We went for my son's birthday. Get the queso!!! Our waiter was very attentive.
Quality Mexican food at a reasonable price! I had the "Numero Uno" and queso. They were both very good and I substituted the tomatillo sauce on the cheese enchilada for chili con carne. The Mexican rice was as it should be and the pinto beans were good as well. Other food items ordered were chicken quesadillas and combo fajitas, all of which got excellent comments on taste and quality. Even the tortilla chips were good! Service and atmosphere were very good as well. If you have been here before, I'm sure you have been more than once. If not, you should definitely give them a shot!
Best Elote! Everything we've had has been great! One of our new favorite restaurants! The brisket enchiladas and Frankies fried rice as some of the best dishes!!!
I went here with a group of friends, 8 of us in total. The waitress was friendly and efficient with all aspects of the meal. The salsa is very good. Queso Blanco is, too. I got the Chile Relleno with brisket and rice and black beans for my side. The rest got a variety of dishes from tortilla soup and jalapeno poppers on the smaller side to steak on the larger. Everyone was happy with the taste, quality, and cost of the meal. It's not the fanciest place but it is the kind of place you can hang out and have fun. There are several TVs to watch games and a bar, too. Seems like a great neiqghborhood place.
We got queso, tortilla soup, spinach tamales, and the Mexican lasagna. The queso was quite unique with spinach and white cheese and above average overall. The Mexican lasagna was very flavorful and also unique to this restaurant. The spinach tamales were made well but I didn’t fancy them. Overall, the food was better than many other Mexican restaurants I’ve visited and well worth the price.
If you didn’t pull into this little shopping center, you would never know what you’re missing. Tucked into a neighborhood road, this place feels like a true hidden gem. I’ve been here over 100 times, primarily back when it was Frankie’s, and I gotta say the quality hasn’t changed a bit. Plenty of seating indoors with a large bar and plenty of TV’s. Chips and salsa are something to write home about, so solid. White queso rivals any in DFW. Went on a Saturday and Sunday back to back and ordered the breakfast enchiladas both times. They were stuffed with breakfast sausage and cheese and then topped with hollandaise sauce and 2 eggs, incredible. The margaritas, specifically the frozen, are stiff and taste great. Service is friendly, and food/drinks come out quickly. Easiest 5 star review I’ve written in years.
Yelp Review for Dos Arroyos Dos Arroyos is so good we went twice in one weekend. The fresh warm chips and salsa are a perfect start to the meal. The ambiance is warm and homey, making it feel like a hidden gem in a cute neighborhood in Richardson. The service is no-nonsense but efficient, and the food is an intriguing mix of classic Mexican flavors with a bit of a twist. The brisket enchiladas are outstanding, but the carne asada is even better. On our second visit, we went for brunch and were not disappointed. The breakfast quesadilla was massive and absolutely delicious. I had Agustin's enchiladas with mole sauce and steak, which were perfectly balanced. We capped it all off with churros that were the ideal sweet finish. The all-day happy hour is a huge bonus, and their house margaritas are on point. If you're in the area, Dos Arroyos is a must-visit.
Dos Arroyos Comida Casera is fantastic! The carne asada was tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. The brisket enchiladas with mashed potatoes were a unique and satisfying twist. The margaritas were delicious and strong, and the fun 80’s playlist added to the lively vibe. We went back for brunch, and the breakfast quesadilla was perfect—flavorful and cooked just right. Bold flavors, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere—I’ll definitely be back!
