Been eating at Fab Hot Dogs for several years. Tasty little hot dog joint. Lots of hot dog choices, clean restaurant, fair prices, staff cares about what they're doing. Been here a long time and the locals know it well.
I don't eat hot dogs very often....but when I do...it's always this place. Top quality ingredients with imaginative menu ideas...it never disappoints and the prices aren't too high. Delicious!
The people and food are 2nd to none. Yes its an old school hotdog hamburger joint, but its the people behind the counter that make this place si damn good. The food is awesome but the people are amazing. Cheers to the crew.
Yes, the hot dogs are delicious, especially the Chicago dog. But its so hard to choose because the protein bowls are a great deal. You can easily have two meals from one bowl and they are less than $10. The quality of their chicken is excellent too so even if you just get a salad with chicken breast on top you will not be disappointed. Don't miss out on their house made ranch dressing!! Oh and the onion rings are so yummy!! The staff is really sweet too.
I think Fab Hot Dogs has one of the best hamburgers around. Way better than In n Out, and their tater tots are amazing! I now come here regularly. Haven't tried a hot dog yet, but I'm sure they are also amazing. The staff here are always super friendly, and helpful if you have questions. They deliver with the major delivery apps.
Amazing hot dogs!! Working on trying everything on their menu. So far all the hot dogs i have tied were very good. One unexpected item that I tried was there sea dog and I have to say, it was one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had. Crispy fish, lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce, on a hot dog bun. So good!
Haven't been here in years as I currently live out of the area. The food is every bit as good (or, perhaps, even *better!*) than I remember it. The garlic fries are heaven. The sweet potato fries are wonderful. The variety and quality of hot dogs and sandwiches is unbelievable!!!
Nothing much to add. The hot dogs and burgers are always a guaranteed satisfaction and the staff are always nice and friendly. And somehow they manage to maintain their menu affordable while every other restaurants around have been on a price hike. Favorites: Fab Dog, garlic tatter tots and Coke or a peanut chocolate shake.
Great place to slack and bring friends, try different types of hot dogs and certain bold flavors on anything fried. Loved the french fries they had, a bit oily and just a tad bit of expensive. The place is not that big, so the seating will be a bit constrained but it's fab!
Good quality fresh food with great taste, i had an LA street dog (7/10) with beer batter onion rings (10/10). My Husband had a steak burger with garlic tater tots, he seemed to really enjoy everything. We will definately be going back!!
I had a nice experience at Fab Hot dogs. There is plenty of parking. I went in to meet Brian who was at the counter. Brian told me about all the most popular hot dogs that they serve. I ordered and it was ready within minutes. The restaurant is filled with pictures of customers. The Fire Department is a big fan of Fab Hot Dogs. The Police department is also a big fan of them. If the Fire and Police Dept go there to eat, well= you know it is an excellent place. I go the Fab Hot dog. It has tomato relish. It was delicious! This is the first time I tried tomato relish. Please look at my photos. The food is excellent. The dining area is clean and spacious. There are so many options and choices that all looked very appealing. This is a great place for Hot Dogs!
As delicious as the hype about this food place for good prices. There’s not a lot of popular and yummy hot dog spots around the LA valley so I’m glad to have finally tried Fab. Oh. And the garlic fries are 🤘🏻
Love this place! I’m from Chicago, so I had to try their Chicago Dog, and its pretty delicious! So far everything I’ve had here has been great. If you’re looking for a good hotdog spot, this is it!
Let’s be honest. Fab’s is darn good and easily deserves a 5 stars. Whether you get a burger or hot dog, the food is darn good. The big wow here is how darn good the tater tot’s are. Easily a big fan and the pricing makes it a place you can go to often.
This place rocks! Consistently high quality and a large assortment of hotdogs and burgers to keep you entertained. The burger party platter came with a great assortment of burger. Veggie for vegetarians, turkey for non beef eaters, bacon for baconators, etc! Tater tots were super crispy, they're like french fries but balls.
If you're looking for a great hot dog 🌭 this is your one stop shop. I love the food it's great and fresh.
