My kids love the Blizzards, but I like to swing by for Happy Hour. It's from 2 pm to 5pm and everything that you can drink (floats, shakes, and freezes) is half off. I also recommend going for the $5 lunch. It's a meal and a dessert for only $5. You can't beat it. The food quality is not bad. I honestly expected it to be bleh, but it's pretty good. It is fast food though.
Went through the drive thru and was a great experience. This Dairy Queen had great service! Would definitely go back when passing through Redding
Haven't hit DQ in years. Cheese burger was good and large. Used to larger portion of fries, but they were good. Folks in front of me got chocolate-dipped cones. Heading back for those.
I took my family in for something to eat. The staff was very friendly, and quick to serve us. The prices were very fair compared to other fastfood places. The building was very clean inside, despite the outside seeming a little dated. Great family atmosphere and my family and i highly reccomend stoppong in and grabbing a bite. You will get a tasty meal!!
Even with all the negative reviews, my girlfriend and I decided to stop in on our way back to Sacramento from Portland. With expectations low we ordered some food, a hot fudge sundae, and a banana split for the road. We quickly checked our order prior to driving away from the window and to our surprise, everything was correct!! Absolutely no problems with service or quality of food. EEVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!
The store has been remodeled. It is very clean. The service is very fast and the staff is friendly. The fries are really good and so are the blizzards. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
It's fast food, what more can you say about it? I will go out on a limb here and say that in my opinion DQ has the best fries, hands down. On the other end of the spectrum, while tasty, the blizzard is the biggest waste of money out there; the medium is more expensive than a half gallon of name brand ice cream!! But I happen to like their (what used to be a $5, now) $7 meal deal and that's what I come in most often for.
All I can say is this place needs a lot more credit, these reviews are always talking about prices like inflation isn’t just high it’s self, for the food ice cream and the service you get they literally bring your food to you greet you it’s always worth it better then a fancy restaurant to me! Rebecca the manager is doing a fantastic job and she’s finally hired some really good employees my grandkids always make me come in because how nice the staff are Especially these two young sweet sweet girls Harley and Brianna thanks dairy queen for your wonderful staff who make my grandkids happy!
incredibly kind staff. today was busy so the wait was a couple minutes longer than normal. thankfully the staff, as always, was incredibly kind and apologetic. great experience today ❤️
Lee is awesome and deserves a raise, all Americans love these darn Blizzards making us fat! 😉👊🏻
The Staff was super nice, they did a great job getting everything out on time despite the fact that they were understaffed! 😊I’m from Oroville and we don’t have a Dairy Queen out here so when traveling up north we love to stop here!
Very busy (... popular) and nice DQ. Place was packed 2:00pm on a Sunday, with a line outside in the drive-thru, and people waiting on orders for takeout, pick-up etc. I was there just for a 1-qt takeout. The atmosphere was like - "this is the place!" for young families, couples and folks of all ages. The staff were friendly and steady-paced, and the manager on-duty was super friendly and cheerful while keeping all her staff moving and on top of current and next orders to be filled. I should probably give 5 stars for the service, because they were chugging away and getting it done while swamped, but several customers had that "wish they could move a hair faster" look. At least they got all the orders filled correctly and at a rate preempting any impatient irritation. 5-stars all around.....
Got the Cheeseburger double deluxe. Even though I don't care for bacon I have a Dachshund (Beau) who really appreciated it and helping share my lunch. Also had been really wanting a Butterscotch Sundae but sadly they were unable to make a Butterscotch one so it was chocolate for me and we got a banana split for my wife who is recovering from quadruple bypass surgery and all of her numbers are doing extremely well and the pain is getting better every day so we treated her and it will last her for three desserts. All in all it was a pleasant change for us.
I saw a commercial a day or two ago for 2 double stack burgers for 7 bucks and well in a pinch and a quick hot bite. I bit. I haven't had DQ since I moved here a couple of years ago from Oregon and dang it, it was due.
Current staff was slow. 4 cars ahead of me and it was 25 mins in line just to get to the order menu. Then another 25 mins to get to the window. Staff was very friendly. Ice cream was great. So maybe they were training new staff. Would definitely go again though.
Everyone is very nice every time I've been to this Dairy Queen. My only issue is that the line is always so long and the weight is very long. It is only drive through right now. So my advice is to go early because from 2:00 p.m. on it is packed!
