We had such a great dining experience at The Butcher Chop House & Bar in Park City! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We tried the elk with mashed potatoes and garlic green beans, and it was cooked perfectly and so tender and full of flavor. We also had the New York steak paired with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and it did not disappoint. For an appetizer, we ordered the lobster nachos, and wow… those were incredible. So rich, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. The drinks were also so amazing! I don’t remember right off the bat which ones we had since we kept telling our waiter to just surprise us! Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food were all top notch. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re in Park City!
Went on date night and our dinner was delicious. We started out with the Caresar salad then the prime rib and pork chop followed by the crème brulee. Everything was hot and to temps requested. We’d definitely go back.
We joined the locals club and took advantage of the $10 apps and select wine this evening. Great service from Vince at the bar! We had ahi poke, calamari and steak tartare; all delicious! Can’t wait for more locals specials!
We started off with an herb enthusiasm and a Mr Big. The bread was good and the 8 oz filet with bacon Brussels and garlic mashed potatoes was delish. Recommend!
Our go to dinner option. Fancy or casual night out doesn't matter. The food and service are excellent. Best appetizer and meat selection for a wide range of appetites. If you have a picky eater, this is the place to go. There is something for everyone. The Alpinglobe dining is very nice for a special occasion or large group. The dining room and even the bar are all nice options.
Great food and service. The jalapeño mac and cheese was delicious and the lobster nachos!
One of my favorite steak dinners and I travel the world. Went here 2 years ago and couldn’t wait to revisit to reorder the same thing. Flat iron, wild mushrooms, and jalapeño bacon Mac will NOT disappoint. Perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere.
We really enjoyed our dinner and experience tonight. Erin was our server and she was very personable and visited with us. All of the bussers kept the table clear of dishes and were kind and attentive. Thank you for the great birthday dinner!
This place was recommended to us. I called and was so lucky to get in on a Friday night. It's a sexy place. Our waitress was amazing. The food was absolutely fantastic. 💯 And we took an order of bread pudding to go which was delicious. If I am ever fortunate enough to visit Park City Utah again, I will definitely make it a priority to eat here again!!!!! The best!!!!
All I can say is WOW! This place was great for an anniversary celebration. The only thing I really wasn’t to crazy for was the bread but other then that, the service was excellent, food and drinks were amazing. The size of the prime rib was ridiculous, so big my husband couldn’t finish it which is saying a lot. That man never leaves meat or potatoes on his plate. I had a kids steak due to recent surgery but even it was so tender and juicy, the jalapeño bacon macaroni and the grilled mixed veggies were also delicious! I would highly recommend this place!
Delicious food, generous selection of cuts wine and single malts. Service was great and we had an amazing time!
We were recommended to Butchers Chop House by our hotel concierge and it did not disappoint! We were also celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff immediately acknowledged our special occasion with great seating and a celebratory dessert. All the staff here are wonderful! Jeneviev was our server and she could not have been nicer. The food was the real star of the show! We started with the ahi poke lettuce cups (delish), the tempura green beans (yum) and the butternut squash ravioli (to die for!) Our entrees were so good, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the seasonal side of mushroom risotto was my favorite part. 😋 My husband went beast mode on the 18oz cowboy steak and ate it down to the bone! 😆 We finished our meal with their delicious, buttery bread pudding. Definitely come to this wonderful restaurant for a great meal with great service and ambiance
Butcher’s Chop House & Bar gave a great bang for my buck. The service and food were both excellent. Next time we want to dine in the outdoor, individual group igloo- so cute and vibey.
Calamari doesn't disappoint! Great colors and flavors. Surf and turf for main main was prepared nicely. Servers are attentive and friendly. Prices were average for the area. Tortilla Soup was a little bland. It was a chef daily special. Could have used some diced avacados. But our overall experience was very nice.
Love coming to park city and the food is always so delicious. First time coming to the Butcher’s Chop house and Bar and my girlfriend and I were extremely pleased with the service and atmosphere the dinners were delicious too! Looking for a nice meal to fill you up with a relaxing atmosphere? Come here! You won’t be disappointed!
For me, I like when a steak house doesn’t try to put a spin on their dishes. Do the classics the right way is what I like in a steak house. Butcher’s Chop House and Bar delivered just that. The steak was cooked perfectly. The sides were delicious. And their Old Fashioned was tasty. Definitely one of the bet meals I had when I visited Park City.
Wow! Such a great steakhouse! Food, wine, and atmosphere were amazing. Service was on point. Our server Sandy knew the wine list like the back of her hand. Great experience all around!
