A very nice dinner with friendly service and the food was excellent. We had a quiet table in the front window. The 450g chateaubriand plus two sides was a good portion size for the two of us and the wine was reasonably priced as well. The meat was cooked exactly as requested (rare) and for the chateaubriand you get to choose from fries/chips etc, keeping in mind that because it’s a sharing dish you can get different choices if you have different preferences. We weren’t offered condiments for the fries but also didn’t ask. We had the chimichurri sauce, which was ok, but not really needed because the steak was so good, and next time we wouldn’t get it again for that reason. The chili tenderstem broccoli was also really good and the portobello mushrooms were as well. I’d have preferred smaller, sautéed mushrooms, but it was still very good. For dessert, the mango and passionfruit cheesecake was excellent and not too dense. Overall a very good steak experience and we’d happily come back. The service charge was added automatically onto the bill.
Fantastic Steak, cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates attention to detail when cooking a Steak. You can have it EXACTLY as you want, size, cut and everyone's steak was cooked perfectly.
Buenos Aires is THE steakhouse to go to in the area. I have never once had anything wrong with anything I have ordered here. The steak is always cooked perfectly, the cuts are very good and the quality of the steak itself is always top-notch. Highly recommend eating with the pink salt, it adds so much extra flavour. The one time I had something different I decided to have the Garlic and Lemon Herb Chicken, which wa easily the best chicken dish I have ever had - and I normally don't like meat served on the bone. The wait staff are all excellent, polite, and make very good recommendations. Also, the Chocolate Fudge Cake is banging. 11/10 every time.
What a great restaurant, the food was exceptional, the staff are very friendly and the manager Angelo is super friendly and accommodating, might well be the best restaurant in Reigate, good food, good service, happy me, Thank you Angelo really made us feel welcome, ah and the spinach was the best I have had in years
The best, perfectly cooked steak, I've had in a long time. It's doesn't look like much from the outside but looks are definitely deceiving. They have a great choice of steaks and cuts, cooked to perfection, with a fantastic assortment of sides and sauces to accompany them. As well as a excellent selection of wines. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it's great for little ones too, especially if they have a good appetite. Book ahead as it gets very busy, but definitely one for those who love a great steak 😊
Fantastic steaks and sides. Staff are very polite and professional and offer deals and specials but not in a pushy way. Average meal for two is going to be about £100,but very much worth it.
Had a great time here. The place was clean, the food was awesome and the service was extremely friendly. There was a little bit of confusion with one item on the menu and this was quickly cleared up. The starters, mains and desserts were all tasty and very generous sizes. We've wanted to go here for quite a while and on the strength of this visit I would definitely go again. One of the best restaurants in Reigate, easily.
Excellent meal! Our starters, main and dessert were perfect. We went for the smaller four types of steak cut as our main and the favours did not disappoint. The customer service was great as well, they made sure we had everything we needed and explained the different cuts to us. I would recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic food and lovely waitress throughout the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the wine too 👌🏼
I have been wanting to visit Buenos Aires for years but for one reason or another I haven't been able to. This year for my birthday I made sure of heading here for my birthday meal, and what an amazing meal it was. Firstly as soon as we stepped in the restaurant the manager (who happened to be looking after us) made us feel so welcome, like we were old family. We had two kids in our party and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure they were looked after. Between us we had fish, steak and burger and all the meals were superbly presented, tasted delicious and portion sizes were perfect. Two of the party had the steak sharer with the malbec infused salt - the manager gave excellent advice on the correct level of cooking for each of the cuts, and made sure we knew which cut was which when serving. We thought the salt could have been a bit of a gimmick but it really added a lot to the cuts. Desert wise our party tried a couple of the different options on offer and they certainly didn't disappoint either. From a drinks perspective the restaurant offers a good range of wines, and great mocktails. If you have the chance I would definitely recommend trying the limoncello as well. Personally this meal experience for me has been the best one for quite a few years, and I am very glad I decided to push on with my desire to have my birthday meal here this year. I just hope I can return again soon.
We all decided to go for the steak sampler, a selection of four cuts of beef with sides; we weren't disappointed. The quality of the meat was excellent and cooked perfectly to compliment. Only spiced Malbec salt was required to season. The staff were friendly and helpful; overall very well priced considering the quality of the meats served.