Had a burger and fries with a sunday meal. Was a good meal. Self service Coke product fountain drinks. Restrooms available but requires a key. The dining area is a bit cold but outside was 36 degrees. Plenty of parking from the shared plaza space that can accommodate RVs. Dining is generally clean and odor free.
I haven't been to dairy Queen in probably over 4 years because my husband and I had gone twice and the food was no good. The service was terrible. I was really wanting some ice cream so we went and I got their little $7 chicken strip, french fries drink and a sundae meal deal. Everything was good. Service was pretty quick I wouldn't say it was friendly but it wasn't rude either. No real complaints. It's fast food.
Dairy Queen consistently has delicious food! I'm honestly surprised how much I love their burgers with it being fast food. The ice cream, in my opinion, is overpriced, and the parking situation is awful... but besides that, food quality and the service make it a place I'll return to.
I like dairy Queen. This location is freezing though. It's 55° outside and I walked inside and it was colder. (The AC was pumping strong, while the workers sit underneath the heater by the registers) My food was cold by the time it got to the table. So if you're out for just ice cream that's great but if you want to take advantage of any of their other menu items, It will not be warm food because the place is too cold. Also it makes it too cold to enjoy ice cream that is already cold You walk out shivering. That's not good when it's already 55° outside. Again the employees have a heater over their registers but they don't have the smarts to turn off their lobby air conditioning when it's freezing. If my food had not frozen by the time it got to the table I would have given five stars. 😥☃️ I understand that they keep the AC on at dairy Queen's year-round because of their machines and the ice cream. That being said why put a huge heater right over the machines and freeze out your customers in the lobby that are far from the machines?
Actually have had very nice experiences here, the food is mid but it is affordable and sometimes really nice Staff was very nice when we raided the building after college graduation todat (may 16 2025) other times though there are shady scary people here likr yelling at staff and such late at night so be aware its a sketchy area to come here so late Zhōngguó zǎoshang hǎo. Xiànzài wǒ yǒu bīngqílín. Wǒ fēicháng xǐhuān bīngqílín. 😎
This is a delicious place for ice cream and other comfort food! Their Blizzards are amazing, although I do recommend getting a mini. The small was even too much for me, even though it tasted amazing. Their cheese curds and burgers also taste good, but in the end, they're your basic fast food burgers. For customer service, this location had friendly staff who gave us our order accuratly.
Four stars is for the price of each item being about $2 too high. The food and blizzard were excellent. Was a bit more expensive than I planned. A mini butterfinger blizzard is $5.57 (which includes tax). It was delicious but about $2 too expensive. A chicken strip basket was $10.18 (which includes tax) and the four chicken strips were a bit small. They were excellently fried and tasted delicious. But a bit small and $10 is a lot for the size. The fries at Dairy Queen have always been great. The basket came with a nice portion and tasted great. Almost $16 for a chicken strip basket and mini blizzard is too expensive. I think you can have quality and great taste with a more affordable price.
Dairy Queen is a treat as always! This facility was clean and friendly. Chicken tenders and onion rings were delicious. I really appreciate the large bbq sauce packs that they have, they are about 2 times bigger than McD. I also got a m&m and Oreo blizzard, it’s my go to. Thanks for the food and Ice cream Mr. Buffett.
The only DQ in town so it's usually busy. Its worth the 25-35 minute wait if your really craving it. Always busy and speed of service is well... Kind of slow. Love the Blizzards and ice cream. The food.... Chicken strips are fair.
Reading during the summer is always extremely hot so going to Dairy Queen here during the summer is something you're going to want to do. They have the blizzards and of course they have deals all the time on different kinds of blizzards which is a good thing I recommend getting one. And they also serve different items like little burgers and what not . But let's face it you go to Dairy Queen for the ice cream and the ice cream is always good. The restaurant is just a typical fast-food restaurant nothing special. Not super clean not super dirty pretty much average.
It would be nice if the employees were a bit more enthusiastic about serving the customers. Most of the time when we go in, they don't even say "Hi". We get asked in kind of a rude or flat tone "May I take your order now". It's not like we take a long time deciding. We usually know what we want when we walk through the door.
