Sorry, my picture is not very appetizing, but I will say the last few times I’ve come to this location all the meats are super fresh vegetables super fresh. All around a great experience not to mention the staff is great.
Excellent service! Extremely personable guy who gave generous portions and good conversation.
Cain was amazing at Freebies Burritos! He prepared my food perfectly, was friendly, and made the whole experience smooth and positive. Great service — I’ll definitely be back!
I always have a great time eating Freebirds, the employees really love when I order soup burritos and always attempt to roll for me. Except that one time when an associate just gave up and threw it in a bowl. But I did get free tortillas so 10/10.
Food was great! First time there and their general manager, Mork, was an excellent help in walking me through the ordering process and menu items. They have a wider range of selection compared to the competitor across the street. Lobby was clean and organized and I could tell their crew is friendly and ready to engage with customers. Overall the facility was a welcoming and enjoyable experience to anyone. As for my meal, I mentioned before the food was good, but more specifically I tried their new birria meat and it was as close to authentic a chain restaurant could get! Thank you again to the staff for the recommendation!
Service and cleanliness are great but food quality is subpar. Not the same Freebirds of the 1990's. Suggest looking at better quality ingredients to improve business.
I tried the new Birra tacos. I loved that you can pick how you want them made. Of course I had to have sauted veggies and the corn relish, which are 2 of my absolutes. I ordered online and received the delivery quickly. The delivery person's knock on the door made us smile. The customization on the birra tacos, even down to flour or corn tortilla was awesome. Thank you FreeBirds in Pasadena, Texas (Fairmont Pkwy.). 💜💖❤️💜
The classic Freebirds vibe, but I did notice that the food wasn’t as fresh as some other locations. The chicken and rice were cold, and the lettuce was soggy. Not terrible, but not the best experience I’ve had at a Freebirds before. For the price it’s a great quick bite, but to be honest I don’t plan to come back to this specific location. It could have been bad timing or an off day, but it certainly was not the quality and freshness I would have expected. Staff was kind and helpful though! Always great people working here!!
I hardly get to take a picture of the food before it’s all gone. Tried almost everything on the menu, but the burritos are the way to go. Staff is friendly, efficient and quick. Restrooms are clean. I’m not always a big fan of Mexican chains, only because I feel most places compromise on flavor, but that’s not the case here.
Restaurant was dirty and not stocked up. It was awfully slow to be that dirty -- floors, tables, bathroom. Service was great, food was pretty good.
This used to be my favorite spot to go to on a weekly basis but after today I think I'm going to take another look before picking freebirds. The food is okay if declining in quality even when it is fresh. The workers are always kind, especially the collared shirt managers who have never given me a problem. There was a new manager upon my visit today, however, who was incredibly belligerent and was tossing what looked like pans and afterwards went to the back to yell at the other employees with cursing. I don't know what is going on with this company but they'll lose my business because of it.
This used to be my go-to spot on my lunch break because I absolutely loved the flavors, portion sizes, and rewards, but over the years there has been a bit of a decline Freebirds is a TX company that was the answer to burrito spots like Chipotle. The concept is pretty much the same, pick the entree type and individually pick out ingredients. The toppings are fairly similar, but at Freebirds it's more of a TexMex vibe in terms of flavors. They had queso first, peppers and onions, and a variety of sauces Over the years the entrees expanded from burritos, to also bowls, tacos, quesadillas, to nachos, etc. They add the occasional protein change like brisket options. And they've added potatoes and a couple other toppings to the menu The vibe used to feel more like a hip burrito shop with hip/punk baristas, but now it feels more commercialized. Before they would load up on all the toppings and not charge you extra. Now there are much smaller portions, and virtually everything feels like it costs extra. The last time I came in the nachos were a set price and now the menu says nachos "+ .50 cents" Even the rewards program changed. It used to be much easier to get a free entree with points. I even made it to their "rock star" level where they would send me Freebirds branded merch like sunglasses, shirts, etc. they still offer points and deals through the app, but it's just different I know it sounds like I'm complaining about a franchise on one restaurants page, but this is the Freebirds I've gone to the most by far. It used to be regular, at least once a a week, and now I might go there twice a year. The staff is fine, but it's lost the cool fun vibe. There always seems to be a manager working, and you can tell because they're no-non sense The flavors are good. It's still a tasty option. It's just a little sad they this once trendy little resistance to BIG Burrito has now become just that Some tips: The nachos have always been the best bang for their buck. Load them up and be sure to get queso on top. Check the app for deals like free queso or a free dessert with purchase. The best thing about them is on your birthday you get a free entree no purchase necessary. Also, be aware that things like steak cost more than chicken... adding potatoes or shredded cheese and queso cost extra. And brisket is wildly over priced Cheers!!
I went the other day and ordered some nachos, I asked tor refried beans and the dude had to scrap them off the sides of the dish; disgusting. Then I asked for steak and the meat wasn’t even cooked all the way, it was VERY pink. Everything was cold so I asked for a refund and it still has yet to go through. The manger didn’t even apologize either he just offered the refund and that’s it. What a great business y’all are running here.
Honestly the food at Freebirds as a whole has significantly gone downhill in the last few years. I keep coming back hoping that it was just a fluke but nope I am certain that their food will forever remain terrible. Steak tastes like it comes out of a can and guacamole out of a bag. The people working at this location are not friendly at all. Presentation of food looks like a bowl of vomit. Do better especially when I am paying 20+ dollars for a regular burrito bowl and a drink.
Extremely slow service. This is my first time to go to this location. The line didn't move for 15 mins. Not sure why it was so slow with only 3 people in line. Think I'll pass on coming back here. The selection for toppings was really limited. All of the dressings were watered down to the consistency of milk. The steak looked gross. Like dog food. I got the prime rib or ribeye. I can't remember. It was the only meat that looked decent. So I paid $13 for a tiny bowl. Other burrito places do much better. Freebirds use to be good. What happened?? So here you get bad service, poor selection, overpriced poor quality food, and a really slow line. I'll never go back to any freebirds again..
Are the employees being told to cut down on quantity? I’ve been coming here for years and seen this place just go down slowly. Freebirds isn’t what it use to be. First the environment changed, then, the quality of the food. The seasoning is inconsistent and most of the time, the rice is under cooked. Now, you have to ask the employees for an extra scoop of everything. It’s like they’re being trained to drastically cut down on portions and not being trained enough on preparing the food. My food didn’t even come up halfway up the bowl. Don’t even waste your time ordering online because they’ll give you even less! Let’s not forget about avoiding the chips and queso on the side. The chips are stale days old and they’ll skimp that queso cup.
How unfortunate it is when a food store doesn’t t have well-trained employees, employees who provide clear and correct information to customers, especially when this customer is visiting the store for the first time; Employees who, in addition to receiving payment for their time employed, could understand the mission of their work, which is a customer who feels happy and satisfied for the experience at this store and with the intention to come back. Unfortunately it wasn’t the case; Almost 47 dollars for three taco bowls, just because their employees are not clear about their mission in this store, what an annoying situation.
