Nice venue for events requiring space for about 100 or more. Multiple floors so you can spread people out. The main stage area can be viewed from the mezzanine level, bar area and floor level. Service was excellent as we had servers continuously providing appetizers during our special event. Plenty of street parking and there are parking lots within minutes of the venue. Great location in University City!

Intimate nice place. Clean as well. Good sound system And without a doubt don’t skip trying the duck cheesteak. It’s insanely good. I’m a foodie and I promise. Try it.

Love this venue! The acoustics are great. Nice for an intimate show - can be on the floor or seated on the mezzanine. Also a standing section in the bar area in back. Great shows I’ve seen here!

This place is incredible! It's the perfect intimate setting for some delicious food, tasty drinks, and good live music! I got the lavender blueberry lemonade, as well as the short ribs. The staff were great, they were very attentive and all pitched in to check up on us. We will definitely be back!

Very nice smallish venue, the staff from the front door to the ushers to the bartenders were all so welcoming. We went to a concert that was General Admission, ie standing and my husband can’t stand for long periods (at all, very bad back) and they had convenient ADA seats. Clean bathrooms! Would definitely come back. We walked from the Rittenhouse area across the river, can’t speak to parking.

Well known and recognized venue with WXPN affiliation Multiple performance spaces, bar and food available as well. Parking in public garage is around the corner. Friendly staff.

This is such a great and important venue for Philly. You have acts large and small, indie and corporate, and a two-theatre venue of a great size. I've had an awesome time getting to know artists of all ilks here.

Really fun show & Cool venue!

Absolutely perfect evening! If there were small bites options that would put the icing on the cake! However, the singers and band were exceptional! I would certainly attend another candlelight. The evening was giving Great vibes only club.

Never knew this place existed until now. Really neat small scale venue! We saw a show in the lounge. Service was great, along with the sodas and appetizer we ordered. Parking is available close by at Penn Park.

This place was clean, the food was fresh, and the drinks were perfect. The chef came out and greeted everyone. The bar staff were attentive. The music was great and the energy of the crowd was electric. I completely enjoyed myself.

Such a unique venue! Never silence the music!!!!

Great Blind Pilot show! I love a show with a bit of an older crowd, no pushing, no cell phones recording the entire show, no one spilled beer on me lol Great time over all!

I woukd highly recommend, the performance was perfect with some added humor. I would suggest at least 1 more bartender. Waiting 35 min for 1 drink is way to long.

Great sound system! Delicious vegan items on the menu. Highly recommend vegan meatloaf. Generous portion of hearty “meat”loaf. The perfect comfort entree!

Great music at a great venue, highly recommend the New Orleans Jazz Show.

Had a great first time at WCL to see The Jazz Room- Tribute to Soul. Venue is really nice. Enjoyed the concert immensely. Shout out to Kirby who assisted with our seating and the upstairs lounge staff (door and bartender) for help in ensuring we could order our food and eat at our seats(drove up from DE and the weather was treacherous so we did not have enough time to enjoy the lounge). Will definitely return for future live concert events.

Our first visit . We were not disappointed. All procedures ran smoothly from ticketing , to parking, admission and seating. The Bar is well stocked. They made a killer Old Fashion ! The intimacy of the venue and masterfull sound board technicians made for a wonderful music experience. The entire crew were helpfull and made us feel welcomed. Congratulations on providing a memorable evening. Looking forward to our next visit.

The show was really good, we just wish it was longer than one hour! Venue was intimate and sound was excellent. Will be finding more shoes to attend!

I attended the Jazz show on December 7, 2025 and the band was amazing as they performed a New Orleans theme they had the audience engaged the entire show and I meant some lovely ladies at my table and we had a ball

Nice venue! Big spacious place! Checked out a Jazz show. Food was good! Show was good! They have a restaurant and bar as well as bar downstairs for shows. Nice friendly staff! Fish and chips were really good! And Fish and grits.

Went to a album release party with Freeway and Son of the 215. Had a nice time and the place is very comfy! Not to big and not to small. They had lite bite food and drinks. Nice place!

It is a medium size, but comfortable venue, every seat in the house provided a great view of the stage. There is street side parking outside of the venue. The earlier you arrive the better chance you are at grabbing a prime parking spot. Only negative the bartender was slow, took every bit of 25-30 minutes to get a drink.

first time attendance last night to see Pearl - let girls be hot tour! the venue is really cute, and the food was really good the broccoli fritters were bomb. the staff was so nice and accommodating and very attentive. the venue is so perfect to see shows and upcoming bands, its small but nor cramped so anywhere you are in the venue you have a good spot/view. we were in the show room on the forth floor. the one thing that annoyed me was when you call the venue you cant get anyone on the phone and the voicemail is full on all the extension, i tried any and all that i could and the recording would just repeat. we reserved a table for the show but even if we didn't it wasn't hard to get drinks at the bar

Went to the free concert they have at noon on Fridays with my girl. We had a good time but the concerts used to at least go for an hour. Don't be late...cause you might just miss it!