I have always loved Dairy Queens Ice Cream Great Stuff. But when you get in the line to go through the drive-thru and you get up to the speaker and the people ask you did you cut in line because we were closing whenever the car parked behind me so nobody can get in. It was very rude and very unprofessional and then when they handed us our ice cream they didn't tell us which one was which she didn't know
I ordered a small chocolate shake, and a small Root beer float. It took several minutes to get the drinks, and after driving off I realized that little sip I just took of Root beer was it all, only a cup of ice cream left. Not that in itself is bad, but I ordered a float. Usually that has, ice cream floating in the Root beer. But I didn't even get enough Root beer to flavor the ice cream. And the shake was Thin...!?
Took a very long time to get a simple order... I could have eaten at a nice restaurant instead for the same price and amount of time taken
Long drive thru time, 2 lg blizzards almost 20 dollars! Dirty building & grossly understaffed. Lots of homeless people milling around. Staff did the best with what they had.
The ice cream is good, but the service is very inefficient. Took me a full half hour in the drive-thru to get a simple ice cream cone! If is one of those that once you are in line, you are stuck. I figured there must be tons of customers inside, and when I finally got up to see inside, there was no one ordering! No apology at the window, so I figure this is business as usual. I am positive they lose customers who are savvy to how slow they are. Too bad. Lots of training needed.
Only 3 cars in DT and yet I waited10 minutes for a blizzard. No apology or I'm sorry. The blizzard was excellent. I wait every year for the pumpkin to come back. It was not turned upside down because the server said the spoon might fall out. So mitch for the promise of a free one if not send upside down.
The serving sizes are very small. We ordered a medium milkshake and a medium Sunday. It came to 13.06 and both were very small. The medium shake was about 12 oz and the Sunday had a bigger top lid than the bottom cup that was maybe 10oz of ice cream and fruit. I was curious to see what the smalls looked like. Definitely will not go there for any of my ice cream cravings anymore.
The cheeseburger and fries were sub+par, but the blizzard was fine. That's actually the only thing we go there for. I'll never get anything but blizzards there again. Also , the small was ridiculously small!
The blizzard was good. Do yourself a favor and use the drive thru, it has priority over being inside. I had to wait a long time because they forgot about my order. Everyone was nice, but super busy.
The person that took our order was extremely friendly and helpful... She left the building right after taking our order, and everything went downhill from there. I ordered a hot fudge sundae. It did not come with our food order.Nor did our cookie dough blizzard. When I took my receipt back to get it, the girl started the wrong blizzard and threw a whole cup of ice cream in the garbage. She made my hot fudge sundae with cold chocolate syrup. She threw it in the garbage when I brought it back to get HOT FUDGE, which is clearly what my receipt said I paid for. The hit fudge was sparse, and they did not put the whipped cream on. The chicken tenders were awesome. The fries were cold. As expensive as fast food is, and as much as these people make per hour, I am frustrated by the lack of pride in their work.
We came here for blizzards. They were more like milkshakes. Definitely could not have passed the “turn it upside down” test. We tried this place 2 years ago and it has not improved.
I ordered a strawberry hot fudge Blizzard it hardly had any taste and the hot fudge was on top. It wasn't mixed through like I wanted it. It was a very bland cost $20 practically for two people for medium. Not very impressed
I eat here often. As with any location you have good employees and bad employees. It's just unfortunate that when the bad employees are there you can tell. I just had to wait 12 min for onion rings I watched the lad drop 3 basket of rings, he threw the first two in the fry bin then just let them sit until he just walked over and would throw them away. The manager is awesome when she's there the food is impeccable, when she's not though it's me. This wasn't a positive experience
Went thru drive up window. Food was not what I ordered. Drinks were flat. Rootbeer was terrible. Had no rootbeer flavor and no carbonation. I was headed home (2 hours away) when I realized it was all wrong. The only thing that was great tasting was the small banana split blizzard.
The long wait in the drive-thru was quite understandable, however, the food was barely mediocre. After years of not having gone to a DQ, I was VERY disappointed in the ice cream. It had an off flavor and chunks of powder still in it so it was obvious that they use a mix and don't make their soft-serve the way they used to. Also, it was pretty pricey for what I felt was not worth it.