Loved every moment of our time here - the food was delicious! The calamari was to die for and my filet Oscar was amazing as well as my drink. Can't wait too go back!!
A perfect dining experience! My steak was absolutely phenomenal. The service was fantastic. They kept my drink full and were very attentive. Even though it was quite busy, it wasn't overly loud. I look forward to returning the next time we visit Park City.
We ended up at Butchers on xmas due to late reservations and were worried the food would be no good from the look of the hotel entrance. Ended up being the food highlight of our trip. Lamb and prime rib were phenomenal and the cocktails were all extremely well balanced
A friend said if we wanted to spoil ourselves we should visit Butcher's. Man, was he right! Faustina warmly greeted us even though we were 2 hours early for our reservation. (We skipped lunch and were famished.) Immediately I saw The Empress cocktail and knew that was for me. Faustina provided some suggestions for my wife and ordered a glass of Villa Antinori. Both were tasty! People always think I'm crazy but I love Steak Tartare. Butcher's came out with piping hot, perfectly cooked/seasoned crostinis to complement the Tartare. (Too often crostinis are cold and rock hard. Like they were made the day before!) The Tartare was one of the best I've ever had. I love capers and there were the perfect amount blended in. The Steak Tartare could be a meal in itself! We decided to go with a bottle of Vicara Grignolino Monferrato, again, leaning on Faustina for direction. Four our mains, my wife ordered the Blackened Halibut. I rolled the dice and ordered the Surf 'n Turf, explaining to Faustina that I don't usually order it as often the lobster is overcooked, tasting like dry rubber. When my entree was served I dove into the lobster to find it just the way it should be cooked. Faustina said she talked to the Chef and said to please pay special attention to my lobster! :-) My entre typically comes with garlic mashers which I am not a huge fan of and asked if I could please substitute the Creamed Spinach instead. I am so glad I did as it truly defined the word "decadent". (I never thought I would say that about Creamed Spinach!) We thought we couldn't eat another bite... Then Faustina brought out the dessert menu. I have never had Cinnamon Chimichanga before so had to give it a whirl with a glass of Hardy's Tawny port. Fantastico! I really don't think I would be out of line describing our dine at Butcher's a "sumptuous feast"! Thanks to Faustina and everyone behind the scenes for a great memory!
We came here 6 years ago and decided to return and it did not disappoint. Excellent steaks, garlic mashed potatoes, and jalapeno Mac and cheese. The service was too notch! Definitely one of our favorite meals while in Park City.
We visited this restaurant on September 3rd to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Our server, Manuel, was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also attentive, kind, and personable. The service was exceptional, and the food was amazing. If you’re considering visiting this restaurant, I highly recommend asking for Manuel. You won’t be disappointed!
We had an early dinner in one of the Alpenglobes and can’t recommend it enough. Great food and great service, blankets and a heater, and your own sound system so you can play DJ. Pro-tip: reserve an Alpenglobe for apres ski and the required minimum is much lower than a similar dinner-time reservation.
The service is what gets 5 stars here! Our server was a young lady from Argentina, I forgot her name but she was excellent. We had an issue with one of our chicken plates and overcooked lamb chops and she did not hesitate to let the manager know right away who I also forgot her name (I’m sorry, I should’ve gotten the names) who came out right away and made it all right without any questions. Truly 5 star service! Bravo 👏
Solid steak house menu which plays up the sides and drinks more than the meat. Options from cowboy steaks to filets were great. The cook was good though slightly off from the temps requested. Probably worthwhile to order slightly rarer than you’re looking for. The sides were fantastic and deserved greater sales pitches than they received. The spiced carrots and garlic mashed potatoes are some of the best steak house sides I’ve had from east to west coast. The drinks were strong and well made. Would recommend for a nice guys out though saw plenty of girls nights out in the outdoor bubbles and indoors.
Standard steakhouse we had an amazing time here the food was excellent. Although we did tell them one of the girls in our party was celebrating a birthday nothing was sent out they must not service for these events and the server kept forgetting things like to ask the type of ginger beer and my sugar for my coffee. The ambiance was a dark steakhouse. You will not go wrong by coming here.
