there are any specials etc. I think you are man of common sense. Why would you think 4 tiny empanadas would be ordered by a grown man unless it was an appetizer? And maybe he was with his wife perhaps. That’s just common sense. I as Imentioned to you am not familiar with the menu etc. Perhaps sir, it would have been okay for you to say ‘I must inform you they are nothing but a tiny appetizer or a snack’. Then I, a dumb guy like me would understand. Or on your menu list it as an appetizer instead of deserving it like something more in volume . You seemed like a guy that had a lot of life experience so I made the mistake of assuming it was more than it was. Did I expect a full course meal? No of course not. Nor did I expect it o be so tiny. Your waiter saw I was surprised and asked if I ordered the dish. I should have been honest and asked to return it. As I mentioned prior, you are a small business and under Ca with all its taxes and fees, I am sure it is not easy on your livelihood. However on the same note you need to assist your customers when it s obvious they are unaware of what they may be ordering.. That sir is my complaint. Not you, not your nice restaurant nor your food or what tiny little I tried. I thought of ordering more food but made the decision to elsewhere.
