Everything was amazing, can’t wait to come back!!
Food has always been on point, friendly staff!
Excellent coffee and service!
Fast and kind workers
Coffee was quick and delicious. Bagel tasted incredible!
My daughter and I love coming here for a a special lunch together. Everything is always delicious. The service is always friendly and polite. The place is clean and great ascetics. And really reasonable pricing for high quality food. I cant wait to go back!
Excellent coffee. Avocado bagel was tasty but a bit expensive for only half a bagel.
Never misses
I’m currently sitting at one of my go-to locations for Uncommon Grounds, and it reminded me why I keep coming back. Both the Rensselaer and Stuyvesant locations consistently deliver a great experience. Even when it gets busy, the staff move from customer to customer with a level of care and efficiency that keeps things flowing. Somehow, you don’t end up waiting nearly as long as the line might suggest. More importantly, the environment feels comfortable and welcoming. The staff are able to be themselves while still treating customers with respect, which makes a big difference. That kind of balance doesn’t happen by accident.. it reflects strong management and a team that’s supported. I recently had a very different experience at another nearby “bread-bakery-café” in Latham, which made me appreciate even more how consistently positive things are here. The difference was night and day. Have a great day to anyone reading this.. put your money where the good experiences are ❤️
I was saddened by the closure of the previous bagel establishment, as it was my preferred morning destination. I am pleased to note the opening of a new bagel shop at this location. While they do not offer Chipotle mayo I enjoyed my BLT. Their customer service was satisfactory. Given their recent opening, the interior aesthetics are impressive. I am quite enthusiastic about this development.
I came here to get a little work done but also had an online meeting later that day. I ended up having my meeting there as well because honestly I was comfortable. The food is tasty and the seats are comfortable. It gets a little crowded at times but people get take out or have a quick bite to thin it out. Much better than the Latham location.
Great service. Great bagels. Grest coffee. Great prices. My new go to place.
This location is quickly becoming my favorite! My drink is perfect every time and my bagel always tastes fresh and absolutely loaded with whatever I ordered on it. The staff is friendly and talented as well! I got latte art!
Nice atmosphere, excellent food, service & great menu. Get there early—it gets quite crowded because it’s so good!
First time visiting this Uncommon Grounds location. Lovely, good vibe, good service, and very good food.
One of the best cafes overall in the Capital district. Very consistent coffee and since they roast in house it's an easy choice for grabbing a fresh roast for home brewing. Bagels and service are excellent.
Everything we’ve tried here has been amazing! Especially love the winner winner and the baked goods.
BEST cold brew ,bagels, & cream cheese by far in the 518. Their prices somehow are more competitive as well. Idk how they do it when their quality is far superior to any spot around. I was tired of wasting money at DD & Starbucks, Bruegers etc. Only wish I discovered them sooner. I usually go to University plaza location. Glad they are on this side of the river finally!
Been here lots since they opened and the food and coffees are great. Service is friendly and the space is well kept. Love all the outlets and workspace as well as different seating options. Family friendly too.
The bagel sandwiches were great and coffee was fresh! Friendly staff. I will go back to try the other coffee flavors.
Visited today for the first time. Prices were great and my bagels were delicious. Love the atmosphere! Best of luck!
So cute! Delicious bagels! It doesn’t really feel like you’re in a strip mall. Very happy they opened up this location.
Great place for bagel 🥯 and coffee.
I ordered a egg and cheese on a bagel it was so fresh and delicious I also got a chai tea latte best chai I’ve ever had
Looks great but it's still under construction 🤣
Best bagels and sandwiches!! Great service! Oh and delicious cookies too!
Beautiful place never even knew it was there and I work down the street. Had the best bagels they are huge and soft and their cheese one is beyond. The ambiance is there. Prices on the drinks and food are a bit higher than I'd like but when I went my work paid for it so I'm good! Definitely would go back for the bagels!
4 years ago This place has one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I have ever had!! Uncommon Grounds advertises itself as a community café that specializes in fresh-roasted coffee and freshly baked bagels. The café is warm, inviting, calming with art work and a social activity hub. They have 3 locations(been to all 3) around capital district and this location in Clifton Park is the most convenient to me. The other locations include Saratoga and Albany. I ordered my chicken salad sandwich on a jalapeño bagel with tomato, lettuce, green peppers, onions and jalopenos. I try a different bagel each time and my favorite would be the everything or garlic bagel. I f I not mind their tuba bagel sandwich too but I just cant get rid of the lingering taste it leaves behind. Take your laptop, catch up with your friends or you want to just go sit there to waste some time and find your inner peace......this is the place to be.
The bagel sandwiches, coffees and lattes are delicious here! Great atmosphere and plenty of seating.