We had a very nice dinner here. We have been here before and will be back. The food is very good. We had the special Elk fillet, the Ahi Tuna dish, and the ChopHouse burger. Two people had the Elk. One cooked rare and the other medium rare. There was definitely a difference and we all agreed cooked exactly as ordered. The Elk was very good. More flavor than a Beef Fillet. The edges of the elk were a little chewy it was in a bad way. The seared Ahi was very flavorful as well. The burger was very juicy. The sides were fine. The cooked carrots were a little bland. The mushrooms and the Brussels were good. The service was excellent! We didn’t try a desert. They have cool tables outside in bubbles that look like a nice experience. Need to reserve those it looks like. If you found this helpful follow me. I don’t give many 5* because I reserve that for the very best in food, service and experience. I try to be quick to the most important stuff, the food. Then add notes about the rest. Enjoy!
The off season special caught my attention. Dining room was full and only has bar seating, which is not bad. I came here twice, so bar seating doesn't serve bread and dining room does. The fried calamari was interested. Never have the fried lemon, but actually quite good, I am additive to that. The steak is decent, but for the two for the price of one, I am happy. Those are good quality steak.
Overall, it was a great dining experience. I had the filet mignon. It was very good. My wife had the lamb, which she really enjoyed. Waitress was great. I'd definitely go back here for dinner in the future.
Dinner tasted great. Their Ahi Tuna Poke wraps were amazing. The surf n turf (filet steak and lobster) were great also. Really casual environment; we sat outside which was a great option because it faces the gondola and was a great setting. Server was great. The only downside was a really snarky hostess who seemed really put off when she greeted us. Other than that, great overall experience.
I have to say that the bar side is livelier than the chop house side, so if you’re looking for a lively environment, go there as they serve the same food. First off, I am not sure if we came at a bad time or something but they ran out of the 16 oz prime rib on this day, which seems weird, but the 12 oz would suffice. Also, I’m not sure if they really needed the table back or something because we got our appetizers quick, and we got our mains ordered and delivered quick, and dessert as well. We were out of there within 75 mins. Now with service that quick, we also got a lot of our side dishes wrong. I got coconut rice instead of broccoli - no matter, they got me the broccoli shortly after. My friend got 2 orders of mushrooms instead of mushroom and sprouts. Flavour wise, the jalapeño Mac and cheese is delicious. The prime rib itself was okay, could have more flavour to it. The lobster nachos are a must have though. Overall the experience was okay. We wound up going to hang out at the bar side after, where we ordered more lobster nachos.
Two of us had an excellent dinner at the Butcher's Chop House & Bar in Park City Utah. The waiter James was professional, quick, got our orders right, and kept an eye on the table. My 14 oz New York steak was very flavorful and prepared correctly. My buddy's prime rib was excellent. Considering the cost we both thought the high priced entrees should have included a side soup or salad and the available sides were good but not excellent. Overall service was excellent, waters were refilled, plates cleared promptly.
Good spot! Right at the base of the town center lift. Cool bar area and dining room. Not too pricey. We enjoyed our steak. Good overall pick if in the area!
Service and atmosphere is good. Didn’t have any drinks, can’t comment on that. Food was horrible quality, and not well made. Sorry for the bluntness but here is food review: Caesar salad looked bad and tasted worse, steak ordered medium well (as was with young one, usually order medium rare) and came out medium rare and had no taste, baked potato was the worse I have had (dry, never seen anyone mess that up), wild mushrooms weren’t wild they were portobello (can’t make it up), and lobster was decent (butter wasn’t fresh). Maybe an off night but for those reasons, wouldn’t go back.
My prime rib was pretty much raw, far from the medium rare that I ordered. Cocktail shrimp was terrible. Beet salad was great. My dates rib eye was great.
In fairness, this review was based on dining in the bar rather than the dining room so that may have impacted our experience. But overall, it was still average, or maybe slightly above average. I would say that the service was attentive and the food was reasonably good, but nothing outstanding. The wine menu was good, but the bottle mark up was pretty excessive, a little over three times retail. The loud music and vibe was less what you would expect of a nice steakhouse and more of an apres ski night club. Granted, it is a ski town, but it felt a bit out of place based on the dining room ambience and the clientele dining in the bar.
The food doesn’t justify the price point. My steak was cooked to temp but the sweet potato fries were soggy and mashed potatoes unseasoned. The steak tartare was tasty but again, not worth the price point. Also, my girlfriend’s asparagus was cold and the bread was hard enough we banged it on the table to laugh about it.
They used to offer a specials for locals in the off season. They dont do this anymore. The food seemed very mediocre for the price you pay. Staff was friendly and food was good. Just not what i expected for the price. Which is why i used to go during off season. Cocktails were delicious. Id go back and sit in the bar for a light snack.
