It’s my second time here , I would say Nico is a good server . He is kind ， with smile all the time. I didn’t feel that much service last time , this time Nico help us grilled the meat ，checked in frequently and introduced each dishes. Food also tasty，fresh is a awesome place for gathering.

Weekday afternoon visit: the line started forming around 4 PM, and we waited ~3 hours to get in. Tip: if you’re a party of two and okay with bar seating, tell the host in person so they know. Service was solid. For the price point, I’d recommend the medium tier or gold tier to get premium cuts—the basic tier isn’t worth a 3-hour wait. They also sell memberships. They’re a sister spot to Mikiya (San Mateo), but memberships don’t carry over—you’ll need to buy separately. Food was great. Ventilation isn’t ideal and it can get pretty smoky inside. There’s a 90-minute eating limit and a 70-minute ordering limit (not disclosed), plus ~5 minutes between rounds—pace your orders. Only complaint: the phone routes to an AI system. It’s hard to reach a real person, and I didn’t see staff picking up calls. Verdict: worth a try on a weekday afternoon/lunch; for a 3-hour wait, think it through.

Chubby Cattle (Pleasanton) is dangerous in the best way — we walked in thinking it’d be a fun all-you-can-eat night and left already talking about when we’re coming back. 11/10. First off: the food is genuinely unmatched for the price and quality. It doesn’t feel like one of those AYCE places where you’re paying for volume and sacrificing taste — it actually hits. Also, if you’ve done tablet-order AYCE before, you know the deal: you place an order and then you’re sitting there wondering, did that actually go to the kitchen or did I just manifest this in my own head? That’s usually where things get messy/overwhelming. Patrick was the difference-maker. He was super friendly, stayed on top of everything, checked in at the right moments, and made sure nothing got lost in the tablet chaos. It went from “trying to manage the system” to just enjoying the meal. Chubby Cattle is already a solid spot — but Patrick is the reason it felt effortless, and he’s the reason I’ll be coming back every single time. If you go, ask for Patrick.

Came to Chubby Cattle in Pleasanton tonight and WOW--what an incredible first experience. Shoutout to Patrick, because his service absolutely MADE the night. Friendly, welcoming, insanely attentive, and on top of everything without ever feeling overbearing. He answered all of our questions, was super quick, and somehow always appeared right when we needed something. Truly unmatched service. The food was great and the menu can feel a little overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of the ordering and all the options, you fully enter flow state and it becomes so fun. That said--aside from the food--I would genuinely come back just to be served by Patrick again. That's how good he was. He turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience.

I had an amazing birthday experience at Chubby Cattle this evening! We had to wait about 3 hours to get seated getting on the waitlist, but the wait was worth it! We ate the gold tier meats (the premium select meats are SO worth the extra $$$) and thoroughly enjoyed all of the assorted sides and extras. Exceptional Service from Patrick Patrick was absolutely wonderful. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond when we hit a small snag: * Quick Thinking: One of our grills unfortunately stopped working during our meal. Patrick immediately noticed and, understanding that we now had only one grill for our group, he was incredibly generous and extended our time for the meal so we wouldn't feel rushed. This was a lifesaver! * Wagyu : He even took the time to personally help us cook the delicate Wagyu cuts, ensuring they were prepared perfectly. His knowledge and willingness to step in and assist with the cooking truly elevated the whole experience. Food Highlights The quality of the meat was top-notch, especially the Wagyu. Everything was fresh and delicious—definitely living up to the restaurant's reputation. Overall: Chubby Cattle is a must-visit, not just for the great food, but for the outstanding customer service. Our server was Nam, sorry I forgot the name of our host but he was great Monday night 11/24/25. This was our first time at chubby cattle and I would 100% go back. Wait was a little long but we shopped at 99 ranch next door until our table was ready. Food was great and ambience was good. Thank you chubby cattle for the experience. Edit: returned a week later and there was very little wait this time since the kids are probably back in school. Food and service are still immaculate, Nam served us again and he was great.

