First of all, the Piattino online menu does not do the restaurant justice. When I ate at Piattino on February 8,2026, I found many more items available on the menu that are listed on their website. My dining companion and I could not decide among the many delicious things listed on the menu so we each ordered an entrée to eat for dine in, and took an entrée home for later. We started with an Organic Roasted Beet Salad and “Funghi Repieni” Stuffed Mushrooms. Both were full of flavor and beautifully presented. I had Squash Risotto for my main course. (It was so delicious I purchased one to take home to my daughter who was not with us.) A must for risotto lovers! My dining companion had the Goat cheese Pizza. She enjoyed it and I had a piece. Another hit! I brought home Eggplant Parmigiana which I devoured the next day. I love Eggplant Parmigiana and always order it when I find it on a menu. Piattino’s version is one of the best I have ever had. The eggplant was layered with cheese served with a light “San Marzano” tomato sauce. The eggplant was served with handmade pasta tossed in pistachio pesto. The pasta was unique and wonderful also. My dining companion had an Espresso Martini shown in the photos below. Beautiful! All of the food at Piattino is very fresh. The service was impeccable (unfortunately, I did not get the name of the server). A truly unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend Piattino for an Italian meal!!

Wow! Our first visit and we were blown away. The service was fantastic! Pickles, our server, was beyond on top of his game and was able to provide suggestions and answer questions about the menu as if he knew us. The portions were perfect and appetizers, we split calamari and garlic bread, didn't spoil our supper. The house made pasta was nurturing and delicious. We all ordered different pasta entrees and each one was unique and distinct. You can't go wrong and we will be back. The limited seating means you should make a reservation for sure. We saw a few people turned away. We weren't rushed out but needed to give up our space for the next guests so don't plan on lounging around after your meal. You'll need to share this fantastic space!

Been walking past this place for a while and decided to have my solo bday dinner here! It was exactly what I hoped it would be. Friendly staff, phenomenal food, great drinks. Never heard of pane bianco and was not disappointed! The pollo margherita was sooo good. Will be back!

I went here with my girlfriend and the food was sooooo good. Our server Zach was very friendly and helpful and the kitchen made the food in a timely manner. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for good Italian food in Portland. Also their tiramisu was amazing. 5 stars for sure

Delicious fresh and bright dishes with huge portion sizes. The ambience is cozy and cool, but the bathrooms don’t fit the vibe. Grace was a fantastic server, very quick, kind and personable. We will definitely be returning!

The food was absolutely amazing... hands down some of the best Italian food ive had in a while. The hand made fettuccine was perfect. The drinks were delicious. Everything came out in a very reasonable time, and Zach was a wonderful server. 10 out 10

Zack was an amazing host! The mushroom ravioli — along with all the other dishes was absolutely outstanding. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. It truly made for an unforgettable dining experience.

I traveled to Portland (all the way from Florida) for the first time on a solo trip and chose to eat at Piattino on both of the nights that I ventured out for a dinner. The server I had was so sweet and kind (I wish I could remember their name, they’re from Idaho) and the food was amazing. The first night, I had some wine, bolognese, and tiramisu. On the second night, I opted for a sidecar cocktail (or two) and the carbonara. I even got a fun little snack of pearled onions and cornichons! The restaurant is in a walkable part of town, and if I was traveling with friends I might have even popped in for a few more drinks at the bar next door. Piattino and its staff have my heart (and tastebuds) forever!

This was one of my favorite restaurants while visiting Portland! The food was amazing, as was the wine! Zach was so helpful with recommendations and you can tell he really enjoys his job and it made it fun to be there!

Had a really lovely experience at Piattino. It’s a cozy little spot and the food was delicious. We tried the house special pizza and pesto pasta; both were flavorful. The fresh breads served with the pasta were a highlight too. We had reserved a table in advance for an anniversary dinner. While our server was courteous, it would have been nice if the staff had acknowledged the occasion. There was also a small mix-up when we were served a chicken pasta by mistake. To their credit, the server quickly corrected it and brought out a fresh dish, but as a new vegetarian it wasn’t the most pleasant moment. Overall, we enjoyed our evening and would happily come back, though a few thoughtful touches could make the experience even better.

I am literally in love with this place. This is my second time back and it was still so good! The Mushroom Ravioli which i added sausage to, is chefs kiss, the spinach artichoke, i literally wanted to take it all home with me, sooo good! The atmosphere was lovely and the service, same as before was perfect. Everyone is so sweet and made sure we were happy. I definitely recommend coming here. I can't wait to go back and try the wood fired pizza even though the pasta has my heart.

