If you thought the sushi you usually find was already tropicalized, it's because you haven't been to Xempasushi. Ever craved carne asada sushi? Maybe pastor or cochinita pibil? Well, you can find it here. The food is fairly standard; the roll wasn't what I expected, and the yakimeshi with tampico was bland. The berry smoothie was the star of the order: perfectly crushed ice, slightly sweet, with chunks of frozen mango and a tamarind candy stick. I recommend eating outside; inside, the space felt very limited. The chairs don't quite fit the tables, so you can end up a bit far from your food.