Fantastic Hot Dogs and Burgers. They have a great variety of different styles on the menu, or you can build your own. I've never had anything that was bad in the years I've been going. There are some "just ok" items, but overall everything is off the charts. You just can't be health conscious to eat here. Each item probably takes a year off your life. But it's sooo worth it. I highly recommend the pastrami burger and their onion rings. Those are staples in my order. Pastrami burger (top) and the current special, pork belly burger (bottom) pictured here.
One of the BEST hot dog places around! My parents are from Chicago and this is their favorite, and mine, in the San Fernando Valley. It's the real deal!
FAB HOT DOGS offers a gastronomic pallette of colorful comfort. The counter artists deftly create vibrant, tube-steak sandwiches. The Chicago-style hot dog is an excellent example. ¹ First, a pink-red, all beef dog is heated in boiling water. When at temperature the color becomes an inviting red, it is encased in a cloud-soft, steamed, yellowish-brown, split bun, that's lightly coated with blue-black poppy seeds. Next, layer upon layer of sweet and savory condiments fashion the collage. First, a zigzag line of brilliant yellow mustard highlights the red hot. Next, tablespoons of chartreuse pickle relish and diced white onion are gently layered. Carefully nested, between the sausage and the bun, are two red tomato slices, and on the opposite side, two yellow-green sport peppers. Finally, a deep-green kosher pickle spear is placed on top and sprinkled with a dash of greenish-brown celery salt. Perfection. My system for devouring this mixed texture "salad on a dog" is to pull the pickle spear, squeeze the bun, and take a satisfying bite; then alternate with bites of fries and pickle. Be aware: hot sports peppers bite back. It is considered gauche to squirt ketchup on Chicago's hot dog, but enlightened to dip crisp, golden-brown fries into the gorgeous red condiment. Fab provides all-meat frankfurters and burgers. Order from Jessica or one of the other friendly, knowledgeable counter people. There is no table service. Since hot dogs are reflective of the street culture of their regions, New York style frankfurters ² are combined with the acid fermentation of yellowish-green sauerkraut, diced raw white onions, and dark-yellow mustard, to provide the proper "Big Apple Tang." The sandwich is encased in a yellowish-brown, split, steamed roll. Defined by California's Mexican heritage, ³ pink-red frankfurters, wrapped in pink-white striped bacon, are roasted to reddish-brown. The charred, bacon wrapped sausage is placed into a yellowish-brown, split, toasted roll. Lines of deep-red ketchup, bright-yellow mustard, and snow-white mayo, intertwine to highlight the protein. Fried, until charred, diced white onions, and multicolored peppers are layered, completing the "LA Street Dog." At Fab, proteins may be boiled, steamed, fried, or grilled and enjoyed with a selection of Mexican and American soft drinks. Gluten free buns, fries, chicken, onion rings, sandwiches, salads, and corn-on-the-cob, fill their menu. Recently, an assortment of "bowl meals" has been added. They will mix or match to meet your dietary preferences. Sit Indoor or on the patio. Telephone, internet, carry-outs, curbside pickup, and no contact deliveries are available. Everything, including easy, free parking, and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. Keys to use the bathrooms are available at the order desk. Fab Hot Dogs has a special benefit for regular customers. Eat all that's on the menu (Not, hopefully, in one sitting.) and get a t-shirt and have your picture displayed in the "I Ate It All - Wall of Fame." The Food Channel's Guy Fieri (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) loved the place. His picture is proudly displayed. So be a kid again. It's just like sitting at a picnic table on the 4th of July. Didn't no anything on the menu but choose the Kansas City Dog bc that's where I was born and that joint is pretty good.

I traveled about 2 hours for this and it was absolutely worth it. Chicago dog was fantastic, but the BBQ slaw dog won me over hard. It was so delicious. I can't wait to come back.
Whoever is working the grill knows exactly what they are doing. Everything I have tried there has been good. The onion rings taste freshly battered. The ranch dressing is delicious. The chicken and Swiss sandwich is simple but so good. The Chicago dog is perfect. The protein bowl is still a great deal for the price. They are closed in the afternoon, I think, around 3:30, so be aware that if you want a late lunch it might not be open.

Cool place, managed by cool people (If you own a hot dog place you are already cooler than most ;) Different styles of dogs, most of them taste good. It is important that people will eat in the smaller places, and not just at the huge restaurants. Otherwise we will lose the uniqueness, and all will be the same… Food is good, not amazing, just the way hot dog should be like.