Absolutely phenomenal experience here tonight. All of the staff was friendly, but Zach, our server, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and answered all of our questions. The table was a bit small, especially with all the sides we ordered, but getting the sides was worth the plate tetris! The crispy brussel sprouts, the salads, the cocktails, and my ravioli were excellent! Will be back again. Thank you!

I’m from Dallas, Texas, we made our way up to Oregon for a hiking trip and stumbled on this cozy spot for pizza. We couldn’t resist ordering both the pizza and the Margherita chicken with pesto pasta and wow, both were amazing! The pizza was incredibly delicious, the atmosphere was so cute, and they even have a real pizza oven where you can watch your food being made right from your table. The décor was simple yet chic, not over the top but definitely beautiful. The plate I ordered which was the chicken and pasta is definitely a shareable plate. Total cost between my friend and I was $47.

Beautiful, delicious, authentic…totally delightful for a weeknight with friends or date night. I absolutely loved the gluten free fettuccini with pistachio pesto, shrimp, fresh snap peas and parm.

Have now been several times. Excellent across-the-board. Highly recommend the pear and prosciutto pizza! Service is also consistently great, had Zach as a server more than once who has made some great recommendations. Grab a reservation for your next date night!

My fiancé & I love this restaurant & have been here a handful of times. The food is delicious & the ambience is amazing. Would highly recommend for a date night or any special occasion. My favorite is the fettuccine with chicken (the pesto is awesome!) also the lavender martinis are so delicious.

10/10 would come here again! My husband and I visited PDX on our honeymoon and stumbled along this restaurant. Our server, Pickles, was INCREDIBLE! They offered us tailored recommendations for wine and food, conversed with us and made us feel so comfortable!! The cocktails and food were delicious (we highly recommend the polenta, lamb paperdelle, the manzo manicotti, and the creme brûlée). The vibes here were so beautiful and it felt so cozy and inviting.

Every bite was perfection. We got the tomato bisque, spinach dip, Caesar salad, gnocchi, and cheese ravioli. Christopher was our server and he was very attentive. Everything was paced out at the perfect time. We will definitely come back to try the entire menu.

Incredible all around. Our server, Grace, was an important part of our exceptional experience and we so enjoyed our dinner. Every dish had a distinct and remarkable flavor, the menu was diverse and locally sources, the aroma in the beautiful space was tantalizing, and the staff were lovely.

Came here earlier in the day and had to come back for evening drinks. Zach is awesome, very friendly and made some of the best espresso martinis my girlfriend and I have ever had. 10/10 will be back. For anyone looking for a good drink and friendly conversation this is an excellent spot.

Hyacinth and Valerie made my birthday so special. They were so sweet to our elderly mom with Parkinson’s and were patient and kind with/to us. The food was delicious, especially the lamb and tiramisu! The atmosphere was lovely. What a wonderful night! We will be back for sure!

Our server, Grace, made this the most spectacular dinner. The food was incredible and the space was beautiful, but her kindness and generosity was incredible. I will come back here every time I’m in town. I truly cannot say enough about the quality of the service Grace provided!

Best wood-fired pizza in town - fresh ingredients and expertly baked. Valerie is amazing, come see her for a wonderful evening. 10/10 would recommend :)

We will be back! The food, drinks, and service were A+. The best comfort Italian food I’ve had in a minute. We started with the asparagus/Kale and Caesar salads. Both great- but the asparagus kale salad was the Star. The kale was tender but still crisp. It was incredible fresh and the balsamic was the lever balance of sweet and acidic. Get the arancini- it is cheesy and creamy and crunchy and the spicy aioli is the best kind of heat. This time we did pasta but next time we will get a pizza- they look amazing. Also, they do have some kid items that are not listed on the menu. Make sure to ask your server. Thank you, Zack! Don’t forget to make reservations.

That rare find of Italian cuisine with low carb options! Absolutely delicious food, fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection with wood fire roasting/toasting to add that gently smoked flavor. It's marginally more expensive than elsewhere, but worth those dollars.

I recently visited for the first time and it has quickly become my new favorite restaurant. The food quality is fantastic and incredibly fresh, from the prosciutto de parma and caña de oveja cheese board to the lamb pappardelle and cannolis, everything was delicious. What I appreciated most was the restraint shown in the kitchen. While many Italian restaurants over-rely on oil and butter, the dishes here let the high-quality ingredients shine. The sauces were perfectly executed as compliments that highlighted the flavors rather than masking them. The experience was made even better by the genuinely friendly service from both the host and our server. Combined with the warm, modern woodsy decor, the atmosphere is wonderful. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!

We had a pepperoni pizza and a tagliatelle bolognese both of which put others to shame. This was one of those meals where you're constantly convention on how good everything was and encouraging one another to try each dish. Our server Valerie was happy engaging and attentive. Excellent experience!

