Thank you to the young gentleman named Tyler for his patience with helping me select some pastry options. He was able to describe what each one was and helped me get an awesome assortment. Place was very well kept and clean. Very surprised at the over customer service and how well kept the store was. Will definitely be back again to try more of the food.

UPDATE Nov 2024: Again long absence coming here but we did eat several times at other locations in Collin County. One of the locations is our go-to destination on Thanksgiving Day. All the locations have just the right meal (turkey or ham) for the special day. We got one of each and shared. Yummy. Surprise on entry to see how much interior remodeling had been done since our last visit. New floors, tables, chairs beverage station redo. One doesn't take a tray and go through cafeteria line picking out food behind screen. Now just go to register and tell them order, get drink cups and pick out a table. Wonder if other locations will be remodeled? See new interior photos. UPDATE Feb 2021. Long time away although we have been at their other locations several times since 2019. We enjoyed the loyalty discount (buy one get one free entre). Lots of virus mitigation still in effect so its a safe place to eat. Nov 2019: Always get good value for your money at this as well as the other locations. We come here every so often so much competition in Collin county for your food dollar. We went to celebrate a bday, the place was nice with great ambiance. At this establishment you get up and order and get your drinks and they will bring you your food to the table. The food was very good, I had a quiche. My friends also like their food. I got a dessert I believe a lemon 🍋 tart, it was delicious I been craving it . The employees were super nice. I will definitely be back. I give this place a 👍 thumbs up

I have been here several times, and there are a few things which stick out about this place. The atmosphere is a huge part, it is calm and tranquil, catering to an older clientele. The food is delicious and consistent, and they serve breakfast all day. Finally, their wine and coffee are good- not excellent, but good. We always have a good experience, but what makes this place stand out most of all is the atmosphere. It just has the it factor.

I love the food at La Madeleine. This particular location has some pretty old restrooms that were not well maintained when we visited. However, staff were so kind and the food was fresh. My go to meal is always the tomato soup with a caprese panini. If you like tomato soup that has a decent amount of acidity to it, I can’t recommend it enough.

La Madeleine has always been one of my favorite spots with its charming old-town ambiance. The employees are consistently friendly, and the food is reliably good with a great selection. The tomato basil soup is a standout, a signature dish that never disappoints. Their pastries are top-notch, and I've been a loyal fan of their chocolate cake for years - it's a must-have for any birthday party I host, especially with that delightful white diamond on top. However, I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement. They used to have bread on display near the utensils and water, which I really miss. Now, you have to ask for it, which isn't as convenient. Another disappointment was the removal of their delicious tuna salad and tuna sandwich from the menu. Lastly, I'm not a fan of the recent renovations as they seem to have taken away some of the charm that made La Madeleine special. Overall, despite these minor issues, La Madeleine remains a wonderful place to dine. The positives far outweigh the negatives, earning it a solid four stars.

Ordered the chicken caesar salad sandwich and it was the most disgusting thing i’ve ever eaten. It was all chicken, one half had a few SLIVERS of lettuce, the other half had none. Both halves were overfilled with chicken and SOAKED in mayonnaise, maybe it’s supposed to come that way but it was awful. The croutons lost their crunch and were soggy from literally soaking in mayonnaise. They even gave me extra mayonnaise on the side, as if I wasn’t eating a mayonnaise sandwich. You can see in the pictures below how horrendous this was. I feel like a staff member had a vendetta against me or was having a bad day and my sandwich fell victim. I’ve never received any sandwich with mayonnaise from them that came with extra on the side. Possibly a mayonnaise aggressor on staff? Sandwich was also missing cheese, definitely not missing mayonnaise though…

We have been dining at this La Madeleine for the last 15+ years located at the corner of Park and Preston. It used to be our go to and we would not only eat in but we would often take out. They have changed many things about the way they prepare food for takeout now. If you walk in to the restaurant and order a chicken Caesar salad, they will give you a premade salad with cold chicken for the top of it. In the past, they have always made it right then and there and warm chicken was in a container to put on your salad if you were taking it for takeout just like if you were eating in the restaurant. now you are basically getting salads that have been prepared sometime, but you don’t really know when and the chicken is ice cold. They have also reduced the size of their chicken Caesar salad salad, which is about $14 or $15 to half of what it used to be. Bread was always included with salads before, and now unless you request it, you don’t get it at all. So by the time you get home, you have a small salad, cold chicken, and no bread. The other thing that has become really annoying about their takeout, is the fact that they never get everything in the bag. We are always missing something. Most of the time it’s a dessert or additional salad dressing, or a salad that was supposed to go with a sandwich. It’s very frustrating to get all the way home and not have everything that is in your order. Unfortunately, this restaurant has changed within the last five years, and it has not been for the better.

If you like a watery crème brûlée that drips off your spoon, this is the place to get it!! Disappointment is an understatement upon calling to report the incident. I was told it was due to them doing the brûlée procedure on the top, so not the case. It was pulled out of the refrigerator case and put directly into the box. The individual container was cold with the product runny and not set with no true caramelization on the top. I was asked if I’d like to return for another one. I was not even offered the option of providing my information to come back another time so that they had the opportunity to perform a quality control check on the other items in the case. No, I’m not making a separate trip out to only find out it may be a batch that didn’t set. Poor customer service at best!

I walked in after years of not coming in hoping to get some delicious desserts for tonight. I stood at the front dessert counter for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement of my existance. I did not get a "hello be right with you" I even locked eyes with someone and they looked away. You could have told me you were busy and be right with me, I would have waited patienly if I had even been told that.But now you get this; Im not gunna try to come back anymore for your food. I will literally go next door and get desserts from the restaurants who do say hello to me. Sorry your staff sucks.

La madeleine has been going downhill and serving terrible food ever since Patrick the original owner sold it to this group. Burnt salty onion soup, bland food and to top it all, the $5.79 Napoleon was so chewy, too sweet and had only one thin layer of factory made crème pâtissière which is the main ingredient. I honestly couldn’t cut through it with a knife because it was not fresh and the flaky layers so wilted and stuck to each other. Yikes. I am DONE with this chain. This is what happens when a group that knows nothing about provincial French food or any French food for that matter, takes over what used to be the only authentic French country style bistro in Texas.

Ordered 2 croissant breakfast sandwiches which were $9 each to which we got 2 extremely small, for the price sandwiches. One was ordered with NO CHEESE due to an allergy and it came with cheese. The other one was made without the sausage we ordered. Needless to say, we were very disappointed when we got back to the office. Waste of money and waste of food. Won't be back to this location due to the incompetence.