Went through the drive thru, ordered 2 small Reese’s blizzards each with extra Reese’s, 1 dairy free dilly bar and a large onion ring. Paid just under $22.00! We checked the prices on the Redding locations website and our total came to around $13.00 not including tax. When I asked about the near $10.00 price discrepancy I was told prices had increased. Neither the drive thru menu nor the online pricing reflected those price increases. The small blizzards are basically the size of Dixie cups and I’m fairly certain they neglected to put the extra candy inside of them. The “large” size onion rings had a total of 9-so closer to a medium in my opinion certainly not a large. The prices should match what’s advertised on the drive thru menu and online. Seems pretty shady/arbitrary otherwise.
Long line in the drive through. People that came 20 minutes after us and ordered before us and got their food and left before I was even able to order. The food was good, but after 48 minutes in the drive through waiting and let others jump ahead of me and the six cars in front of me. Poor customer service.
In there with the husband and my kid. At 10pm sharp they said we had to get out. In the middle of our meal because they're closed now.
I love blizzards but there are no DQ’s where I live. When I get the chance I always get one. I went here last November and it was fine. Went last Friday night so they were extremely busy. Ordered 2 blizzards and a malt. It took 10 minutes which was OK due to the crowds. I always order the same large size blizzard. This one was normal the first inch down then it was just ice cream after that. There is no way they put in all the stuff they should have and they certainly didn’t use the blender. Must have just filled a cup with ice cream, dumped on some ingredients and stirred it with a spoon. For rarely being able to have a blizzard this was pretty disappointing.
DAIRY QUEEN or DEBT QUEEN. I’ve never been to a dairy queen. They have none where I live nor close to me so I said let’s try it I think I know why there are hardly any Dairy Queen’s around. If this is how they all are first thing I noticed, while I was waiting for my order, it was dead silent. There was literally nobody in there . I was in there for about hour and 15 minutes and I was waiting for my order for about 45 to 50 minutes. One worker in the back moving very slow the two workers in the front one of them on their phone and the other one just chatting and laughing. I also noticed that they did not really care about the drive-through customers either and made them wait. Let’s talk about pricing. I bought a burger and a blizzard. All I wanted was a burger and some ice cream why am I paying for a Xbox membership $20 that’s kind of big in fact that’s huge and the burger wasn’t even that big. It was a little bit bigger than a softball. As for the blizzard, I was hesitant to eat it when it was handed to me because it looks more like plaster then ice cream. I’m not a big fan of fast food, especially in the recent years since more and more information has come out about the food and the workplace and the companies. And now I’m deathly not a fan of Dairy Queen for reference. I got a triple stacked Swiss bacon type burger. When I picked up the bun off of the onion ring that was inside of it the mayonnaise look like shaving cream if that’s not disturbing that I don’t know what is the blizzard I got was full of cookies which I ordered but the cookies tasted more like plywood and had the texture of cardboard, I have half of mine to go stick my fingers down my throat to puke it all up for fear that I might get radiation poisoning, or turn into some mutant monster from fallout 4. Two out of five star would not recommend.
Ok.... I go to DQ occasionally because they have ice cream and a very inconvenient however I was disappointed last couple times I went there Wednesday and got a chili dog cuz I was gravy and it was pretty good and then went back on Thursday and I had no exoneration one spoonful of chili on my chili dog excessive ice cream never giving it away so that filled me up continuity is about most importance and I think they should have a little more specific training on that for the preparing staff
I ordered 2 shakes girl only gave one at drive threw. So I paid $6.50 for the second shake at the window, only to receive the wrong size.... It took FOREVER to get my order it's 110° out for goodness sake! I didn't want to bother waiting for them to fix the second mistake. So I just left!
I am gluten intolerant and ordered a snickers blizzard. The texture was a little off and I discovered it was a brownie blizzard. I called to speak with a manager to advise it can be serious for someone with celiacs, they were very nonchalant. I rarely go out to eat and will not be coming back.
