Get ready to eat pork on pork with pork! I love this place. It's kind of like a hidden gem because it's hidden from the main street. But once you've found it, you're in luck for a good food coma afterwards. Order the chicharron bulaklak (it's so bad, but so good) and of course the sizzling sisig! We ordered the green beans & squash (we wanted some veggies) and that was good too. And do yourself a favor and always order the garlic rice. Order anything with the pig sign next to it and you can't go wrong.

I like their kare kare, next time I will do two orders 😋

When in Daly City, one must find good Filipino food. That should be an axiom for Bay area living. So I found myself at this spot. I was quite thrilled with the experience. Lots of places serve mom and pop Filipino food, but this place was legit. I had to go with the lechon, mostly because it had been a long time. But also it wasn't too fatty. Yeah there was some fat. It's lechon after all. But they served it with eggs and the sauce and all the fixin's. What I really wanted was Sisig, but they didn't have it as a lunch plate. Gives me excuse to come back. Anyway, the lechon comes out hot and crispy, in nice bite size pieces. For me the eggs were a little overcooked as I like them medium to run on the rice. But I didn't specify that, so that's my bad. I asked for some banana sauce, and thoroughly enjoyed. They also had calamansi which is sometimes hard to get. That was an added bonus for my perspective. They had what I wanted, and what a good Filipino restaurant should have. Kudos. I'll go again. BTW there was enough for take home. Basically I got two meals from it. I'm down with that.

Tocino and green beans and squash were a good combo. Good prices with a large amount of food.

I like the food here. Portion is generous and flavors are on point. I first had take out from chibog during lockdown so decided it was time to return to have a proper dine in. Both Pork Adobo and Chicken Sisig were very tasty. I do wish the adobo was a bit more sour though. Overall great food and decently priced.

Great Filipino food at a reasonable price. We ordered sizzling sisig, pancit palabok and garlic rice. The sisig dish was a little drier than I like but very tasty. Came here a little after they opened and it wasn’t too busy. Plenty of parking in this area

The full menu is great! You won't go wrong with any of the food selections! I often take my family to Chibog if we want Filipino food done right! I especially recommend the combo sisig, bulalo, shanghai lumpia, mango and ube milkshakes! Service= Excellent! Note: Write your name on the list in the red shelf by the front door!

Finding a good Filipino restaurant isn't as common as you'd hope in the bay area and this spot is a gem. The food was absolutely delicious and the service staff friendly. The restaurant is small so if you want to eat there I'd recommend getting there a little early. It's worth the wait though!

What could be so good at this Filipino hole in the wall? I asked myself the same question, so I ordered takeout of Lechon Kawali & Tocino pork. That Tocino is amazing. So soft and flavorful. Every bite is a juicy divine. Can't wait to come back.

Wow. Best Filipino restaurant every. Great pata, bangus sisig. Amazing portions and prices. But super busy. Luckily it's fast, so wait in line but don't need to wait for your food.

Authentic Filipino Food in south San Francisco. A bit of a wait on the weekends, which is expected, but no longer than 30 minutes. Whenever I’m missing home, I go here. Great sized portions for the price!

Fantastic Filipino food, easily satisfies your craving for Sisig or Lechon or Kare Kare or Pancit... All of them are recommend must try. If you have to select only one, do the combo sisig with garlic rice on the side. The garlic rice is so wholesome and balances the flavor of the meaty dishes. Will visit again!

If you want to satisfy your filipino cravings with authentic filipino food definitely go to Chibog. It is a small restaurant to come here ealy on weekends or be prepared to wait in line. We went on a weekend and it was raining we ordered : kare-kare ( which was BOMB), Sinigang na liempo also delicious, pork sisig (not a fan of it coz it was kinda dry) and palabok which is also very delicious. We also oredered liempo but i am glad they forgot about it because the servings were huge and we have to take some home 😆 we ordered way too many

Tasty Filipino food with a handful of options for meat, veggie, or/and seafood lovers. Friendly service. definitely going back to try more! We did a two dish combo of chicken adobo and bbq pork with garlic rice and chicken rice noodle soup. 4 piece side of lumpia and pancit. All was delicious!