It’s not the cheapest place but it serves the best steak I’ve had in a very long time. Excellent meal and friendly staff. Don’t bother with the chicken, it’s all about the steak. Had a fantastic family meal here.
The best steak I've had! I've now been here four times and have been very impressed and thoroughly spolit every time. On our most recent trip....The service could not be better; they are welcoming, attentive, funny and informative. I asked for their recommendation on how to have the rib eye cooked, mentioning that I am a fan of fillet cooked rare/blue, and they recommended that I have the 'spiral cut' rib eye, as this has all the flavour of a rib, but could be cooked rare due to the way it was cut.....and wow, they were right! Never tasted anything like it! The starters are great. A nice light entrée to the larger mains, but great dishes in their own rights. I've had the black pudding twice and highly recommend it! The wine pairings are fantastic, I'd advise asking for their recommendation on what's best for your dish. We had a Malma Family Reserve, which (being a fan of malbec anyway), was stunning. Smooth yet full bodied, just amazing. We had a lot of laughs with the waiting team who were so happy to answer all of our silly questions about Argentina, beef and wine! They even gave us both a glass of red dessert wine on the house....which was amazing! All of this topped off with the fact that we went on a Tuesday, meaning 2-4-1 steaks! In summary, not the cheapest of restaurants, but you get a lot of bang for your buck. They really know how to impress! I will be coming back here as often as I can!
Delicious food, great friendly and helpful service in a modern setting. I heard good things about this restaurant, I'm really happy I went on that recommendation and would not hesitate to visit again.
Just the best steaks served superbly well in pleasant surroundings 👌
Absolutely excellent food, in a pleasant surrounding with great service. Steaks are on the rarer side of the spectrum, and on a busy night it can be a touch crowded, but easily made up for in the quality of food
Amazing . Every part of the meal, from the house red all the way to the desert. Will be returning for sure!
Best steakhouse around. STEAKS COOKED TO PERFECTION !! Quality of service, attention to detail, and Cristian the manager is friendly and professional.
Attended for a family birthday, great selection of starters, mains and desserts. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Food was cooked well and was lovely. Would visit again. But would say try and book a table in advance, to avoid disappointment.
Went on a Sunday so the place was very quiet so can't really give a good rating on atmosphere. Lovely steak cooked very well and exactly as asked. Very polite, friendly and professional staff. Also had the home made banoffee pie which for the price was a bit smaller than I would of expected however it did taste fantastic. Would defo recommend.
Incredible steak, wine, and dessert with great hospitality. Highly recommend.
Large group. Attentive. Polite and were amazing with the kids. Highly recommend.
My wife and I had a lovely meal here last week. Christian, the manager, was a very warm host helping to make the night enjoyable. The steaks are not thin like you get in a lot of restaurants. They were actually thick and so were cooked as requested - medium so were still pink on the inside with a good char on the outside. Exactly the way it should be. The vegetable side dishes were not over cooked and still had a bite. Only criticism is that they were slightly over salted, but this is minor. Staff were happy and overall the place had a good vibe. Overall highly recommended.
Excellent steaks that were cooked to perfection. Definitely coming back for another visit
My first visit to this great restaurant yesterday, early evening ,Sunday 30th October. I went with my brother and friend who had always raved his good the steaks were. They were right - the rump steaks were delicious. Service excellent and we had highly entertaining conversations with the staff. Thank you for a great evening. I have already recommended a work colleague to go there!
New favourite spot! Myself and my partner went here and we can't fault it. The staff were lovely, it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Best steaks we have had in a very long time. We will definitely be returning here!! Highly recommend! Free car park after 6pm less than a minute away too.
Everything was perfect. Had a great steak, cooked to my liking. Lovely flavour. Great service. Would recommend.
Perfect steak as always the chorizo sausage was perfect aswell we didnt have as much time as usual since we didnt have a reservation so i felt slightly rushed i also was awkwardly aware of how much staff looked over the tables however the timing was our fault and we still had a delightful meal and i know they only look over the tables to provide fast service so all around a fantastic meal and experience
An excellent restaurant. Great food served up with brilliant service. Well worth visiting for a great meal out.
Best steak in town. ! The quality is second to none and all perfectly seasoned. Christian the manager made sure we were well looked after. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Had delicious calamari for starters and sirloin steak for main, which was one of the tastiest steaks I've had. The bottle of Malbec was very nice. Staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive.