We arrived at DQ at 7pm on a Sunday evening. We sat at the drive-thru for 10 minutes waiting for the car in front of us to be asked for an order. All cars in front of them had already paid, and gotten their food. Vehicles behind me, that could, turned around and left. Finally ordered after 15 minutes. The order was for just one Blizzard with strawberries in it. We got to the window at 27 minutes after getting in line, only to be told all strawberries were frozen, would we like something else. You couldn't tell me that when I ordered at the box 12 minutes ago? (Not like I could turn around, but at least we could have felt less rushed about deciding if we went something else when told of problem). Almost 30 minutes there, and we left with nothing. This experience was awful. Our trust and faith in DQ is gone
Worst Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I showed up in the evening for a Blizzard, didn't do the drive through because line was crazy long. Walk in and was greeted. Young man took my order and things were going pretty fast. Then who I presume the manager walks out, and you can just see how overwhelmed she is. She has no clue what is going on. Yells at employees and then makes one of her employees pay out of their pockets on an order they got wrong (because they are so busy). The guy looks like he couldn't believe he had to pay for it. As the manager or supervisor says "someone has to pay for it". Then sends the kid to go clean toilets. 20 minutes have passed and I am still waiting for my blizzard. Someone needs to tell this manager/supervisor young lady to ease off the power trip. I didn't know if I was upset about my blizzard taking so long or seeing that young kid getting punished. Absolutely horrendous experience. Someone needs to talk to this lady.
Service is the worst. Foods normally good. Every now and again they will have run out of something but not often. Every single time I go it's a minimum of a ten minute wait in the drive thru. Worst I had was 37 mins while one employee just swept the lobby in laps, their "closing" person, one girl worked while the other just sat there talking as the cars stacked up behind me. I gave it several chances and always the same, won't be going back again.
Very disappointed. Wait took 45 minutes. Many of the blizzards advertised both online and on the menu were not available. The gift card reader was broken. We came to use a $15 gift card, but had to pay instead. They took the gift card and said they would give us three free blizzards in the future, not able to use our money for a different item. It was an unfortunate situation that was not handled well.
I ordered a BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger, with extra, extra crispy fries, and a Dr. Pepper at the Drive-thru. When I rolled up to the window they were initially prompt and took my payment. Then, they made me wait almost 10 minutes before they gave me my meal. At first I thought this might be because they were making my fries extra crispy, the way that I had ordered them. When I finally received my order I drove off immediately, because there was a line behind me. But I stopped down the road to check my order. Every aspect of my order was wrong. I looked at the receipt and saw that they had inputted my order correctly, however they had substituted Pibb Extra for the Dr. Pepper I had ordered. They also failed to put BBQ sauce on my burger, even though it showed that I had ordered it. And to cap it all off the fries were soft. They made me wait almost 10 minutes for fries that were not crunchy, a lackluster burger missing it's BBQ sauce, and the wrong soda. That's the last time I visit this Dairy Queen.
Ordered 2 of the new rotisserie chicken bite baskets. Went thru drive thru, received boxes meals and when we got around to opening them it was only chicken bites and fries. No gravy and no texas toast. The bites were super dry and to hard to eat. After waiting in drive thru for 20 minutes already I went to door got missing food but everything else edible was cold. UPDATE Gave! Them a second chance. Went through drive thru, ordered the chicken tenders basket and once again they forgot my gravy and toast, the tenders were hard as rocks and inedible. I made sure the cashier repeated my order and I ordered extra gravy but apparently it was not meant to be. The drink was all carbonated water couldn't drink it. I'm so disgusted at the lack of common sense and horrible service it's unreal. I have Never in any other state had to deal with a fast food place that was consistently so incompetent. DO BOT LEAVE THE DRIVE THRU WINDOW UNTIL YOU HAVE CHECKED YOUR FOOD!
Dairy Queen has went down . I loved Dairy Queen. Messing up orders right and left very when they wasn't very busy lobby was very dirty . Had to ask to have our table cleaned and my grandson was sitting down , she comes over and sprays cleaner and it got all over him and he ended up breaking out with a rash due to the chemical that's in it , I called management cuz there was no manager their at the time tried calling the corporate number talked with someone and the was supposed to call never did .
We stopped by this location on our way to Oregon and were definitely disappointed. First they got our order wrong and we were the first car in their drive-thru. No big deal but before we finished eating our 8 year-old needed to use the restroom. Their lobby was open yet the denied us the use of their bathroom.
I ordered 5 times in a row the sMe thing have you. Then was told can't upgrade yo large blizzards so I ordered again. I understand new people are probably running the drive though but for the love of God some people just don't get it. Please train your people. Slowest drive through in Redding ca.