I once drove 2 hours in traffic from Eastern Contra Costa County to Daly City on a Friday night just to eat here, and I would do it again. That’s how good this place is! Come for the Filipino classics. There are certain dishes you have to order: - Bangus Sisig: the BEST in the bay. Savory, spicy, acidic, and absolutely addicting with rice - Lechon Kawali: fried pork belly, but they fry it just right. Not too crispy that it’ll hurt your teeth - Pinakbet: this dish takes real skill because you don’t want to overcook the veggies. They do it perfectly here. We got Pancit Palabok on our last visit and it was just okay…I honestly thought Jollibee was better. It’s a total vibe in here. Packed on a Saturday night, playing OPM from the 90s. Plus you know an Asian place is gonna be good if they have a painting of horses on the wall. I’ve been coming for almost 8 years and the staff hasn’t changed, so you know it’s a good spot.

Really good filipino food in the peninsula. We dined in Saturday morning right at opening. We ordered had their garlic fried rice, palabok, Lechon Kawali, Tucino, bangus sisig, calamansi juice, and ube shake. All of it was delicious. I recommend getting the palabok as it was full of flavor and something I would definitely get again. Staff is super friendly and attentive. As for parking, the lot is shard amongst other businesses in the area. While we got there at opening, maybe half an hour in, a wait started to form at the door, but I can see why :) I would come back here again if I am in the area.

My family frequents this restaurant because of their chicharon bulaklak!! It was the girst thing ordered before we sat down and another order before we left!! So good!! Service is patient and respectful and kind. The food is always amazing. My mom and Tita especially liked the tocino because it wasn't hard. I favored the porkchop inihaw. Lechon kawali is always on our table too!! We love to eat and Chibog makes all of our family favorites so accessible without having to cook them ourselves. The Filipino food is always on point here!! We spent over 150 dollars because we like to have options eating together. Otherwise it's a very affordable place for any silogs-- all under 17 dollars!!

Efficient service. Delicious authentic Filipino food. The A la cart sizes are shareable, good portion. The pansit palabok needed some salt but flavored. The Tocino was a little hard and the pork chops were also hard. But I think it’s just the cuts of the meat and not the way they cook them. The Beef sink gang is amazing. Not too sour and just the right amount of salt. The veggies also were not over boiled so they were the perfect texture. The Intestine flowers were also fresh and crispy. Highly recommend!

Came on a Sunday for late lunch. My partner and I love this place. We waited about 20 mins to be seated because it is a small space and it was pretty busy. We ordered : - Pork Sinigang - Beef Short Rib Sinigang - Sizzling Pork Sisig - Longanisa Silog - 2 orders of Rice This was a lot of food for 2 people. But we like to bring some leftovers home and warm it up later at night for dinner. They provide nice and sturdy containers for soup. One thing that I love about this restaurant is how they serve the food. They present the sinigang in a big bowl with a ladle. They also provide small bowls to pour the soup and to share the soup also. Naturally the food is always so good and the servers are all around pleasant. They checkin on you every once in a while to see if everything is okay. I highly recommend this place for perhaps a lunch date or just lunch with friends. Most of the items are served in sharing bowls and plates. It’s a great atmosphere. There is also lots of parking in the lot.

The place doesn't look like much, don't let that deceive you. The food is delicious. The kare kare is wonderfully creamy, the savory oxtail blends with the peanut sauce perfectly. The taro leaves are like a Filipino version of collard greens, but better. I stuffed myself silly with garlic rice, don't bother getting them in "cups", just order the big bowl and bring the extra home. The calamansi drink was a nice surprise, very different from the canned version and the frozen juice. I guess fresh calamansi is different, it has hints of orange and hints of tangerine... really hard to describe, you have to at least order on and try. I severely overate and stuffed myself silly. Recommend taking extra care to avoid potholes on 280 when heading home. 😉

"ISO a decent Filipino dining experience in San Francisco" Came across "Chibog" (Filipino street lingo for eat or dine). About a 15-20 minute wait. Pleasantly amazed at the generous size of portions. We ordered the crispy fried chicken, crispy pata (fried pork leg), vegetable chop suey and pancit palabok (Filipino noodle dish). Food was served in a short amount of time compared to many dine in places. Well cooked, presentation is okay (Filipino food is geared more toward taste over looks). Enjoyed the chop suey. The palabok needed more content though, perhaps shrimp, shredded smoked fish, more green onions? Chicken and pork were better than average. Loved the by-line, "It's belly good"