Went here for the first time to meet a friend for a weekday lunch. Inside is comfortable, although would probably be pretty condensed if the place was busy (there was about 10 people there when we were). Waiter was extremely helpful with the menu and able to answer any questions we had. The menu selection was broader than I expected it to be, especially since everything is made on-site. As I can rarely find manicotti in the wild any longer, I opted for the beef manicotti, and was not disappointed. It was flavorful, filling, and was enough to fill me without being a huge portion (that’s a good thing). They probably do this to tempt though to order dessert….a scheme that worked out perfectly. Their tiramisu was extremely good, while my friend was impressed with the cannoli. My friend also said their lavender lemonade was extremely good. I look forward to dining here again in the future, and I’m glad I went.

We tried this Italian restaurant for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious - fresh, flavorful, and you can tell everything is made with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing night out. Our server, Pickles, was the real star of the evening. Friendly, attentive, and so helpful— he gave great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Italian dishes, amazing Neapolitan Pizza and top-notch service. We will definitely be back! 🍝✨

We had an amazing experience! They were able to accommodate us, party of 5, and they were so patient while we waited for the rest of our party. Zack (hope I spelled that correctly) was an amazing server! He was so attentive and made sure we were comfortable. The food was amazing again, this was our second time here and the drinks were great too! We’ll definitely be back!

Valerie was amazing and provided us with such great knowledge of the menu and wonderful recommendations and a super friendly personality! Thank you Valerie! Thank you Chefs!

Christopher took great care of us. He was friendly, checked in consistently, and had a really good feel for timing without ever interrupting the meal. The space itself is warm and inviting, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. The food was good and satisfying. Would come back again.

We ended up at Piattino after looking for a last-minute bite. They were fully booked but thankfully had room at the bar. We felt immediately welcome talking to our server, Christopher, and the food was absolutely delicious. The spicy-tini and spicy mule were SO yummy (especially if you really love genuine spice in your drink). The tomato bisque was delicious and their bread for dipping made it so we didn’t leave a drop. Can’t wait to come back to this sweet spot!

Everything was fantastic! They were able to change our reservation from 2 to 3 people! Grace was so fantastic, helpful and so nice! All the food was so incredibly flavorful and everyone (especially our server Grace) was so nice! They even had a vegan and vegetarian options! Everyone was so accommodating and personable, I would recommend this to everyone in Portland!

Piattino excelled in some areas and was just okay in others. Thing I enjoyed: • Drinks and wine was good. • The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is great. I love that they are one of the few restaurants that still has outside curb seating. • The polenta appetizer we got was delicious. I loved the crispy bits with the pesto sauce. • The creme brulee was a good finish to the meal. • The bread that came with our entrees was nice. The thing that brought Piattino down for me were our entries. I really wanted to see the pasta dishes blow us away, but I found them to be just OK. Compared to other Italian restaurants in Portland, I think there are others that provide much better pasta courses than what we got at Piattino. The pasta dishes reminded me of something from Olive Garden instead the local Portland restaurant quality I've come to expect. If I come back to Piattino, I'll be sure to update my review if there is a pasta dish that makes me excited to come back for a meal again. In conclusion, the service was great, the vibe was relaxed, and the overall meal was a good time. Piattino is definitely worth a visit, but I feel there are better Italian options in NW.

Pretty damn good pasta! Fresh pasta cooked well! Perfect aldente…. The panini was alright, but the toppings were a little odd of a mix (pesto and mustard). The salad was light, fresh and flavorful. It’s the atmosphere, ambience, and setting that is a little rough around the edges (food and oil stored under seats), odd entry and exit I’m not sure how well the place is cleaned (I will mention they are very hard working short staff)…

This review is primarily based on our experience with our server, Pickles. The pizza was fantastic, crust thing and crispy. The ambiance was on point. There was another server who definitely wasn’t as friendly whose interaction stuck with us, but Pickles was fun and very sweet. Looking forward to going back!

2-26 This is normally one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, I chose a dish that didn’t live up to the usual standards. The risotto and the vegetables in it were all somewhat undercooked. They did not meld together as a good risotto should. The beet and arugula salad was very good. I’m sure I’ll be back and will choose something else next time.

Flavors are okay. Reminiscent of a microwave dinner. Not bad, put very unexpected. Feel like my food might have been swapped lol all jokes aside...for $75 delivered I expected a little more from such a fancy place. Manacotti and Chicken Alfredo.