What I love about this place is the taste of the bagels. I loved their plain bagel with sausage and cheese. The coffee I loved it too. quick service though the 1 person who make my sandwich shes kinda rude but thats okay my food taste good anyways. Price is fair I recommend go here instead dunking donut. Not just serve fresh bagels and good taste coffee the price is right!
This place is awesome. It's a basically a higher quality Panera bread that probably has better prices. Food portions are nice and large. thanks for having me.
Fabulous bagel! Got the Healthy Harvest, was LOADED with veggies added capers and it was like being in NYC! Coffe was delicious as well.
Perfect density bagel. That right balance between heft but also squishiness. Great base for the turkey sandwich I ate. Lovely ambiance and a great place for an afternoon of remote work.
Super busy place, always friendly staff and the best bagels and coffee around. We absolutely love the bagged coffee.

They need three rotating order takers at the counter to keep the line down. All the yuppies ordering their lattes slows down the line.
Decent bagels for the area. Coffee is terrible if you consider yourself an aficionado.
So glad this is in our town now. I got a smoothie and an egg and cheese on a bagel. Both very good. Nice atmosphere
Very comfortable coffee spot. For is good. It's Panera Bread light.
Got a lox bagel, coconut macron, and vanilla latte. Everything was fire. The service was quick and the workers were nice. My only complaint is that the atmosphere was mid and the tables were kinda dirty. Would come back.
The Mediterranean breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the coffee (caramel latte)was perfect- exactly the way I like it, highly recommend
Definitely a breakfast/brunch place more than anything else. Good place to get some work done, really nice atmosphere. The salads are HUGE and very good. I got the balsamic vinaigrette with mine which had an interesting texture (thick) but tasted how it should. Standard coffee options. Bagels are really thick, but the chocolate chip cookies are perfect. Overall it’s not bad and convenient for the area.

Great ambiance in this café. The bagels are large, fresh and very flavorful. I appreciate that you can get a decent size bagel at a great price where other well known bagel shops have reduced their size while increasing prices. Their baked goods are also excellent and we've joined their coffee club and began purchasing our nags of coffee there. Excellent coffee!

The good. 100%, best bagel! BF had the flying pig and loved it. The not so good. I had the western and was not impressed. Tiny egg patty and a few veggie shavings. Dry. Conclusion. I'll stick to Bruegger's for breakfast sandwiches but Uncommon for bagels and cream cheese.
Very busy, long lines. Didn't wait super long for my order but it was a crap shoot if there was a table available after ordering.
Great spot, but the seating isn't divided at all and makes it pretty noisy. Would like to see seating areas partitioned to both limit noise and make it feel cozy
The Uncommon Grounds cafes are usually warm and welcoming with good food. During my visit to the one in the plaza near Defreestvill NY today I found that there are exceptions. I ordered the avocado toast bagel creation and realized that no one had tasted the avocado, which was not at all pleasant. As is all too common these days the counter staff assumes that all orders are take out orders so the bagel creation came to me in a box and it is pretty much impossible to eat it from a box. Then I discovered the most unpleasant part of this particular cafe, which is that the manager doesn't know enough to stop the employee who is so desperate for therapy that they are spewing their mental issues across the cafe in their outside voice. I finally had to loudly interrupt the non-stop stream of psychological agony in order to get a plate. Managers: taste the food to make sure it is ok and tell your crew that they are going to have to do therapy outside the cafe and pay attention to customers. At least the coffee was up to UG standards!