Found this spot by accident because we were supposed to go to another spot but the wait time to be seated was long. Regardless, the food was surprisingly great! We ordered sizzling pork sisig and Tocilog (tocino, sinangag (garlic fried rice), and itlog (2 eggs)). I was pleasantly surprised by how well the sisig was crisped up. I do believe they used their lechon kawali and dressed it for sisig. The entree was porky, oily, and super savory. It was balanced because it had enough tanginess prior to putting lemon juice all over. Their portions are huge!!! I'd say its 2-3 people per entree depending how hungry everyone is. The Tocilog was great but the star was the tocino. It tasted like a Filipino bbq. Not too sweet like most tocino. The staff were attentive and very helpful. If I was a local, I'd keep coming and order a catering size of the sisig! They got a vegetarian version: Tofu sisig!

We went for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy. We got tocino pork silog and lechon kawali silog. The tocino was delicious, not too sweet but tender. The reviews are great for the lechon, but mine was dry/overcooked, so I took 1 star off. The eggs for the lechon were also well done, no runniness.

My first time here and I was not disappointed, the wait wasn't too bad. The pork sisig was not that great but the bangus was very good. Kare Kare was also good, the ingredients didn't deviate from the the actual recipe, so I was impressed by the quality of their dishes, presentation and their service.

I definitely recommend this place for Filipino food. Had the combo sisig, laing and a bowl of garlic rice. The portions were appropriate, the servers were attentive and nice. Lastly, the price was reasonable. The food wasn't greasy at all and the flavors were spot on, reminded me of being home in the Philippines. Would love to see more vegetarian options, sago gulaman drinks and for the sisig have different levels of spicyness. Overall, I am coming back for the pinakbet and lumpia shanghai.

This is my first time here and I typically don’t eat pancit. The noodles were nice but I wish the chicken was more hearty. I added shrimp but they were minuscule… not a fan of mini shrimp. Overall flavor of the pancit was good. Ordered fried lumpia and it was fair. Friendly and quick service.

I was craving for some kare kare from Lucky Chances and a friend recommended this place to order from. Not impressed with Chibog. They didn’t give me alamang for kare kare. They said I would to pay extra $1.50. The oxtail was tough, sauce taste was mediocre. Bangus sisig was sour. Lucky Chances kare-kare is way better.

the food is good, but most of the employees are not using gloves when handling food specially in front that serving/putting the utensils and not using the proper mask. and one of the employee are not wearing mask, someone went to do the garbage and he go straight at the counter to help his coworker doing the order.

We always enjoy trying different Filipino restaurants to cater small gatherings at home, so we were excited to place our first order from Chibog. We ordered a party tray of Palabok for around $90 (half-tray size), expecting a more authentic or elevated flavor experience compared to the usual franchise-style Filipino chains. Unfortunately, the dish was very disappointing. Our guests immediately noted that the Palabok tasted “off”. It lacked any of the traditional shrimp flavor and had no seasoning or flavor at all. No detectable flavors of shrimp or pork. Worse, after sitting out for only a couple of hours, it started to smell spoiled. We ended up having to throw out more than half of the tray. It was the only Filipino noodle dish we served at the gathering, so this was a huge letdown. Thankfully, we had rice to make up for it. Sadly, we won’t be ordering from Chibog again based on this experience.

G

Gave wrong order. Overpriced seasig, rice is not included. You pay $5 for steamed rice??? Waiter service was atrocious, no patience to answer questions.

P
Penguin Vlogs

I decided to try their food since they had such high ratings. They recommended the combo sisig (pork&chicken) which was a full plate of meat. Dry meat, large soggy pork skin, and no original flavor, can only taste soy sauce. Had to order a side a garlic rice. Their $20 lumpiang Shanghai was spongy (?) Anyway, it didn’t live up to the 4 1/2 star rating. $50 into the garbage can.
