Tip: Try their specialty lattes or espresso, and consider buying a bag of their in-house roasted beans. If the mocha is too sweet, opt for the smaller 12oz size.

Well, if you love amazing coffee that is roasted in-house, then this is your place! Absolutely stellar coffee, and it’s family owned AND run! They were roasting when I arrived today and that’s pretty freaking cool. You need to stop in and check this place out and take a bag of coffee with you!
This is by far the best coffee I've had. I'm not a coffee drinker because I find it too bitter, but this is the only coffee that has made me second guess. You can taste the freshness and the notes of the Ethiopian blend! Friendly staff, great service!
Yummm! Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. We got the Del Rey latte, matcha, coffee bread, and the salted chocolate chip cookie — all so good! We’ll definitely be back.
One of the best coffees I’ve had in DFW; extremely smooth and not bitter. You can tell they put a lot of love in what they do.
Seriously the cutest! A true hidden gem. Walked here on the Chisholm trail, and had no idea it was here! Delicious coffee and wonderful service. Can’t wait to try all the different roasts. I will definitely be making this my go to coffee shop ❤️
The friendliest staff!!! And the coffee and matcha taste sooo good! Highly recommend!
Hospitality-10. In house roasting-10. Taste-10. Satisfaction-10. Will I go back? Yes! Ready for the Papa New Guinea beans next week.
An actual hidden gem for coffee people of DFW. A small little shop that gives attention to everything within their walls, from a perfect espresso, pour over, or coffee roasts, you can expect that care has been put into it. A perfect spot to grab a great coffee when you are in the area
This is my new go-to place for great coffee beans. I’ve been learning more about coffee and wanting to be more thoughtful about what makes a good coffee profile. Since this is a micro roaster, I wanted to give them a shot. The verdict: best beans I’ve come across so far. I started with Coffee Del Rey’s El Salvador roast. Super cleaner and bright and I loved it. Next bag I tried their Brazil roast. A bit more funky and syrupy - not my personal favorite but I know some people like their coffee “heavier”, and it was a clear distinction from the first bag and was good for me to learn about the different washing techniques and altitudes the roaster use and how that plays into a coffee’s flavor/acidity/etc. Then I tried their Dominican roast and I think this is the winner for me! All of that to say, this place had great coffee beans, they always treat you like family, and they’re helpful for those wanting to learn more about coffee. God bless, guys!
I am in town visiting family and love visiting local coffee shops. Del Rey was highly reviewed so we decided to stop in. The Spring Menu was up and I knew I needed to try the honey lavender latte. It was incredible. The staff was friendly and helpful! Would def come to this gem of a coffee shop/roasters! I’ll be back to grab my bag of beans!
When I moved from working in office to WFH, the one big thing I missed was the nitro cold brew keg on tap my old office had. I'm a big coffee drinker and needed to duplicate that setup at home. Mario guided me through everything I would need and came and set everything up for me. I now have regularly delivered cold brew in my home office. Great coffee and great service!
Coffee del Rey is an intimate hidden gem ! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere that feels like a cozy escape. A perfect space for savoring a quiet moment or catching up on emails. The tea selection is nothing short of exceptional. What truly sets this coffee shop apart is the owner’s deep knowledge and intentional approach to the coffee selection. Each coffee bean is meticulously chosen. The owner can passionately recount the region of each bean to how it is transformed into the perfect cup of coffee. Whether you’re a tea enthusiast, a coffee aficionado, or simply looking for a cozy spot to relax, this coffee shop promises an experience that is both enriching and unforgettable.
Gotta admit I had a bit of an insider's look into Coffee del Rey. I got to see the family work as a very fluid team taking care of customers, roasting and making drinks. I observed the warmth with which every person who came in was greeted and served, and the joy people would get from coming in and getting a bag of their favorite blend or a cup of coffee to go. I saw them go the extra mile to help a customer figure out the right grind size for her espresso maker at home, tending to her with kindness and know-how (these guys know coffee and are not afraid to share their knowledge). I live abroad so I won't get to be back here in a while but I will remember my time at the shop, having good conversations with a great cup of coffee in my hand. Good people, good times. GOD IS GOOD.

