Ristorante con staff cordiale e piatti ottimi. La zuppa a base di latte di cocco, di "un ricordo di un viaggio dimenticato" è stato una delle zuppe più buone che io abbia mai assaggiato. È stata una ottima cena di San Valentino.

Bel posto, cibo molto buono, personale gentile e simpatico. Piatti anche molto belli, il “boccone” rosa che sembra dolce ma invece è salato, è una delle cose più buone che abbia mangiato. Un’esplosione buonissima.

Abbiamo provato il menù da 9 portate. È stata una bellissima esperienza culinaria. In particolare ci è piaciuta la carbonara dolce che, servita come dessert,richiamava l'originale nella consistenza e nella composizione. Carta dei vini molto ampia.

Quarto stellato nel mio percorso di scoperta della cucina sperimentale. Menù da 9 portate a 330 euro per due persone e 3 calici di accompagnamento a 110 euro per due persone. Pietanze assolutamente di spessore. Un percorso sensoriale importante con accostamenti entusiasmanti a materie prime anche semplici ma.molto.ben esaltate. Non ci ha entusiasmato l'ultimo piatto: amatriciana rivisitata fuori contesto sia logico che di percorso... Con cipolla e aceto... Purtroppo per in romano è un accostamento poco gradevole con permanenza in bocca spiacevole post pasto. Tutto il resto promosso. Fantastico e di compagnia il servizio. Serata molto piacevole nel complesso

Esperienza incredibile, il viaggio vale la pena per provare il ristorante e la cucina di Angelo Troiani, passione, innovazione, ricerca e tradizione uniti nei sui piatti. Una delle sorprese più grandi sono state le salse e le riduzioni, una piccola quantità provoca un esplosione du gusto in bocca, così come ogni boccone. Piatti divertenti da provare e “interattivi”. Lo chef a fine cena passa a salutare tutti i tavoli ascoltando le preferenze e feedback delle persone, rispondendo alle curiosità, l’ho apprezzato! Rispetto ad altre esperienze in ristoranti stellati, in questa ogni piatto ha lasciato il segno.

We visited just before Christmas and, having been to a few Michelin starred restaurants, this is easily one of our favourites. The hospitality was amazing, warm, friendly, and made us feel really looked after. The ambience was lovely too: quiet, relaxed, and it felt quite private, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One standout dish for me was the Ajo Ojo, an explosion of flavours and absolutely delicious. I also had the best white wine I’ve ever tasted, Gorgona. An incredible experience all round.

This was one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives, hands down. My husband surprised me with a reservation for my birthday dinner during our trip to Rome. We were absolutely blown away by the level of hospitality, cuisine and the overall atmosphere. We received wonderful chef’s compliments along with our 7-course meal selection too. One of my favourite parts of the evening was the snack presentation hanging from a dry grape vine! This is so beautiful and creative. At the end of the night, the chef himself came out to greet the customers and we had a chance to compliment him on the food personally. Immaculate service from start to finish. We were extremely happy with our choice and now recommend the restaurant to all our friends. I love it how the restaurant is in a quiet unremarkable location, but once you enter, it’s a completely different world inside.

Loved everything about this place! The setting is so creative. I studied art in collage so I found it really fun when they used real paintbrushes to spread the butter. Maybe it’s just my personal taste, but I felt the pasta was a bit too firm. All the other dishes were delicious, full of clever little details, and most importantly, the design and flavors blended seamlessly together without feeling forced. I had such a happy birthday here. To end the night, the chef even came out to greet everyone and ask about our experience, I really appreciated that!

Luca Luca Luca- best service ever! We didn’t know what to expect when we went in but it did not disappoint. As Americans on our honeymoon we were worried we didn’t know the proper etiquette but Luca helped guide us and the chef- wow wow wow. There was a compliment of the chef I wasn’t going to eat because I don’t eat duck and they took it right back to the kitchen to make the same item my husband was eating with a cheese substitute. Every item was interesting and surprising at every turn- but the traditional pasta dish was anything but, best spaghetti I’ve ever eaten hands down!