Khoa was our server and did extremely good making us feel welcome. The Wagyu was diverse and there were many items on the menu, when we include the great music and vibe of the restaurant, I think this is one of the best food places I have been at. The only semblance of a problem was the long wait time of over 200 minutes. 10/10 Will go again.

Great place, meat quality is good. The limited sushi roll selection they offer is all top quality. The misu soup dispenser with toppings bar was cool. Definitely a special occasion place at $50-100 per person. The service was excellent, our server Leon was always close by to help us with any questions we had. We loved our time here! My boyfriend and I went to enjoy our anniversary dinner. Patrick was our server and he was very attentive and kind. He answered all and any questions we had regarding the tiers. The food was amazing as well. I definitely would recommend coming to check them out! The self serve area was also a great addition. I love the option for soft drinks but milk tea?! Had me sold as soon as I seen it! There’s miso soup available, lots of fruits, kimchi, edamame. Honestly, everything you would want. Worth it:) not a hype.

Rachel was our server and she was amazing. This was not our first experience with Korean Barbecue, but it was a really Great experience. Rachel helped us cook our food while we ate. I could see her tending to the other tables as well. She was really attentive and able to take care of all of her customers without neglecting anyone. If we lived closer we would get a membership, but we live too far away. The food was all delicious and I know a lot of people would be commenting on the meat, but since that’s a given, the yellowtail carpaccio, kimchi, and miso soup are among our favorites. If we are in the area again we will definitely be coming back.

Billy is a very attentive server and always ask us if we're ok. Food is great as always. Everyone was friendly and always clean up our empty plates without asking.

You better be here an hour early before they open up on the weekend. If not, you will definitely be waiting a few hours. I've been to several of there locations in Socal. Experience is way better in Socal. I'm just trying to figure out why they opened it in a small space. Hence the reason why you wait in line longer and you could only put so much plates on each table. If you have a party of four to six, you will have no place to put the used plates anywhere. You literally need to flag down a waiter to collect those trays. Ventilation is horrible so don't wear any fancy clothes because you will come out smelling like grilled meat. Food options are limited compared to Socal. They are serious with the time limit here so eat as much as you can. Other than that, they are opening ten more locations in the bay area.

Overall love all the food, premium cuts, self service station, sides. Everything was clean and worth what we paid for. Food was just ok. Some of the beef are sliced too thinly, get overcooked the second you place it on the grill. The carpaccio and yellowtail hand rolls are good. Loved the steamed egg (chawan mushi). Milk tea had good fragrance but would be better if they take the sweetness level down a notch. Our server Khoa was wonderful, he answered all of our questions and helped us grill some of the food. Came back a few times to make sure we got everything we wanted, including our friend’s birthday discount 😊

One word to summarize: Disappointment. Had high expectations for this place before I went. I liked the Mikiya brand both in LA and Bay Area. But this place was a huge let down from my experience. I would rather stick with Mikiya for A5 wagyu experience. I went by myself and select the diamond tier. 1. The good A5 meat was just a few pieces. Probably 2oz for each selection. I asked the server to help me grill these because it’s the best meat and the picture 2&3 were what happened. Totally burnt. I was being too nice so I ate the first kind of meat but it was impossible to eat the second. So I asked them to place another order and grilled myself. 2. The food delivery speed was subpar, I have constantly waited more than 10mins for my order at first. This is at 2-3pm so it’s definitely not peak time. 3. The unlimited “A5” was definitely a big step down. Sometimes it doesn’t look like A5 marble at all. In contrast, Mikiya A5 ribeye unlimited looked wayyyy better in quality 4. The unlimited A5 brisket can be so hard to grill because they were so thin. They can easily stick to the grill. In Mikiya, you can just put it in the pot and take it out easily. 5. Minor issue, their sauces or spices were all sweet. Even the salt had sugar in it. This would make your appetite go away pretty fast.