I ordered the prime rib roast, wild mushrooms, and garlic mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, I found both the prime rib and the mushrooms lacking in flavor. My husband also had the prime rib but opted for the jalapeño mac and cheese, which was very delicious and something I would definitely recommend. The drinks were just average. The service was very good, but my overall experience was underwhelming. I unfortunately didn't get a picture of my plate, but my husband took one of his.
The food and drinks weren’t good enough to make up for the staff attitude. Was there for a dinner with my daughters and Felt very rushed. It’s not like we weren’t ordering and just sitting around. Oh…and the worst carrot cake…steer clear…I’ve had better at gas stations.
Overpriced for poor service and decent but not great food. Signature prime rib was reheated, very disappointing poor quality of meat and no flavor. Filet was good but not great. Potatoes side was a pass. Appetizers were a mixed bag fried green beans we flavorless, the braised short rib was very good favorite dish of the table.
My steak was actually really chewy and was not very good.I complained and they gave me my meal for free.Thank you for that.Because I wasn't going to pay for that nasty steak anyways. I will not be returning here though.Everything else is pretty good.Just my steak was gross, and that's what I came there for I should have just went to texas roadhouse.I can always count on them. And the prices are great there. The prices here were very expensive
Yesterday, I ate at butchers for the first time. I’m new to the area so I was craving a steak. I ordered my steak medium. When I got it, it was very tough. The lobster was ok but the steak was not. My bill was $300 and I could have went to Texas Roadhouse and had a better steak.
Wouldn’t go and expect the highest quality steak or fine dining service. It was only two of us and they forgot our appetizer. They also served our entrees almost immediately which felt very rushed. Filet and prime rib were both ok, but much closer to Outback / Texas Roadhouse quality than fine dining steakhouse.
Tourist Trap….. Horrible food. Horrible Service. Bathrooms worse than the worst public bathroom you’ve even been in. When mentioned once manager of the place…He said they would see what’s happening. Elias was our server. Clear glasses guy. 45 minutes to order food. Then they brought it out all mixed up and improperly severed. Wrong temps. Wrong sides. Wrong person. We could not get this guys attention to save our lives. Then let’s talk about the men’s bathroom. See my pic posted. WOW! High end place that the bathroom is intolerable in smell. Worse than the worst public bathroom ever. Food sucked. Fatty over priced cheap steaks and meat. I mentioned to the server I had a food allergy with dairy and especially Sour Cream…. He tried to sell me on that Blue Cheese dressing didn’t have sour cream. Then the chef confirmed it did. I would have needed up in the hospital. Just didn’t eat it cause I didn’t trust Elias. All and all. The place has gone down hill. Steer away and just go somewhere else.
Came for a birthday, but no acknowledgment was made of it (despite writing it in as a special request!) in addition, steaks were undercooked (rare instead of medium) and half the food came out cold. Staff was fine, nothing special. Way overpriced for the food and service! I can’t believe there are such high reviews. Given all the great restaurants in PC, I’d skip this one for sure!
I made reservations for dinner for me and my wife's 32nd anniversary. I requested outside seating and indicated it was for our anniversary. When we arrived we were informed there was no outside seating as a special event was going on. If I would have been informed of that I would have gone elsewhere. We were seated at a table for 6 for just my wife and I. I ordered the prime rib and my wife ordered the flat iron steak. My prime rib had little flavor, not very tender and served on a cold plate. My wife's steak was OK. Our server checked on us 1 time and never refilled our drinks, didn't offer desert or after meal coffee. Never mentioned it being our anniversary. Very disappointing. Not the kind of service you would expect at a place like this.
I am only rating based on the very dramatic 50 dollar per person cancellation fee. So I may never find out how it is because that is all together very dramatic of a fee. Then again it looks like they aren’t too busy based on available res options so a little confused why they need to charge people.
I was shocked at how bad the service at Butchers Chop House was. From the moment we walked in the door. The host could not lift her head from the staring at the computer screen, I even joked and tilted my head to try and get her attention. Just to do the basic function of politely welcoming guests. The server forgot us, did not check on us. Did not bring table bread, even though other tables received. We were there to celebrate our twins birthday and even though I mentioned this in my reservation, not a word. This restaurant failed in so many ways to make it special, but regardless of that just basic common restaurant norms were not present. My wife and I commented the next day eating at a very basic fast food that the service we received with a smile and with gratitude was far superior. Shame on this restaurant for spoiling a special night and not giving a dam about your customers. I told the manager who simply had no care in the world… seems the owners left this in the hands of an incompetent individual.