Treated my mother to a Steak Dinner after a long time and we chose here as her friends have been saying it's the best steak in town. They were right! The quality is second to none and all perfectly seasoned. Christian the manager was working alone however we felt looked after and he was very knowledgeable and made us feel special. Thank you, we will be back soon.
What a delightful atmosphere. Sunday lunch time, family friendly and excellent service. Christian was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was 5 star. We had the sharing platter with steaks, chicken, sausage and delicious vegetables. Plenty of food, but still room for a dessert and excellent coffee.
Went with my friend who came from the USA yesterday evening 21 March food was fab wine and starters I had ribeye medium rare , cooked to perfection, succulent just the right amount of fat . My only gripe and I told the server Lewis that the mango cheesecake was a bit dry for me but I would come again and would recommend it as a great steakhouse my friend was impressed with everything and we even took pictures with the server and there was a lady serving us too . Thought also sauce for the steak would be included but wasn’t and could have been slightly thicker .
Really lovely food and great staff - restaurant jam packed on a Friday night. Only downside was having to suffer a table of four youths who had no manners or consideration for other customers. Best beef empanadas I’ve had!
It is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Reigate. But it is fair to say that it says more about the other restaurants than about Buenos Aires Argentina Steak house. The service when I was there was somewhat botched (waiters seemed lost, food coming to the wrong tables...). The steaks were very good. But I found the prices a little high. The children's menu (hamburger) was a let down: burger's bread with a dry hamburger.
Brilliant service, great warm welcoming people. It's a Steak house, just what you expect from a steak house. 4 star's as the price is a little high for being a chain restaurant.
Went for a quiet dinner.Steak wasn’t bad, slightly tough.Giving four star for side dishes. Will give a try for other main dishes on my next visit.
They need to get Argentine Matte tea. Nice selection of steaks and some vegetarian options too.
I was looking forward to dining here for my birthday meal. We both had the fillet steak and a starter. Starter was a little bit on the small side and the serving of chips and salad were incredibly tight. The steak was succulent and tasty. I did mention the lack of salad and chips but nothing was done to rectify this. Otherwise, staff were great, albeit a bit too tentative except, of course, when I stated my disappointment at the portion sizes. To conclude, I won't be in a rush to come back here. I went home hungry and ate more at home which totally defeats the object of having a meal out.
I should have sent my sirloin back. It had tendon in it and was tough. My son's said his ribeye was excellent and my partner had pasta which he really enjoyed.
Came as a family of four with two kids for New Years Eve. Restaurant has a lovely intimate feel to it when we arrived. Menu as you expect is mainly steak focussed but it also includes fish, burgers and chicken dishes. We ordered the Buenasado Argentina ‘Grill on the Board’ for two people and the kids ordered tomato pasta and steak from the kids menu. The good points... - Food arrived without too much delay - Chicken in particular was very juicy - All the meat was cooked and seasoned well The not so good points... - Fries were over cooked unfortunately and almost rock hard - You would expect the kids pasta to include cheese but it didn't. When we asked for some cheese it cost extra which again was surprising considering how much we paid for the whole meal. - The rump had quite a bit of fat on it which we ate but could of been a bit nicer. - Salad had too much raw onion and couldnt taste any dressing - A medium sized bottle of still water was £5.25! I ordered this by mistake as thought I was getting tap water. Bonkers pricing! - Chocolate fudge cake was nice although it didnt include any fudge sauce was ive seen in other photos and the portion of ice cream was very small (in a little tub). Next time just put it on the plate, it doesnt need a tub! - The background music could of been a bit more lively - especially for new years eve Overall, it was a nice family meal to celebrate the new year however I could tell this place was all about the money which was a shame as it gave a bit of a negative impression on the way out.
It started well with a wonderful cocktail but overall unfortunately it has declined since we ate here last year. There was a mix up in the kitchen in regards to the doneness of our steaks which they quickly tried to correct but even then my steak was over peppered with too little salt. The creamed spinach tastes oddly floury. Lovely fries and sauces, the starters were good but the tomato salad was quite basic. The staff were very nice and attentive.