We’ve been visiting this location as well as other restaurants in the same family for years. We were in town on Friday and visited looking forward to our favorite meals. We love the charm and ambiance of this location, tucked in a corner, multiple dining rooms, authentically themed. We arrived at dinner time around 5:30pm. Despite being crowded, we were seated right away at an indoor table. They have two covered patios and one that is basically enclosed as well. I’m always glad to see so many people at our favorite places, as I know we’ll continue to be able to visit! One of the highlights of our visit is always that our drinks remain full, for the entire meal, no matter how long we stay. Frequent refills of iced tea cannot be understated – if you know, you know. The salsa is also fresh and regularly refilled. We started with a cup of queso, jalapeno cheese with spinach. Chips were refilled a couple of times so we could finish it. The queso was rather thin on this visit but is typically thick and gooey melty yummy. My husband ordered crispy tacos, not his normal choice, but he cleaned his plate in record time, so I think it’s safe to say he loved it. He went with ground beef tacos and black beans. I ordered Agustin’s enchiladas sub street corn for beans, my go to at this location as well as their sister locations. Delicious as always and excellent service!! I wish the parking situation was better, but again, I think it’s indicative of just how good the food is!
I had the egg and beef burrito. I loved it! The flavors were spot on, and the portion size was good. I 100% recommend this! Pro tip would be to add some of their fresh salsa on top, and damn, you have a delicious burrito. A friend of mine had the tamales; they were a bit dry, but the mole was good. If you like having a nice, quiet place to eat on a cozy patio, this is a great option.
First timers here. My husband had brunch and I had lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately. The staff here operates as a power team and doesn't skip a beat. The food was delicious and kindly priced. The salsa is BOMB and the overall service here is wonderful. Lorena is a doll. We will be back.
Wow, this food blew me away. I came here to celebrate moving into college and the plate was exactly what I needed after a hard day of work. The chips are crispy and fresh and the salsa is super spicy in a fantastically refreshing way. Most dishes come with seasoned rice that was so tender and your choice of black or pinto beans that were creamy and well seasoned. I was going to order the pork tamales, but they were unfortunately out. That being said, our waitress was an angel and figured out a substitution and gave me a plate of veggie tamales with shredded pork on top and they were AMAZING! I was absolutely obsessed. The brisket enchiladas were also incredibly tender and hearty. Overall, this food was *so* good and I can’t wait to come back.

Staff were pleasant and refilled chip bowl, but did not check in as often. As I would expect. Food was okay, but not amazing. Portions for everything were generous except for the soup. The credit card reader was down when we were there and they asked us to pay cash which was unusual.
Food was ok. Fajitas, Guiso, breakfast tacos and carne asada was ordered. The carne asada had a weird piece of processed cheese layered on it. Just a weird presentation and more like a steak vs a true skirt steak carne asada. The guiso was good, but the meat was really dry and felt like it had been sitting out for a while. server was really good, but just a different vibe. More rustic bar that serves mexican food than a true mexican food restaurant.
In all fairness, they had a big lunch rush. The service was decent considering the crowd. The food was good, even if it took a while. The chips and salsa are definitely the hero of this story. They even accommodated my picky friend with a warm (temperature) salsa option, which wasn't my taste, but he loved it. The Torta was good, I really enjoyed jow much avocado they put on it, which I think warrants the price. Overall it was a good visit, and it is a place I would recommend. If you are on a lunch break, consider calling ahead, or plan on an extended lunch time.
Salsa and queso are both good. Good cantina style chips for scooping up the goodness. Elotes is great! And they bring a bottle of hot sauce to spice it up as you desire. It is a large portion, so bring a friend. Nachos - a little disappointed that $14 gets you 7 nachos. On par for what you’d expect, but nothing special. Angie’s enchiladas and pretty incredible. Great flavor, good portion, would order again. The fried rice was pretty awesome too. A little salty, but surprisingly great flavor. Food was great, parking at this particular location is garbage, and the service was pretty slow for Mexican. Might be all right during off hours, but I’d go somewhere else if it’s a Friday/Saturday night.

The place is very dark. I couldn't read the menu and was having trouble seeing my food. The mole was awful. My daughter didn't like her soft tacos. The ground meat was tasteless. The staff was very kind. And the place is neat.
Group of teachers was asked to leave. Manager felt that not enough food was ordered, although various drinks, plates and apps were ordered.