The work ethic of the employees is very poor. I Have shown up on multiple occasions, well before closing, and they're locked up, blocking the drive thru. They claim to be open until 11 and I have yet to see them serving customers past 10:20. Disappointing to say the least.
Worst customer service ever! When I arrived they were not that busy and had plenty of employees working. I was in a hurry so I asked the cashier before I even ordered. "How fast can I get a reg cheese burger? I'm in a hurry." "Quick." She says "real quick." So I place my order. And I wait,,, 7,8,9,10 minutes go by. So I ask her, she says it's coming right up. I wait and wait. I ask her for my money back. I'm out of time. She just stands by the food window saying "It's going to be right up." I didn't have time to keep playing this game. I just left with out my money or cheeseburger. I'll never be back.
Waited 30 mins for $26 worth of ice cream. Shouldve got a discount for how long i waited! Soon as i got to the drive through window there was only two employees working. As well, barely made our ice creams the right way.
Unclean, disorganized, ran by kids. I didn't eat, my mother did she got the chicken
Terrible, it could not have been worse, 2 times in a row I left without my food. The last time they argued with us and tried to charge $14 and change for a small blizzard and a small cone (the cones are $2 and change). The guy at the drive thru was leaning out of the window and fist bumping his friends and chatting forever while we waited. I was not paying 14 + for 2 things and after waiting forever we just drove through.. This is the second time that we have had a terrible experience here, I'M DONE.
I order on the app. Show up when it was supposed to be ready. No one told me anything. Everyone in the lobby got their order. My ice cream was melt and my food was cool.
Very hot day. 20 minutes in line. Expensive for melted ice cream that just leaked all over my car. No napkins. Out of every flavor also. Not going back.
New to the area and wanted some ice cream. Thought Dairy Queen would be awesome....OH HOW WRONG! The first indication that I made a big mistake was I waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes. When I finally got to the window I looked at my order. I had 2 small cones and a banana split. The product was pathetic. I actually had to ask for whipped cream on the banana split. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I definitely will not be back. BIGGEST RIP OFF!!
Edit 06/30/2019: Decided to give this place another shot because the lunch specials are a great price. Unfortunately I was even more disappointed than the first time. The staff is terrible. Savanna, the young lady that took my order was rude, very unfriendly, and appeared to be annoyed that she was at work. She never smiled or made eye contact, and had the same demeanor with the next customers in line as well. After receiving my order, all the staff disappeared into the back of the restaurant and I had to wait over 5 minutes for someone to come up front so I could ask for sauce that wasn't offered to me in the first place. So, very disappointed. Previous Review: Staff usually isn't very upbeat or energetic. Their lunch deals are the only reason I eat here, $5 or $6 for lunch is a pretty good deal.
Let me start off by saying this was my first time having dairy Queen and I wasn't very impressed. I mean the blizzard was ok but it could of been better. I paid 7$ for a small one.. the inside was very hot and smelled of urine. I waited 20 minutes for it finally gave up and went up and asked for a refund the lady was rude about it said she will make it right now which she did. But definitely won't be going back to that one.
Was here about 6 weeks ago & staff very rude trying to shuffle cars through the drive through because it was 1/2 hour before closing. Staff not consistently wearing masks. Took 70 min in drive through for 2 ice cream cones. Unfortunately we decided to give them another try today. Well though their hours are posted 10 am to 8 pm they were closed at 3:30 pm with chairs & a red car blocking access to drive through & no answer on phone. Is this a permanent closure????
If you close at 10:00p.m. and we pull into the drive thur at 9:45p.m. and there’s a long line, you still need to serve your customers who’ve been waiting in line for 15 minutes. It’s common sense. And I watched two different people walk into your lobby 15 to 20 minutes before you’re set to close, only for you to turn them away saying you’re closed. No…you are not closed. It’s on the door and it’s online. And you’re not slow so closing early isn’t something you little DQ minons should be doing. You sell ice cream. People want ice cream late at night. Especially on a Friday night. Maybe management should consider staying open until 11:00p.m because I can’t see it being a great business model to turn people away during one of your most busy hours. If you work in the fast food or food industry, I get it. You want to go home. But you’re not closed and you’re being paid to serve customers. If you can’t or won’t do that during the hours that said business is listed as open, lay down your name tag and go home. Whether you’re making ice cream or building skyscrapers, this is your job. So do it. And do it well. Lord help an entire generation who doesn’t have these values.