This Michelin starred restaurant was quite fantastic. The location is a bit strange but inside it was very pleasant. From arrival we were greeted with a range of staff and during the meal the chef visited us to discuss the menu, which was excellent. We chose the 7 course tasting menu and were not disappointed. The dining offered quirky ideas which were very entertaining eg the paint palette bread and butters. The wine pairing was well matched. Not a cheap meal but a memorable experience.

My husband and I ate here while staying in Rome for a quick leg of the trip. The restaurant was pretty empty but it was one of the best Michelin star restaurants we’ve been to! We did the tasting menu and the Amatriciana is something we still talk about to this day. Heavenly meal, incredible service, and an overall outstanding experience. We literally want to go back just for that pasta!

We ate here on our first night in Rome and loved it! (It was supposed to be our second night but we had a passport mishap). We had our 7-year-old with us and they were so accommodating and sweet to her. 🩷 definitely do the courses and trust the chef. And plan to be there for at least a couple of hours. A warm thanks to the chef and servers who made our first night so pleasant and memorable (even though we were quite jet lagged!). Let them know when you make the reservation if you have special dietary needs. The portions are sized to perfection. The plating is gorgeous. risotto was sublime. The ‘carbonara’ dessert was clever but it felt like more show than flavor.

The food was delicious and the service was stellar. We did the tasting menu and it was well balanced with flavors. We were there for about 3 hours, and sat in the "gallery" room. I would say that our experience here was consistent with other 1 Michelin star experiences that we've had. My wife really liked the opening "painter's bread" experience but I thought it was a little silly. I didn't catch our waiter's name but he has worked there for about 6 years and did an incredible job. He was knowledgeable, he was theatric, he was attentive. The food was great but this man really elevated the experience and made us feel taken care of. We watched him take care of other tables and one time he even sent a dish back by his own decision. He made us mocktails at our table that were delightful.

Came for my birthday as a surprise from my girlfriend. We were shown to the gallery room and given painting palettes with butter which was a nice touch. We were also given a free sparkling wine glass and a Happy Birthday surprise at the end which was a lovely gesture on a special day! The waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable and he helped us choose a great red wine. The food was unreal, otherworldly and divine! The staff were very friendly, helpful and funny and made my birthday a special experience. If we are in Rome again, we will be booking here! Beautiful!!

Ristorante di livello elevato con servizio ineccepibile in una atmosfera riservata e rilassante. La cucina si esprime con accostamenti di avanguardia spesso azzeccati. Mi è piaciuto molto la pasta con gamberetti e altri preziosi ingredienti; mi è piaciuto meno lo stinco di maiale. Mi aspettavo di più dal pane servito a tavola, lo avrei preferito di maggiori varietà. Nel complesso un'esperienza positiva.

L’impressione è quella di partecipare ad una liturgia, ed in effetti il locale sembra un’ austera cappella, il personale sembra l’ufficializzante, i clienti i fedeli. Ad un certo punto appare anche lo chef come un Re Taumaturgo, al quale non si sa bene che dire. Come in ogni liturgia le distrazioni o variazioni non sono gradite, e vengono immediatamente redarguite. Così il giovane cameriere si trova spaesato per aver posato prima il piatto al signore e non alla signora e guardato in sghimbescio dal superiore (uno dei titolari?) inscena un tenero balletto (posa piatto, togli il piatto…) nel tentativo di distogliere l’attenzione, ottenendo il risultato inverso. Così il cliente che comunica di non mangiare carne e viene direzionato verso variazioni vegetariane, peccato trovarsi poi il maccaron con fagiano davanti, sotto lo sguardo rassicurante del cameriere (titolare?) che non lo considera carne. Così come rinunciare al dolce, chiedendo un digestivo fa impallidire gli ufficializzanti che premurosi si attivano per una tisana digestiva, peccato che la richiesta sia un liquore digestivo, che non accoglie altrettante simpatie perchè non previsto nel tempo liturgico. Anche le variazioni sul pagamento sono poco gradite: avendo ricevuto un buono regalo abbiamo pagato gli extra chiedendo fattura, cosa che, naturalmente, ha creato fastidio. Il personale non è assolutamente scortese, il fatto è che sembra più votato all’esecuzione del rito che alla soddisfazione del cliente che nella loro visione è un fedele esecutore del suo ruolo. Sulla cucina, sinceramente, ho poco da dire, non amo i cibi troppo elaborati e di difficile digestione, probabilmente a parte la bellezza artistica dell’impiattamento avrei gradito qualche carezza in più per il palato, in generale i preparati erano piuttosto insipidi. Sicuramente si può migliorare, nonostante l’apparente successo, si ha l’impressione di un rito un po’ stanco e costruito intorno ad una stella cadente.