Staff has poor attitude and gave me the wrong drink- I go to uncommon all the time in the Concourse in Albany- I always order the same thing. Today I ordered my coffee in NG location and they made both of them wrong and didn’t even fill one of them up all the way: and this drink I know isn’t supposed to be a lot of milk- 75% of the cup was milk and ice.
For being super excited for a new location, I was surprisingly not impressed. Understanding it is a new location but when it’s not busy you would at least expect your order to be correct. When I got home I noticed I never got the extra add ons I paid for, I tried calling the location twice and no answer.. Coffee was not good either, we ended up making Stewart’s at home. The service was fine, just wasn’t sure of the sweatpants and hoodie attire, couldn’t tell who worked there and who was there to order.
Heated milk is not the same as texturizing with micro foam. Very thin tasting latte.
Definitely not up to the standards of the other locations. Wrong drinks, wrong food then blamed another worker. Sandwich had chicken salad instead of cream cheese… and they argued it was right.
I know they just opened this location, but until they get their standards up to meet the standards of their western ave location, I’ll be driving all the way out to western ave instead of this location even though this one is far closer. If you know uncommon grounds, you know you’re getting your moneys worth with their sandwiches, this location gave me one slice of turkey across the whole thing, a complete 180 for what we’ve all come to expect from them. Off to a disappointing start.
Disappointing experience. I stopped in to grab coffee and breakfast for my wife’s birthday and was met with rudeness from multiple staff members. Despite making an effort to be polite—saying good morning, please, and thank you—the barista barely acknowledged me, avoided eye contact, and responded with low energy. When I didn’t tip, the attitude got worse. My drink wasn’t called out, and when I politely asked if it was mine, I got a sarcastic response: “Does it say chai on it?” Same story with the food—missed the order call and was met with an eye roll and an annoyed “yeah.” No one seemed interested in basic manners or customer service. I get that it might’ve been a rough morning, but that doesn’t give you the right to take it out on paying customers. Won’t be back.

Sad to give this review. The food and coffee is great, the folks are friendly, but the wifi is nonexistent. Not worth stopping at if you want to sit and study or need to do an assignment: you will spend more time trying to get connected than it would take to complete the assignment, and still won't be able to connect at the end
The location is overrun by gnats. I see people clapping hands together I’ve their food all over the place trying to kill gnats. We have to put napkins in our food to stop gnats from landing on everything. They need to wipe everything down with disinfectant clothes in the prep area and back kitchen and pour bleach down the drains at night to kill the gnats. Bathroom hallway may be ADA accessible, but it is not ADA friendly (super tight turn radius). They don’t say the soups as often as the other locations. Bring back Hungarian Mushroom! Generally love Uncommons. Please fix the gnats.

Classic bagel shop that can’t get orders right . Drove 40 minutes back to this place asked for either a refund and it be remade for the inconvenience or refund and of course because God forbid they remake it. They just give me the refund. Your companies really are just disgusting. Be prepared for more bad reviews if you don’t make this right
No egg on my breakfast sandwich, the one item that’s supposed to be on every breakfast sandwich… Ordered takeout so I can’t get it fixed.
I don’t understand why toasting a bagel and adding cream cheese is confusing for bagel shop employees. My order is never correct here and they always give you attitude when you let them know your simple order is not made correctly. I asked to have my bagel remade and an aggressive amount of cream cheese was added to my bagel out of spite. The sausage was also cold. Please do better.
Normally, I have always gotten bagel with half side a different cheese and half side other cheese. It is such a standard thing to do every where. This lady who took order gave a such a dirty look to us, like we don't know what we are talking about. After that, she barely acknowledged us, wouldn't make any eye contact, and just felt like she didnt want to talk to us. But while we were waiting, she starts talking about us and how weird our order was, as we can hear her waiting for our order, which just made it awkward, uncomfortable, and somewhat insulting. I usually love coming to this place, but this situation just left me feeling like I would rather a hit a different location.
I order a bagel with lox egg and cheese . I drove 20 MINUTES to get there just to get home and it’s made completely wrong. Yeah I know it’s a god damn bagel but it’s the principle of having to go all the way back now to correct my order AND still have to pay $15!!!!!! Refund me or this review is staying up . Literally you have one job ..
I had a similar situation just now when I asked if any of the bagels were vegan. It was just a simple question, but I got so much attitude from the girl that took my order. Her eyes rolled so far back into her head and she was shocked that I even would dare to ask her that question. She clearly didn't know the answer, and asked another coworker. They both laughed at me. I don't understand the poor customer service. I'm thinking this is a Gen-Z situation, but management needs to step up and train these younger people to stop with the attitude. I've worked as a barista before so I understand the stress, but there's a way to answer customer questions without the negative retort. The matcha was lackluster and definitely did not have an simple syrup in it. I will be supporting the East Greenbush Starbucks from now on... 🙄
I asked which bagels were vegan friendly and one of the staff members said none because they all contain whey protein (which seems odd to me because the everything bagel is pretty much always vegan and they offer many non dairy milk options). He was pretty snappy about it as well. Then upon further investigation I found out the plain, everything and sesame seed bagels are vegan. I understand that some staff members may not always know the answer to these questions but instead of quickly snapping an answer, take the time to find out for sure or ask someone who knows. Weird vibes for sure.