Worst dairy queen I've ever been too. The service is so slow it is mind blowing. Not to mention the super rude young people working here that dont care for quality service. Every time I've gone it's been a nightmare. No more for me. I just waited in line for 33 minutes just to get a melted blizzard that was NOT AT ALL FROZEN.
Way, way, way overpriced!! Tiny dipped ice cream cone and a small blizzard totaled 12 dollars and some change!!! $5 for a small, sloppy made ice cream cone... will never go back, I can make blizzards at home for a fraction of the cost.
Horrible service. I mentioned having a coupon while ordering at the drive thru. The girl taking the order told me my coupon was for a different item and refused to take my order. When I got to the window she read the coupon, realized I was right, and sent me to the parking lot for another 10+ minute wait while they made my order. No apologies! What happened to customer service? Why would this girl think she could tell a customer they are wrong, especially sight unseen? Why won’t I ever go here again? Read above.
Pulled up and seen a sign that said "Out of Burger patties) lol okayy isn't that one of therr MAIN menu items, saw a tips welcomed sign taped up (umm it's fast food for a readon) lol and ordered ice cream cones small but I think thry definitely serviced us mini cones was super disappointing what happened to them they used to be better. Workers Definitely need better customer service manners.
If i could give 0 stars, thats what i would have given!!! I got a large Reese Blizzard with chocolate icecream and Large Hot fudge sundae on Thurs @approx 9:45. The Blizzard was terrible. The icecream was all melted (it's winter, icecream shouldn't be melting). The icecream sundae wasn't very big for being a large and the icecream was half melted when Elliot Parker handed it to me. Elliot did not flip the Blizzard over, like they are supposed to, cuz the icecream would have all fallen out. There wasn't hardly any Reese in it, just little chips. I called, before I even got home (which my home is literally 2-3 mins away) and told Elliot my problem and his answer was "did you get a receipt?" I told him no, I told him I didn't need one, because I didn't think I would need it. Elliot told me "well, I can't help you then" I told him his customer service was awful, he just said "ok". I told Elliot "im not even home, i can turn around now". He said " well, we close in 5 mins, so i cant help you". I got the managers name Rebecca Abbot and will talk to her tomorrow. Elliot Parker didnt appologize or care. Elliot needs to be retrained on customer service skills. Our pathetic desert was over $15.00. We won't be back to this Dairy Queen. Sonic is WAY cheaper and WAY better!!!
I order a cake three weeks ago for my girl birthday party. Pick up day is May 12th 3pm. On the day of my pick up by 11:20 I had phone call with them they told me they can't make the cake I ordered. By that time till my daughter's birthday party only 5 hours left. I'm so disappointed with them. Because I ordered an image cake. At anyone store you need put you order in 24 hours head for an image cake. They person who called me even didn't say a single word sorry.
Always go there for desert today May 22,2024 at 5:20 pm very rushing got our blizzards melted asked the girl at the window about it a she asked us if we wanted napkins. No we want better service. If you have a long line wait to make the dang ice cream. You get paid enough for it.
Pulled up at 9:30 pm - they close at 10 PM. In drive thru and was asked if we would be using our ppoints. We asked for a moment before ordering. Literally a moment later when we were ready to order there was no answer and all workers had left - a half hour early! We went to Cold Stone around the corner instead.
Their desserts are all that is good there. The service was awful. I asked if they do protein style hamburger, lettuce instead of a bun. They said yes. I ordered a protein style cheese burger no tomato or pickles. What I got was a party with catsup and mustard only in a box. No cheese, lettuce or onion. Don't go there for a meal, just dessert.
A large sundae is the same size as a McDonald's sundae, for three times the price. They're desserts are definitely smaller than advertised. The food is disappointing as well. The burgers are middle of the road and the fries are barely cooked. A wider selection of dessert toppings is the only real advantage this place has. The wait time is atrocious. The staff are friendly, but the line moves at a snail's pace when the only cashier has to make desserts because there isn't anyone else there during the lunch shift. And this seems to be the norm, at least this has been the case whenever I am there. If you're looking for a good fast food lunch, head to In n Out or Habit just a couple blocks north or south. If you want decent soft serve at a reasonable price, head to McDonald's. If you want lunch to take an hour, food that's barely alright, and tiny desserts at a premium, this is the place for you.