We had a group of 6 and came for lunch on a Saturday. I had made a reservation so we were sat immediately. All of the food we got was great but our waiter, I think his mane was Zach, was really weird. He seemed really scatterbrained and forgetful, he took my friend's drink order but didn't let them order food before skipping to someone else for their food order and had go back in circles to get everyones order. My mom had given him her card to pay for lunch but he forgot and came to the table and handed out the bill, she had to remind him her card was in his pocket. Instead of just saying sorry and getting us paid out, he made a big show of practically begging her for forgiveness and it made the whole thing really weird. We also ordered a pizza to go which he forgot to add, so after we paid he kind of tried to sen us out an my sister had to remind him we ordered a pizza. They had to turn the ovens back on so they could make it for us. Then again after we got the pizza he was really weird and dramatically apologizing again. Like dude, we get it, let it go. Throughout our meal the restaurant got much busier and he seemed to be the only server for the whole restaurant, not sure if they were understaffed. The food was good but I'm not sure I'd want to go back because of the weird service.

The atmosphere and service were great, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. The pizza was extremely greasy and soggy—so much so that it was difficult to eat. I ended up taking it to go since it cost $22 and I didn’t want to waste it, but when I placed it in the box, it was sitting in a pool of oil. I ordered the spicy salami pizza, and the salami’s flavor completely overpowered the dish. We also tried the eggplant pasta, which was just okay. The sauce was fine, but the pasta itself was chewy and not very enjoyable. I really wanted to like this place. It had been on my list for a long time, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations.

My partner booked a reservation for 5pm on Valentine's Day yesterday 02/14/2026 about a month beforehand. It was the only time slot left. The kicker? It cost $30.00 to book and that booking fee doesn't count towards the till. Absolutely ridiculous to start, especially as we showed up at 5pm to an absolutely dead restaurant and even the waiter said it's been "on and off" with how busy it has been throughout the day. If you make it cost $30.00 to book at your restaurant, it is absolutely criminal that it doesn't count towards your till... especially as the rest of the review comes to fruition. To start, our waitress was absolutely wonderful. I didn't catch her name, but she should be the standard that Piattino strives to enforce because every other employee was absolutely embarrassing. From a terrible dress code/uniform - if one even exists at all - to their friendliness, it was an awful experience. One employee was wearing a literal chain link dog collar around his neck with a hat emblazoned with a man dog in a suit, and another employee had his button down shirt unbuttoned to the bottom of his sternum with his bushy chest hair puffing out as he's delivering peoples food to their tables. Is this a higher end, classy "elevated" Italian restaurant, or a nightclub? I had a hard time distinguishing the difference, to be frank. I couldn't tell if I was in "Piattino" or CC Slaughters, other than the insane bill we were handed. Thankfully we didn't have Mr. Chest Hair as our server, otherwise we very well may have had unwanted hairs in our food. We started off with an Espresso Martini and a diet coke, which was okay...despite the Espresso Martini being $4.00 more expensive and worse than the same drink at a much better elevated Italian restaurant we recently experienced in Seattle, WA. There were fruit flies buzzing around our table the entire time, several times they landed on our food. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for a restaurant that purports to be "elevated". Next comes the garlic bread... which was fine. Then we ordered entrees; a pesto based pasta with chicken and cheese ravioli with chicken on the side. The pesto based pasta was fine, and the portion size was acceptable. The chicken on both entrees was seasoned well, but was hard in some spots and rubbery on others. Clearly not prepped or cooked correctly. Your local fast food joint often prepares better cooked chicken. Next, the cheese ravioli. Cooked al dente which is to be expected even if it's not my preference. With that being said... the entree cost $26.00. For FOUR medium sized cheese stuffed raviolis. I'm sorry, but a pack of cheese stuffed ravioli and expensive alfredo sauce might cost you $16.00 at your local Safeway, and you get 10x the serving for the same exact tasting experience. That was absolutely criminal; practically extortion. We ordered dessert; stuffed cannoli and creme brulee. The stuffed cannoli was mediocre and incredibly hard. The creme brulee advertised seasonal flavors of which they had... none. Additionally, the crust of the creme brulee wasn't hardened at all, and the inner portion was... clunky and not smooth. Both were served within a minute or two of ordering, which leads us to believe they aren't even freshly prepared. In the end, we paid a $30.00 reservation fee, $120.00 approximately on the till, and a $25.00 tip for a grand total of $175.00 plus parking for a mediocre, 2/10 experience at an "elevated Italian" restaurant. The entire time, tables around us were also complaining about similar issues. It's crazy to me they have a 4.7 overall rating on Google with over 1100 reviews. Leads you to wonder if there's some review deleting going on behind the scenes. TLDR; spend your money elsewhere. The portion sizes may very well be tiny, the desserts are mediocre, the menu is overpriced, the reservation fee is insane, the staff are unprofessional and look like garbage. If you want a similar experience to Piattino at 1/3rd the cost, go to your local Olive Garden instead.
