Italian food done right! We loved everything we ordered, returned twice during our stay.

Dropped in for an early dinner and sat outside. Service all around was seamless and friendly, shout out to Arturo, Miguel and Antonio. Food was excellent, everyone around us was smiling and enjoying. Get the Ziti, and their pizza was the best we tasted in the valley. Highly recommend!

I love this pizza place, hands down the best pizza in the desert (and I’m a lifelong pizza fiend). They kept the classical Italian American vibes, have great wood oven style pizza, and their Brussels sprouts are out of this world (especially because of their secret sauce).

Simply outstanding!!! From the moment we walked through the door the staff was friendly & accommodating. The margarita pizza was as good as the pizza we have enjoyed in Italy!! This will definitely be a regular stop for us when in Palm Desert ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We LOVE Pizza Vino!!! The Neapolitan pizza is the best pizza in the desert. If you like thin, crispy crust and very tasty toppings you will be very satisfied. We usually sit in the bar and enjoy the service of either Luis, Andy or Ruth. They are all great and the Happy Hour all day adds an additional benefit. Their house wines are very solid and a great value. The salads are also awesome.

The BEST rigatoni bolognese. When we visit Palm Desert we always make this place a stop. You won't be disappointed.

Unbelievable food, great service, must try! This is the most authentic Italian food my wife and I have ever had in the states, by far. The place was busy, we just wanted to get a Caprese salad on our last night in PD, stumbled on this gem, they sat without a rez quickly, service was great, food is 10/10. People downplaying this place, need to be booted off google reviews, seriously.

Yes, yes, yes. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful spinach salad with pears and Margherita pizza with extra basil. They forgot the extra but before we could say anything Louise our bar tender was right on it. Great guy. We are out of towners but he made us feel like one of the locals. Great atmosphere. Even had a surprise clown ( not the scary kind) that was hilarious.

This was the most authentic pizza I’ve had in a very long time! The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice as well. I will for sure go back to try other items on the menu. We had the Calamari and it was so delicious!

Pizza and appetizer were both outstanding! Exceeded both of our expectations would recommend to any pizza lover. Didn't get picture of appetizer because it was gone in minutes I completely forgot! Waiter was great and all staff were friendly! Even had clean bathrooms.

Exceptional authentic Neopolitan pizza . I have tried most of the pizzas but the simple margherita is my fave! I had the arugula salad to start with the citrus dressing and of course town’s best cappuccino ! Love this place, atmosphere, service and food all top notch.

Second time we visited. Just as amazing as the first time. Great and delicious food. Service was awesome, thanks Victor! Cannot tell in words what a gem this place is.

OMG best pizza I've EVER had!!! 🤯🤯🤯 I got the white sauced pizza called "Alba" on gluten free dough. Alba has Piero's white sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, truffle paste, and topped with a lightly cooked egg. I was worried that there'd be too few ingredients for me, but OMG AMAZING!!!! The flavor was PERFECTION!!! We will definitely make time to come back here when we're in town again!! The other thing that tasted so great was the cannoli for dessert. The cream inside had specks of orange zest, and must've been little specks of white chocolate butter or something that just melted in your mouth and wasn't over sweet. The flavor of the cannoli cream was multi-faceted, dynamic and delightful! Since I'm gluten-free I only tasted the cream and was so close to asking them to just give me a bowl of the cream with some strawberries on it, but instead tried to scoop out as much as possible from my husband's cannoli that he was left with almost an empty shell. 😅 Other pictures are of the eggplant "rollatini" as an appetizer, which had a great taste throughout and highlighted the great flavor of their red sauce, the Ciccia-Ciccia pizza, and a kid's cheese pizza. My husband said the Ciccia-Ciccia had a very tasty dough and high quality toppings. He thought it was good, not amazing, but he definitely thought the cream inside the cannoli was top-notch! Lovely staff, atmosphere, and amazing food!! 🤩🤩🤩

We sat at the bar for dinner and served by the bartender who was extremely pleasant and attentive. The 2 stuffed zucchini flowers and smallish burrata were both excellent. The pizza crust was a little too thin for my liking but still very good. The linguini with meatballs was a little disappointing. The linguini was swimming in sauce. The ground meat for the meatballs was ground too fine and the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. The portion sizes were definitely reflective of the reduced price on the Happy Hour menu. All in all, still pretty good.

Pleasant atmosphere, with good food and service. The experience was soured by the rude attitude from a manager who berated us for moving a table a few inches so we could actually sit down! Fortunately there are many other restaurants to choose from in Palm Desert, so I am happy to drop this on from our list.

Adding dogs to an already cramped space is unpleasant. The food was okay and the service was great. Protecting my plate from the dog at the next table - which was less than an arms length away was not fun. The dog even wrapped its leash around the table it was at so much so that the whole table tipped. Thankfully the human with the dog caught the table before a mess was made. In such tight quarters on a busy Friday night dogs should be restricted so that paying customers can enjoy their dinner.

We have been enjoying this restaurant for years and hopefully last night was a one off! Our waitress was clearly upset and annoyed with hosting our table. That was the first time we ever felt unwelcomed and hope she has a better night. It’s been a few months since we’ve been in and assume this isn’t a trend. Otherwise the food was stunning as usual.