Pushing the envelope of the hot dog experience. You can get a bacon wrapped dog, a grilled dog, or just an old school dog. They have an amazing list of ingredients that you can add to customize your dog any way you want. They do an amazing Chicago Dog and the Chili Dog ain't too shabby either. They are not cheap, but the price is fair. $6 and change for the high end dogs on the menu. Great root beer floats. Their onion rings are perfect. Service is great. Friendly, courteous, and they are very good at keeping the place clean. Order at the counter. Wait for a table. Tables usually open up by the time your food is ready. They share a parking lot with a large strip mall, so parking is rarely an issue. Bathrooms are older but clean. Located in the back down the hall at the end of the dining area. The seating area is small and they have 3 tables on the patio outside. I would not recommend bring a large group to eat in. Dogs are fine on the patio, but unless they are service animals, they have to stay on the patio.
Great service here, the guys are friendly and quick. They have a good selection of hot dogs, burgers and even salads. Speaking of which, the little green salad they offer for a couple bucks is a great deal. They get plenty of repeat customers for a reason. Good place to go when you have the urge to debase your health in a tasty way.
great food. decent prices. bit of a wait went around 1pm on a Saturday. I ordered and the cashier said I could get a free slice of pizza while from next door while I wait by showing my receipt from Fab's. points for that... The bald eagle is great. It's not greasy like you expect but a juicy dog encased within a crispy outer skin shell. Don't bother with the garlic fries. They are just fries with a slap of garlic on top. They'll kill your breath too... They're no dodger stadium garlic fries though And the wait... well... come hungry and patient
We were driving past this place when my friend pointed out that we'd seen it on tv so we decided to stop in and give it a try. We got a couple of ripper dogs, a Chicago style dog, fries, and a strawberry shake. It wasn't bad - the hot dogs were serviceable but nothing special. The chili was bland and didn't add anything to the hot dogs. The Chicago dog had all the right ingredients but seemed a little off in the execution, slightly off in the proportions and a little overly mushy - not bad but not really memorable. Maybe one of their other specialty dogs would stand out a little more. They also have a burger on the menu and maybe a couple of other items. The fries were really good and between the two of us, we finished them all and wished we had more. The strawberry shake was exceptional it had plenty of strawberry bits that didn't clog the straw. I'd go back if i were in the neighborhood (maybe just to get a shake) but wouldn't make a special trip there.
I had lunch here today for the first time and as far as the service and the food this place is a must if you like burgers and dogs. I had the Jalapeño Avocado bacon cheeseburger and I was delighted, I'm hard tho impress but the taste and quality of the food is top notch. the place is not to small but it's a bit tight due to the fact that my brother has to move on a wheelchair. The ketchup and the mustard containers were sticky as was the table, but other than that I was the place is great.
Expansive menu of varied hot dogs and burgers. They even have salads. You can't go wrong with any of the incredible hot dogs. No takeout menus available and staff doesn't seem to care much. Go for the food and don't miss the Garlic Fires!
I wish I could've tried the whole menu! Dozens of bratwürst and hot dog combinations but the burgers do not disappoint either. Garlic tots were great too.
I got a green hatch chili chicken sandwich. Not bad. Not really my taste but good amount of chicken for the protein I was looking for.

"Lord have mercy.". Those were some nasty hotdogs. 😂. I'm sorry but that was just bad. 🫤 I'm talking Walmart buns, 99¢ store weenies and everything they topped it with was slop. I just can't go on y'all, just don't do it. ** The onion rings were actually very good, a stark contrast with those hotdogs. At least it didn't make me sick. 🤷♂️
I wish I could say this place was better. I ended up going for the Kansas City Dog. Don't get me wrong the sauce did not disappoint but everything else did. Walking in the place looks a gloomy & empty. The staff seemed to be half paying attention & also got my name wrong for the order but that's besides the point. The Service & atmosphere were nothing special. Where the experience lost its specialty was the food. I feel like when you order a hotdog from a place specializing in hot dogs that the cheese should at the very least look delectable maybe even melting but that wasn't the case for this location.. the hot dogs flavor was lost in an excess of grilled onions. The dog itself was not flavorful because of the onions, there was a good bbq sauce inside but it wasn't enough to uphold the rest of the weight of the overwhelming onions or dry tasteless cheese which covered the top layer of the dog. As a side I ordered some tator tots which was also short of normal, some salty. I really looked forward to the save & grace of this review to be their milkshake. I ordered a chocolate peanut butter shake which I looked forward to despite the depressing hot dog. I was informed there were no straws so I took the lid off the drink & began to try it out. It started ok with a huge taste of chocolate but the part that really disappointed me was the peanut butter flavor. It wasn't like it was evenly distributed & tasted like peanut butter... Nope. Rather the peanut butter was left inside like a giant spoonful of creamy store bought peanut butter. It was just a giant chunk sitting inside the center of the so called shake. That being said I tried finishing it but it just tasted so bad that I ended up getting rid of it. I'm sorry to say this place wasn't what I was expecting & it had so many good ideas but poor execution in the kitchen. I left photos of the menu in case anyone is interested in trying their food. I apologize as I do not see myself coming back here again.