L'impiattamento è bello. I bicchieri di murano sono favolosi...il cibo no. I vini potevano essere meglio ma purtroppo il nostro sommelier non era in grado a scegliere per noi quello che volevamo nonostante le richieste abbastanza precise. La materia prima doveva essere più fresca

Servizio sbrigativo e poco personalizzato, che non rispecchia l’impegno che ci sta dietro a ogni piatto che esce dalla cucina . Abbinamento vini ok. Da provare ma da non ritornarci più.

The entrance resembles the back yard of a private residence. It is closed, and guests must ring the bell to gain access. Inside, the décor is beautiful and simple. The nine-course meal came with nine glasses of wine—seven white and only two red. As enthusiasts of red wine, we were disappointed and expected at least a 5:4 ratio of white to red wine. The food was average, predominantly seafood, and lacked the variety we anticipated. We were particularly looking forward to beef and pork, but only pigeon was served as the sole meat dish. Overall, the experience did not meet the high expectations set by the price and Michelin star rating. We will not be returning.

The overall experience was positive, we have visited more than a handful of Michelin Star restaurants with tasting menus in our 3 weeks here in Europe. I’d have to say the food here was just “ok”. We ordered the 5 menu option due to the selections available. We were left wanting just a little bit more, maybe it was due to us not receiving a dessert dish to wrap up the meal, not really sure. The staff were good, professional however the overall feeling was there wasn’t a genuine passion for the job. We very much enjoyed our meal at another Michelin Star restaurant the night prior, as well as at a 3rd establishment 3 nights prior. We had a certain level of expectation due this being a Michelin Star rated restaurant. For the price we paid (more than the 2 previous in Rome), we felt it didn’t quite hit the mark. Almost, but not quite. Maybe the menu has changed some since receiving their Michelin Star? Anyhow, I would like to reiterate the staff were good. Very professional & everyone knew what needed to be done. We thank-you for the opportunity to experience the menu.

Buona esperienza ma tanta strada da fare ancora in cucina. Servizio impeccabile, sebbene agè e fake-pettinato. Selezione vino ok ma concentrata su champagne piuttosto che su alternative funky e più sperimentali. Il cibo basic e poco curato: tentacolo di polpo bruciato completamente e si vede bene nella fotografia che allego alla recensione, sabbia nella capasanta.. Una stella michelin non può permettersi questi errori nei piatti. Ottima la quaglia, ok il dolce. Estetica dei piatti decente. Bene per i turisti ma meno bene per palati più esperti ed attenti ai dettagli

Quando vado in un ristorante di questo livello mi aspetto non solo dei piatti speciali ma anche un servizio all'altezza. Questo al Convivio per la seconda volta non è accaduto. Inoltre l'imbarazzo in cui mi ha messo il cameriere al momento dell'assaggio del vino non è accettabile. Il vino non era di mio gradimento ed il cameriere insisteva nel dire che era a posto e non lo avrebbe cambiato. Mi sono dovuto imporre dicendo che lo avrei pagato comunque ma che non volevo rovinarmi la cena. Alla fine non mi ha fatto pagare la bottiglia respinta, ma ritengo che un cameriere di un ristorante di questo livello non dovrebbe proprio fiatare e soddisfare il cliente. Non si capisce a che serve tutta la sceneggiata dell'assaggio, se scelgo e poi mi accorgo che non mi piace, lo devo bere per forza?
