I took my kids here during winter break and it was a hit! My kids are picky eaters, but they really enjoyed the food and already want to go back. I loved the Taco Burger. Great spot for families!!
Wish they were still in riverside! Wife and I go monthly for years! Same old Taco tia! Love it! Taco burgers r the best!
This place is awesome if you want to get a taco burger or a green burrito way better than bakers
Stopped by here on a whim because I turned the wrong way. I had low expectations because I thought it'd be a quick cheapy place. Came through the drive thru and was greeted nicely and I let him know it was my first time. He suggested a couple of things and I went with the ground beef taco and a bean and cheese burrito with red AND green sauce (I like it saucy). I paid less than $9, and the guy told me the sauce is what is really the most popular because it's homemade. He gave me six. I decided to eat inside since I had a moment to spare and man if that wasn't the best fast food tacos I've had in decades, beats the big chain competition by a long shot. The taco had a fresh thin crunchy shell, with a lot of ground beef not overly salty and not dry or overcooked. There was also a stack of lettuce and shredded cheddar to really get a good value. I drank the sauce up with it. Reminded me of when the big chain's sauce was actually good when I was a kid, but better! I tried it both in the bottle and in the cups, and the cups I liked more. They were not super cold which made the flavor stand out more and reminded me of enchilada sauce. The bean and cheese burrito with both sauces was also soooo good! Perfect cooked beans, nice and cheesy and SAUCY. They were so friendly, even watching them interact with other customers was very considerate and kind. Lots of regulars here. One gentleman talked with me about the history of this place and even told me he worked for one in Riverside like 60years ago. He was really friendly. The restaurant itself is like a blast from the past, nostalgic, not intentionally, but impressive keeping the tables and benches in such good condition. Pretty clean except some dusting in the vents. I didn't check out the bathroom so I can't comment on that. I will definitely be back and am so glad I finally have a place to satisfy that craving for a good hardshell ground beef taco and b&c burrito, I've had for so long.
One of my favorite places for burritos and tostada. The tortillas taste home made, beans are awesome, fresh shredded cheese and even the Coke was good with big clear ice.
This place was a favorite of mine in the early 90’s. I happened to be in the area so I got a crunchy taco, green burrito and a meat burrito. Dang that was good but I only ate the taco and green and now I’m having the meat for dinner. It’s the same as it’s always been. Good, honest food in Mexi-California flavor. You won’t find this in Mexico or Texas.
I have never eaten inside or on the property, but going through the drive thru its always quick and the employees always appear to be in good moods. I have not have a bad experience here at all. And the food is always amazing. Taste exactly how it did in the 90s when they had one in Riverside off the 91fw.
Every time I visit Redlands I need to stop by my favorite spot Taco Tia! Best value for your $$$. I am glad they still have the Wednesday Special.
Been coming here since I was A child Taco burger for me is best Everything on menu is good I raised my children eating Taco Tia now they Eat here also with my grandbabies customer Service Is Always great 👍
We stopped by Taco Tia in Redlands, the last remaining location of a chain founded by Glen Bell—yes, the same visionary who later created Taco Bell! It’s incredible to experience a piece of local history while enjoying some fantastic food. We tried the hard-shell ground beef tacos, and they did not disappoint! Made fresh to order, they were packed with great flavor and had that perfect, satisfying crunch. The red sauce they serve alongside is a game-changer—it pairs perfectly with the tacos, no extras needed. The drive-through experience was smooth and efficient, with clear signage and a convenient parking lot. Even with a few cars ahead of us and plenty parked, the wait was quick—a true sign of a beloved local spot that delivers on quality. Overall, the tacos were excellent, and I’m already looking forward to returning to try more of their menu, especially the intriguing taco burger. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to visit this local gem and taste a piece of history!
This is the only Taco Tia left in the IE sad to see this fast food places disappear i remember going to the Taco Tia next to Redlands High School at Lunch time and cruising nights we used to cruise the boulevard and stopped there for some dinner I moved away from Redlands but every time I go there I must stop by and have my favorite Red Burrito .
Its not the best place for anyone doing the ketogenic diet, but I was able to get a decent chicken salad for $7.99 and a drink. The down fall is I wanted to do 2 tacos without the shells in a Styrofoam container but they couldn't do it for some reason. The staff is really hard working and sweet. Thank you again for bringing our food out to us.
What can I say Taco Tia goes back to the times of McDonald's. It was founded by Glenn Bell who transferred the fast food concept from the original McDonald's to Mexican food. After he was inspired by Miguel's Cafe on Mount Vernon and San Bernardino. The food there is tasty. I don't know what it is but they just put the right amount of cheese and I like the salsa. The only negative I could say is that it ends up quite a bit pricey compared to other fast food. I still recommend it.
Ordered a combo burrito bean rice cheese and ground beef for five bucks it ain't bad sauce was really good I did not give it five stars because I don't know what the inside looks like I went up to drive through it was fast service I went around 1:30 or so in the afternoon it wasn't too busy Staff ver friendly he gave me a walk-on because I told him it was my first time there he mentioned that everybody loves the salsa which I agree I see myself going back again
Worst food ever. The chicken burrito was horrible we threw it out. The hamburgers tasted old. We all got instant stomach aches we will never go back. Save your money and stomachs.
They put nacho cheese on asada fries ask shredded instead upchatge. Meat is low quality idk who gives 5 stars for pre-made hard shell tacos with old meat
They nickle and dime you i asked for green sauce for my burrito they said it was an extra charge. The asada was more like ground beef went early in the day and the meat tasted old. The burrito was mostly flavor less rice tho...I hate boot leg burritos 😤😝