Fabs was awesome and for the most part always nice. Today I witness the new cashier take my money and then pack my order without washing his hands. Told him politely that if he was gonna touch my order to next time wash his hands. The kitchen cook then gets involved and starts yelling at me “whats the problem, the cashier always touch money and packs orders”. Truly wasn’t a big deal until the cook made it one. Awesome staff fabs.💛
Dogs, tots, hamburgers....this is my type of place. Everything has been wonderful and tasty. Friendly staff.....NOT anymore! I have eaten at Fab Dogs for over 14 years, I went to their location when it was a hole in the wall. I have taken friends and family to enjoy the dogs and tots. I have had heated discussions with people over the best dogs in LA. That sadly ends today. I got REFUSED service because of my service animal. The young lady cashier was rude. And I am highly disappointed. Don't worry I filed a nice report with the ADA. Enjoy sorting that mess out.
Not worth your money The pastrami sandwich was super salty
Got lunch from them today for a group. Garlic tots were just okay. Hardly any garlic on them. Two out of our four orders were incorrect . We asked for no onions on an item and it came with it. Fortunately the person wasn't allergic and was able to work around it. Asked for a plain chicken sandwich, only meat bun and lettuce. We were told that's not on our menu. I repeated I just want piece of chicken on a wheat bun with lettuce, nothing else. Well I got home it was a tiny piece of overcooked Chicken on wheat bun with lettuce tomato onions and mayonnaise. Ended up tossing most of it. What a waste of money ! The staff had a horrible attitude as well. Not welcoming or friendly at all. Don't know what happened. It used to be much better there. Very disappointed and doubt that we will be back again.
How sad, I used to live this place but hadn't benn in years and decided to order it today for delivery. How epically disappointing! Kansas dog asked for no cheese, covered in cheese Cheese Coney asked for no onions again covered in onions Finally my kids grilled cheese I picked a side of tater tots for arrived with fries.... Not a happy camper. Why allow customers to make item changes if you're just going to ignore them. Oh and I tried calling the number Google has it goes to a mailbox that hasn't been set up sooo here we are
Damn Fabs what happened? I used walk in here and just smile. But now it's just depressing to walk in, used to be so lively walking in here now even the employees don't even want to be here. The food used to have some of the best quality ingredients and now they use the cheapest possible ingredients. I'm on the wall of fame here but I don't think I will ever come back.
Interior: 5 stars It looks kinda like real authentic US diner. Music is nice. Its clean as well. I like small things like images on the wall, branded door matts etc. its clean as well Food: 4 stars Its good but nothing special. Bun is super mediocre, sausage is small. Fries felt overdried to me. But the garlic sauce is nice Customer service:2-3 stars As a business owner I pay close attention to service quality. This is one of the most important things in business Lady at the counter was not friendly at all. I ve seen McDonalds employees working with more passion. Right after I made an ordered she finally realized that my electrical scooter might not be allowed here. This is the first time I encounter this problem in the the fastfood. I have never being told to take my scooter away. This is crazy. Finally the owner approved my scooter to stay While I was putting it next to the wall I was hearing that lady pronouncing my ordered somewhere in the far. I can tell this lady is working her minimum wage over there and dont give a heck about anything else lol So total is 3 stars not more. Not sure I will come back there again Upd. Wanted to give the another chance but they were closed at 4pm(!) lol
