Mi novio y yo hemos ido como 3 veces porque la comida es deliciosa. La pastas y sus salsas son exquisitas. Yo bebí sangría y estaba súper refrescante, el sabor tan rico. Siempre es agradable ir a La Famiglia.

El mejor restaurante de playa del carmen y la mejor pasta Alfredo con Gamberi que he comido en mi vida. La atención es muy buena, precios justos por las grandes porciones que sirven.

Muy buen taste de la comida. Pedí una pasta con camarones y es abundante y una pizza, muy estilo italiana delgada pero de muy buen sabor y sazón. Recomendable para ir en las tardes/noches ya que aún no tenían en la mañana lista la lasagna y hay una combinación de pastas que la llevan y no pudimos comerla porque era muy temprano aún.

Lovely Alfredo sauce! Good amount of bread for our take out order. The cheese was also good. My daughter ate most of the whole thing by self after a week of seafood she wants pasta and this place knocked it out of the park!

Great restaurant! Looks small from the outside but they have a second floor that’s very spacious. Bruschetta was delicious. Fresh tomatoes, well seasoned, on warm toasted baguette croutons. Pasta was delicious. Friend of mine had the salad, and it was huge. Very generous portions. Pizza was also delicious! But the best part? The tiramisu! It was one of the freshest, smooth and delicious I’ve ever had. Perfect end to a great meal!

We had a lovely dinner at this Italian restaurant and were truly impressed by both the food and the service. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that made us feel right at home. We only had one main dish, the pasta carbonara, but it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, with a creamy and flavorful sauce and just the right amount of seasoning. You could really taste the quality and authenticity. Before the meal, we were served fresh bread with olive oil, sea salt, and a touch of balsamic vinegar. A simple but elegant start that really set the tone for the rest of the evening. Angel, our waiter, was fantastic. He speaks excellent English and was kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. He made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. His great service made the experience even better. We had a great time and will definitely come back to try more dishes. Highly recommended.

Food and service were amazing at La Famiglia! We enjoyed two pizzas, some calamari and a few drinks between 4 people. Both pizzas were incredible - great crust and fresh ingredients. The calamari was great too - a very good breading and they weren't chewy. Although the upstairs was relatively new when we went, it provided a nice view of the street and was air conditioned, so it was very comfortable. The only downside was that at one point the music came on and was very loud. Thankfully the majority of tables asked for it to be lowered, and the restaurant listened which improved the ambience. Great restaurant if you're looking to switch up the cuisine options while in Playa del Carmen! I would come back again!

Great authentic dishes! We got the Carbonara, and Ravioli Fresca and both were delicious. We have been Italy three times and the Carbonara was the best we have had. The waiters are attentive but also not overbearing. If you want somewhere super fast this probably isn’t the place. This place is made for you to enjoy your food and company. We ended our meal with the Tiramisu and it was some of the best we have had. We will be going back to try their pizza.

We came around 6:30 pm right before dinner time. Keep in mind this is a true European restaurant- where they take their time with their food. So if you are looking for a quick dinner, this is not the place. Food was amazingly good, the wait for food is a bit long, like I said it’s a true European restaurant. I’m not a fan only Chardonnay but I have to say the ones they recommended was right on I think point for me. Staffs were friendly and tentative, again I went in October, at low season. I knew there were bad reviews but i was willingly to take my chances, and it was not a disappointment. I will come back for pizza Update - if you like thin crush, thin pizza this is it. We had a whole pizza togo. Then i came back for 2 more slices before I left Playa Del Carmen

This is our first time out in Playa Del Carmen, and we were visiting the street festival. Most places were pretty costly, so we looked around for a place that was not crowed or not as noisy. This restaurant was pretty nice and I do recommend. It's best to find a restaurant like this away from the crowd. We may visit again as it's 40 minutes from Cancun.

Muy buena comida, las pizzas muy grandes y de excelente sabor. Solo una cosa que opaco la ocasión fue que alguien entro a reclamarles algo a los encargados y se armaron de palabras ahi frente a los clientes. Lo cual se sintió incomodo y tenso. Espero a la próxima puedan llevar ese tipo de problemas a otro lugar.

Pizza muy buena la pasta le falta algo…. Reconocer la pizza había tiempo que no probaba una tan rica, la masa muy delgadita y muy bien preparada. Después pedimos unas pastas a todos “nos gustaron” pero nada wow les faltó un poco de sabor en general Los postres muy buenos el volcán de chocolate estaba delicioso. La atención del personal muy atenta y amable en todo momento. Gracias sin duda regresaría.

Dec 7, 2025 - restaurant half full (4 out of about 8 tables) when the 2 of us were seated and ordered. We waited an hour for a pizza and chicken parm.... so expect a wait. Food was great, chicken parm was gigantic... easily feed 2 - 3 people with just that dish. For me, not worth the wait... as there are so many other options nearby.

Excellent Italian restaurant offering a great 2 for 1 drink special between 1pm and 6pm - the Aperol Spritz was well done 👍 we ordered the pizza rucola (arugula) and their homemade fettuccine al salmone. Both were good. I would say, if they made the pasta with a rose sauce (tomato and cream) I think it would have really elevated the flavour. But again they were both good and that’s just my personal opinion and preference. Service was very quick and friendly. Overall it was a nice dinner.

We were recommended this place from Spanish friends, who said it was better than Italian food they had in Spain. Had a combination plate of pasta, which is off the menu (lasagna, ravioli and gnocchi). Friendly staff, affordable, and casual setting

We enjoyed our evening here start to finish. The newer room upstairs is air conditioned. Fettuccine tasted homemade and portions are generous. Prices are reasonable and they have a good wine selection. It was loud, crowded and fun. You may need reservations to be seated. House bread is served with oil and vinegar. I liked the prosciutto appetizer and jumbo shrimp in garlic white wine sauce. Our server memorized the entire table order from drinks to apps to main courses, with separate checks, and without writing anything down. Everything came out perfectly. I saw him do this to the table behind us of about 10 people as well. Very impressive! Great service throughout our meal. I would recommend. Thanks to the staff for a great meal.

La comida me pareció bien, el gnocchi ragú sinceramente no me pareció la gran cosa. El fetuccini de salmón estaba muy bueno. La atención fue buena por parte del mesero ☺️. Es muy tranquilo el lugar

The carbonara tasted and looked like it was leftover and reheated. Dry, pasty, and just not good. (See photo in review) So disappointing. The bolognese was better than the horrible carbonara, and not so disappointing, but still nothing wowed me. The focaccia bread was horrible. The regular bread was basic and not worth eating. The olive oil at the table was not good. So disappointing. The tiramisu was good. There are much better Italian options in Playa.

Le voy a dar 2 estrellas porque: 1.- Me limitaron la catsup. 2.- Resulta que se les acabó el jamón serrano en ese momento (la gran mayoría de sus pizzas lo incluyen 🙄) 3.- He comido mejores pizzas 🍕 4.- El mesero se hacía el chistosito con algunos comentarios. (Solicitamos de beber un par de sueros porque nos gustan y su comentario fue: vienen fusilados? Cruditos? Cuando nosotros ni bebemos

Had the worst experience in this restaurant! One of the apparent partners of the owner came here with a nepotist attitude treating the people that work here like garbage, yelling racist comments towards the staff. The food was amazing and the staff was beyond incredible but I will NEVER come back! If you support any type of racism or nepotist attitudes towards other human beings then this is the place for you. I’m truly disgusted by what I thought would be an amazing experience. I didn’t feel safe in this place. I will certainly NEVER come back here.