Ordered the steak platter to share. We requested to have them blue. Waiter suggested having the steaks medium rare and even when we reiterated we would like them blue still suggested medium rare. I joked that we would not eat them or we wouls send them back and would like blue please. We were not looking for an arguement on how he likes his steak cooked. Wine was incredible and a lovely malbec I would have again. Steaks came out. 2 blue. 1 medium rare. 1 medium. Tried to send them back. However the other waiter tried to argue that they were cooked to 37'c which would make them blue. (1 was medium not even rare). When we pointed out they were overcooked. Instead of taking them back, he went and got a thermometer whilst still arguing that we were wrong and that he eats blue steak. When probed the steaks were over 50'c and he conceded that they were maybe overcooked (ignoring thefact they were grey and not pink). Second time around they were all blue and tasted fantastic. Well done to the chefs. Although the food was great second time around. The waiters were not friendly and seemed to want to argue all the time. There were 5 tables in use. So not busy If a paying customer wants their steak cooked a certain way, why argue with them? Would return for the chefs cooking. But will certainly not return due to to the rudeness of the staff. Simply not worth the hastle. Will return to Gauchos next time even of it is a bit of a trip. 1 starter to share. 1 steak platter for 2. 1 bottle of wine and 1 apple juice. Over £115. They also added on service (when it was terrible service) which I really wish I had asked them to remove and would have happily given to the chef directly.
Disappointing Dining Experience. My recent visit to left much to be desired. Despite its promising reputation, the overall experience was underwhelming at best. The food was strictly average. The steaks, which are supposed to be the star of the menu, were poorly seasoned and average quality . Side dishes were bland and uninspired, lacking the flavor one expects from a restaurant specializing in steak. For the price point, I expected a much higher quality of food. Service was another significant letdown. There was no warmth or effort to make diners feel welcome, which contributed to a rather cold atmosphere. One of the most frustrating aspects of the evening was the severe lack of toilet facilities. With over 30 tables which can accommodate over100 customers and only one toilet available, the wait times were unacceptable. This oversight led to an uncomfortable and inconvenient experience, detracting significantly from the enjoyment of the meal. In summary, it failed to deliver on multiple fronts. With average food, impersonal service, and inadequate facilities, it is not a place I would recommend. There are many other establishments that offer a far superior dining experience.
The waiter gave me the wrong dinner, and when I pointed it out he argued that I was wrong. I had rump steak, the other 3 with me had fillet, so it was plain to see he dished it out wrong. My steak was undercooked so went back. All four of our dinners were very salty. To their credit though the bill was adjusted at the end. Its a shame because we had been many times before and always had a good meal, but this time was very bad.
Let down by service and some of the food ( took 20 mins to get a jug of water and 3 times of asking ) . Sauces not brought with the steak . Garlic bread starter burnt … should not have been served . ( was black on one side ) and bread accompanying the prawns was not nice. Prawns themselves were tasty . Prices were steep for what was being served . The steaks themselves were delicious . We will not be returning
I’ve never felt less impressed at a plate of unprepared, unrested steak in my life. I ordered medium to well done fillet steak. It came out rare, I asked for it to be cooked and rested a little longer. 5 mins later it came out as medium rare and zero rested, so I ended up with undercooked meat for my taste and a plate swimming with blood. My wife asked for medium rare and received it blue, she also asked for it to be cooked a little longer, just for it to be slightly seared on the outside and still blue in the middle. Neither of us were able to eat our meal. All of that for a £136.58 Needless to say, I do not recommend Buenos Aires in Reigate.
Service was fine. My wife’s steak was fine but my ribeye was undercooked for medium rare but was warm but while we sorted out the watery creamed spinach which was really poor the steak had cooled and along with the inedible fat on a ribeye steak made it impossible to eat. When the waitress collected the plates she said you should have said! Don’t waste time or money on a Malbec source as it doesn’t have any taste and is far too watery and had to be exchanged for blue cheese. Cocktails were great even at £11 a pop. They knocked off the watery spinach and said that you should have said about the steak even though I left half of it. I have been to Buenos Aires restaurants before but not this level of service or quantity of food. Overall very disappointing. Avoid
Got to say. I'm not from London area as more up north. Attended with friends, and must say I'm shocked at the high cost/pricing of the food and to even get a big bill for service charge. Tips or service charge should be down to the customer/s to give. If they got a good service. And not feel we need to pay staffs wages. And we had other food added to the bill. But did get removed after someone complained. Service was good. But as stated. Food is over priced and worse of all is the cheeky service charge added. Wouldn't attend again