Terrible service, waited in the drive-thru for 45 minutes with only one person in front of us. We had to repeat our order back to them about 7 times. We ordered 3 meals and 3 drinks. When we went up to the window the worker repeated our order back to us and we had to correct her. Then when she handed us our food we got only two drinks and two meals. Then they started telling us we did not order what ordered. People behind us were getting angry and started getting out of their cars and yelling. We finally got our food but it took for ever. Our food was made terribly and extremely messy. Never coming back.
The cookie crunch parfa had to thick of chocolate and I couldn't really eat it it also broke the spoon I've also been waiting for 15 to 20 min for 1 burger and 3 pretzel sticks
Had to wait for them to finish messing up the person at the windows order at least 4-5 times before we were able to pull up to the window. Ordered 2 waters, got one and had to ask for the other, and asked for no sauce and got a plain burger. I still wanted veggies and everything else that came on it, but I guess no sauce means plain; meat and cheese only. I don't mind waiting for quality but poor customer service, lack luster food, and extended wait times weren't worth it. Definitely will not be returning. -8/1/21, 7PM
Slowest drive through in the world. I’ve been here 5 times and have waited in the drive through for over 30 minutes each time. The line isn’t long, they just move very slowly. Then when they take your order there’s no confirmation of your order and it’s not a welcoming or pleasant experience. Ice cream taste good so I put up with the bad and lengthy service.
Went through drive thru about 9:15 and ordered several items and the whole order was messed up. First my husband asked for a chilli dog with ketchup and mayo and they were out of chili so he still wants hotdog with mayo and ketchup get back to our hotel to find there is only ketchup on it. Also order bacon cheeseburger with only mayo and ketchup it had lettuce. Ordered a chicken strip basket with gravy there was no gravy or any other sauce with it. Also asked at window for ketchup packets and didn't get any. We order 2 milkshakes and both were very thin should have just given us a cup of milk with candy in it. The only part of our order that was made correctly was fries but like I said we had no ketchup for them. Very disappointed with this dairy queen. If I decide to go back to this location I will definitely check every item before I leave the drive thru. I feel like we just wasted almost $40 on a meal that mostly got thrown in trash other than the chicken I let my dog have.
They made us wait out front for our food. I got my daughter a cheeseburger and I got a chicken strip basket with ranch. My husband got a burger. They brought out our food and was missing my daughters burger and my ranch. Had to give my daughter my chicken because we got home and she didn’t have her food. So annoying. There wasn’t even anyone else in line
This how much food you get in a 4-piece chicken strip meal for $7.79 (before tax). This is unacceptable. A small child eats more than this, let alone my almost teenage son and daughter who each got one of these "meals." I don't think they know the definition of a meal. I won't be going here anymore.
The window helper was pissy.. yanked the money out of my hand and the blast where runny and not great at all. Still the worse place to deal with in redding..
Mediocre product, premium price. A "medium" size blisaerd with a small portion of vanilla ice cream and a very small portion of Oreo cookie crumbs. I thought maybe it wasn't mixed well and the cookies were in the bottom. Not there. I asked the manager if she could add a little bit of cookie crumbs to the last bit of blizzard. She said no, she had made the blizzard to Dairy Queen's recipe. So other last time customers should expect the same.
Bought a single burger couldn’t even finish it, tasted like it was microwaved in a plastic wrap, worker at drive through couldn’t care less, wouldn’t say please thank you or even anything back when we told him to have a good night, wouldn’t recommend.
Purchased 3 items two of which were not for me. Once I was home i handed out the items to find that one was non edible. Called to have item fixed or swapped for equal value and was met with such a negative response. I would just like my order to be made correctly is all. No customer service at this store.
We just went to Dairy Queen in Redding, Ca. Ordered a large chocolate milkshake. Upon ordering, we requested the best chocolate shake in the universe 😋. Unfortunately, we were let down. The chocolate shack tastes like vanilla, its light and low quality. Chocolate milk in a container is richer than the shake we got and the worst of it, cost about $7 to be disappointed 😞 . Good place for generic junk food.