Frank, the hostess was very short and seemed angry when we asked to sit in the bar area. We were 4 people and he let us know more than once that if we sat anywhere other than the bar that we would not get happy hour prices. We didn't really care about that. I don't normally write reviews but this was just beyond rude. P.S. the food and our waiter great!

Went to Piero’s tonight for dinner. Got the shrimp spinach and artichoke dip for an app and it was good. My wife and I both of pizzas and both were excellent! Can’t say enough about the food, really good. The service, u fortunately wasn’t though. We had reservations at 7 and got Arturo as the waiter. He never checked in to see how the app was or the pizzas, I had to ask for the bill. We wanted to get desert but didn’t want to have to ask him for everything! He started cleaning up the restaurant at 8 and was so focused on that he couldn’t care less we were in the restaurant. I would go back, but would ask for someone else next time.

We were told this was the best Italian restaurant around. I am not going to agree with the recommendation. Fun seating outside and looks inviting when walking in. We had reservations and were guided through the kitchen serving area to a back room that was stuffy, cramped and uninviting. The wood varnish tables were sticky and the staff were slow to take drink orders. The food descriptions on the menu sounded great and I was expecting food that would make my taste buds go wild.... and that didn't happen. Our pizza was good and the crust/dough was flavorful and cooked nicely, but it was still just a cheesy pepperoni pizza (11 in. for $23). The pasta with vodka sauce was a bust. Ordered it with chicken (extra $$) and I can say would not order again. Big bowl of pasta with light sauce and hardly any chicken. It just didn’t live up to the flavors promised from the description. They did not offer any bread and we had to ask for water refills twice. Sorry Piero's, you will not be making my comeback again list.

To start, we had a reservation for our party, and arrived on time. Multiple tables were open as it was early in the evening. They sat us right in front of, not to the side, not far enough for access, but right in front of the storage room for the bar/alcohol. They were constantly going on and out of the room, knocking our chairs, and bumping us every time. I asked to be moved, and the host refused. Plenty of empty tables to accommodate. He then promised no one would be in the room anymore. Needless to say, 10 min later, more people in and out. It was very disruptive of our dinner. It really did spoil the evening. The food was good. The pizza was good. But they do have a lot of competition in the area. Once we had our food, no return visits from the wait staff until I flagged them down for the check. I used to be a big fan, and frequented very often for lunch, but I'll find somewhere else now.

Was in town for the month with my wife. Sadly she had to fly home for a couple days to have two scans done for her breast cancer surgery. With much concern for my wife and nothing to do on the evening of 2/22, I started calling around to find a restaurant that allowed dogs on their patio which Piero's said they did. When I got there I parked and came in the north entrance. I was met after I came in by a gentleman that welcomed me and said I could sit on the patio, so I went out and sat at a table with my dog. A waiter came by and asked if I had been seated and I said yes, the gentleman that met me when I came in said it was okay. After sitting at the table for more than five minutes I had another very rude man with two other customers in tow ask me the same question. I answered the same, that I was told I could sit at the table with my dog. He then very rudely and in front of the two other customers, proceeded to call me a liar and said he was the one seating customers. He then told me the table was for two other people and asked me to get up and leave the table. With my dog in tow I went back in the restaurant and with some difficulty found the check in desk in the middle of the restaurant. I was sat and told I had until seven to eat. The food was fantastic, the waiter very helpful. I will not come back again however. The way I was treated by whoever is in charge of sitting guests should be fired if they treat all guests the way I was treated. It would have gone over very well if he would have said there must have been a mistake, then let me know the table was reserved for others. This was my first time in your establishment. The reception desk is not near what I assumed was the front door. I just wanted a quiet place where my dog

So disappointed in Piero’s. After coming here since 2020, it’s turned into one of those “you should be so lucky to be here” places. Shame on the host, Frank, for being so rude he nearly brought my wife to tears. We had a 7:15 reservation, were running early, and called on the ride over. Frank said the walk-in wait for two was about 15 minutes. We told him we were 14 minutes out. His response: “Well, that could change before you get here…” rude from the jump. I dropped my wife to check in while I parked. When I got back, she was visibly upset. Frank told her we couldn’t get on the walk-in list because we had a reservation, and that he’d seat us “closer to our reservation,” all delivered with zero kindness. She was practically in tears. Blessing in disguise. We went down the street to Trattoria Mezzomondo, also packed, and were welcomed into a true Italian, family-owned spot. They walked us through the menu and specials with care. The homemade pasta was extraordinary? you could taste the love. The host/owner, Luda, was an absolute delight and genuinely wanted us to feel taken care of. It felt like going to Grandma Marie’s back in the day. The cherry on top? The receipt said it all: “Remember, we are cooking for you.” Exactly. I can’t recommend Mezzo enough. Maybe Frank was having a bad day, but I doubt it, and I won’t be giving him another shot. Frank, go eat at Mezzo. Experience Luda. Soften your heart and relearn what leadership and hospitality actually look like in an Italian restaurant.