Absolutely love this coffee shop! The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful, the coffee is excellent, and you can truly feel the heart behind what they do. It’s refreshing to support a business that shares Christian values while also serving high-quality drinks and great customer service. Highly recommend!
Delicious! Had it first at the Mckinney farmers market and was blown away by the coffee from El Salvador that they serve. It was perfectly rotated and had some fruity notes to It. My husband lives the espresso they serve! Recently had their version of pumpkin spice latte and it's the best I've ever had! Had more robust fall flavors and tasted fresh!
My go to place every time I’m in town visiting family! The owners are so sweet and the coffee is always on point! You’ve got a forever customer with me! Love you guys 💜
Great service and excellent coffee. The moment you walk in you are greeted with smiles. You can enjoy knowing they make everything with passion and dedication. Try the matcha and the del rey latte.

Del Rey :) had to stop by bc of the name! They roast their own coffee. Former barista assessment: Smooth! They source beans from companies supporting their communities. Friendly owner. Support local!
Delivered here for the first time. The owner and Sam was super sweet 🤍 he offered me a ham and cheese croissant along with a Fiji water ! Made my day ! Food was super good. 10/10 recommend!!

Although it's small in size, the coffee is great in taste. There are a lot of specialty lattes, along with other espresso drinks and standard coffee. They roast beans on site and it smells so good when you walk in. Much better than any chain, this one's a keeper!
So surprised by this place. I love the purpose here but I was also blown away by their coffee. I had a cold brew with cream and it was wonderful. Not acidic or bitter. Just right. I also bought a bag of the espresso blend they roast in house. it was one of the best local blends I’ve ever had. It’s fresh and the espresso shot comes out perfect every time. Makes the perfect at home latte, better than most coffee places. They were very warm and welcoming and happy to make recommendations. This is where I’ll get my whole bean coffee from now on.
Tried this place out on a whim and had a really excellent cafe mocha! Although a bit too sweet for my taste, I quite enjoyed it. The mocha had a hint of cinnamon, vanilla and a bold coffee bean flavor. Both the 12oz and 16oz come with a double shot, so opt for the smaller size if you're after a more concentrated taste. The staff were friendly and humored my coffee nerd questions about their roasts and brewing methods. The drawbacks are the very hidden location and the lack of tables to sip and relax. I suppose they're primarily a coffee roaster and don’t emphasize the cafe experience. Hopefully, they’ll eventually set up a proper cafe in a better spot, because both the coffee and the team were outstanding.
I got a pistachio matcha and it wasn't bad. It wasn't mind blowing, but it was better than many other coffee shops' matcha because it actually tasted like matcha and not just like milk/the syrup! I also asked for light ice and they actually didn't give me too much ice. Only thing I'd complain about is that there isn't much seating so it'd be hard to take friends here. But for takeout it's fine.
The staff is really nice and friendly. The only reason I’m giving them a 4 stars is because I only drink tea: usually matcha or chai but they didn’t have these options :( HOWEVER, it looks this is a good place to stop by and support your local coffee shop! The place it’s small but cozy. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re planning to go there and do a study or work session. They don’t have space for that.

This was my second visit to this location. During my first visit, I believe I met the owner, who took the time to show me the green beans prior to roasting, walk me through their roasted selection, and even recommend a book and a YouTube channel to deepen my understanding of coffee. It was a genuinely thoughtful and memorable experience. He also encouraged me to connect with his son on my next visit. My second visit felt very different. I stood at the counter for some time before being acknowledged and eventually had to greet the barista myself before receiving assistance. When I mistakenly called him by the wrong name, the interaction became uncomfortable. He responded by saying that people often confuse him for being “one of them over there” after calling him Israel, and later stated that he is Mexican. I found this confusing and uncomfortable, especially since I had no intention of implying anything about his background. His father had previously shared his name with me and I must have captured it wrongly, and I was genuinely trying to get it right. These comments were made in front of another customer, which further added to my discomfort. While part of the conversation eventually became more cordial, the tone of the visit had already shifted. I ordered the Cookie Butter latte, which I did not enjoy, though I did purchase a bag of espresso beans and hope to enjoy this batch as much as I did the first. This café is located conveniently across the street from my workplace, and I sincerely hope future visits return to the welcoming and educational experience I initially had.