The venue is cool and the sound system is great. The only thing to beware is that the menu is NOT the same as the one shown on their website. They’ve gotten rid of 2/3 of the food they advertise which was a bummer. We were looking forward to getting a duck cheesesteak.

Venue and show was great. Food service was just strange. There was hardly anyone there and we were sat at a round high top table that could barely hold some drinks. The waitress looked miserable borderline rude, like we were inconveniencing her by being there. No wonder 20% tip is automatically added to every check. The food itself was good, reasonably priced. There were vegetarian and vegan options (hummus, zucchini fries, falafel, veggie burger). I had the veggie burger and it was good - a little greasy and the aioli wasn't on the side as I requested). Would see a show here again, just might dine somewhere else first.

Good things first. Good food. Reasonable prices. Awesome wait staff & chef. We were there Friday August 1st. It says, it starts at 6pm. We were there at 6pm. Band is not even set up. We couldn't even go in. We walked to another bar and came back around 6.45. Band wasn't still ready. We had We wanted spend 2 hrs there and go somewhere else at 8pm. Spent only 1hr at the venue. They just should change the starting time to 7pm. So, people can plan accordingly. Some people work on time. Place was empty as well.

Went to the jazz show Parlour Noir this Sunday evening. I like the venue but was disappointed with this experience. The venue is a little rough around the edges and needs a refresh. The bartender was very slow and failed to acknowledge me. I was never able to get a drink. The band was average and only performed for only one hour. Tickets were $45 and they only played for one hour, poor performance. Please have greater quality and regard for your audience.

Such a nice place but unfortunately the ball was dropped. Me and my girlfriends went to an event last night and when we were trying to order food, it took almost an hour for someone to come to the table. We eventually found out that someone just quit and it messed their flow up. We tried to order wings and cheesesteak egg rolls but they ran out. Like how do you run out of food so early in the event??? So we order fish and chips and chicken fingers and fries. I asked how many chicken tenders come in the meal and the waitress said 4. When we got our food I only received 3 tenders and the fish was actually big fish sticks. Never order food from there. Plan to eat before you come out. Drinks were ok but not worth the expensive price. They also ran out of cranberry juice too.

Top talent performing in a cavernous room, hard chairs that are very uncomfortable, odd layout spatially, watered down drinks, staff seem a little aloof. I've been here many times to see musical acts, the space is okay, close to public transit and 30th street station Amtrak, however rideshare dropoffs can be tricky with oncoming traffic, ultimately not my favorite destination

My, husband and I, were there for the first time yesterday, 1/24/26. It will be our last time. We were there for the show. The did not look like the artist they were supposed to be. Did not look like or move like them. It was in a cold drab basement. False advertisement. We do not recommend.

2/7/2026 man paid 15 bucks for 5 small mozzarella sticks. Overpriced 2forst bite all cheese came out. . Smallest steak egg rolls i ever had.no meat 16 bucks.. service was good for the mandatory 20% gratuity. But I like to choose the tip. Paid more for the food than the tickets Bottom line

I went to the Bruh Man show and honestly… never again. The venue was completely maxed out to the point that people were sitting on the stage with the comedian, and they were even borrowing chairs from another spot across the street just to fit folks in. On top of that, there was only one bartender, so it took forever just to place an order. The whole experience felt disorganized and overcrowded — definitely not what I expected.

The show itself was great no issues with the performance. We waited over an hour for food service but to no avail. I went up to talk to the manager and he immediately started gaslighting me and saying "I had been there last week" and refused to talk to me or serve us. I literally had to threaten to have our whole table leave to get him to come over. It was ridiculous. Then they never brought us drinks we ordered and later tried to charge us twice on drinks we never got and billed us for another tables food and drinks. Through the experience all of the regular staff was understanding. The manager had it out for me for no reason and said I was trying to walk out on the table without paying when we already had paid! I am going to dispute the charges today that was ridiculous. Never going back.

They over sold tickets to the Bruh Man show last night, The Laff House were in partnership lied to us about sending tix to a future show.. Then they lied and said that it would be a 10pm show.. There was no show lol.. We were lied to, gaslighted, and ripped off.. the AI representative when you call the box office is no help.. Never again it was confusion.. and lies! over it..
