Animali ammessi senza problemi. Se sarò da queste parti tornerò volentieri!
Luogo incantato, magico e relax assoluto. Colazione eccellente!Tutti prodotti fatti in casa!
What can I say first and what can I describe? We are on the ninth day of trekking, of the Alta Via 2 Aosta and after an exhausting ascent and descent in the heat we end up in this place, isolated high at 1100 meters with an impressive view of the mountains opposite and the valley below. Revelation! Through a picturesque cobblestone path that leads you to the path that takes you to the upper part of the village, essentially a settlement with abandoned stone houses comes the second Revelation! What beauty, what a sense of isolation, quiet. And the beauties and surprises continue, the owners in an old stone house but renovated, have created an oasis of rest and relaxation. The simple but perfectly functional space has to offer you exactly what you need after an exhausting day in the mountains. Cleanliness, plenty of hot water, peace and quiet. Going down the path you reach the restaurant run by the owners and the surprises continue.... excellent food, impeccable service, kind and friendly hosts do everything to make the whole experience unforgettable. And the most touching of all was when I realized the next day, after we had completed the crossing, that I had forgotten my myopia glasses in the room on the mountain. When the hotel receptionist contacted the owners of the b&b, they assured me that I would have them the next day before I left for Greece. And indeed at eight in the morning my glasses were at the hotel reception. Indicative of their kindness and their kindness. A thousand thanks are not enough for their kindness, hospitality, and service. I highly recommend you try the experience called La Louye Su La Goumba. Mille Grazzie.
Fantastic...enchanting to try, we'll be back. Excellent food with local products, all impeccably managed.
I was there last night with friends, excellent dinner! The owner is very kind, knowledgeable, and friendly, his wife in the kitchen is the best, and his daughter is the best! We'll be back, hopefully before they close! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Arriving after 2 pm, they still offered me the option of a second course. I ate a delicious and plentiful polenta concia.
The food was superb. Everything was excellent. The price was more than fair. The staff were incredibly kind and courteous. A truly wonderful place to rest after a hike in the mountains. Well done! Absolutely brilliant!
Family-run restaurant, offering traditional dishes, limited selection (a sign of quality, in my opinion), and welcoming hosts. Accessible by car but isolated.
In a place filled with history you can find La Louye su la Goumba. Next to impressive ruins of 19th century houses, the lovely owners have renovated this house to have a small restaurant/bar and 2 very charming, comfortable and spacious rooms. On top of the amazing views, the ideal location for hikes and the good food and drinks (both at breakfast and dinner), you just feel very welcomed by the gentle people. We only stayed 3 nights, but will remember this stay for a long time.
A wonderful welcome. As French speakers, Bruno, the owner, translated the menu for us. The food was excellent, and the setting and atmosphere were beautiful. The value for money was impeccable. It's possible to walk from Pontboset, but the route is very long... For cars, the road is winding but easy to navigate, with parking available at the restaurant. We'll definitely be back (by car 😉).
An exceptional location, in the heart of the Alps. The room was spacious and well-appointed, the food very good, and the owners very friendly. We stopped here for a short break on our way to vacation, but we'll be back for a longer stay.
A delicious lunch with a wealth of variety and unique dishes. After delicious appetizers, such as the tartare and the platter, we were served a very special blueberry risotto. The main courses, including braised beef and potatoes and veal stew with polenta concia, were excellent. It all ended with homemade desserts. I also recommend this place for its breathtaking view of the landscape. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can also take hiking trails and stay overnight.
A true little slice of paradise nestled in the mountains! 🌄 The view is breathtaking, and Lucia and Bruno's welcome is simply exceptional. Always smiling, warm, and attentive, they make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The cuisine is local, generous, and absolutely delicious—each dish is prepared with passion and showcases the flavors of the region. A huge thank you to them for this unforgettable experience! An address not to be missed. We will definitely be back!! Hugs from France. Laetitia and Gregory
The road isn't very easy, steep and narrow in places, but once you reach the parking lot, you're captivated by the beauty of the small village where the restaurant is located. The interior is immediately welcoming and quaint. The owners are very friendly. As for the menu, we had mixed antipasti with excellent cured meats, a fabulous vitello tonnato. Smoked pumpkin risotto and a delicious pecorino fondue. The roast beef with a side of potatoes and polenta concia was amazing. Highly recommended!
Getting to the restaurant is a remarkable feat, with a narrow road, several hairpin bends, and some very steep sections. However, La Louye Su La Goumba is a gem. It's not an ordinary place, and when you arrive, you're truly immersed in nature, far from the daily grind, with a unique view. The restaurant is beautiful, expertly renovated, with lots of exposed wood, preserving as much of the original, traditional mountain atmosphere as possible. The salami, bresaola, and lard are all delicious. The herb flan is exceptional and personally my favorite. The apple, celery, and walnut salad is remarkable. The meat-filled agnolotti, chosen by my grandson, are excellent, and the blueberry risotto is truly special. The roast beef is very tasty, and the carbonata is delicious. The polenta concia that accompanied the main courses is truly unique. The staff is truly wonderful: we arrived without a reservation and in the blink of an eye, they seated us and served us immediately. The wine list is extensive, with wines from a well-known winery in La Morra. A really good experience to be repeated and recommended.
This small B&B exceeded all our expectations! The room was impeccably clean, recently renovated, and simply BEAUTIFUL! After a 7-day hike through the Aosta Valley, the bed here was by far the comfiest we experienced. The ambiance was delightful, and despite the language barrier, the hosts Lucia and her husband went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for. Their responsiveness both through email and in person was outstanding. The dinner they served was absolutely delicious, featuring uncomplicated yet incredibly well-made dishes using the freshest local ingredients. The quality-to-price ratio is unbeatable, even for the area. We cannot recommend this place enough - it's simply fantastic! A gem of a find that made our stay truly memorable!
This was hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Bruno and Lucia are a wonderful team and my wife and I were so happy to have met them. This is a small restaurant with 4-5 tables so best to call ahead. The view from the balcony is incredible. It overlooks the valley and sunset turns the sky pink. We had one of everything on the menu and left so full we could barely walk—in the best way. Antipasto dishes of charcuterie, fresh ricotta and a zucchini-lemon purée, baked chestnuts with churned butter. Fresh pasta with thyme butter, and a rolled crepe with ham and bechemel. For the main course, rabbit from their farm with green beans. Desert of a fresh Panna cotta with strawberry preserves. Absolutely stunning with every plate. If you are anywhere near this area, seek it out. If you like fresh, rustic food, this will blow your mind. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Grazie mille Bruno and Lucia!! See you again soon I hope.
I had dinner there, a relaxed, family-style service with cuisine made from local produce that I enjoyed, including an antipasti platter and gnocchi with hazelnut sauce.
We were there yesterday, August 11th. The location is lovely, the food good, and the wine still, but these are personal tastes. Two observations: 1. We expected local cured meats for the mixed appetizers; given the high temperature there too, I think polenta isn't suitable. However, everything was good and well-cooked. The risotto and crepes were delicious. The desserts were bland.
