El Tepe Yac Mexican Food

This place is clean, friendly, great menu and the chicken I had was tasty. I loved the salsa that they served with the chips, a great kick to it and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. Came in for a date but would totally comfortable bringing my family next time. Yum.

Of course I started with the chips and salsa and like someone had stated, spicy and good and it was! Then, my dessert came next! Fried ice cream! I chose vanilla! It wasn't enough! I needed two scoops! They should be arrested! I don't know what the coating is but it was nice and crunchy and covered in whip cream (I didn't need that) but oh so good! I chose enchiladas, one beef, one chicken, red sauce! Yep, somebody back there knows how to cook! Thank you for making my day! I'll be baaaacccck!

Great food! Great drinks! And always great service! We eat here just about once a week.

This was by far my best food experience here. The homemade salsa had a great heat to it. I decided to try something different tonight, I ordered the Tampiqueña. I was not disappointed. The presentation was amazing and the taste was OUTSTANDING! And as always, the staff is over the top friendly.

My co-worker, Danny, got me hip to this spot. It was no joke! Pozole was delicious. They don't skimp on quantity. There was meat in every spoonful. The service was awesome. I loved it. Gotta try the Albondigas next time. It was gud!

We’ve been coming to El Tepeyac for years, and even sat outside many times during the pandemic when they set up a makeshift dining room as many restaurants did. It’s located in a pretty dead & dated strip mall, but it seems to add even more to the appeal of the restaurant. The music is cheerful & authentic, the food is delicious every time, and the staff are very friendly. If you are looking for fast service however, this is not the place. Service is very slow & many times you have to wait several minutes to be acknowledged in order to be seated. Service isn’t slow each time, it’s hit and miss depending on who is working. We are patient people so it doesn’t particularly bother me. Today we had to get up and ask for the check and a box after about 15 minutes because our waitress was busy with other tables. She did apologize and said she had forgotten about us. Very friendly staff! We love supporting local, so we continue to return. I always order the same thing because I don’t know how to venture out but everything we get is always fantastic. Today I had the enchiladas verdes combo plate, hubby had the carnitas & guac burrito, and the kiddos had some burritos & quesadillas.

This has been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants forever. Great service and great food. Their salsa is the best in the Inland Empire. I highly recommend the carne asada plate I have pictured in this review. They have grilled scallions and a large pepper on the plate. They have authentic rice and beans but the asada steals the show.

Awesome food! Quick service, clean and friendly! Mmmm it was so flavorful and seasoned well! Hot hot sauce and tomatillo also!! Got to go and eat! Way better than 90% of Mexican restaurants out there for sure! Hi he rolled tacos were the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant!! By far!!

I asked the waiter if the El Tepeyac in LA is similar to this one and he said it’s a different family. Getting that info out of the way, I know I had to try the Chile Relleno which is always a real favorite of mine. I paired that with Carne Asada to have a good breakfast to start the day. Looking at the pictures, you can tell that they give you a lot plus I love the added Grilled Jalapeño and Cebollitas😋 All of these for a very reasonable price. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the freshly prepared meal and the excellent service. Bathroom is also clean and well maintained. I will definitely come back when I’m in the area again👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Love this restaurant! Plates are generous and absolutely delicious!.Free chips and salsa are served. The place is not too big so it's best to to go a bit early, before meal time is best. The staff is friendly and feel free to ask for more chips while waiting if you run out. They have the best traditional music playing (not live) and a discount punch card ! After 5 meal punches the 6th meal is free. Their staff is considerate toward their patrons and do wear mask.

El Tepeyac never disappoints. It is easily missed because it is located in a strip mall that has very few business left operating. The service is not the quickest but have some patience. Everyone is very friendly and the food is fantastic. We take half of our orders to go and have it for dinner. The portions are huge and excellent value for your money. I usually always order the enchiladas verdes but this time I went for the enchilada, relleno and taco combo. I’ve added photos of our recent trips. Delicious food I highly recommend!

Salsa is great! I wanted the empanadas but they didn't have any. Ordered the torta and it was pretty tasty. Will go back soon.

I asked for change to tip him, and he brought back large bills like he was expecting a 25% tip. I went to cashier and asked for change to give him 15%. I believe he didn't deserve a tip, but I did what I figure is correct.

We ordered Margaritas and an appetizer called the mini tepeyac which was good but hardly enough to judge the rest of the menu. I recommend you try at least once.

I've enjoyed this restaurant for many years, but they have shrunk their portion sizes quite a bit, as well as always being out of certain foods...like lettuce to make salad. Their prices have not been reduced to compensate smaller portions and them not having basic food, what is that about? I hope they get everything straightened out...this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and I am now second guessing ever coming back!!!

I am 100% Mexican and the food here is not authentic. I ordered the sampler and none of it had any flavor. Everything tasted bland and the flautas didn't come with lettuce or tomato or cheese like the typical toppings that one would get. The fries were burned and tasted old. All the good reviews are from White people who don't know what real authentic Mexican food is. Also, the chips and salsa did not taste good either. Save your money, your time, and your taste buds.

OREGANO LOVERS here is your spot! And take advantage of when the servers actually tend to you and ask for everything you will need the first time because they forget about the tables. Everyone is busy cleaning instead of serving their tables. I will say that the ALBÓNDIGA SOUP WAS AMAZING!

Food in delicious but the young kid kick some take out boxes to put them back under the counter with dirty shoes. My wife ask for some ice told all 3 persone and was ignored.
